Hakari star goddess: Hello! New idea for a special story! Hehehehe.
*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
As she was walking, Amber heard a footstep behind her. She didn't look around; she just stared at her feet while she kept moving.
Amber pulled out her red Walkman from her backpack, and put her headphones on. She turned the volume all the way up and pressed play. As she walked, the music blasting into her head, something caught her eye. She whipped her head around, her shoulder length black hair gently brushing against her face.
Amber looked into the window of a near-by shop, she saw a purple dress, sparkling in the gleaming sun.
She looked away and began walking again, concentrating on her music.
***************
As Amber reached the steps, she thought, but not for long and slowly walked up them.
She pulled her hand out and uncrossed her arms, taking out her folded piece of paper from her pocket, with an address on it.
Amber looked away from the paper, and clenched a fist. She stared at the door for a moment then raised her fist. She whacked three times with her fist. Amber noticed the knob starting to turn; she took a deep breath and curled her hair behind her ears.
A small boy was standing tall at the doorway. "Hiya!" He smiled.
"Hello, I am very sorry to bother you and your family, but do you think I could speak to your. .mother?" Amber's mouth curved ever so slightly, giving the boy a friendly look.
The boy looked a little confused. "I don't have a mommy."
"What do you mean?" She looked at him worried and sad for the poor little boy.
"She left us.when I was four.its only been five years but it seems like forever..."
"I'm so sorry.same thing happened to my mother, I am well, searching for her. Sorry to bother you, and thank you." She turned around, walked down the steps in despair.
The boy shut the door, and watched her walk away out of his small window near the entryway.
She hung her head walking back to the street, once again blasting music into her ears. You could hear drums if you were only a few feet away. A small tear dripped from her eye, and splashed on the sidewalk. Amber sniffled, quietly, and swallowed.
She noticed a bench near a tree, in the shade painted a fading green. The girl swung her backpack off her shoulders, and sat down placing the pack beside her.
Amber unzipped her backpack, and inside was a notebook, three pencils, a bag, and a cell phone. She reached for the phone and dialed a number.
A girl answered. "Hello?"
"Hello, is Trinity home?" Amber asked.
"Yea, hold on one sec."
"Hello?"
"Hello? Trinity?"
"Amber? Is that you?!"
"Yes! How have you been?" Amber asked with a stuffy nose.
"I'm good, how's the look for your mom going?"
"Not so good.and I'm uber tired!"
"Why don't you stop by? You could spend the night at my house, then be on your way again!"
"No, I don't want to intrude."
"Don't be silly Amber!!"
"You're being to giddy..."
"Sorry.but your coming right?"
"Yea, I'll be there in about an hour or so alright?" Amber zipped her pack up and swung it back over her shoulders.
"Ok, see you soon." Trinity hung up the phone. Amber hit the off button on her phone and dropped it gently into her backpack.
Amber stood up, her long black skirt flowing and her skull tank top blowing with the wind.
She began heading towards Trinity's house, seventeen miles away, walking into the setting sun.
Hakari: Hope you liked it! More coming!
