The Past

Chapter 1: Thinking

Katheryn Ellis was sitting in the Gryffindor common room thinking of memories from her past crying. She was a third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She has a few friends, but mostly everybody ignored her. She had a boyfriend who loved her so much, a loving mother, a caring father, and a jerk for a brother. Little did she know her life would change very quickly.

Two Summers Before

Katheryn woke up to hear her mother crying. Katheryn jumped out of bed and ran downstairs.

"Mom whats the matter, what happened" said Katheryn almost breaking into tears herself?

"Katheryn get your brother and sit down".

Katheryn got her brother and sat down on her couch with her brother and listened to what her mother had to say.

"Your father passed away yesterday, your aunt found him and he was dead. I won't tell you what he died of yet, but I will tell you soon" said Katheryn's mother crying again.

Everybody hugged each other and wept, this was a time of reuniting for the first time in years. It was the worst day of her life.

The Funeral

Katheryn woke up early the day of the funeral, it was sunny, cool, and breezy. Not your typical funeral day. Everyone was crying at the funeral, Katheryn couldn't get the tears out. She knew it would hit her like a ton of bricks, once the shock wore off.

Katheryn sat in the back room, she couldn't stand her father's relatives, they all felt sorry for her. She didn't want that, she wanted to be left alone with her friend that came along. She wanted to cry, to be left alone. What would she do without her father, she wanted her daddy back, her daddy was strong, and was "immortal" in Katheryn's mind. She never lost anybody, and she was too accustomed to having her father be there for her.

The Common Room

Katheryn remembered that, she couldn't take it, she wanted out, she wanted to die. She needed someone to be there for her. Draco was making her life a living hell, by coming up to her in the halls and saying "Where's your friends, why are you so ugly" laughing and walking away. She wanted to do something about it but didn't know what to do.
