All right, here's the deal. This is all after Kikyo's death. Kagome just died in one of those epic battles against one of Naraku's henchmen. As she lay with her head in Inu's lap, her final words were, "I…love you…Inu-Yasha…", which were uttered so faintly, that only Inu's fine-tuned dog ears picked it up. Then, she died. Now, Inu's uber-sad because after Kikyo's death, he finally realized that he truly loved Kagome, but was too afraid to let his emotions show through. He's also sad because he never got to say goodbye to the 2nd person he was bold enough to love before they died. This is his song…
