Unwelcome Homecoming
Chapter One
Harm walks out of the elevator as Mac is walking down the hallway. Harm does not see her at first and walks in her direction. They accidentally bump into each other.
Mac says, "What are you doing here?" in a surprised tone.
Harm replies, "The Admiral and I discussed my situation over the phone and he offered my position back."
Mac says, "Since I am the chief of staff, How come I wasn't notified about this?"
Harm in his cocky way says, "You sound so upset about this?"
Mac replies, "Now I'm supposed to succumb to your charm, and go back to the way it used to be before you left!!!"
Harm says, "So you sense some charm in me?"
Mac says, "That is not the issue. The issue is you coming back like nothing ever happened, and by doing so, will change all I have worked to achieve!!!"
Harm says, "Lets get one thing straight. You owe me. Not only did I put my life on the line for you, I put my career on hold, and I don't even get a hello."
Mac replies, "I never wanted you to try to save me. You did that by your own free will. No one asked you to be my knight in shining armor!!!"
Harm says, "Sorry for caring just a tiny bit about your well being. I'll be more careful next time!!!"
Petty Officer Coates interrupts, and says,
"Hi Commander Rabb it's so great to see you again. The Admiral wants to see you."
Mac says, "Well I guess we're finished."
Harm says, "I guess so, Now if you will excuse me, I have some important business to discuss with the Admiral. Bye Colonel!"
Mac replies with a scowl, "Bye Commander Rabb!"
