Chapter 9

With Eren's command, the Yeagerists didn't spread to the whole crowd about his return, even though there are some who wants the crowd to know their savior is back.

(Flashback)

"What do you mean we can't spread the crowd about your return? Everyone has been dying to see our savior again!" Holger says.

"And that's why we can't let the crowd know." Eren says in a calm tone. "The Rumors are claiming my demise, and it should be better this way. Once the news of my being alive spreads to the world, that will make everyone attack Paradis."

"Then we'll just fight back!" A soldier named Surma says.

"Do you think you can win?" Eren asks. "Have you ever thought of how many people will die because of this action? How many innocents are going to be dragged into this? The reason I'm doing the Rumbling is that I want to protect this island, protect all of you. I killed all of the people outside of Paradis just so you can live, I'm not going to be the reason why you're dead."

This causes every Yeagerists and those who are by his side to get shocked. Eren says, "I'm not saying we can't win. We have the power of the 8 Titans with us, but they have far more advanced technology. As long as there are still people who can operate them outside of Paradis, we're still in trouble."

Louise asks, "Then what do you want us to do?"

Eren says, "First of all, thanks to Armin and the others, some of the nations are working with us. Right now I want you guys to find the spies on Paradis Island or Marley's mainland. If they're not in our alliance, then try to follow them to see what they're up to. If we want to win the war, first we need to inspect the enemy."

Everyone nods in agreement, and Eren says, "And I will like to introduce someone to you." He turns to Erwin and says, "This is Commander Erwin. He was the one who led us to victory during the fight to take back Wall Maria."

The Yeagerists gasp as they learn all the deeds of Commander Erwin, they also heard how he sacrificed himself on the battlefield but drive away the Marley forces during the raid.

Erwin steps forward and says, "As the former Scouts leader, I'm happy to see a lot of Scouts wanting to dedicate their hearts. And I'm looking forward to fighting alongside you."

Everyone gives their salutes as they disperse.

"I can't believe that goes very well." Armin says as all of them are now on the boat heading to Liberio. "To think the Yeagerists are willing to cooperate with us..."

"They believe in Eren and Commander Erwin's judgment." Reiner says. "That's why."

Eren is now inside the ship along with Mikasa, Erwin, Petra, Fay, and Colt. Eren asks, "So who is the leader of Marley right now?"

"With the Tybur Family gone, Marley didn't have a leader until Armin decides to take over the government alongside Jean, Annie, and the others." Colt says. "The military is still there, but most of them are Eldians from Paradis who volunteers to help and the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers that helped with the construction of Paradis."

"I see." Eren says, "So that's why we have an alliance with Marley despite the past of constant fighting."

Mikasa says, "Petra, you're going to meet the runt again, what are you feeling about that?"

"Isn't he your relative?" Petra asks with a shrug, "But I admit... my feelings for him never changed."

"I see..." Mikasa says.

Just then, Armin rushes into the ship and says, "We have some bad news... Liberio was attacked."

"What?" This causes every one of them to get shocked. Armin says, "I got a call from Commander Muller. The Porzellan nation is the one that attacked, and they are attacking the port."

"Porzellan nation? You mean the nation with the most population in the world?" Eren asks. "Didn't you guys form an alliance with them already?"

Reiner says, "It seems the Mid-East Nations manage to persuade them to break our alliance. If that's the case, it will be trouble for us since we can't really dock at the port..."

"If that's the case, we'll use our ODM gear to get there." Erwin says. "We'll stop at the bay and then we zip to the mainland and join in the fight."

Everyone nods as they are preparing their ODM gears.

At the same time, Gabi, Falco, and Levi meet up with Oyankopon near the fort, Gabi asks, "What was going on here?"

"The port is under attack by the Porzellan Nation." Oyankopon says. "We don't know why they're attacking, but the Marleyan Military is losing."

Just then, they hear another explosion as two Marleyan soldiers were flying past them. "Anyway, you're not safe here, you've better hide."

Levi grits his teeth and says, "Damn it... I hate being able to do nothing..."

Just then, they hear sounds of the ODM gear and Oyankopon says, "It seems the Paradis reinforcements are coming."

With Mikasa, Eren, Petra, Colt, Fay, and Erwin wearing cloaks, the other Yeagerists are also fighting against the Porzellan nation.

The soldier leading the Porzellan nation yells, "They're here! The devils of Paradis! Attack them!"

As they fire their machine guns, all of them manage to dodge the attack. At the same time, Armin and the others arrive and Armin says, "Oyankopon, Captain Levi."

"Gabi, Falco. You guys alright?" Pieck asks them.

"We're fine, what is going on here?" Falco asks.

"The Porzellan Nation breaks our alliance because of the Mid-East Nations. They have been wanting to get their revenge on the Rumbling." Armin says.

"Tch." Levi mutters. "So they just can't quit, huh..."

At the same time, Fay is hit by the machine gun as she was slammed to the wall beside Levi. "Fay!" Eren quickly rushes to her and asks, "Are you alright?"

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Fay says as she is slowly recovering, noticing the Titan steam, Gabi says, "Wait, the Titan steam? What's going on here?"

Reiner says, "It's a long story."

"You should take a rest, Fay." Just then, Eren stands up and takes off his cloak, showing a face of determination, and charges at the army. Gabi, Falco, Oyankopon, and Levi are shocked to see the face.

"Everyone! Try not to get close to the machine guns and wait for the chance to strike!" Eren yells.

"Yes, sir!" Then they also charge at the soldiers while trying to dodge the guns. Eren yells, "Mikasa! You're coming with me."

Mikasa takes off her cloak and nods, then the both of them are moving toward the battleship.

"Is that..." Falco gasps.

"Eren... Yeager... how is that possible?" Gabi asks.

"So he's still alive, huh?" Levi mutters.

Reiner and Pieck rush towards Fay and Pieck says, "The Cart Titan has a slow healing ability compared to the other titans, how did you manage to heal that fast?'

"I've been training with my brother of course." Fay says. "Anyway, I'm going to help them out."

As they continue to slash at the soldiers, A soldier tries to fire the machine gun at one of the Yeagerists, but the Yeagerist dodges the attack, but the bullet is heading straight to Levi and the others.

"Watch out!" Armin yells as Petra notices the bullet. She quickly jumps forward and takes the hit, which injures her knee. But at the same time, her cloak was also off.

"Petra, are you okay?" Jean asks, and Levi widens his eyes, not believing what he's hearing.

Petra says, "I'm fine, the bullet hit my leg. I can heal it with no problem. What about the Captain, is he safe?"

Jean says, "You took the bullet for him, of course, he's safe."

Levi tries to get close to Petra, but he also notices the Titan steam coming from her body. "Petra... is that you..."

Petra looks up to see Levi, she gives a wry smile, "Sorry, captain. We can talk later."

Just then, she stands back up and rushes forward.

"What are you doing? Just kill them already!" The Commander of the Porzellan Nation yells, but he notices a sword aiming at his neck. "I won't do that if I were you."

The commander turns around to see Erwin, he is shocked and asks, "How did you get here..."

"We have some help. It is either surrender or your life. What do you choose?" Erwin says.

The Commander grits his teeth and says, "We surrender."

After that, Colt also comes and he says, "The soldiers on the ship are tied up."

"Good." Erwin says. "Help me tie this one up."

At the same time, Eren and Mikasa are kneeling at some wounded Yeagerists, they have been healing the soldiers' injuries. "Try not to move often or the wound will open again."

"Yes, sir." The Yeagerist says.

Eren stands up and turns to Mikasa, "So that's all of the wounded soldiers?"

"We have a total of 12 casualties." Mikasa says. "None of the innocents are harmed."

"I see..." Eren sighs in relief. "What about Commander Erwin and Colt?"

"They manage to secure the ship." Fay says as she also arrives. "I'm glad we win this battle without the need of transforming."

Petra also stops in front of them and says, "Seems like it. And it is also thanks to Commander Erwin's strategy, we manage to get their attention by dodging the attack until he gets inside the ship with Colt and forces them to surrender."

At the same time, Armin and the others are now rushing toward them and Armin says, "You guys all right?"

Eren says, "We're fine. Although we have a number of 12 casualties. Mostly from the Marley military..."

"I see..." Connie sighs.

"Unbelievable... you're still alive?" They turn to see Levi, Gabi, Falco, and Oyankopon. Eren says, "It's been a while, Captain Levi."

"Is that what you could say after trying to kill all those people by using the Rumbling?" Levi says in a cold tone. "But it is nice to see you again. And how are you still alive, Petra?"

"I was revived from my death by Founder Ymir." Petra says. "It is not just me, there are other 6 of us who get revived."

At the same time, Erwin and Colt arrive as everyone does the salute. "Commander Erwin."

Erwin takes off his cloak and says, "The Porzellan Nation has surrendered, we'll leave the rest to the Marley Military."

"That's good news." Eren says. "But we still lose 12 people from the attack."

Levi can't believe what he's seeing, it is not only Petra but Erwin is also revived. Erwin turns to Levi and says, "It is nice to see you again, Levi."

"Erwin..." Levi can't help but burst into tears, "Even you got revived..."

"Falco, Gabi, are you alright?" Colt rushes towards them and asks, and Falco gasps, "That voice... Big brother, is that you?"

"Colt?" Gabi asks in shock, and he takes off his cloak and says, "Yeah. It is nice to see you two safe and sound."

"But... even you? Why? How?" Gabi can only mutter with shock.

Eren takes out a bottle and says, "Captain Levi. Armin told me about your situation, drink this, and you'll be able to walk again."

Levi stares at the bottle in Eren's hand and says, "And why should I believe you? How do I know you're not trying to poison me?"

Petra says, "Captain Levi, Eren was worried about your health. Just drink it. Eren recently just saved a lot of people in Paradis from food poisoning."

Levi sighs as he takes the bottle. "Fine."
