(McCoy's POV)

Here I am sitting in Nick's truck heading home for dinner. We have decided that Nick will bring me home, saying that he found me playing with his daughters. He had a nice truck—four doors with all the bells and whistles. Emily and Olive were in the back, and I was in the front seat with Nick. I barked at Nick and said, " Knock at the door and tell whoever answers the door that you found me, and it just so happens that the address on my collar is the same as the one you were going to go to have dinner at this evening.

Nick nodded his head and said Will Eliza answer the door at all? I looked at Nick with sorrowful eyes and said if Luke is not already at the house, then no, and if he is not, then she will be in her room. She never speaks. She is sad and lonely, and thinks that marrying Luke will help her,, but this new Eliza is quiet as a mouse that Luke likes, and he feels that he should marry her because he wants to help her. Nick pulled up to the driveway and stopped the car, and got out. He did not say anything about what I just said, but was thinking about it. While he was getting the girls out, I said to him be yourself and let me try to help. Eliza trusts my opinions, and I have been able to get her to understand some words in the past two years, and Nick has been one of them.

I ran away from Nick before he could answer and started to bark at the front door with Nick walking behind me with a girl in each arm. Eliza's mom came to the door and let me in, and said where have you been? I barked at her, wagged my tail,, and walked away and up the stairs to find Eliza. I heard Nick introduce himself and the girls to Eliza's mom and was welcomed inside.

I barked at Eliza's door to find her in there with Luke. They were busy watching a movie when I jumped on top of them and started to bark and run to the door and bark again. Eliza said I guess it is time to go downstairs? And got up and started to head downstairs. Luke was following behind. I ran down the stairs and found that Emily and Olive were playing with each other on the floor. I decided that if I wanted Eliza to notice them,, I needed to play with them. Eliza walked into the room, and her mom said Oh good, Eliza you are down. This is Nick Wilde and his daughter Emily and Olive. Eliza went to shake his hand, but when she looked at him, she stopped and backed away. I stopped playing with the twins and told Eliza, Nick! She looked at me and gave me a questioning look. So I said it again, Nick, Pack. I heard her whisper Pack? I wagged my tail at that, but I saw her eyes and went towards Nick again, shook his hand, and said my name is Eliza, and this is my fiancee Luke and my dog McCoy.

Nick smiled and said it is good to meet you. These are my daughters, Emily and Olive. Emily and Olive? Eliza questioned. Yes said Nick why do you ask? Eliza then said well, I had a dream that I had twin daughters, and their names were Emily and Olive, but that was only a dream.

Eliza smiled, walked away, walked towards Luke, and sat on the couch, waiting for dinner to be ready.

I saw Nick's eyes and how sad they became. I barked at Emily and Olive and said walk towards Eliza. I gave them a picture of who that was, and they did that. They both walked to her and wanted her attention like crazy. It was when I started to play with them both that she picked up Olive and looked at her, and said you have white hair. Do you want to hear a story? Eliza asked. Both Olive and Emily looked up to that, and Eliza started to tell them her story of her becoming a fox, but what she did not expect, and me as well, was that she began to nuzzle them both and begin to speak like a fox. She has not done that in over a year. Nick walked closer to her, whispered into her ears, and said, " Do you really think that was a dream? She looked into his eyes right then and said did I not tell you to stay in your universe? I barked right then, but that was enough for Eliza to notice what she just done and said I am sorry. I am not that hungry, and she put Olive down, walked upstairs,, and closed her bedroom door. I saw Luke's face, and he was about to go up the stairs to get Eliza again, but I ran to the stairs and stopped him. He was not going anywhere near my mom ever again, knows that Nick was back, and I was going to make sure of it.

The dinner went well even without Eliza. Luke ended up leaving because I kept growling at him, and he finally said ok and left. He gives up to easily. I barked and ran up the stairs to Eliza's room and got her back down the stairs before Nick left. Nick said it was good to meet Eliza, her mom,, and me. I walked outside with them all, and when Nick was putting the twins into the truck, I told him that Eliza would come over tomorrow because you would call her to tell her that I was overplaying with the twins. Nick smiled and said the sneaky fox. I smiled and said I am a dog, not a fox. Nick then said you never were a dog. You have always been a fox.

The next day I left after breakfast to Nicks. It was way past dinner when Nick called my house, got Eliza's mom, and told her that I was at his house and that maybe Eliza should to get me since I was now sound asleep with the twins. Eliza came to get me, and that was the routine for the past week until she asked Nick what is so special about you? McCoy only likes me. He does not play. He is always with me, but for you and your daughters, he has become their best friend overnight.

Nick walked closer to Eliza and said don't you remember Snow?

Eliza's eyes got so big, and said, Snow? Only in my dream, was I called Snow by my mate, and his name was…..

Nick Wilde said Nick, and right at the end of your dream, you had a set of twins, Emily and Olive. Eliza looked at Nick and yelled McCoy, it is time to go! I did not budge. McCoy come, she said. I looked at her and said nope, I am staying with dad tonight.

She said no, you will not! But she stopped when she realized that she was responding to me in fox language.

Don't you remember Snow? Said, Nick

McCoy is your son and my adopted son, and these two little girls are ours.

Eliza started to cry and said not this is not possible. It was all a dream, but she then looked at the twin's eyes, and for the first time, she said, they look like me, don't they?

If that was not a dream, then that means that you are….

Mom started to cry and said you are my mate. My mate, till the end of time. Nick smiled and said my mate, my love, till the end of time.

Mom then punched him and said I told you not to to get me.

Nick smiled and said you try raising two fox kits by yourself. Mom laughed and said let's go home?

Nick smiled and said only if you want to? You are about to get married to Luke. She stopped and said only because he was there when I needed him, but he was not what my heart needed. My heart and soul needs a sneaky red fox named Nick and a life in a universe where animals talk and walk like humans.

And just like that, Nick picked up Emily and Olive and said do you want to go home now? Eliza said yes, let us leave this world behind and just like that, Nick gave Emily to Mom, and I sat on mom's foot Nic.k using his spare hand, touched his phone and made a portal to Zootopia, and that is where we all walked to a life that we all missed even if we only just remembered it.
