A Brilliantly Composed and Masterful Work of Classical Music (Servant Profile Page):

Servant Caster

Class Skills:

Magic Resistance B

Although Shirou was a very skilled magus during his life and possesses unusual Projection magecraft, his affinity with "magecraft" is worse compared to the Heroic Spirits of ancient times who saw Magecraft and True Magic as commonplace. The level of his Magic Resistance is a result of this. Caster's level of Magic Resistance is still relatively strong, though.

At Rank C, spells with a chant below three verses will be cancelled. Even if targeted by greater magecraft and Greater Rituals, it would be difficult to affect Caster.

Sword Construction A++ & Weapon Construction C+

(See Noble Phantasm for details)

[]

Personal Skills:

Clairvoyance E

The visual ability, also called Hawkeye, that improves both static visual acuity and kinetic vision.

Mind's Eye (True) C

Capable of calm analysis of battle conditions even when in danger and deduce an appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. A danger-avoidance ability that calmly grasps of the enemy's strength as well as his own situation during predicament and deduces the available means of survival on that situation.

Although closely similar to the Skill "Instinct", this is not a result of talent, but an incredible amount of combat experience. A weapon wielded by none other than a mortal, gained through tenacious training.

Independent Action (Fake) A

Normally if a Servant loses his Master, he will disappear within hours if he cannot replenish the mana required to remain in this world.

Due to Caster's magecraft and his familiarity with the nature of his own magecraft, which separates him from The World, he is able to simulate the effect of the Independent Action skill, despite not having the actual itself. Because of his mana efficiency (maximization of mana usage and minimization of mana lossage) and as a result of being summoned into a Caster-class vessel, the Rank of his Independent Action (Fake) Personal Skill is at A.

The amount of time each Heroic Spirit has before disappearing varies, however, those with this skill possess the ability to act independently for a period even if magic energy supply from the Master is severed.

At A rank, even if Shirou loses his Master, he is able to stay materialized for a period of about a week. However, this is the ideal value achieved by conserving mana and avoiding battle and Noble Phantasm usage. Furthermore, even if Shirou's spiritual core sustained lethal damage, he would still be able to survive for a fairly long period of time.

Shirou's ability to survive is extremely great. Caster is able to switch Masters, and can continue to operate independently, even if his Master is taken out.

Magecraft C+ ~ A++

A magic that reproduces tools by his image, though only for several minutes. Its rank rapidly increases only when the projection subject is categorized as a "sword". Due the special trait of being able to "prepare counterfeits many times over", Shirou can destroy the projected Noble Phantasms for additional power and area of effect. By having them explode, the destructive power is momentarily raised beyond its normal limit.

He is capable of using orthodox Thaumaturgy, such as Reinforcement to temporarily increase the essence of the tool and Projection to grasp the structure of the substance and temporarily replicate it. During his life time, Shirou greatly improved his magecraft under Rin and El-Melloi II's tutelage.

His own understanding of his Reality Marble also far exceeds that of EMIYA's, who had discovered and honed his magecraft and Reality Marble, based on his own understanding. Before becoming a Heroic Spirit, Caster had mastered the usage of his Reality Marble, making the magecrafts of Reinforcement, Alteration, and Projection extremely simple and second-nature to him, akin to living and breathing.

The Projection sorcery he wields is quite special, as it is able to duplicate weapons, including all the components, though with minor degradations in quality (very minor in the case of swords, especially in swords Caster is extremely familiar with).

In addition, during duplication, he can not only even read the wielder's skills, which allows him to gain all kinds of Noble Phantasms and combat skills, but he can also reinforce and alter his swords to fill in their weak points and improve their quality, up until they reach the quality of the original.

Any sword he improves in this way becomes "re-recorded" in his Reality Marble as the sword he summons the next the next he calls for that particular sword, a sword not at all lacking in quality compared to the original.

When the target of projection falls under the category of "Sword", does the Rank rapidly jumps up to A++.

Noble Phantasms:

Unlimited Blade Works+: The Refined Infinite Recreation of Swords C ~ A++

(Type: Anti-Unit (Anti-World))

The Reality Marble that embodies and manifests Caster's internal world and imprints it upon the World as a bounded field for a short amount of time.

A Noble Phantasm that summons forth Caster's image of Salvation, An Endless Hill of Perfected Swords.

A steel manufacturing factory (blacksmith's forge) which contains all of the raw materials and sorcery needed for the formation of countless Swords and other famous weapons and defensive armaments. It records and analyzes all weapons and defensive armaments which are encountered by the user.

As opposed to EMIYA, who was a terrible magus during his lifetime and only slowly learned about his magecraft and himself over the course of thousands of years after death, this is a version of Emiya Shirou who learned much, much more about himself and his own specialized magecraft during the course of his own lifetime.

He's extremely familiar and skilled with his own magecraft and Reality Marble (Internal World), far more than any other Emiya Shirou, including Archer, who spent most of his centuries and millennia killing and saving people on Alaya's orders, but who only passively learned about and improved upon his mastery of his magecraft, but who never bothered to actively research or improve it, as Caster did (with Rin and El-Melloi II's assistance).

The number of unique weapons encountered and recorded by Caster exceeds numerous hundreds, most of which are Noble Phantasms, each possessing deadly powers. Their entire histories, compositions, and designs are all perfectly recorded, allowing for instant proficiency with the weapons by inheriting all combat skills and techniques utilized by their original owners.

The quality of projected weapons will always be slightly degraded, due to humans (even the completely sword-aligned Emiya Shirou) being unable to fully conceptualize the existence of an object through only one sense, and they will never equal or surpass the originals without a technique such as detonating them as Broken Phantasms.

... ... ...

However, perfect replication through touch and directly feeling the essence of the original sword allows Caster, because of his tri-aligned magecraft traits, to replicate a blade perfectly.

Without that alignment, such a feat would normally be impossible.

... ... ...

It is the one true specialization of magecraft, the result of "Sword" being Caster's Origin, Attribute, and Elemental Affinity, and the basis of Caster's projection, alteration, and reinforcement skills. It is the definite answer obtained by someone whose life was saved by a Sword, merged and lived with a Sword, and acted as Sword for his whole life.

Because of his triple-aligned magecraft traits, and with his own profound understanding of his magecraft and Reality Marble, Caster is able to summon, use, alter, and manipulate Unlimited Blade Works in ways that other versions of Emiya Shirou would never be able to, not without coming to their own profound realizations about their own nature.

(Compared to Archer's version, though the variety of blades is much lesser because of much of mess less experience, the overall quality of reproduction is somewhat higher and speed of blade reproduction is significantly higher.)

Caster's personality:

His personality is realistically heroic (largely thanks to Rin's influence). He's still addicted to helping people, but he's also found new meaning and purpose after having started a family and having had children with Rin.

Needless to say, he's been scolded by Rin more than a few times for neglecting their children to go off on his hero duties. Also needless to say, this eventually led to her breaking him out of some of his bad habits (and a few of his bones. Mostly just his bones, really).

Although, he still holds the ideal of being a hero and rescuing other very highly, he is more down-to-earth and realistic about his goals of saving people, largely thanks to Tohsaka Rin (and El-Melloi II)'s influence, and the events of his own Holy Grail War (particularly, his clash with Archer, and his realization of why he admired Kiritsugu's ideals in the first place). He has a special mild fondness for Grey, who resembles the Servant he summoned during the course of his own Holy Grail War.

Against the objections of Tohsaka Rin, Emiya Shirou submitted himself as an subject of magecraft research into Reality Marble, with the justification that understanding more about himself and his powers could lead to him being able to help more, and save those he wouldn't be able to save otherwise.

Thanks to the influence of Tohsaka Rin, El-Melloi II (with Flat Escardos as his back up), research into his Reality Marble and magecraft (directed by Flat, under the Supervision of El-Melloi II) was able to ethically and safely progress in a smooth and insightful manner, without any particular danger or restrictions being inflicted.

Even Zelritch had even shown up occasionally in passing when he had other business with the Clock Tower, making insightful comments which greatly helped accelerate the research, and which allowed the research progress more smoothly.

(Incidentally, the research on Reality Marbles even helped the magus of the Clock Tower get just a little closer the truth of the Root.)

He died around 55 and a half years old, fighting off multiple Dead Apostle Ancestors while wounded, to save some innocent civilians caught in the crossfires of the monsters' atrocities.

(Incidentally, fighting off a Dead Apostle or Dead Apostle Ancestor is a surprisingly common cause of death for all versions of Shirou, Emiya or otherwise).

It might be because he went down a more self-reflective and introspective route than the other Shirous, or it might be because he died as a middle-aged verging on elderly man, unlike the other versions of Emiya Shirou who all died young (including Archer and Assassin).

But, like Saber, who also died as an old man, he seems to like to think and ponder and reflect on the things that have happened more often than the other Emiya Shirous do, and enjoys giving long-winded and sometimes tangential lectures about things he considers interesting, especially to younger and less experienced people, similar to Saber who enjoys lecturing and guiding his younger self.

An old person's habit, maybe...

Trivia About Caster's Family:

...

Because of her (justified) paranoia about the Clock Tower and what they might do to their children, Rin decided to change their children's last from "Emiya-Tohsaka" to "Fujimaru", in honor of their old homeroom teacher, Fujimura Taiga.

Outside of the Clock Tower, he and Rin also assumed this new last name in casual everyday life and day-to-day activity with their child(ren).

...

Because of some strange circumstances, somehow or the other, his and Rin's child(ren) somehow ended up spacetime-leaping into an alternate reality where they were needed.

Those children would later go on to resolve various time paradoxes, find out the true reason for Mage Crests, fight an unreasonable Fate against a Grand Order of conspiracies, defeat various Demon Gods, Beasts of Humanity, and Alien Gods, and ridiculously overpowered astromancers and Grand Servants, and so on...

...But that's a story for another time...

If this was Fate/Grand Order:

Bond CE:

"Tohsaka Rin"

Rin, sitting on desk at school with dawn setting in the background, glancing at Shirou fondly with a loving smile, her cheek resting against her elevated legs.

Author's Notes:

The first character of the last name of the FGO Protagonist(s), Fuji (藤) is actually the same character as in Fujimura Taiga's last name, so it's actually not much of a stretch to make. I think it's a pretty natural connection, in fact.

Also, I suppose this means that the Fujimaru kids were half-raised in England, half-raised in Japan? The unique and unrivaled Island Nations of the The West and The East of The World.

Now, every time a Servant is being lewded by Ritsuka, imagine them lewding the Servant in an English dialect lmao.

Certainly adds an sophisticated English gentleman/noble lady flavor to the lewding.

(Even more so, since Rin is technically is a Noble-lady of Japan, lmao. And Shirou kind of counts as a Japanese Gentleman, what with the large estate he inherited from Kiritsugu and all, even if he doesn't technically have any sort of status or anything.)

...

A+ in Mana is kind of a high-rank, even for a Caster (it's Medea's rank, and Medea is very powerful Caster).

But keep in mind that's for efficiency instead of amount (like Medea), and that this version of Emiya Shirou received extensive training and magecraft tutelage (mostly from Rin, and some from El-Melloi II), and also has extensive insight and mastery of his Reality Marble, thanks to El-Melloi, Flat and other researchers' (but mostly Flat's) research into his Reality Marble and finding out the process of how it works.

And keep in mind that Reality Marbles are also a type of magecraft that is considered to be among "the peak of Magecraft", only possible through specialization, so it's natural that an Emiya Shiro who specialized himself as far as possible would be pretty powerful.

...

"Emiya-Tohsaka" is a natural extension, given that the Tohsaka line would be too proud to give up their names, but Shirou being old-fashioned, would try to insist that Rin take his name. So it's a kind of compromise between two stubborn people.

It's different from Saber's case, where he gladly accepted Artoria's last name, but wanted to also keep the "Emiya" name, as a fond remind of Kiritsugu and of the ideals he started from, before he shed them off to find his true ideals, his true heart.

So "Emiya-Pendragon" is more of a symbolic last name for Saber.

A reminder of the heroic ideals he accepted from Kiritsugu first, but also as a reminder of why he ultimately seeks and pursues those ideals (to find happiness, meaning, love), which ultimately cumulate in his finding of Artoria at the end of his long journey, at the end of his path to Paradise (Avalon).

It's a name (identity) which starts with Kiritsugu's ideals, which shapes and gives him form at the beginning, but ends with Artoria's love, who fills him with joy and meaning in the end.

The first and the last most important people to him.

So Saber's last name actually has a lot symbolism to it.

...Meanwhile, Caster's last name is just a compromise between two stubborn and bullheaded people, bound by (magical/worldly) traditions, lol.
