Chapter 18

When Dawn walks towards her house, she is surprised to see Johanna being tied up with grunts wearing dark robes. Dawn widens her eyes in shock and yells, "Mom!"

"Look who it is! If it isn't the daughter of Professor Berlitz?" A grunt mocks. "Someone is going back to her mommy I see..."

"What are you doing to my mother? Leave her alone!" Dawn yells with anger, and she sees Johanna continues to struggle.

Just then, two of the grunts are going to attack her, but Dawn quickly jumps out of the way. "Piplup! Bubble Beam!"

Piplup fires the attack at the grunts, however, the leading grunt says, "Your mistake."

Just then, he takes out a knife and stabs Johanna's back, much to their horror.

"LET... MY... MOTHER... GO!" Dawn is furious to see what's going on and she grabs a sewing needle on the table, stabbing at the grunt while getting her mother out of the way.

"Roserade!" Dawn sends out her new partner and yells, "Poison Jab!"

All the other grunts are hit by the attack as they fall to the ground, with the poison, all of the grunts aren't able to move as Dawn quickly sends out Mamoswine.

"Mamoswine, bring my mother to Sandgem Town!" Dawn says.

After Mamoswine leaves, the Team Terror grunts are slowly standing up and one says, "That hurt you bitch..."

"That hurt? You stab my mother and you're complaining?" Dawn yells in anger. "Roserade, use Acid!"

Team Terror also sends out their Pokemon, mostly Weavile, Honchkrow, and Mismagius. Dawn manages to find a medical needle and absorbs the acid on the ground.

"Now prepare to die!" Dawn yells in anger as she starts to inject the acid into the Team Terror grunt's bodies while Piplup and Roserade are battling the Pokemon.

"Thank you for your help, Professor Rowan." Berlitz says while the three of them are outside of the lab. Lucas says, "I guess it is almost lunchtime, I wonder what kind of dishes Mom is going to make for us."

"Always thinking about eating, Lucas." Tox says.

Just then, they see a Mamoswine rushing towards them, and Johanna is on the back. "That's Dawn's Mamoswine..." Tox says.

"Mom is on its back..." Lucas says as the three of them rush towards her, only to find that she was stabbed in the back. Berlitz shakes her and says, "Johana! What's going on?"

Tox says, "Wait, Dad! Mom is injured! Let me heal her first."

He takes out the first aid kit and tries to carefully take off the knife. "Good thing the cut didn't get to her heart..."

"But why is Mom being stabbed?" Lucas then realizes something, "That means Dawn is dealing with the attackers right now!"

Berlitz says, "Tox, we'll leave Johanna to you. We need to assist Dawn."

"Okay." Tox says as the two of them rush back to the house. But just as they open the door, they are shocked to see what's going on.

Dawn is standing in the living room panting, while on the ground, dead bodies of Team Terror grunts and their Pokemon scattered around. Noticing the needle in her hand, Berlitz says, "Dawn... what have you done?"

Dawn flinches as she turns around, seeing the horrified faces of Lucas and her father, she kneels on the ground and says, "I... I killed them...They're dead... because of me..."

Dawn starts to form tears in her eyes as Berlitz quickly hugs his daughter, Dawn cries into his arms while Lucas looks around.

"Did Dawn really do all of this? I know they're Team Terror... but still..." Lucas mutters.

After calming down a little, Dawn says, "How is Mom? Is she fine?"

"Your Mamoswine managed to bring her to us, Tox is staying at Sandgem Town healing her. Dawn, why are Team Terror people here in our house?" Berlitz asks.

"I don't know... I was just back from searching for Ash... and then I saw them stabbing Mom in front of me..." Dawn says. "I become a murderer..."

"You did this because you're angry, you have no control over yourself." Berlitz says. "You're still my daughter no matter what."

Dawn hugs her father and Lucas picks up the needle. "Inside the needle, it is Roserade's acid... and all of those people are killed just by injecting the acid in their bodies...which corrodes them..."

Berlitz says, "Usually needles won't be a killing weapon unless there is something deadly poured into it... but I never thought..."

At the same time, they hear a door knock as Lucas opens the door. Ash, Paul, and Golly are the ones there and Ash says, "Excuse me, but is Dawn here?"

"Um... Dawn is-" Before he can say anything, they notice the dead bodies on the ground and Golly says, "What the hell just happened here? Are those... Team Terror grunts?"

Ash quickly rushes towards the body and Lucas says, "Hey, wait."

"Let them in." Dawn says, "That's Ash."

"So you're Ash Ketchum? The person who was said to be dead?" Lucas asks with surprise.

"Yeah, that's me..." Ash says, "Dawn... did you kill them?"

Dawn says, "Yeah... I killed them... I was too angry because they stabbed my mom..."

"Paul, bring those bodies back to our plane. Golly help me clean up the mess." Ash says.

"Of course..." After they are doing so, Berlitz asks, "Shouldn't we try to call Officer Jenny?"

Ash says, "Do you want your daughter to be sent to prison? Mr. Berlitz? We have to keep this a secret from everyone..."

"And we're definitely not going to trust Officer Jenny and the PLA. If they are compatible, all of those evil groups wouldn't be able to do such a thing in the first place." Golly says.

"I'm sorry, Dad." Dawn says. "I'm not the good girl that you used to know. Although this is the first time I've done this in an actual attempt, I really think these guys should stay dead..."

"Dawn? What are you talking about?" Berlitz asks horrified.

Lucas grabs Ash's collar and asks, "Hey you, what did you do to my sister?"

"I've only trained her as a Champion would do." Ash says. "We live in a cruel world, it is either get killed or kill. I also teach her some combat skills and weapon use."

"You bastard..." Before Lucas can punch him, Dawn says, "Stop it, Lucas! I was the one asking him to do this!"

"Dawn, what are you talking about?" Lucas asks.

"I forced Ash to reveal himself to me, I forced him to teach me everything. Because I want to help him. Because of Team Rocket, Ash is not the same person as before. He becomes a murderer for everyone's sake, and I want to share the burden as he and his group..."

"Dawn..." Berlitz sighs. "Ash Ketchum, right? I heard a lot about you from Johanna and Professor Rowan, and of course, Dawn also."

"It is nice to meet you. However, I want to ask some questions. Why is Team Terror attacking your house? What do you have that they want?" Ash asks.

After all of them are sitting at the table, Professor Berlitz puts a feather on the table. "If I have to guess, they are targetting this."

"The Lunar Wing..." Dawn gasps. "But this... I brought this back to Alamos Town... so this Lunar Wing is the real deal after all?"

"After you send this to us, Professor Rowan and I have been inspecting it. This Lunar Wing is different from the others, it has the power to summon Cresselia or Darkrai, depending on how you use it."

"Wait, you mean it can summon Cresselia or Darkrai?" Lucas asks. "Was that the reason why Team Terror wants to get their hands on it?"

Ash says, "Hold on a second, I will need to confirm it."

He takes out two Pokeballs and reveals Darkrai and Cresselia. Lucas and Professor Berlitz are shocked to see the real deal, and Ash asks, "Cresselia, Darkrai. I want to ask about this Lunar Feather. This is different from the ones you usually give out, right?"

Cresselia stares at the feather and says, "This Lunar Wing has both of our energies inside, and I can sense it trying to call us."

"Me too." Darkrai says. "Where did you get this?"

"In Alamos Town, isn't that where you're from?" Ash asks.

"I see... I might have accidentally left my power there..." Darkrai says.

"Hold on, is Ash seriously talking to Mythical Pokemon? He can understand it?" Lucas asks.

"He's an Aura user." Dawn says while turning to Golly. "I forgot to ask, but you are..."

"Oops, I forgot I've never met you before. My name is Golly Ketchum, I'm Ash Ketchum's blood-related sibling."

"I see...it is nice to meet you." Dawn says.

At the same time, Tox manages to bring Johanna back to the house and Tox says, "Dad! Lucas! Help me bring Mom to the bed. She should take some rest for days before moving again."

"I see. I'm glad we have a doctor in the house." Berlitz says.

Tox also notices Ash talking to Cresselia and Darkrai, as he asks, "You must be Ash Ketchum, right? I heard a lot from my sister."

Ash nods and says, "It is nice to know you." He turns to Professor Berlitz. "If it is possible, we will like to take this Lunar Wing back to our hideout."

"Of course. It will be better in the hands of others." Berlitz says.

"Good, now we should leave. Dawn, it is your choice to come with us or not." Ash says.

"Of course, I'm going to come with you. I am a member of Team Alpha after all." Dawn says.

"Team Alpha?" Tox asks.

"It seems that our sister joined some sort of organization that killed grunts from the 18 criminal organizations. ANd because of the influence, Dawn killed Team Terror grunts all by herself in the house..."

"Woah, seriously?" Tox asks in shock. "If that's the case, you don't mind if I also come with you, right?"

Dawn asks, "Tox? you want to come as well?"

"Just to make sure that my sister is safe." Tox says.

"And if Tox is going in, I'll also join in as well." Lucas says.

"Welcome to the team." Ash says with a sigh. "And I hope that all of you are prepared."

"I trust you to take care of those three. But make sure not to let them regret their decisions." Berlitz says.

"Of course, we won't." Golly says.

After getting onto the plane, Tox says, "So let me get this straight, you fuel this plane by using dead bodies of the grunts? How was that even possible?"

"I don't know. It is something of a secret from the Professors in Rota." Ash says. "Tox, you specialize in Poison Type Pokemon, right? I was wondering if you want to become a Poison Type Gym Leader for us?"

"If the gym has a hospital, then I'm fine by it." Tox says.

"That can be arranged." Ash says with a smile.

Lucas turns to Paul and says, "So you're Paul, right? I heard a lot about you from Barry."

"That guy, huh..." Paul says.

"He said that you're a strong trainer, and he wanted to have a rematch with you." Lucas says.

"I see, you can tell him that I always accept his rematch." Paul says as they all head to Sevestar Island.

And here is a new chapter, and as you can see, this is the chapter where Dawn finally kills members of the evil organization after joining Team Alpha. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the Unova Region.
