Chapter 8- the Deal
"Captain Hiccup, sir?" Erik the 3rd in command asked the frozen boy.
"Let them in to the port. Call me when they arrived" Hiccup replied and took off to his hut. The others looked puzzled but didn't question the decision of their Chief because in the past their Chief always made the right decision.
"Erik, take Marco and the 3rd rider squad and prepare the harbour for our new guests" Valka started to order the troops around. All went after their tasks.
"Chief Stoick Island ahead!" One of the Vikings on the flagship where Stoick was.
Stoick nodded and mentioned to the Viking who was steering the ship to steer at the Island.
The Berkians where sailing with multiple longships and their Flagship to sell captured Dragons to a buyer in the North. They where sailing about 1 week now and needed rest and something to eat.
Stoick saw a port at the Island he believed was not inhabited by anyone or anything. But now they could ask the population there to help them.
As they came closer they saw that the Village had spread across the whole Island. And their Harbour was massive. More than double the number of ships Berk had and mostly double the size to. The Berkian ships where lead by men which whore a bright orange shirt and they waved the Ships into the harbour. After the Flagship docked it was secured with multiple ropes which where as wide as a Viking torso. This means they could take some hits. A plank was reaches to the ship and then secured to the railing of the ship and then the Vikings started to dismount the Ship. They where lead along the pier off the harbour and to the Village.
"Captain they're here" Marco the Weapons officer of the SHD forces told Hiccup. Hiccup took his helmet and saddled Toothless. Marco saddled his Nadder and they both flew towards the spot where the Berkians where brought.
In the Crowd of Berkians many whispered among them selves and waited patiently for the chief of this Village.
"Welcome to Stone Henge" A voice came from above and all looked up to see a Dragon black as the night. Next to the black Dragon flew a Nadder and on top of them where to figures which looked like Humans.
The two Dragons landed in front of the Berkians which readied themselves for a fight. "Put the Weapons down please. We won't harm you" Hiccup exclaimed.
"Yeah right says the guy standing next to a Nightfury" Snotlout yelled and Hiccup immediately recognized that voice and sighed annoyed.
"You came to my Village shouldn't i draw my weapon?" Hiccup asked and the Vikings realized that they where actually on foreign soil threatening a foreign chief. The Berkians lowered their weapons but they still where fully concentrated at the Dragon.
"I'm am the Chief of this Village. May i ask what you're doing here?" Hiccup asked making the Vikings snap out of their stare contest with the Dragon. "We want shelter and food. We're almost out of supplies" Stoick told the young chief.
"And aren't you a little bit to young to be a chief?" Spitelout asked who was standing besides Stoick.
"Why? Can't a young boy as me be a chief?" Hiccup askes more threatening as wanted. Spitelout cringed and made a sorrow look and held his hands up in a giving up manner.
"Though so" Hiccup said and turned towards Marco.
"Marco lead our guests to the guest district and let Erik close the Airspace above that particular area" Hiccup ordered his weapons officer and flew away.
Marco saddled his Nadder and gestured to the Vikings to follow him.
As they walked they saw big houses bigger than everything what berk had. Humans and Dragons living together as if it was the most normal thing on the planed.
This disgusted Stoick since it was against the Viking way.
Marco stopped in front of the entrance of the guest district. He turned around and faced the Vikings who where waiting for him to say something.
"Now take your weapons and throw them into the wooden container on your right" as soon as Marco said that a Wooden container was dropped by four big Dragons and their riders.
"What? Do you want us to believe that we actually will sleep without weapons when there are Dragons everywhere" Sbotlout suddenly yelled and after him the Whole croud started shouting until something exploded in front of the Vikings making everyone silent.
"Either you hand out your Weapons or you piss off my Island" a furious Hiccup yelled at them. "I saw what you had on your ships and i have to say that i would rather kill you all but i'm no monster so that's why i'll free the Dragons from your ships and take you prisoner until we disarmed you and then we'll send you back to berk" He said threateningly. "Prisoner?!" Stoick yelled back. "Who do you think you are boy?" Stoick asked him clenching his Axe ready to throw it. But out of no where there where Hordes of Dragons in the air. Stoick had no other option than to surrender.
"Okey fine. We'll hand over our weapons" Stoick yelled but now with a defeated tone in his voice.
The Vikings where disarmed and than all brought in Groups into different areas of the Village.
Valka bursted into Hiccups room. "Hiccup have you lost your mind? Why do we have Berkians as prisoners?" Valka asked demandingly and Hiccup just raised his hand making Valka calm down a bit.
"I have a plan but i need your Help" Hiccup said.
"What plan?" Valka replied
"I'll make a deal with them" Hiccup started to explain.
"Come on what kind of deal" Valla demanded the Answer.
"I'll show them that there is actually a way to make peace with Dragons and i'll show them how to ride them" Hiccup said with a stupid grin on his face.
"And what if they refuse?" Valka asked looking unimpressed with the plan.
"Then i'll let them free unarmed, with no Dragons or supply's" Hiccup replied.
Valka made a questioning look which faded after a few moments. "This actually might work... if Berkians aren't as stubbern as they are now" She said making Hiccups goal more difficult to achieve.
"I know about the stubbornness of the Berkians. I was one to... remember?" He replied to her and waved with his hands around.
"Fine Hiccup. I'll help you but be aware that these guys do everything possible to avoid that and you maybe get injured or in the worst case end dead" Valka informed Hiccup a last time and he nodded understanding what he was doing.
"aight let's do this" Hiccup said and made his way to Toothless.
"Chief!" Hiccup yelled. Stoick turned around and threw him a deadly glare.
"What is it?" Stoick hissed.
"I have a Deal for you" Hiccup informed him.
"Deal?" Stoick now looked more puzzled than angry.
"If you let me show you the good side of befriending Dragons and making piece with them and letting me teach some of you to ride them i will let you free and give you any supplies you need for your way home" Hiccup told Stoick who now had a even angrier face than before.
"Never!" Stoick yelled. "I will never let you brainwash my people"
"Okey then. In two weeks y'all are gone from my Island but i won't give you any Supplies, maps or your Weapons back and if you attack one of my people i'll let you all be killed by Dragons" Hiccup said and with that he disappeared into the air with Toothless.
