Colin escorted the family to the throne room to meet with Queen Zelda. Midna looked at her son Atra,

"Make sure you be respectful and say your majesty when in Zelda's presence."

Atra nodded his head, "Of course, I will mom."

Once they walked in Colin left and all four of them bowed as Zelda stood,

"It's so good to see all of you," Zelda said. "I'm so glad you could make it."

Midna stood and hugged her, "Of course Zelda, thank you for inviting us."

"So you managed to snag my cousin that I didn't know that I had." Link said, "But as long as you are happy."

"Yes, I am very happy with him." Zelda replied, "So this is your new son."

Link and Midna nodded their heads, "Yes, why don't he introduce himself."

"Hello, Your Majesty, I am Prince Atra," Atra said. "It's so nice to meet you."

"Wow, he is so polite."

Link nodded his head, "Yeah, we tried to teach him manners except sometimes he gets into arguments with his sister."

"When he was smaller that is?" Midna finished.

"Twila it is so nice to see you again."

Twila nodded her head, "You too, Queen Zelda."

"Ocil," Zelda called.

Ocil walked in the door, "Yes, your majesty."

"Would you please escort Link and his family to the new quarters built for when they visited from the Twilight Realm?"

Ocil nodded his head, "Of course, your majesty."

Link, Midna, Twila, and Atra followed Ocil through the passages that led to a new building that wasn't there when Link was living at the castle when he was a Royal Guard Trainee.

"Hey, Captain Ocil, when did this building get built?" Link asked.

"Well, Her Majesty Queen Zelda insisted on this building for you when you came to visit Hyrule Castle." Ocil replied, "But I think that you won't visit here as often as she thinks."

"Well, Midna and I have our kingdom to run," Link said. "We have our responsibilities."

"That's understandable," Ocil said. "Well, we are here in your quarters."

The four walked in and were shocked at what they saw.

"Wow this place looks amazing," Atra said as he saw his bed.

"Queen Zelda sure went all out didn't she." Link said, "Don't you think, Midna?"

Midna nodded her head, "Yeah, she sure did."

Link looked behind him and saw Zelda but he didn't warn Midna.

"I'm glad you liked it," Zelda said from behind Midna.

Midna jumped. "Zelda you scared me, Link did you know that she was behind me."

Link nodded his head, "Yes, I did because I thought it would be funny."

Midna play punched him in the arm. "Was it really funny?"

Link shook his head, "Not as funny as I thought it would be."

"Well, it's getting late," Midna said, "So I think that we should get some sleep."

Twila and Atra nodded and went straight to bed. Link and Midna stayed with Zelda for a bit longer.

"So, Zelda," Link said. "What is my cousin like?"

"He wasn't much of a talker at first just like you." Zelda replied, "But after a while, he would open up to me and then we became friends then you know what happened next."

Midna nodded her head, "He proposed to you."

"Yes, he is a romantic person," Zelda said after the long silence. "Well, you two need your sleep for tomorrow."

Link and Midna nodded their heads.

"Good night Zelda," Midna said.

Zelda nodded as the door shut. Midna looked at Link and saw him pacing the floor.

"What's wrong?" Midna asked, "And don't tell me nothing."

"I'm just nervous about meeting my cousin for the first time." Link replied, "I mean will he recognize me as his cousin with all of the Twili Markings on me."

Midna shrugged her shoulders, "I'm not sure if he would but I am pretty sure that Zelda told him that you are The King of the Twilight Realm."

"You're right, Zelda probably had to run it through him to invite us to the wedding."

And with that, they fell asleep.

The next morning

Link woke up and noticed that Midna was still asleep next to him. He got up without waking Midna up and went for a stroll in the Castle Gardens when a guard walked up to them.

"Link is that you?" The voice said.

Link turned and noticed that it was Ashei.

"Yes, Captain Ashei it's me." Link replied, "It has been a very long time hasn't it."

Ashei nodded her head, "Yes when I heard you disappeared I was shocked for I was pretty much the last person to see you."

"I need to tell you something."

Ashei looked at him. "What is it?"

Link took a deep breath. "I am now the King of the Twilight Realm."

"Really," Ashei said shocked. "They invaded our realm."

"I know but do you remember me asking you what was going through the girl's mind when she shattered the mirror."

Ashei nodded her head, "Yes, I do."

"Well, you see, I got to marry her."

"That's great news."

Link nodded, "Speaking of which I need to head back to get the kids ready for the wedding ceremony."

"You've got kids too." Ashei said shocked, "How old are you now?"

"I'm 56 years old."

Ashei looked at him confused, "It's only been 26 years since you've gone missing."

"Time flows differently in the Twilight Realm."

"You still look like you did when you joined my squadron."

"Well, the reason for that," Link said, "Is that Midna and I are the Eternal Rulers of the Twilight Realm."

"Oh,"

"Now I need to get back," Link said, "Are you going to be at the wedding ceremony?"

Ashei nodded her head, "Yes, I will be there."

"Okay, is it alright if I introduce you to Midna and our two children?"

"Yeah, that would be great."

With that Link snapped his fingers and teleported. Ashei was shocked at how Link just disappeared.

Now that is something that you don't see every day. Ashei that as she made her way to where the wedding will take place.

Once Link walked into the room Midna was there with both kids up and ready.

"Daddy where were you?" Atra asked.

"I was taking a stroll in the garden and then I ran into one of my old friends."

Midna looked at him, "Which one?"

"Ashei."

"Are you talking about the one that told us about the snowpeak ruins?" Midna asked.

Link nodded his head, "Yes that's her."

There was a knock at the door and their escorts were here to take them to their destination. Colin was in the front and Ocil was in the rear. Midna was on the left of the kids as Link was on the right. Link put an invisible shield around them. Colin stopped when he saw it. He turned and looked at Link.

"Link do you sense danger?" Colin asked.

Link shook his head. "No, but it's just a safety precaution."

Ocil looked to Link, "You must be very skilled in magic to be able to generate forcefields around you."

Twila spoke up, "My father is one of the strongest magic wielders in the entire Twilight Realm."

Once they got to the venue Link and his family sat in their seats. As soon as the crowd saw them they murmured amongst themselves. Link overheard what they said.

"Why are the people of the Twilight Realm here?" Someone said.

"I overheard someone say that the Hero of Twilight is now the King of the Twilight Realm."

Link looked at the podium and saw someone who looked a little bit like himself.

That must be my cousin. Link thought as the music started. He looked down the aisle and saw Zelda in her wedding dress. Once she got to the podium the two grabbed hands and the priest stepped up to them.

"Friends, we are gathered here today to be witnesses before the Goddess Hylia as we join Laluh and Princess Zelda in holy matrimony," the priest said. "Laluh do you swear before the goddess Hylia to love Princess Zelda as your wife through sickness and in health, in good times and bad til' death do you part."

"I do," Laluh replied.

The priest looked to Zelda, "Princess Zelda, do you swear before the Goddess Hylia to love Laluh as your husband through sickness and in health, in good times and bad til' death do you part."

Zelda nodded, "I do."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."

As they kissed the crowd applauded and many people walked up to the couple to congratulate them. Link and his family were one of the last ones up there.

"Congratulations Zelda," Midna said, "You look very beautiful."

"Thank you Midna," Zelda replied, "Link this is your cousin Laluh."

Laluh reached for Link's hand, "It's so nice to finally meet you."

"You too," Link said.

"Zelda tells me that you are the King of the Twilight Realm."

Link nodded his head. 'Yeah, I am."

"Do you like it there?" Laluh asked.

"Yes, I love it there," Link replied, "It's so peaceful there."

"Do you ever regret leaving your home?"

Link shook his head, "No, because I am with the woman that I love and children together."

"If given the chance would you leave the twilight realm to live back here with your wife and family?"

"No, I am the king of the realm and I will not abandon my people."

Laluh nodded and walked away. Midna looked at Link and walked up to him.

"What was that about?" Midna asked.

"Laluh was wondering if I like the twilight realm." Link replied, "He also asked me if I would ever leave the Twilight Realm to return here to Hyrule and Live."

"So you don't think he likes the idea of a cousin from the Twilight Realm."

Link shook his head, "There is something off with him, but I can't pinpoint what exactly."

Ashei walked up to them. "So Link this is the Twili."

Link turned and saw Ashei, "Yes, Captain this is my wife Midna."

Midna held out her hand and they shook. "It's nice to finally meet you."

Ashei looked at her. "Do you understand that I know you accompanied Link to save Hyrule?"

Midna looked at Link and he nodded. "Yes, but I wasn't in the form that you see now."

"I know you were cursed by Ganondorf." Ashei said, "Link told me about that when he asked me what was going through your mind when you shattered the Mirror of Twilight."

Midna looked down, "I really didn't want to destroy the mirror, but it was the only option for both of our realms to be safe."

"Speaking of which, Twila and Atra you could come out of the shadows now." Link said, "Ashei would not hurt you."

The two came out of the shadows and stepped in front of Link and Midna.

"Ashei these are our children," Link said, "Come on tell her your names."

Twila walked up first, "I am Princess Twila the firstborn."

"And I am Prince Atra."

"It's so nice to meet you two," Ashei said. "At one time your father was a member of my squadron"

Twila and Atra looked at her shocked, "Really."

Ashei nodded, "Yes, but for the record, I was a higher rank than he was."

Link looked behind him and saw Shad. "Shad, how are you doing?"

"I'm doing great ever since you helped me prove that the land in the sky was true."

"That's great, you don't think that I noticed the way you are looking at Ashei."

Shad's mouth dropped, "Shhh, she'll hear you."

Link talked quieter, "You like her don't you."

Shad nodded his head, "Yeah, but I don't have the courage to tell her."

Link laughed, "Believe me I've been there."

"Really," Shad asked.

"Yeah, I didn't have the courage to tell Midna that I loved her before she shattered the Mirror of Twilight."

"But, you eventually found the courage to tell her once you found a way to the Twilight Realm."

Ashei looked at Link and noticed him talking to Shad. She just stared when Midna looked to see what she was looking at and she knew what Ashei was thinking.

"You like Shad don't you?" Midna asked.

Ashei's mouth dropped, "What no why would I?"

"You can't hide it from me, I can tell by the way you look at him."

Ashei blushed, "Does it really show?"

Midna nodded her head and Twila nodded too.

"Believe me my mother can tell about these things." Twila said, "Because I fell in love with one of our royal guards, and my mother knew I was in love by my facial expressions."

"Why don't you tell him?" Midna asked.

Ashei shook her head, "No, I don't know how he would react."

"Life is short, you should enjoy the time with friends and family as much as you can."

"You're right," Ashei said as she walked to Shad. Link walked up to Midna and they watched.

"Hey, Ashei there is something that I want to tell you," Shad said.

"I need to tell you something too."

"I want to tell you that I..."

Ashei leaned in and kissed Shad. They stayed like that for a while.

Link smiled, "I guess she felt the same way."

"Yeah, is that what you were talking to Shad about."

Link nodded, "Yes, he said he didn't have the courage to ask and I gave him a reason to finally ask her."

"I did the same thing with Ashei."

Link, Midna, Twila, and Atra teleported to the Mirror of Twilight. They walked through the mirror and went back to the Twilight Realm.
