I do not own Shaman King.
This is only my second one shot. It's going to be bad too.
I forgot to say that Mask was inspired by the Korean song Dong Gh Luh Nee by Lee Soo Young. This was inspired by Mask. Heh.
-Why?-
It's a bright morning. I wake up to your knock and you inform me that breakfast is done. I change to my usual clothes and walk down to eat. You were already there with a hopeful smile. I approve of the food and we eat in silence. After breakfast I get up from my seat and start to walk up but not before hearing you say the words.
"I love you Anna."
You had said those words a lot since my eighteenth birthday. Why? Why do you keep on repeating it? More importantly, why do you love me? I know you don't mean it. How can anyone love me? The cold Itako no Anna. The cruel demon. I walk on as if I didn't hear you say it. For the rest of the day, I look back on our life. We've changed. A lot. I've been trying to be less strict, less cruel. But have you noticed it? I wonder why you didn't cancel our engagement. You didn't need me anymore after the Shaman Fight. I wonder why you love me. Maybe you say that you love me just to get me on a better mood. Yeah, that has to be it.
It's 6:30:20 and you're finally back.
"You're late," I say with a cold tone. I didn't mean it but it just comes out that way. You smile at me.
"Sorry. I've been thinking and I just lost track of time." I raise my eyebrows. Since when did you think? Did you think of how I'm so cruel? Did you think of how you really don't love me? Instead of asking you these questions, I find myself turning my back at you and stating that I want dinner at 7. You sigh and start to prepare dinner.
At 7, I come to the kitchen and we eat, once again, in silence. After dinner, you stop me from going anywhere.
"Wait Anna," you say, "I want to tell you something." You quickly clear the table and we sit.
"What is it?"
"Let's go somewhere. Please Anna? PLEASE?!?!?!" you ask on your knees. I learn that I can't say no and nod. On your face is a childish smile showing eagerness. I can't help but smile but I make sure you didn't see it.
You bring me to where Amidamaru's grave is. You seem to have told all the ghosts, including Amidamaru, to go away for the night.
"Why are we here?" I find myself asking you. You look back and smile as you point up. I look at where you're pointing and I see stars. Many stars. I gasp at their beauty.
"They're beautiful." I hear myself whispering. Then I feel warm arms encircling me around my waist. I look back and I see you looking at me with a smile.
"Not as beautiful as you, Anna. Nothing is more beautiful than the woman I love." My eyes are starting to get wet.
"You're very persuasive, Yoh," I say as I pull back, "But it's not enough to persuade me. You're lying." You look confused.
"I'm not lying. I really do love you." I feel a few tears falling.
"Why? Tell me why. Why do you love me?"
"There isn't an answer to everything Anna. I love you because you are you. Because you are Kyouyama Anna, my Shaman Queen. There is no reason for love," you say with tender eyes. Tears are violently falling. You come and hug me and I cling to you, afraid that you're going to tell me that you don't love me. Your head is resting on my shoulder as you whisper it again.
"I love you Anna and nothing can change it."
I feel it. Your love in your words. I believe. I have no doubts.
"I love you too Yoh."
-End-
Ugh. Sappy. At first I wrote this in third person point of view but I just changed it and rewrote everything in Anna's POV. I like Anna's POV but I think I'm making her OOC. I hope you enjoyed this. At least it's longer than Mask, right? Heh. Review? And if you haven't read Mask, read and review?
