"We always have music after dinner. Mary religiously practises on the pianoforte. You might appreciate some entertainment."
"I see. Does Miss Bennet play or sing?"
"No, sir. But I can sing a little."

Mary played as well as she could, and Elizabeth screeched and sounded out of tune.
