A.N: Hello, everyone! Here is the fifth chapter of this commission fic! I hope you enjoy it!

Chapter Five: A Captain and her Dessert

"Zzz... Nice smell... Must go... there..."

At Chiaki's words, Sonia sniffed around, noticing a familiar smell of food. She wasn't exactly sure what it was, but it must have been some grilled meat and maybe rice, too. Whatever it was, it seemed the sleeping gamer's curiosity was aroused.

"Alright, Captain," the Ultimate Princess said with a smile. I would be amazed if this turned out to be the smell of ice cream, but whatever floats your boat, Chiaki!

With that, the two classmates began heading toward where the smell came from, which appeared to be the school's cafeteria. It surprised the blonde somewhat, considering the ungodly hour. One face flashed in her mind, but she wasn't sure even they would want to eat so late at night.

Walking peacefully in the halls, the two Ultimates didn't meet anyone other than the security guards under Sakakura's orders. Their flashlights lit the halls as the sound of their footsteps echoed, but Sonia kept a cool head and successfully avoided them all.

"Zzz... Hungry... Need food... to fight... the bad guys... A-Aah!"

The Ultimate Gamer trailed off as she tripped on her own feet and began to head right for the floor, face first. Sonia's eyes widened as she reflexively reached out and caught her classmate's pajama shirt.

"Please remain careful, Captain," the blonde advised, taking a breath of relief as her sleepwalking friend regained her balance. "You must not get hurt before we face our next enemies, alright?"

The short-haired girl gave a slow nod. Sonia smiled, and they resumed walking after a gentle push. It took them a few more minutes to reach the cafeteria, where the smell of meat was more pungent than anywhere else. In addition, a familiar voice was heard.

"And two more meat skewers for you, coming right up!"

Oh, my... It seems someone was up for a late-night snack, as well... Even if this is closer to dinner than mere snacking... Sonia thought, grabbing her Captain's hand and walking inside the cafeteria. It smells tasty!

The princess noticed Chiaki taking in the food's pleasant aroma. Her mouth was also subconsciously beginning to water. It made Sonia chuckle amusingly.

"Let's go say hello to our friends, okay?" she suggested, noticing Teruteru preparing food at the speed of light. He was right in his element, spurred on by a lovely view of Akane's breasts on almost full display. "It would seem like the temptation to eat prevented Akane from sleeping... I suppose there are more night owls in our class than I first thought!"

Chiaki ignored the comment and detached her hand from Sonia's, instead opting to stumble over to the Ultimate Cook. Sonia followed after her more carefreely, reassured by the presence of their friends. It appeared the Ultimate Gymnast was too focused on her food to notice anything else, though.

Prudence might still be required...

"Oh, Chiaki and Sonia! Two absolutely stunning ladies gracing me with their presence at such a late hour? This is my lucky day!" Teruteru greeted, his nose beginning to bleed. "May I ask what you're doing there so late, ladies? Came to eat my meat, if you catch my drift?"

Sonia frowned. I am confident he means something perverted by this, but my lack of language knowledge prevents me from knowing what! All boys are the same! "We were... simply intrigued by the smell," she explained, stopping herself from sighing. "I am curious to know what Akane is doing here!"

Her sleeping classmate nodded, seconding her question. It didn't seem like the chef had noticed she was asleep, his eyes all too focused on something else entirely.

"Oh, Akane was just feeling hungry and kindly asked me if I could make something for her!" he said, tossing a couple of steaks the gymnast's way. "How could I refuse?! It is my duty to please my friends' taste buds!"

"Zzz... You did it... to see... Akane's boobs... didn't you...?"

Akane's breasts are indeed showing even more than usual... Sonia thought, sweatdropping at Chiaki's comment. It seemed that, even in slumber, the gamer was still very aware of her surroundings. But Akane doesn't seem to care that Teruteru is ogling her like this...

Indeed, the gymnast appeared to be in her own little world, eating the food as soon as it got on her table. Ironically, Sonia wondered if the sleeping Chiaki was not more interactive than Akane, who was very much awake!

"Oh, hey, Chiaki and Sonia!" Akane finally said as her eyes widened. She smiled at her classmates, swallowing the last of her meat skewer. "Whatcha doing here, girls? Here for a midnight snack like me? I swear, Teruteru might be a weirdo, but his food is amazing!"

"H-Hey, I heard that!" the chef exclaimed from his kitchen, making the princess sweatdrop.

It is difficult not to agree with Akane... For his behavior, Teruteru would have been sentenced to be eaten by the lions many times back in Novoselic... Sonia sighed. And it looks like Akane hasn't noticed that Chiaki is fast asleep, either...

"I can make you a late-night snack if you want, girls!" the Ultimate Cook said, walking back inside the cafeteria with yet another food tray for the gymnast. "I'm probably gonna be stuck here all night, anyway, so I might as well! Not that I mind! Cooking for Akane is always... a nice experience."

Though her eyes were closed, Chiaki glared disapprovingly at her classmate. It's true that the nosebleed he got as he talked didn't help his case.

I was not hungry at all, but as they say, curiosity killed the dog, so I might want to try one of those meat skewers... "I shall have a meat skewer if you don't-"

"Zzz... Ice cream...!" The three Ultimates were startled as their Class Rep's surprisingly loud voice cut the Ultimate Princess. "I want ice cream... need fuel... to defeat evil...!"

I suppose my order will have to wait... Sonia thought in amusement. "Yes, as you've heard, Chiaki greatly desires a sugary treat! You shall get on with making delectable ice cream for her on the spot, Hanamura, yes!"

"I... like ice cream... so yummy..."

Teruteru scratched the back of his head. "Not that I mind making ice cream for our sexy Class Rep, but..." He received a dark glare from the long-haired blonde for that comment. "I prefer to save my desserts for last, you see? Just like in everything, the best should always be saved for last to enjoy it fully."

A bit of drool escaped his mouth as he said that, which frankly disgusted Sonia. She didn't want to imagine what kind of dirty thoughts were going through the short boy's mind. In any case, his direct approach made her redder from anger than embarrassment.

"Would you mind enjoying a bowl of rice with some of my meat before I make you lap at my ice cream, Chiaki?" Teruteru continued.

"Need ice cream... now..."

Sonia giggled. "Now, now, Captain, let us be reasonable, alright?" she said, gently patting her friend's head. "I understand your admiration for ice cream, but perhaps it is best to enjoy a real meal to satiate your hunger in full?"

"Correct! Just one small meat skewer with rice!" the cook told the sleeping Ultimate Gamer. "Akane is the only one who can eat something so big, anyway. I don't know what kind of training she and Nekomaru partake in, but it sure made her a big eater!"

"Hey!"

Sonia facepalmed as an argument began between the chef and his customer. She let them bicker for a bit before coughing in her fist.

"S-Sorry!" Teruteru said, sensing the princess's eyes on him. "I-I'll go make Chiaki her food and then bake her an ice cream sundae she won't forget!"

Chiaki nodded unconvincingly, having been persuaded to agree by Sonia's soft petting and gentle pleading. "Zzz... okay... need plate... please..."

"Coming right up!" Teruteru said, rushing back into his kitchen.

He sure is a weird person. Sonia thought, glad this little interaction was over. She looked as Chiaki sat at the table beside Akane, rubbing her belly. But it will have to do...

"Food... then ice cream... can't defeat evil... on an empty stomach..."

The three girls waited for a few minutes for Teruteru to be done cooking. They could hear him talk to himself, but since it was primarily inappropriate comments, they all elected not to listen. It was probably for the best.

He returned with Chiaki's food, plus another serving for the Ultimate Gymnast, who appeared to be far from full. Sonia sat next to her 'comrade' for the night, letting her enjoy the food.

"Didn't expect y'all to be up for a midnight snack!" Akane said passionately, biting into her meat. "Especially you, Class Rep!" She smiled at Chiaki and rattled her head in a friendly way. "Damn, you're gulping it down like a champ! Never thought I'd see you eat like this, Chiaki!"

It's true that I have never seen Chiaki eat like this while awake... Does sleepwalking turn her into a whole new person? Maybe a alter ego of sorts? Nonetheless, the blonde couldn't stop herself from grinning from ear to ear. She's still so adorable and precious, though!

"Well, anyway, what's up, girls?" Akane asked.

"Zzz... We are... space soldiers..." the gamer began, swallowing the remainder of her rice bowl. "We... lost our captain... to enemy forces... but..." She clenched her tiny fists. "We'll avenge him... and save the universe...!"

The gymnast raised an eyebrow at this but couldn't mutter more than an "Uh..." of misunderstanding. She nodded, and Sonia could read the surprise all across her face. Not that she was stunned. Still, it appeared Akane had not yet connected the dots.

Discreetly, she leaned into her ear. "Hey, Sonia... what's our Class Rep talking about? This sounds like some of her video game stuff!"

"To ensure... that justice is served... I will never... back down...! Whatever it takes... evil will... be vanquished...! No one... will have to... suffer anymore...!"

Sonia's eyes widened as Chiaki stood up from her chair and climbed onto the table, pointing her finger forward in the middle of her little speech. And just like nothing had happened, she sat right back down after she was done, causing the princess to sigh in relief. She didn't need Chiaki to fall flat on her face.

"Oh, well..." How should I explain this situation...? "As surprising as it may sound, Chiaki is currently sleepwalking. She is in the middle of a dream about her favorite video game."

"W-Wait, for real?!" Akane looked at the short-haired girl with disbelief and growing interest. "Well, you sure sound like a hero, Chiaki! Good luck with all that stuff because it sounds complicated as hell to me!" She scratched the back of her head. "Say, have you tried waking her up, Sonia?"

The Ultimate Princess nodded. "Yes, I have, but I'm afraid my efforts proved fruitless," she replied. "It appears her slumber is quite profound."

Akane smiled. "Not if I have something to say about it!" She cracked her knuckles, making Sonia's eyes widen in fear. "Please stand up, Class Rep! I'm gonna get you back from dreamland real quick!"

However, the video game aficionado made no move to stand. The gymnast stared at her for a few seconds, waiting for a reaction that never came.

"Chiaki?" Sonia tried, her voice gentle. "Do you think you could stand up? It appears our friend Akane has an idea in mind."

"You got that right!" Reluctantly, the Ultimate Gamer stood up. She stood right in front of the brown-haired girl, her eyes still shut. Akane wasted no time putting her strong hands on her shoulders and shaking her.

She shook her left and right, up and down the way one would usually shake a soda can. The Class Representative groaned as her head moved around in a rapid motion. Sonia observed the scene carefully, not really loving the idea of waking the short-haired girl by force.

Seeing this wasn't doing much, Akane sighed. She easily lifted the gamer up and threw her in the air like a sack of potatoes. When she witnessed it, Sonia almost had a heart attack, only letting out a sigh of relief when the gymnast caught her in her arms.

"So, you awake yet, Class Rep?" Akane asked, putting Chiaki back on her two feet. However... the only answer she got from the gamer was a snore. Her eyelids didn't even open a millimeter.

"Zzz... oh no... it's an... earthquaky... Run... comrade Sonia... It's dangerous..."

Suddenly, Chiaki grabbed the Ultimate Princess's hand and tried to run away, although it was closer to slowly stumbling her way out than anything else. Before she could move very far, Akane grabbed her hand, stopping her in place.

It appears being shaken around like this made Chiaki believe there was an earthquake. The blonde realized, not extremely surprised. Given Akane's strength, she could understand the confusion. "What earthquake, Captain?" Sonia asked, entertaining her friend's fantasy. "There is no such thing happening."

"Zzz... Uh...? No... earthquaky...?"

"No, Captain. It is perfectly safe."

Visibly confused, the sleepwalking girl nonetheless nodded. With a yawn, her slumber deepened once more as if nothing had happened. Akane looked impressed. Sonia figured anyone else would have woken up in a panic had they been shaken around like this.

She knew she would have.

"Chiaki must have a second Ultimate talent for sleepwalking," she said amusingly. But she looks so adorable in her own little world... So precious... A smile subconsciously appeared on her lips. "Well, Captain, let us wait for your ice cream!"

Chiaki nodded. "Zzz... Ice cream... Such deliciousness..."

And just like that, all thoughts of danger were erased from the gamer girl's mind as the sleepyhead refocused on her precious sugary treat instead.

The next few minutes were spent watching Chiaki lap at her ice cream. She licked her lips, muttering how this energy would help her defeat villains. The two other girls smiled at her, enjoying the sweet scene.

"Well, lovely ladies, I'll have to leave you and return to my bedroom, I'm afraid," Teruteru said, having closed his kitchen for the night. "I have... business I need to attend to in my bed. I'm glad I got to enjoy the benefits of cooking for you, if you catch my drift, especially a sleepwalker like our sexy Class Rep."

Under the disapproving glare of the Ultimate Princess, the cook left the cafeteria, his nose bleeding once more. Neither Sonia nor Akane wanted to imagine what he planned to do once he was back in his room. Something pervy, most likely.

"Didn't you want to recruit Teruteru, Captain?" Sonia asked Chiaki, who was finishing her ice cream.

The gamer firmly shook her head. "Zzz... Don't need... perverts..."

I have to agree with you...

"But... I want to... recruit you... into our crew... Akane..."

"M-Me...?" the gymnast, taken aback by the sudden request. "I... I don't know what I could do for you, Chiaki... I'm not even sure I fully understand what's going on, y'know? If it isn't about muscles... I'm not sure how I could be helpful."

Sonia giggled. "I advise just going along with it for the moment," she whispered in the brown-haired's ear. "It'll make her happy."

Visibly still unsure, Akane gave a slight nod. "A-Alright, then..." Chiaki extended her hand, which the muscular girl shook. "Happy to join you, Captain Chiaki!"

"Thank you... Your help... will be instrumental..." Exchanging a smile, the two classmates watched as their representative shakily stood up and took the lead. "Let us... resume our journey... comrades..."

Sonia and Akane nodded and followed after her. They left the cafeteria and found themselves in the hallways. They waited in a corner to ensure the coast was clear of any security agents before moving again.

The blonde yawned, her eyelids feeling heavy at this late hour. She even fell asleep for a split moment and woke up to realize Chiaki and Akane had already walked ahead. Quickly, she caught up to them at the entrance to the dorm building.

"P-Please wait!" she said, keeping her voice as low as possible. The two other girls stopped and turned around. "My apologies. I am unfortunately struggling to keep myself awake, it seems."

The Ultimate Gymnast smirked. "Want me to carry ya, Sonia?"

"N-No, there will be no need for that," Sonia clarified, feeling a blush rising to her cheeks. "I shall keep going on my own two feet, don't worry." The call of slumber is echoing more and more loudly in my ears... I am quite jealous of Chiaki, who is deep asleep and can still walk around... She sighed. The same cannot be said for me, I'm afraid...

"Alright, then. As long as you keep up the pace!"

Seeing Sonia following them again, Chiaki resumed her march inside the dormitories, putting her Nintendo Switch in front of her eyes, even though it was still out of battery. The Ultimate Princess hoped this meant their journey would soon come to an end.

"Zzz... Need bedtime... Let us put... our quest on hold... for the night..."

Those words reached Sonia's ears like a miracle. Subconsciously, a smile stretched to her ears as the thoughts of finally going to sleep in her comfortable bed invaded her. She figured the Chiaki in the dream would wake once the console had been recharged.

"Alright, Captain!" she said enthusiastically. "Indeed, it would be best for us to resume our quest tomorrow after getting some rest-"

*BONK*

Both Sonia and Akane were startled as the sleepwalker bumped into a door. They sweatdropped, noticing a bump on Chiaki's forehead. Hopefully, the sound had not alerted any security.

"Please be careful, Captain," Sonia advised gently, taking Chiaki's hand. "Let us leave now, alright?" The Princess looked up at the doorplate and smiled. Let's hope we didn't wake Peko up... Well, to bed we go-

The three girls took a step toward their respective dorm rooms. However, before they could take another one, the sound of a door creaking open echoed in the hallway.

"Isn't it a little late to knock on people's doors...?"

To be continued...
