Chapter 10: Downtime
A few days have passed since the battle between Mewtwo and the duo was finished with Mewtwo being captured. N grabbed the ball to take it to the lab in Sylph Co. main building.
Kenda, Lyra, and Leaf are spending time in the hot tub within her mansion. Kendra enjoys the warm waters washing away the aches in her muscles. "I need this after what happened," Kendra is in deep reflection for Leaf and Lyra to come in wearing towels over their bodies

"That makes sense, my Lucario can go Mega when she is throws down. She is beyond tired and needs to rest quite a bit," Leaf said.

"How did this happen?" Lyra asked.
"Well, there was a big explosion in the Sevii Islands and Lance along with his Dragonite were found on one of the islands. Badly injured from some big fight, Cipher is all over this," Leaf said.
"Seriously, these Cipher goons don't fuck around. Taking out a former Pokemon Champion and enslaving Mewtwo. Seems like they are capable of anything at this point," Lyra said.
"We can't lose hope. We now know what their ultimate goal is and we need to seek out the Oracle Stones," Kendra said.
"Gee we are going on a fetch quest. You know where they are?" Lyra asked.
"I have a general idea of where they are. One is in Kanto and one is in Johto. The other ones are based in Alola, Unova, and Orre," Kendra remembers the compass showing off the world and showing five locations on the map where all the five Oracle Stones are located.
"Oh boy, this is going to be a huge world trip huh?" Leaf asked.
"Come on Leaf, we can explore the world while kicking Cipher in the ass," Lyra said as Leaf nods her head.
"Right, we are going to gather more supplies and other things to go on the road after we are done with Kanto," Leaf said.
"Yes mom," Lyra joked as Kendra giggled at this. She feels happy to have female friends who respect and understand her.
Elsewhere within Swan's lab in the Sylph Co. Building, Mike is talking with N and Swan. "So, you were in contact with each other for a while now?" he asked.
"You are not the only one who is fighting against Cipher. I and Wes work with a team to be fighting Cipher for a few years now," N said as Mike's interest peaked when he heard Wes's name.
"Wes, you were working with him. Seriously?" he asked.
"Yes after he destroyed the Orre branch of Cipher. He went off into the world gaining allies to fight back against Cipher. After my self-reflection in Unova, I joined him to seek my redemption to fight an evil who wants to turn Pokemon into soulless killing machines which I find truly disgusting. Something my foster father would be envious of," N said.
"What happened to Wes when he left, he left without a trace?" Michael asked.
"Well after leaving Orre, he lost a close friend Rui a psychic young lady who joined his fight against Cipher. Sadly, one of the top Cipher researchers calling themselves Doctor Death capture her and used her in an experiment in his Ultimate Human Project. She didn't make it," N said as Michael felt sympathy.
"That is rough," Michael said.
"Yes, but we had to go to the Island Region of Galar to stop him and get involved with some crazy stuff with the Pokemon League there. But that story is for another time," N said.
"Seems pretty nuts, never heard about it on the news," Mike said.
"Of course, it was covered up by the international Pokemon League. Chairman Rose got caught up in Cipher's scheme who was the chairman of the Pokemon League in Galar. Huge mess," N said.
"Sounds nuts," Mike said.
"Indeed, but we did gain some allies in some weird places," N said as he looks over to the lift to see three unusual faces coming into the room.
"Yo N, are you done yet? It was so boring waiting outside," a talking Meowth said as Mike looks on with surprise to see Jessie, James, and Meowth who Leaf has fought so many years ago.
"Oh shit, Scizor. Kick their asses," Mike summons his Scizor to begin powering up his claws for the trio to panicky.
"Hey, we are not part of Team Rocket anymore," James said as Mike is confused by this.
"Seriously?" Mike asked to call back his Scizor for the trio to relax a bit.
"Gee, you went a bit too gun-ho kid," Jesse said.
"Don't talk when you were bad guys in the past who almost killed my friend Leaf," Mike said showing them his Burst Heart ready for them to do anything stupid.
"It's true, they have been working with our little team for a while now. They were a big help in Galar," N said ass Michael looks at them to be quite sketchy at this.
"Really?" Mike asked as the trio felt quite bothered by this.
"Gee, we are on the up and up," James said.
"Yeah we been pulling our weight for a while," Meowth said.
"We were aiding in defeating Doctor Death in the Galar Region," Jesse said.
"Why did they join your team?" Mike asked.
"Because we have certain skill sets," Meowth said for the trio felt proud of themselves.
"Well, when we were putting up calls to get people on our team. They were the only ones desperate enough to join us," N said as Jesse, James, and Meowth lost their footing and fell face-first into the floor.
"Okay, you got us there but we have proven our worth," James said.
"Well, that is true. They helped out in a pinch in Galar against the Pokemon League there who were corrupted by Cipher's influence," N said as Jessie hands Professor Swan a few Poke balls.
"These are from Wes," she said.
"Excellent; always does great work," Swan said as he places the balls into the purifying machine preparing to be cleansed of their corruption.
Elsewhere Lovrina and Maddy are talking about the current leader of the Aether Foundation Lusamina. "Hello there Miss Lovrina and Maddy, you wanted to speak with me?" she asked.
"Yes Miss Lusamina, I hope you are doing well lately," Lovrina said as Lusamina recently got out of her coma due to Cipher's medical aid which allowed her to wake up and resume her control over her company.
"I am doing well thanks to your technology. I still feel a bit weak though," Lusamina said.
"Good, we need to talk. Things are getting heated with Wes and his crew of misfits of former criminals along with the new kids on the blocks. Michael and Kendra along with the current Pokemon Champion Leaf and her friend Lyra," Maddy said.
"Getting pretty rough out there. My daughter become a part of those band of thugs and rejected me," Lusamina is still angry at her daughter for abandoning her like that disowning her due to her current deals with Cipher.
"Well, that doesn't matter. Once the Grandmaster becomes the lord of time. You will regain your family back in the new world, a nice happy family," Lovrina said as Cipher gave Lusamina an offer she can't refuse.
The Grandmaster of Cipher wants a partnership with the Aether Foundation aiding their technology and research with Lusamina helping out to gain a better life in the new timeline.
"Of course, I lost everything and I got nothing else to lose," Lusamina said as her weak smile turns into a devilish grin. "Yes, everything will be okay and I will finally be happy in the new world," she thought trying to justify her harsh logic.

"Our group's goal is to free the Pokemon from Cipher's hands and set them free into the wild where they belong or if they want they aid us in our fight against them," N said as Mewtwo is bothered by this for he knew pain and suffering under humans. But this human and the others were different, only wanting to help Pokemon.
"No strings attached?" he asked.
"Nope but if you want. You can help us out, you are very strong and that will be helpful to put down Cipher for good. Besides as long as Cipher exists, you will be in danger of being controlled again," N said as Mewtwo ponders over this.
"I need to think about this," Mewtwo said as N nods his head.
"I will be here when you need to talk," N said with his empathy bothering Mewtwo again.
"Right," Mewtwo teleports away with James and Jessie comes behind him to just see what happened.
"Is that a good idea N?" James asked.
"You just let a powerful Pokemon our old boss made a getaway," Jessie said not liking N's choice.
"Well, Mewtwo needs to choose for himself what he wants," N said as he looks at his smartphone to see Wes and Lillie are coming to Kanto Region pretty soon.

"You got us now and we are going to get new allies from what N told me on the phone," Wes said.
