Drowning In Tears

All my life I have wanted nothing more than to love you.
To hold you in my arms when you cried.
I wanted to be the one who comforted you in your time of need.
I wanted to be the one to catch your silent tears.
But No…the world thinks otherwise.
I have tried many times to tell you how I felt.
But you always turned me away.
That is why I sit here tonight drowning in tears.
For the one I love I can never possess.
I draw a dagger from my pocket.
I hold it to my face.
Oh, how the blade glistened in the moonlight.
Yes…I say. I need this release.
As I draw a deep, jagged line across my wrist, I think back to the
year that has passed.
I found love, I lost love.
I guess I really never found it at all.
For the one I desired was always out of reach.
That's when I found hate. I loved hate.
I loved to cut myself endless times just to feel alive.
That's what brings me to now…
As the blood begins to flow so do the tears.
I wish the one I love a happy life.
I wish for him to be strong, for I am not.
I am a coward…I couldn't even face love in the eyes.
The last thing I remember running through my head is…
I love you my dragon…and that's when I stopped breathing.
