Two days later.
After spending the next day close to each other, talking with their kids on the phone promising that they will be coming over soon without giving away what really happened to prevent Liam to have nightmares. Santana, Heather and Naya tried their best to distract Brittany from everything that happened but also silently agreed that if she would ask something regarding police work, that they would try their best to answer and ease her mind.
Santana sighs tiredly walking out of Brittany's bedroom in just a bathrobe as the doorbell rings and walks down the hall to look through the peephole, her eyes widen immediately stepping back to rip the door open and reaches out to pull the woman waiting outside in. ''What the fuck are you doing here?''
''Hello to you too Satan.'' Mercedes mutters in amusement as she watches her friend standing in front of her in a bathrobe, she reaches out stopping her before she can close the door and opens it wider to allow her lawyer to walk in. ''I promised you to visit you as soon as hell is over.''
''Cedes!'' She laughs stumbling back as two bodies tackle her in a hug the second she hears Naya and Heather yell her name and hugs them tightly. ''Now that is a welcome I needed.''
''Oh shut up, I didn't expect your sassy ass to stand in front of the door.'' Santana grumbles with a soft chuckle, she turns to Jack and holds out her hand for him to shake. ''Hey Jack.''
''Hey Santana.'' Jack greets with a grin as he shakes her hand. ''Sorry I would have called to warn you, but Mercedes made me promise to not do it because she wanted to surprise you.''
''And thank god you listened.'' Mercedes breaths out laughing. ''I will never forget her face.''
''Screw you wheezy.'' Santana mutters with an eye roll, she steps closer as Heather and Naya steps back and hugs her tightly. ''I definitely missed your sassy ass.''
''I missed you too, where is your girl?''
''Still asleep.'' Santana replies with a soft sigh. ''The past few nights were filled with close to no rest so she needs it.''
''Understandable, but we have news that might make her sleep better.'' Mercedes breaths out. ''Any chance she can wake up?''
Santana nods her head and sighs. ''Yeah I will go and wake her up after getting dressed.'' She turns to Heather and smiles slightly. ''Can you turn on the coffee machine? I think B needs one.''
She thanks her as she just nods her head and turns on her heels to walk back into the bedroom, she looks over at the bed smiling lovingly as she sees her girlfriend still fast asleep spread out like a starfish and quickly reaches into Brittany's closet to get dressed.
After slipping one of her girlfriends shirt over her head, rolling her eyes as she notices that it fits her like a dress and shakes her head sliding into a pair of shorts grinning as it reaches her knees and chuckles. ''God talk about ridiculously tall.''
''Talk about mini.'' Brittany chuckles tiredly as Santana jumps and locks eyes with her a tired grin playing on her lips. ''Can this be a part of your wardrobe? It's cute.''
''I feel like I am drowning in your clothes.'' Santana breaths out with a soft laugh as she walks over to the bed, she leans down to kiss her softly and smiles. ''And I think this doesn't fit the dress code.''
''Well not at work.'' Brittany muses. ''But it can be a rule at one of our places.'' She adds chuckling.
Santana just laughs and shakes her head. ''You are crazy.'' She yelps as Brittany pulls her down and pecks her lip, shaking her head as she tries to cover the both of them with the comforter. ''We have two visitors who will love to have you join us for a conversation, are you awake enough?''
''Who?''
''Cedes and Jack.'' Santana shrugs her shoulders as Brittany's eyebrows raise in surprise and leans up. ''I have no idea what they want to talk about either, they just asked me to wake you.''
She slides out of bed as Brittany nods her head and holds out her hand, she shakes her head as she murmurs that she has to change and kisses her cheek. ''No need.'' She whispers reasuringly as she leads her out of the room and into the kitchen, she let's go of her hand smiling as she immediately walks over to Heather and Naya after shyly greeting the two strangers and locks eyes with Cedes.
''I think I know what you are thinking.'' She breaths out noticing the glint in her eyes. ''Just shut up.''
Mercedes laughs evilly and smirks. ''I don't know what you are talking about Satan.'' She breaths out innocently. ''I just noticed that you take facefu..''
Brittany laughs quickly stretching her arm to catch the muffin Santana just threw at Mercedes and shakes her head hearing Mercedes's squeak right after. ''No throwing food love.'' She scolds with a chuckle as she takes a bite, she turns to Mercedes and smirks. ''And no pointing out the obvious, that is my job.''
Mercedes just laughs and shakes her head. ''Oh I like you.'' She steps closer not noticing Santana, Heather and Naya exchange relieved looks the second Brittany munches on the muffin and hugs the tall woman. ''I don't hug woman that manage to make Snixx happy, nice to meet you Brittany.'' She tells her as she feels her tense.
''Nice to meet you too.'' Brittany murmurs still munching on the blueberry muffin, she pulls out of the hug and reaches around her to shake Jack's hand. ''And you are Jack I think.''
''I am.'' Jack confirms with a chuckle as he shakes her hand. ''Nice to meet you Brittany.''
''Not that I don't like this surprise visit, but why are you here?'' Brittany asks softly as she grabs another muffin slowly realizing just how hungry she is, she sits down as soon a Heather pushed her down beside Santana and pouts as she takes the muffin out of her hand. ''Hey!''
''I am glad that you finally eat something.'' Heather tells her with a chuckle, she reaches into the refrigerator and grabs the smoothie she made for the both of them. ''Drink this first before eating a second one though.''
Naya chuckles hearing Brittany grumble as she takes a sip of the smoothie and shakes her head. ''Stop whining like a child B, you would curse us out the second we allow you to eat another muffin before you ate something healthy.''
''Is it a blueberry shake?'' Mercedes asks curiously as she notices the violet color.
''Blueberry, peach and apple with a bit of oatmeal.'' Heather informs her. ''She didn't eat the past two days so instead of just loading up on sugar, she definitely needs this smoothie.''
''Good now that I received four scolding looks because I lacked on feeding myself.'' Brittany breaths out after taking a sip. ''What brings the both of you here?'' She asks softly as she cuddles into Santana's side, feeling Heather and Naya sit down on her other side.
''Well we decided to come over with good news.'' Mercedes informs her with a grin. ''And to prepare the both of you for two kids sprinting into the house in about an hour.''
Jack smiles reasuringly as he sees Brittany's eyes widen and shakes his head. ''It's over Brittany, he is being transferred to Rikers Island as we speak.'' He informs her. ''His trial will be in two days but until then and even after he will be put under maximum protection and he has absolutely no chance to get parole, he has a no visitor rule for the first six months and even if he is allowed to have a visitor they will never be alone.''
''How?''
''How what?'' Jack asks curiously as he sees the confusion in her eyes.
''How come he receives this sentence now but not the day I called the cops after Nay and Heath convinced me to do so? He sat in jail for two days back then and just received the restraining order.'' Brittany asks softly feeling Heather and Naya's intertwined hands on her leg and Santana gently running her fingers over the small of her back.
''Well one he abused the restraining order that is one of the reasons they arrested him for.'' Jack explains. ''Two he tried to break and enter a house owned by two celebrities heavily armed and with the intent to do harm.'' He adds. ''And three I think the police noticed shit got real the second I walked in, no normal case would have me walking into the building demanding maximum security immediately.''
''Jack is known around the celebrity world and he only works for people who definitely can pay him for his work Brittany.'' Mercedes explains. ''Everyone knows him as the best celebrity lawyer, the second he walks in everyone knows it's pretty fucking serious.''
''I can tell you all about what will happen next but you don't have to do anything Brittany.'' Jack reassures with a grin. ''The case is over and he will have no chance trying to get back to you again, every step he takes from now on will be documented, every visitor has to go through a check up and every letter he sends will be checked too.''
He nods his head to Naya and forces a smile. ''Naya contacted me a day ago voicing her concern that his parents might try to hurt you too by pulling you in front of court to fight you for your son's custody.''
Santana immediately tightens her hold on Brittany as she feels her tense and locks eyes with Jack, Jack shakes his head as he sees the worry in all of their eyes and smiles. ''I took a look into the system and at Liam's birth certificate, did you know that he never signed the paternity rights?''
''No?'' Brittany breaths out frowning.
Jack smiles pulling one of the files out of his bag and slides it over to her so she can read it. ''You are the only one with parental rights Brittany.'' He informs her as she reads it. ''He has no say in anything considering Liam, his parents will also have no rights to pull you in front of court seeing he never signed this file.''
''If they do try.'' He continues as Brittany just looks up in shock. ''It will immediately land on my desk and I will be speaking for you with Naya's help, you don't have to see any of them ever again.''
''So to sum it up.'' Brittany breaths out relief slowly filling her voice. ''Bastard will be jailed and rotten in jail for all I care.'' She breaths out. ''And my baby boy will never have to face any of them either?''
''That sounds about right.'' Jack confirms. ''You have three known names supporting you.'' He glances at Mercedes and chuckles. ''Well four so if they do try some shit, it will immediately backfire on them.'' He nods his head to Santana and chuckles. ''I think they won't the second they hear that Snixx's agency has a partner contract with me though, everyone will know that if it's needed that Santana has a whole group of lawyers on speed dial.''
''I thought the both of you didn't know each other.'' Heather breaths out in confusion.
''That's correct.'' Santana murmurs keeping her arm wrapped around Brittany's waist. ''I contacted Jack two days ago asking to partner up, it's always good to have a legal team backing up my agency and the one I had was pretty unknown so I decided to up it and we just made if official this morning.''
Brittany bites her lip realizing just why Santana decided to do that and locks eyes with Jack. ''I can't thank you enough for this Jack.'' She breaths out her voice cracking. ''I don't even know how to pay you back.''
''That's already taken care of Cuz.'' Heather whispers as she soothingly runs her hand up her arm noticing Santana and Naya exchange a glance. ''All you have to do right now is lighten up your mood and enjoy life.''
''What do yo..'' Brittany cuts herself as soon as she turned to look at Heather and sighs as she sees Naya's sheepish grin. ''Nay!''
Naya laughs and quickly shakes her head. ''Oh fuck no don't scold me now, I just made sure your girl didn't carry the whole cost of this shit.''
''Babe..''
Santana groans as Brittany turns to her after shooting Naya a glare and sighs. ''Thanks a lot Nay.'' She locks eyes with her girlfriend as Naya just giggles and shakes her head as she hears her stand up and ask Mercedes and Jack to join them in the living room. ''I won't change my mind.'' She breaths out as soon as she hears the door click shut.
''How much?''
''I am not telling you, I don't want you to pay me back Britt-Britt.''
''Santana..''
''Brittany.'' Santana just breaths out, she turns her body so she is completely facing her and cups her cheek. ''Babe please don't worry about anything but returning back to the happiness you felt before shit went down, you are signed up to the agency which means that the legal team will jump in the second I ask them to.''
She shakes her head as Brittany opens her mouth and leans up to kiss her forehead. ''I just wanted to take one part of your worries and I am happy to do this for you, well Nay and I are both happy to do it and you know that Heath jumped on board almost immediately too.''
''We just want to see you happy Britt and we are all just glad that it's over.'' She locks eyes with her still seeing the fight in her blue orbs and bites her lip deciding to take a different path. ''Besides you somehow still paid for it.'' She adds with a shrug, she chuckles as Brittany just raises an eyebrow and tilts her head. ''The past four months of shooting, exactly how much did you help my agency?''
She hums as Brittany just frowns and smiles slightly. ''You and Nick are the biggest reason my agency is running like it does now babe, we always were placed underneath Smythe's agency but as of last week we share second place with him and are about to knock him down his throne.''
''I still feel bad for making you and Nay pay.'' Brittany whispers with a frown.
''Don't feel bad, seeing you happy again is more than enough.'' Santana whispers as she pulls her close, she pecks her lips as she just leans down to hug her and gently runs her hand up her back. ''I love you Brittany and I am just glad to know that he is jailed and nothing will happen to you and Li.''
''I love you too.'' Brittany whispers softly as she hugs her tightly. ''And I am sorry for trying to block you out the past few days.''
Santana shakes her head and kisses her temple. ''You don't have to apologize for that, I understand mi amor.'' She pulls back as she hears the front door close, little footsteps sounding through the hallway and pecks her lips. ''Ready to hug our little ones?''
She stands up with a grin as she nods her head a big smile forming on her lips and opens the kitchen door chuckling as both kids face the door as they talk to Nickayla, she crouches down behind them and reaches out to poke their sides laughing as they jump with a squeak. ''Hola little ones.''
''Mami!''
''Mommy!'' Sofia and Liam squeal in unison, Santana laughs falling back as Sofia tackles her in a hug and looks up smiling lovingly as she sees Brittany just hoisting Liam up to hug him tightly.
''I missed you mommy!'' Liam murmurs as he hugs his mommy tightly.
''I missed you too my sweet boy.'' Brittany breaths out as she kisses the top of his head, she stumbles back as Nick and Mychal rush into the kitchen to hug her tightly and relaxes in their hold.
''It's over?'' Nickayla just asks softly making sure to cover Liam's ears, she smiles brightly as both women nod their heads and walks over to Santana to kiss her cheek and hug her tightly. ''Thank god.''
Santana hums in agreement sliding up to Brittany as Yolanda and George fill into the kitchen to hug them and takes Liam from her grinning as Sofia practically dives into Brittany's embrace the second she holds her arms out for her.
''Can we enjoy date nights again?'' Sofia asks sweetly.
''Date nights?'' Yolanda asks teasingly as she looks at the kids, she shoots Brittany and Santana a knowing grin as they freeze and laughs as she watches Sofia slap her little hand in front of her mouth in shock.
''Sof.'' Liam scolds giggling. ''That was a secret!''
Brittany laughs kissing Sofia's head and hugs her close. ''Nah not anymore, tell them prince and princess.''
''Mommy and Sanny are dating!''
''Mami and Britty are dating!'' Both kids squeak out with big smiles after looking at each other for a moment.
''Called it!'' Nickayla cheers with a loud laugh tackling both of her best friends in a hug again.
''Like hell you did.'' Naya breaths out chuckling. ''I already knew two months ago.''
''You what?!''
Brittany jumps hearing Nickayla, Yolanda and Mychal yell loudly and winces as she watch them hit Naya's arm. ''Learn to run the second you tell them Nay.'' She tells her in amusement as she groans, she raises a hand in surrender keeping the other securely wrapped around Sofia and laughs as they glare at her. ''Don't glare at me! We just wanted to keep it down and see how both kids react to it before we allow you all to tease.''
''Sanny can we go and play?'' Liam asks softly quickly getting bored of the adults talking about adult stuff, Santana nods her head and chuckles.
''Yeah go ahead Li.'' She places him down chuckling as he runs over to safe Sofia from the scolding adults and watches them run out of the kitchen, she clears her throat as she sees Nick glaring at her and rubs the back of her neck. ''Stop glaring at me, we both had to consider Li and Sof into this so we opted to keep it just between us.''
''Besides we planned on telling all of you this Sunday.'' Brittany breaths out with a sigh. ''But someone decided to ruin that.''
''Who asked who?'' George just asks with a grin after hugging the both of them telling them how happy he is for them.
Santana points at Brittany and chuckles. ''First date and girlfriend question were hers.''
''Who knows?'' Mychal asks curiously.
''Now everyone do.'' Brittany replies after kissing Santana's head rolling her eyes as Nick and Yolanda coo. ''Puck found out on his own same goes for Heath after she eavesdropped on my conversation with Puck and Nay would have walked in on us kissing if we hadn't locked the door the day of the cast night.''
''I still knew because as hard as they tried to straighten out their clothes, Britt forgot to wipe Santana's lipstick off of her face.'' Naya adds in amusement.
''Does Quinn know?'' Nickayla asks with an eyebrow raised.
''I am sure she does by now.'' Santana murmurs with a chuckle. ''Puck can't keep his trap shut but I will tell her tomorrow after meeting up with her and Berry for lunch.''
''How about we just meet up and do what we planned Sunday, tomorrow?'' Yolanda asks grinning. ''Invite the girls and just join us at the house, I will cook something for all of us and if the weather is nice the kids can swim.''
''Sounds fine by me.'' Brittany breaths out shrugging as Santana turns to her with an eyebrow raised, she walks towards the living room as Santana confirms and drops down on the love seat after shooting Mercedes and Jack a grin.
Mercedes turns to Nickayla the second Santana excuses herself and raises an eyebrow noticing Brittany joking around with Heather, Naya and Mychal. ''Snixx is happy?''
''I don't think I ever saw her this happy C.'' Nickayla whispers as drops down into the empty seat beside her. ''College bitch didn't manage to bring out the smile she is wearing now, the one she has now is close to the one she has watching Sof.''
''Yeah I can see that, they are together for what two months now?'' Mercedes hums as Nickayla nods her head and bites her lip. ''I didn't see that smile before either and she was in a relationship with that other bitch for two years before they both wanted Sof.''
''Turns out she didn't want her at all.'' Santana breaths out sliding up behind them, she laughs as they both squeak in shock and slaps the back of their heads. ''Stop whispering about my love life you idiots.''
She walks around the couch dropping down beside Brittany and smiles as she just lifts her arm still joking around, she locks eyes with Mercedes and raises an eyebrow silently asking her to repeat whatever she asked Nick the second she left.
''You happy?'' Mercedes just asks with an eyebrow raised.
Santana nods her head intertwining her hand with Brittany's and smiles lovingly as she feels her kiss the top of her head mid sentence. ''Happier as ever C.''
''Ditto.'' Brittany just replies as she notices Nickayla look at her, she winks as she sees the big smile forming on her lips and chuckles. ''Yes Nick you play a huge part into the way our relationship developed.''
''Ha! I am the best wing woman!'' Nick cheers as Santana nods her head in agreement the both of them knowing that they would have never bonded if Nickayla hadn't convinced Brittany to join the agency.
''You are the biggest idiot.'' Naya fires back in amusement, she laughs ducking as Nickayla throws a pillow in her direction and snickers as it smacks Heather in the face. ''Oh and you have absolutely no aim.''
Brittany laughs as Heather just glares at the back of Naya's head and quickly reaches out to grab her hand, she pulls her close grunting as she drops in her lap and quickly lifts her hand to protect her from the pillow Heather tries to hit her with. ''Nick has perfect aim.'' She breaths out laughing. ''She just smacked Heath in the face and not you.''
''Awe always my bodyguard whenever your cousin tries something.'' Naya coos kissing her cheek, she giggles as Heather just grumbles and winks. ''She loves me more.'' She teases.
''I love the both of you equally you idiot.'' Brittany tells her laughing as Heather huffs. ''I just don't want her to kill you, she is definitely more fun with you around.''
''Screw you B.'' Heather grumbles out through a soft laugh as everyone snickers.
''Nah don't need my own hand anymore.'' Brittany mutters offhandedly as she tickles Naya, she laughs as Santana spits out her drink and turns to her in amusement. ''Gotta swallow babe, spit everything that's white.''
''B!'' Yolanda scolds as her kids, Heather and Mercedes burst out laughing. She shakes her head as she just turns to her with a sheepish grin and sighs. ''Behave.''
Brittany just sucks in her lips knowing the comment laying on the tip of her tongue will render Yolanda speechless and just nods her head, Naya giggles knowing exactly what Brittany is thinking and jumps up. '''Cause I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it Sticks and stones may break my bones But chains and whips excite me.'' She sings smirking.
She burst into a fit of giggles as Brittany turns bright red and quickly hides behind her girlfriend as she turns to her glaring. ''Just saying.''
''Why the fuck do I love you all?'' Brittany grumbles as she hears Santana giggle.
''Because we are your family, there is an unwritten rule that we love and tease the fuck out of each other.'' Mychal tells her laughing, he glances at the time as his phone beeps and sighs. ''And that is my cue to go.''
''Match?'' Brittany just asks as they all stand up.
Mychal nods his head and smiles. ''Yeah mami, papi and Nick will join me.''
''Nay and I will too.'' Heather tells him with a grin.
''Yeah Jack and I need to go too, or flight will leave in about an hour and we want to grab a quick bite before.'' Mercedes announces.
Brittany nods her head and turns her head whistling loudly as soon as they entered the hallway. ''Kids!'' She hollers, she chuckles as she hears them reply and winks as two heads peak out of Liam's room. ''Everyone is leaving, come say goodbye.''
She steps back after she hugged everyone, once again thanking Mercedes and Jack for their help and smiles lovingly as she watches her son politely saying goodbye to them and hugging their family nodding his head as Yolanda tells them both that they will see each other for lunch the next day.
She turns to Santana after closing the door behind Mercedes and locks eyes with her. ''What do we want to eat today babe?''
''Order in?'' Santana asks softly. ''I can make a smoothie for both kids so they will have the vitamins they need, but I don't feel like cooking.''
Brittany shakes her head and smiles. ''Nick told us that they had salad for lunch, let's order a pizza and start a Disney night.'' She whispers as she walks over to kiss the top of her head, she wraps her arms around her shoulders as she feels her arms snake around her waist and sighs softly feeling nothing but contentment filling her guts the second she notices the relaxing atmosphere around the apartment.
''Sounds perfect.'' Santana whispers feeling two pairs of arms wrap around her legs, she looks down grinning as both kids look up at them with big smiles and gently runs her hands through their hairs. ''Disney night and pizza?''
Brittany chuckles leaning down to kiss their heads as they nod and grabs her phone. ''I will order our phone, go pick out a movie.'' She watches them immediately run into the living room pulling Santana with them and laughs softly as Santana almost stumble over he own feet trying to keep up with them, she shakes her head with a loving grin as Santana just turns to her with an eyebrow raised and dials the number of her favorite pizza place after blowing her a kiss.
Time to look back up and leave all the worry behind us. She thinks to herself as she watches both kids climb onto the sofa to cuddle with Santana, she walks into the kitchen as she hears both kids giggle loudly the second Santana tickles them and leans against the kitchen counter to order their food.
