After the little incident in the cafeteria, Sonic headed down the halls to find the head of the Fall Formal planning committee, following Fluttershy's instructions. This time, though, he wasn't on his own; Twilight was heading there with him at the same time. Oh, and whaddaya know? There was also a little dog walking beside Twilight.

Twilight's little dog had iris purple fur with parakeet spiked green in the middle which stuck out a little, apple green eyes, chartreuse green furred ears and he wore a denim blue collar with silver spikes and a gold dog tag with a pink heart in the middle.

Sonic, Twilight and her dog reached the end of the hallway to see a pair of closed doors in front of them. Twilight stated as she opened one of the doors for Sonic and the dog, "Fluttershy said she'd probably be in here."

On the other side of the door was the destination Fluttershy gave them; the gym. And, oh wow, was it stacked with decorations; streamers, balloons, tables with drinks and snacks, pumpkins of different sizes over at the stage, and even a DJ station in the corner. Heck, there was also a disco ball hanging from the ceiling in the middle.

Sonic couldn't help but let out a whistle as he was impressed with all the decorating in the gym, "Wow, nice stuff. And to think that one person did this? They'd have to be crazy invested in doing this. Soooo… where do you think they are?"

Twilight had just opened her mouth and was about to say something, until there was the call from someone shouting, "INCOMING!"

Sonic, Twilight and the dog all looked up to see something coming down at them; an oncoming storm of streamers. They all blocked their heads in surprise as they were all covered up in different colours of the rainbow, then ended up on the floor from the raining streamers. Sonic blew a pair of streamers out of his face, before climbing out of his little streamer cocoon and brushing a few off his shoulder, "Where'd those streamers come from?"

Sonic's ear then gave an involuntary twitch as he could hear something closeby. He turned to the right to see a girl tossing ribbons around on the floor, probably to add as much decoration as possible. The girl had blush-pink coloured skin, her eyes were sky blue, and she had fuschia-strawberry pink fluffed up long hair with a sky blue hair ribbon which had a little bow with a heart on the side. She wore a white modern tank top with a hint of amethyst purple on the collar and the image of three balloons; one yellow and two bright blue. Along with the shirt was a three-layer ruffle skirt with the top layer being cerulean blue with a confetti design, the middle layer white with bright yellow and balloons, and the bottom layer magenta pink with a streamer design. Underneath the skirt, she also wore solid white tights. Her footwear were fuschia pink and sky blue shoes with white hearts on the side of the ankles. She also wore a sky blue bracelet on her wrists.

Judging by the probability that she was the only one in the gym before they entered, Sonic approached the girl and gave a little wave to her as he stood beside her, "S'cuse me, is this where the Fall Formal dance will be happening?"

The girl placed her finger and thumb on one of the balloons on her skirt and she somehow managed to pull it off as if it was just another balloon as she turned her head to give her attention to Sonic, "Hi there. Yep, you're in the right place."

The girl started blowing up the balloon as Twilight approached her from behind, "Hi, my name's Twilight Sparkle and–"

The girl swiftly turned around as she was blowing her now bigger and longer balloon and Twilight just managed to quickly duck her head before it could hit her. However, when she saw her face more clearly, Twilight sounded surprised as the next words that came out of her were, "Pinkie Pie?"

The girl suddenly pulled her lips away from the balloon for a split second in surprise, and the balloon started deflating, blowing hard in her face. Sonic stood frozen in place with an arched eyebrow when he heard what Twilight said, leaving him to ponder in his head, "Pinkie Pie? Is that this girl's name?"

All of a sudden, the girl somehow appeared out of nowhere behind Twilight and grabbed her by the shoulders, making her swiftly turn around. She let out a gasp in shock as she asked with her face inches from Twilight, her eyes bulging from what she heard, "Are you psychic?!"

Sonic's mouth opened in surprise as his question was answered; the girl's name really was Pinkie Pie. Twilight gave her answer with a sense of not-exact clearness, "Uhh, no. I don't think so. Unless of course that's something you can do here."

In response, Pinkie just let Twilight drop to the floor and brushed off the subject with a brief sigh, "Not usually."

As Pinkie went back to blowing up balloons, Sonic took hold of Twilight's arms and pulled her onto her feet. After clearing his throat, Sonic explained to Pinkie why he and Twilight arrived at the gym, "We were told by Fluttershy that this was where we'd find the head of the Fall Formal planning committee. Twilight here's hoping to sign up for the competition and I'm just here to learn about the dance. Name's Sonic, by the way."

Seeing through the yellow balloon she just blew up, Pinkie's expression went flat at the mention of Fluttershy. She turned back around as she tied the balloon, "Fluttershy, huh? Don't let the whole 'shy' thing fool you; she can be a real meanie."

That particular response from Pinkie seemed to leave both Sonic and Twilight a little surprised. Sonic put his finger on his chin over this as Twilight asked, "You two aren't friends?"

Pinkie walked backwards leaning back towards Twilight and Sonic before standing back up straight and directly asking Twilight, "Waited a bit to get your name on the ballet, huh? Dance is day after tomorrow."

"I'm brand new here," Twilight answered.

"Oooh!" Pinkie responded with an optimistic tone, before she put her finger on her chin, "I thought you didn't look familiar."

Almost like a blur, Pinkie dashed forward to Twilight and started examining her closely, probably a bit too closely, "Though now that I'm really lookin' at you…"

After her quick examination on Twilight, Pinkie took a few steps backwards from her before asking while pointing away from her, "Do you have a twin sister who lives in the city, has a pet dog named Spike that looks just like that one?"

Who Pinkie was referring to was the little dog who was chewing on a balloon right next to Sonic's foot. Sonic looked down at the little dog before looking back at Pinkie while guessing in his mind, "First Twilight lucky-guessing Pinkie's name, now Pinkie lucky-guesses this pup's name, Spike?"

Twilight answered Pinkie's question with a shrug, "Uhh, maybe?"

With a casual response, Pinkie replied, "Thought so."

The next thing Pinkie did left Sonic looking rather surprised and confused; she put her hand inside her hair before she pulled out a clipboard with a pen for Twilight to sign in, "Anyhoo, just need to fill this out and you are officially up for the coveted Princess of the Fall Formal crown."

Seeing Pinkie randomly pull a clipboard and pen out from inside her hair like a cartoon left Sonic confused indeed as he scratched his head at this. Pinkie held the pen in front of Twilight waiting for her to take it, and strangely enough, instead of using her hand to take it, she did so with her mouth. And although Pinkie didn't seem to find it weird in any way, Sonic definitely did. Twilight grabbed the pen with her hand after a few seconds and started signing the paper on the clipboard.

Sonic was able to notice from his angle that Twilight looked like she was struggling to write properly on the paper and after she finished, Pinkie flipped the clipboard around to see. The result caused her eyes to bulge again, "Wow! You have really bad handwriting. It's like you've never held a pen before."

Twilight gave a nervous laugh as she dropped the pen on the floor, "Is it?"

Sonic couldn't help but arch his eyebrow at Twilight's answer and behavior, something seemed a little off. But before he got the chance to say a word, the gym doors opened and another voice spoke over, "Somebody order a dozen cases of fizzy apple cider?"

The three looked over at the door to see someone entering the gym with something in their hands. Pinkie responded, flailing out her arms with excitement, "Oh! Oh! Me, me-me-me! Me! Yeah! Uh-huh! Me!"

Putting down a crate full of bottles filled with apple cider on a table was another teenage girl, this time one with more of a western style. This girl had light orange skin with white freckles on her cheeks, her blonde hair was tied up in a natural low ponytail that fell to the middle of her back with a Stetson brown cowboy hat, and she had emerald green eyes. She wore a blue sleeveless denim jacket with a tiger orange bandana around her neck. Underneath the jacket was a white T-shirt with parakeet green on the sleeves and shoulders, along with the logo of a bright red apple with small green leaves on the chest. She also had denim blue jean pants with a rose red belt with a pineapple yellow buckle in the shape of an apple. Her footwear were tawny brown leather cowgirl boots with a custom design of an apple on the foot and three red apples on the inner side of each boot.

The cowgirl took hold of her hat and whipped some sweat from her forehead; she had probably been doing a lot of hard work that day. When Twilight managed to see her more clearly, she had an expression of surprise on her face just from looking at her. Sonic was able to notice this but just thought this wasn't anything to think about.

After putting her hat back on, the cowgirl asked someone in a southern accent, "Can you bring in the rest?"

"Eeyup," answered an older male teenager walking into the gym carrying four crates of apple cider at once in his hands.

Pinkie bounced up and down on her foot, looking excited to have a bottle of apple cider for herself. The cowgirl took the crate from the top showing the guy's face and he happened to look like he was her big brother. She was heading over to the same table to put down the crate of apple cider when she happened to see both Sonic and Twilight and glanced at them as if she'd seen them somewhere, "Hey, Ah know you two."

Sonic and Twilight briefly looked at each other before Sonic asked the cowgirl while pointing at Twilight then himself, "Who, her and me?"

The cowgirl answered as she put the crate down on the table and reached in to grab a bottle, "Sure. Yer the new students who both gave Sunset Shimmer the what-for today."

As the cowgirl took out the bottle from the crate, she turned to sit against the table while pointing the bottle at Sonic, "Ah also know that you, the new blue-haired boy, taught the Diamond Dogs a lesson during lunch. Saw it online. That's just about one other thing no one's tried doin'. And not only did ya make it out, ya totally moped the floor with 'em. Sonic, right?"

Sonic responded with a nod and a thumbs-up, to which the cowgirl replied with a wink while tilting her hat. She then proceeded to grab another bottle from the crate and placed it on the floor, "Here, partner, Ah think you could use a little drink. An incident like that with the Dogs could get anyone thirsty."

The cowgirl pushed the bottle with her foot, making it slide across the floor until Sonic stopped it with his foot, balanced it on his shoe on the side, and shoved it upward in the air to catch it with his hand, "Thanks."

Sonic removed the cap from the bottle with his thumb and took a sip of the cider. After a quick taste test, he actually found it to be really good as he gave a whistle, "Not bad. This stuff's good. Actually, it's great."

The cowgirl smiled in response to this as she removed the cap from her own bottle with her teeth, "Glad ya like it. Mah family and Ah work hard to make sure our apple farm works well and makes good products."

As the cowgirl began drinking her apple cider, Pinkie popped up next to her with a red balloon in hand, "Twilight Sparkle here's gonna run against Sunset Shimmer for Princess of the Fall Formal."

Pinkie began inflating her balloon and out of nowhere started floating in the air like a cartoon, making Sonic scratch his head again with an arched eyebrow. In response to Pinkie's statement, the cowgirl's eyes went wide open in surprise before she spat out the cider she didn't swallow on the floor. She wiped her mouth with her arm as she turned to Twilight with shock.

After Sonic took a drink of his cider, he responded while pointing his thumb to Twilight, "You heard her right. The new girl's competing against the bad girl. Pretty awesome, right?"

The cowgirl responded with skepticism, "Ah'd think twice about that. Oh, sure, she'll probably approach her all friendly-like."

Pinkie floated in the air next to the cowgirl, before she was pulled right down to the floor. The cowgirl then took the red balloon and started drawing on it with a black marker while Pinkie just casually started blowing up a yellow balloon. The cowgirl then held up the red balloon with a drawing of Sunset Shimmer while impersonating her, "'I sure am lookin' forward to some friendly competition'."

The cowgirl then used Pinkie's yellow balloon with a drawing of Twilight as she imitated again, "'That's so good to hear'."

In her normal voice, she turned the Sunset balloon around to reveal a tack taped to the back, "But then, here comes the backstabbin'."

Using the tack on the Sunset balloon, the cowgirl popped the Twilight balloon with one poke. Sonic and Twilight just watched the remains of the balloon fall to the floor before the cowgirl gave what she seemed to consider important advice, "About the only girl in this school either of you can trust less than Sunset Shimmer is Rainbow Dash."

The mention of the name 'Rainbow Dash' caused Sonic to remember something from earlier when he first stepped into the school, when he met the blue girl with the hair in the colours of the rainbow, hence why she would be called that.

"Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked in response.

Pinkie just happened to come bouncing on a giant balloon past Twilight and Sonic, riding it like a horse, "She's the captain of, like, every team at Canterlot High."

In the background, Pinkie's giant balloon went out with a loud pop crashing over a few other party materials. Sonic turned over to Twilight and pointed his thumb in Pinkie's direction with an expression that asked how the party girl could do that, to which Twilight just shrugged in response. The cowgirl added to her advice while rolling her eyes and crossing her arms, "She's also the captain of sayin' she's gonna do somethin' for ya, and then turnin' around and not even botherin' to show up."

Twilight approached and put her hand on the cowgirl's shoulder, "Thanks for the advice, Applejack, but this is something I really need to do."

Sonic was just taking another drink of his cider when he suddenly froze with an expression of surprise with an exclamation mark appearing for a split second next to his head when he heard what Twilight said, almost choking from a sudden swallow in the process, "Wait a sec! Did she just–"

"Huh, suit yourself," the cowgirl just casually responded, before her tone shifted upon realizing something, "Hey… how'd you know mah name was Applejack?"

Twilight perked up in response as she let out a nervous laughter with a blush on her cheeks, "Umm, I uh, hahah, didn't you say?"

Applejack's supposed brother walked back with another crate of apple cider to add to the pile while Pinkie was having her own drink, "Nnnope."

Twilight responded by quickly shaking Applejack's hand while waving to Sonic and Pinkie with nervousness in her voice, "Well, uh, it sure was nice meeting you three. I'm sure I'll be seeing you around."

Wasting no time, Twilight started making a run for it out of the gym through the side door by the stage with her little dog, Spike following her behind. Applejack and Pinkie just stood where they were confused at Twilight's departure, but Sonic glanced at her suspiciously; Twilight was hiding something. How could she know Pinkie and Applejack's names if they never met? Why was she so determined to compete against Sunset? A mystery he needed to solve right away.

Pinkie popped up beside Applejack, "That one's tryin' to hide a secret, but I am totally onto her."

She then leaned close to Applejack whispering, "She's psychic!"

Applejack just casually responded, "Uh-huh. If you say so."

Knowing this was now or never to follow Twilight, Sonic turned over to face the girls, "I'd actually better get going too. Gotta have a chance to check out the rest of the school for my visit."

Sonic quickly finished the rest of his cider before tossed the empty bottle into a recycling bin next to the gym doors. Sonic snapped his fingers at Pinkie with a tongue click, "Great work on the decorations, Pinkie. Everything looks neatly sorted out. Just, uh, maybe make sure that there aren't too many streamers all over the floor, just for safety?"

Pinkie gave a smile to Sonic with a thumbs-up, "Will do! Thanks, Sonic!"

Sonic then offered Applejack a fist bump, "Loved the apple cider, Applejack. Maybe you can share what other kinds of stuff you and your family make? I'd like to try 'em."

Applejack gave a smile in response as she accepted the fist bump before she held her hat in her hands, "Ah, shucks. Thanks, partner. Ya don't know how it feels when someone gives some nice words like that to me."

Sonic gave a quick salute to Applejack with a wink as he walked backwards, "No prob. Anyways, gotta go. Later, girls!"

Sonic's kind words, smile and wink all at once made Applejack let out a small blush on her cheeks. Regardless, both she and Pinkie waved bye to Sonic as followed Twilight's direction and exited the gym, very curious to find out what was going on, "Alright, Twilight Sparkle, whatever you're hiding, we're gonna have a talk. Big time."

After Sonic closed the door behind him, Applejack and Pinkie stood where they were with their smiles for Sonic. However, the moment was then interrupted by the sound of the main gym doors busting opening with force. The two girls looked over to see who it was, and it was none other than the bully girl from before herself; Sunset Shimmer. And standing behind her were two small boys. The boy named Snips was small with buck teeth, and the other, Snails, was slightly taller and skinny.

The first thing that came out of Sunset's mouth was a flat-out negative comment on all of Pinkie's hard work on the decorations, "This. Looks. Terrible!"

Sunset walked into the gym with Snips and Snails following her. She popped two balloons at once with just a tap of her finger while speaking negatively to Pinkie, much to the party girl's dismay, "There should be more streamers by the stage and fewer balloons."

With a high and scratchy voice, Snips responded while ripping a streamer in half in front of Pinkie, "Yeah, streamers!"

"And fewer balloons!" Snails replied while trying to pop a balloon by squeezing it in his arms, but ended up failing and fell to the floor with the balloon just floating away.

Sunset disgustedly yelled at Applejack for her choice of drinks, "Fizzy apple cider? UGH! This is my coronation, not a hoedown!"

Applejack didn't take Sunset's words very well and angrily responded at her while putting her hat back on, "Well, now, it ain't necessarily gonna be your coronation this time around!"

"Oh, is that so?" Sunset suddenly rushed right in Applejack's face, making her silent.

Pinkie backed away from the two in fear. Sunset then turned Applejack's hat backwards before slipping it onto her face and walking off, "Your country folk really aren't that bright. Must be why the other students say such awful things about you."

This comment angered Applejack as the top of her hat opened up revealing her face turned red with steam from anger, along with a growl. Sunset only spoke out proudly, "Obviously, it's gonna be my coronation. I'm running unopposed."

Oh, how wrong she was as Pinkie in response pulled out the clipboard Twilight wrote on before, "Not this time. The new girl just signed up!"

"What?!" Sunset responded with surprise as she took the clipboard from Pinkie and looked at it closely.

Pinkie complimented Twilight's writing while letting out her puzzlement on Sunset's criticism for her decorations, "I know, her handwriting is really bad. And it's too bad you don't like my hard work. If Sonic were here right now, he would not be happy."

Sunset slowly lowered the clipboard from her face revealing anger and annoyance as she scowled to herself out loud, "Who is this Sonic? And where is this Twilight Sparkle?"

Sunset turned her head to Pinkie and Applejack to realize that she probably slipped up a bit. To brush it off, she let out a chuckle, "I'm looking forward to meeting the competition."

Applejack looked over to Pinkie and Pinkie just shrugged in response. Meanwhile, Twilight was roaming through the hall with Spike in her backpack, consistently checking side to side making sure that no one was noticing her. But as much as she thought no one was following her, she didn't realize how wrong she was. Sonic was quietly behind her, following her every direction; he was not going to let her out of his sight after how she acted; how she knew who Pinkie and Applejack were.

Twilight continued to wander down until she reached a dead end, a dead end that was dark with one flickering light barely on at all and an open locker door slightly shifting on its own. In mere seconds, Sonic stepped out from behind the corner, "Twilight?"

Twilight gasped as she jumped in surprise and turned around to see Sonic, "Ahh! Sonic? W-what are you… have you been following me?"

"You bet," Sonic answered, "Only because I know something's going on. From what I've heard, Sunset wants that crown so bad that just about no one else here's gonna try to challenge her. Just you. And I'm betting it's because it's not an ordinary crown at all, is it?"

Twilight started to give a sense of concern, and so did Spike. Sonic happened to notice this very easily, "My guess… is that the crown isn't from around here. And by that, I mean maybe the crown isn't from this world at all. And neither are you two."

Twilight and Spike's eyes were wide open with surprise. Twilight was awestruck by Sonic's guess as if he somehow picked something up, "H… how did you know?"

Sonic raised his finger and opened his mouth to speak, but before he got his chance to say a word, another familiar voice spoke out, "It's because he isn't from this world either."

Sonic and Twilight stood frozen for a second as they both seemed to recognize that voice. They both turned their heads to see that it was the one person that they both stood up to; Sunset. Sunset stood against the wall with her arms crossed before she walked past the two with a smirk on her face while talking directly to Twilight, "Can't believe I didn't recognize you earlier. I should've known Princess Celestia would send her prized pupil here after my crown. And her little dog too."

Princess Celestia? That was something Sonic didn't expect to hear. Was Sunset referring to the principal of CHS? Or was she referring to someone else? Regardless, he knew this was where he was going to start getting a better idea of what was going on.

Twilight sternly turned to fully face Sunset as she angrily stated, "It's my crown!"

Sunset just brushed it off as if what Twilight said was a joke, "Whatever. This is just a minor setback for me. You don't know the first thing about this place, and I already rule it."

Sonic stepped in front of Sunset with a scoff, "Anyone ever told ya that you're really full of yourself?"

Sunset just blankly stared at Sonic while pointing at Twilight, "You know nothing about what Princess Celestia had done to me. Why are you even stepping in for her when you don't even know who she is?"

"Don't need to," Sonic replied, "Cuz ya already spilled the beans that you three are definitely not from this world, and you're the bad guy here. If I had to guess, the crown in the principal's office is actually an energy source and you stole it from Twilight. Am I right, thief?"

Sunset did show some surprise on her face for a moment, before she just chuckled at Sonic, "Well, I'll say this; I'm impressed that a stranger such as yourself managed to figure that out so quickly… Sonic. So tell me, rat; what kind of world do you come from?"

Sunset then swiftly reached her hand towards Sonic and suddenly grabbed his hood before pulling it right off. Sonic didn't manage to react quickly enough as his hood got fully pulled off and now his hedgehog ears were exposed. Sunset, Twilight and Spike all stood frozen at what they just discovered.

Sonic quickly shoved Sunset away from him as he answered out of annoyance for her calling him 'rat' again, "I'm a hedgehog. Hedge. HOG. And you better be careful cuz you have no clue what I'm capable of. Besides, if you really rule this place, why do you even need that crown at all? I bet you put yourself in quite a lot of trouble to replace whatever crown actually belongs here."

Sunset only chuckled as she asked both Sonic and Twilight at the same time, before being more direct to the Mobian, "Pop quiz, what happens when you bring an Element of Harmony into an alternate world? That is, if you even know what an Element of Harmony is."

Neither Sonic nor Twilight had an answer to Sunset's question. Obviously, Sunset was right about asking that to Sonic; he never heard of an Element of Harmony before. Upon seeing Twilight trying to think of an answer only left Sunset amused as she mockingly laughed, "You don't know? Seriously? And you're supposed to be Princess Celestia's star student? Then again, what were the chances she'd find somepony as bright as me to take under her wing after I decided to leave Equestria?"

More details were revealed and two more questions were answered for Sonic; the place that Sunset and Twilight had come from was a place called Equestria, and Sunset saying 'some-pony' had to mean that they were both in pony forms where they came from and not human. Now things were getting clear more quickly for the Blue Blur.

Sunset walked past both Twilight and Sonic as she continued to mock her Fall Formal Princess rival, "Bit embarrassing that you were the best she could do."

As it turned out, Spike was not taking any of this lightly. He poked out of Twilight's backpack and growled angrily at her. Another thing that caught Sonic's eye; a normal dog being able to fully understand the human language was extremely rare if not impossible.

Sunset gave Spike a scratch on the chin as she wasn't afraid of him, "Oh, and I'd keep an eye on your mutt. Hate for him to be… taken away from you."

And now another detail was revealed right out of the blue as Spike actually spoke back, "Is that a threat?"

This was one thing that actually slightly caught Sonic off-guard; he wasn't expecting to see a dog actually speak. But then again, given that Twilight and Sunset were apparently ponies from another world and could talk as well, then this wasn't that much of a stretch.

Sunset mockingly responded to Spike's question, "Oh, of course not."

Spike then let out an angry bark at Sunset, who only placed her finger on his lips with a smirk before Twilight pulled him away from her, "But I'd cut down on the chatter if I were you. Don't want everyone to know that you two don't belong here, now would you?"

Sunset then approached Sonic with confidence and placed her hand on his chin, much to the Mobian's annoyance, "Oh, and I'd cover those… hedgehog ears of yours. After all, you're in just as much of the same situation as these two. And as cute as you might be with that face and scar, good looks won't be enough for you to be on my 'good' side. So watch your every step."

Sunset's confident smile suddenly shifted to a surprised expression when she noticed something with Sonic had immediately changed; his emerald green eyes were now glowing bright blue with sparks of his lightning flickering around his head. Twilight and Spike were able to witness this as well, and they both looked surprised at what they were seeing.

Sonic bluntly slapped Sunset's hand away from his face with a response to her threat as his eyes continued to glow, "Not like any guy will want to be your special one anyway."

Sunset was quick to brush off her surprised expression and only ignored Sonic and just mockingly scolded Twilight as she started walking away, "You want to be a princess here? Please. You don't know the first thing about fitting in."

Once Sunset was out of sight, the flickering light over Sonic, Twilight and Spike's heads sparked and went off. After a moment of silence, Sonic pulled his hood back up to cover his ears as the blue glow in his eyes faded and he turned over to Twilight and Spike with his arms crossed, "We need to talk."

"What do you mean we can't find him?" That voice didn't come from Sonic, Twilight or Spike.

Transitioning to Mobius, the rest of Teams Sonic and Dark were discussing the current situation. And the one who asked the question with a bit of worry and confusion was none other than Amy, "I don't get it. Tails, you've been able to hijack Eggman's tech before. Can't you and GUN do the same with this teleporter?"

Tails let out a sign as he held his arms, "I'm sorry, Amy. As much of an intellect as I have, I can't just be able to understand his technology simply by looking at it; I need to study it to better understand how it functions. Even with the blueprints on the device to try and decode, the necessary parts and materials that were used are very rare and Eggman's probably the only person we know of who's been able to afford it over the years."

Cream turned over to Blaze, "Miss Blaze, do you think the Sol Emeralds could help us find Mr. Sonic?"

Blaze crossed her arms in an unfortunate manner, "Unfortunately, they cannot, Cream. The Sol Emeralds don't have any similar connection to the Master Emerald like the Chaos Emeralds do. Even if they could in one way or another, the chances of their power locking onto the Chaos Emeralds are slim. Your dimension is the only other one that the Sol Emeralds have traveled to in the past, after all."

Silver pointed over to the Master Emerald behind Knuckles as he asked the echidna, "Knuckles, do you think it's possible that the Master Emerald can track the Chaos Emeralds even if they're all in another dimension?"

Knuckles put his hand on his chin at this idea; he didn't have an exact answer to the question, "I'm not sure if it can even work that way. It could depend on how far across dimensions they've gone. If they've gone lightyears away, it could be impossible for it to detect them."

Rouge put her hand on Knuckles' shoulder, "I can't argue with that, but we won't know for sure unless you try. Please."

After a moment of silent thought, Knuckles sighed, "Alright, I'll give it a shot."

Knuckles turned around to face and approached the Master Emerald. Taking a deep breath, he slowly raised his hands and closed his eyes, focusing his thoughts and voice directly on the giant gemstone, "Master Emerald, we need your help. We need to know where Sonic and the Chaos Emeralds have ended up. Help us find them so we can bring them back home."

The Master Emerald started glowing brightly in its bright green colour. The light flashed out as its energy sparkled with particles. The rest of the Mobians held their hands in front of their eyes, shielding them from the bright light. Knuckles gritted his teeth, looking tenser by the second as he focused as hard as he could to track the Chaos Emeralds.

Shadow was standing over on the side top of the ruined temple when he could see the shining light of the Master Emerald from the corner of his eye. He turned around to see that Knuckles was attempting to locate the Chaos Emeralds. After a short period of time, the Master Emerald's bright light slowly started to vanish. The particles of energy around the area faded into thin air. Once the bright light faded, the Mobians uncovered their faces. Knuckles began exhaling out of exhaustion as his arms lowered down.

Amy held her hands in front of her as she asked in a hopeful tone, "Anything, Knuckles?"

For a few seconds, there was no response. Knuckles slowly turned around to face the rest of his friends with a sigh of defeat, "It's no good. The Master Emerald can't detect the Chaos Emeralds or Sonic anywhere."

Silver, Blaze and most of the Mobians' eyes were wide open in shock; all of the effort they've put into trying to find Sonic and the Chaos Emeralds were in vain. Amy stomped her foot on the ground in annoyance, "Argh! All this hard work and we can't find them?! If we don't figure something out fast, Sonic could be in danger, and the Chaos Emeralds will fall into the wrong hands!"

Tails scratched his head, "Even if we do manage to figure out how to get that dimensional transporter back online, we can't risk any losses. There has to be something we can do. Anything."

The group all pondered to themselves; they simply couldn't figure out what else to do. In the moment of intense thinking, Shadow seemed to have an idea, "Actually, there might be."

This statement managed to catch the Mobians' attention, intrigued by whatever Shadow had in mind. "Really? What?" Silver asked.

Shadow crossed his arms as he explained, "I know someone. Someone who has experience of traveling to different dimensions. I'm unsure if he has gone to wherever Sonic and Eggman had ended up. But if he has, he may be able to help us find them and bring them and the Chaos Emeralds back to Mobius."
