This Year (Forever Friends)
This year is almost over; I'll be sad to see it go.
I've shared many good times with friends, more than you'll ever know.
We've acted out plays (all comedies and skits); we've counted the days (with pockets full of fish!).
We've made some remarks about our sisters and brothers and debated whose picture was better than others.
We've sung in the hallways and on top of the stairs and worried about all of our trivial cares.
We've watched scary movies ("quick, turn on the light!") and made late prank phone calls all through the night.
Our lives had a few unexpected twists and turns, but we were always there to help soothe the burns.
And now as this year slowly but surely ends, we'll always remember we'll forever have friends.
