Important note:
I started planning and writing this Fic way before the newest movie 'DBS: Super Hero' was out. I have seen the movie a while ago, but didn't realize I was using a name for an OC that became an actual name of a character in said movie until someone pointed it out to me (in my head the names sounds differently). So... er... the similarities in name are purely coincidental. I had my reasons when I came up with the name - probably the same they had when they choose the name for that character in the movie - but because I already threw in too much hints in previous chapters, I cannot (and will not) change it. So sorry if it confused/confuses you.

Guest (11/5): Baba is not always in this world. There's so many other things that hold her interest, primarily those that make her money. So why would she be bothered about this? And how would Bulma get in contact with her on short notice? We know from the show many times they *could* have asked or used but they didn't, the franchise itself isn't flawless ;). And you need to take in mind that this is just the second day they know she is actually missing.
Guest (10/31): I wasn't nesesarely looking for an appology, but it is appriciated nontheless; thank you ;)
SaiyanPrince541: Thank you for all your detailed and honest reviews so far on both WaHD1 and WaHD2. I'm not sure if you are already at this point, but I enjoyed reading your reviews while you were going from chapter to chapter!
Everyone else: thank you for your lovely reviews and enjoy! Here is your answer to my cliffhanger ;)
Chapter 10: Ten Miles Under
Gohan kneeled in front of the wounded man. He wasn't tied up like the rest, but he wasn't able to move either. He held his hand over his wound so Gohan couldn't see how bad it actually was, but the smell that came from it gave away that it was severely infected; he would die for sure if it was left untreated.
"Let me see," Gohan said softly, knowing whatever the man had done wouldn't stand in contrast to the suffering he'd endured for at least a couple of days.
"No," the man said weakly, as a moan of pain left his lips, "I'm too far gone now, there is nothing you can do."
"Who did this?"
"The Upper Hand wasn't too pleased with Boss," the man tried to grin, "Tell me, why are they so scared of you?"
Gohan raised an eyebrow, "Scared?" He didn't get it. What has this to do with him personally? Wasn't this about Saiyaman? What was going on? "I don't understand…"
"That makes two of us," the man looked in Gohan's eyes, "You don't seem to be someone who hurts people."
"I'm not," Gohan said, "If you don't want me to help you with that wound, at least let me give you some energy." Gohan carefully reached out for the man's back and placed a flat hand on it, transmitting some of his Ki. The man gasped and with more liveliness in his eyes he looked back at him.
"What did you…"
"Don't worry yourself with that right now." Gohan was concerned the man might overspend his body and die on the spot if he wasn't careful, and he needed him to answer some questions. "What happened?"
"They shot my boys…" the man said with grief, "They shot them one by one - a permanent lesson for kidnapping you without her consent."
"Who's consent?"
"All I know is that Boss called her Carmine when she was here. I've never seen her in my life." A cough escaped his lips, "She shot me in the gut, giving me a 'chance to live' because I did a great service to her by stealing that orange orb from you… She is one sadistic fuck." Then he tried to adjust his position, but grimaced in pain and needed a moment of recovery before he continued, "Tell me, why was that orb so special? I'm gonna die anyway, so at least tell me what I died for…"
"That was one of the seven Dragon Balls; the complete set grants you three wishes," Gohan answered truthfully, trying to give the man some peace. Then he continued in recognition, "You're that biker, aren't you? The one in charge?"
"Huh… Who'd have thought; three wishes?" the man mumbled to himself, trying to process the information and beginning to understand why the Upper Hand was so obsessed with those orbs. Then he focused back on the young man in front of him, "I'm indeed that biker, my name is Hodaka. I'm sorry you got involved in this."
"Do you know where Videl Satan is?" Gohan asked with hope, now finding a window of opportunity to ask the dying man.
The biker raised an eyebrow, "Videl Satan? What does she have to do with this?" The biker shook his head, "No, this is about Saiyaman… She wanted him gone." Another cough left his throat; one that included blood. After some heavy breaths he continued, "We assumed it was you - the reason why Boss ordered us to kidnap you - but apparently we were wrong, judging by that bitch's reaction..."
"So you have no idea where she is? Where she could possibly be held?" Gohan tried, ignoring what Hodaka was saying as he grew desperate.
"Sorry," the man shook his head, "But if she was taken by the cartel, then Carmine is the one you need to look for. But be warned, it will probably be your last search."
Gohan felt the man's Ki slip away a bit - his body was weak. "Look, I know someone who can help you. He can heal your wounds in seconds. You can let m-"
He was interrupted by a small snicker, "Magical wishes, miracle recoveries; you live in a fairy tail, Gohan. But even if it's true: I've nothing left to live for; I'll probably waste the extra time I'm given. No worries, I'll be at peace when death finally greets me…" his eyes turned sad, "My son; Yama-Ha - he always got himself into trouble because of his big mouth. I'd never been a good example - I admit - but when he got himself involved with Satan City's drugs industry, I knew it would end badly if I didn't intervene… but instead I got involved myself. And now he lies dead behind me." His sad face turned into a half-hearted smile, "And I need to follow; even if that means I'll have to go to hell for it."
"Are you absolutely sure you don't want me to help you?"
"I do want you to help me," Hodaka said with seriousness in his voice, "Please, end my suffering. It's been three days…"
"I see," Gohan replied hesitantly, not fond of what was requested of him, yet he knew he couldn't leave the man like this, "I guess you already made up your mind about it..."
Relief fell over Hodaka's face and a smile appeared on his lips, "Thank you… I know it isn't fair to ask, but I'll be forever grateful."
"Wait… are you guys talking about what I think you are talking about?" Stapler finally spoke up, his voice trembling.
Hodaka turned his head to the new sound and smirked, "Well… If it isn't our informant…" He then turned back to Gohan, "Be careful, he's the one who told us you might be Saiyaman. You shouldn't trust him." Another cough of blood escaped his lips.
"I know, he told me," Gohan replied, "That's why we're here."
Again, the biker looked up, this time in surprise, "So you are Saiyaman then?"
Gohan stood up, "Yeah, that's right. I don't know why this Carmine thought otherwise, but you were actually on the right track to get me, and I'm truly sorry it cost you your lives…" He meant what he said; no one deserved to be treated like this. Now shifting to the side out of view of Hodaka and with a heavy feeling in his stomach he said, "Whenever you're ready." He raised his hand and pointed his finger at the man.
The wounded man smiled, "Well, I had it coming right?" Then he tried to sit a bit more up, turning his face to the sunlight that slipped through the hole in the wall. After the jolt of pain subsided, he closed his eyes and basked in the warm feeling the sun gave him. He inhaled and mumbled, "I'm ready to see my son now." Soon after there was a light flash and his body became limp.
"I hope you'll find your peace," Gohan said in a sad tone and he let his arm fall to his side. He knew he did the man a favor, and even though it wasn't his first time, he knew he'd never get used to ending someone's suffering like this.
He needed some fresh air; the smell of decay was unbearable and the action he'd just committed fuelled his nausea. He walked over to the hole in the wall and with a kick he made it big enough to step through. Once outside, he welcomed the fresh air into his lungs with a deep breath and looked around. He knew this place was deserted, though it wasn't where Videl was held.
When Stapler positioned himself standing next to him, Gohan spoke up, "Alright, I know a man who might have some information on this Carmine. Or at least… I hope so. Either way, let's move on."
"D-Did you just kill that guy?" Stapler was still in shock: what was that light? How did the nerd do that? And why did he stay so calm with the whole situation? They were both witnesses of a brutal crime scene for crying out loud!
"All I did was honor a dying man's last request," Gohan simply replied. But when he saw the jock's disgusted expression he added, "I offered the man recovery, but he refused. I couldn't leave him knowing he'd be meeting a terrible and painful death."
"You could've just ignored his wishes and helped him anyway," Stapler spoke up, still not comprehending why and how the friendly nerd of his class could do such a thing.
Gohan frowned a little, "I'm one that honors a person's wishes; it would've been selfish to disrespect him like that." If he had been like that seven years ago, he would've still had his father around, Gohan thought, but he knew he could never go against his father's will and wish him back to life. There was no honor in that.
After a silence fell, the half-Saiyan looked up with a somewhat sympathetic expression, "Look, I didn't know the whole situation was this bad. I'm sorry I dragged you into this and even more so that you'd have to witness that; no one should. But the thing is, I can't afford to lose any more time and I need to go to Capsule Corp. From there you can go back to Satan City on your own, I'll make sure your costs are covered."
"Why are you so calm? How can this not freak you out?"
Gohan's expression tensed up, "Don't get me wrong, I hate seeing this as much as you do… But believe me when I say it can be much - much - worse. As much as I hate to admit it, seeing dead bodies and the accompanied violence was sadly part of my childhood. I guess I got hardened to it because of that."
"What kind of fucked up childhood did you have?!" Stapler exclaimed in disgust.
"One I don't like to talk about," Gohan warned, "Just forget what I said… It's all in the past now anyway and I'd rather look at the things that lay in the future. I prefer a simple life." Then he walked over to the still shocked jock and gave him a head gesture, "Now, come on, let's go; the one who did this has most likely Videl captured… and I could never forgive myself if something happened to her."
Understanding the urgency for them to get a move on, Stapler reluctantly climbed on Gohan's back and they took off. The whole flight they remained silent; both not knowing what to say to the other. After a while their destination came into view and as usual, Gohan landed on the main balcony.
"Bulma?" Gohan asked as he stepped inside, followed by his travel partner, "Bulma, I need to talk to Habas… Where can I find him?"
The blue-haired scientist looked around the corner and was surprised to not only see Gohan, but another teen as well. "Hey Kiddo, uh - let me check the employee schedule," she hastily replied, understanding the urgency right away, and rushed to her laptop at the dinner table. And while she got to work, she eyed her godson, "I hope you're suppressing your power level… Vegeta is in a bad mood and he-" The door flew open, making everyone turn their head, "-is here…" Bulma finished, rolling her eyes.
"Risot!"
"Vegeta…"
"Don't think you're getting out of that fight with me now that the tournament is canceled. You owe me one!"
"The tournament's been canceled?" Gohan raised an eyebrow. Somehow he felt like he'd heard it before, but couldn't remember when. It didn't matter; he had more important things to take care of.
"That fraud managed to lose control of his teen daughter - she probably ran away or something - and now he refuses to participate. And apparently he has such a popularity that they are afraid that the audience numbers will remain too low. As if that's the most important thing nowadays… It's pathetic."
Gohan frowned, "As if that tournament is that serious itself… Sorry Vegeta, I've got more important things to do."
"You are not going to walk away from our match!"
"Look, Videl hasn't run away, someone has abducted her and I need to find out where she is. And maybe it's your lucky day and will they reschedule that stupid tournament for you when she is safe and sound again."
Now it was Vegeta's turn to raise an eyebrow, "Don't tell me your mate is that weakling's daughter…"
"She's much stronger than her old man, alright; and it so happens that she is his daughter. I didn't get to choose her relatives."
"Where is your pride?!"
Gohan balled his fists to contain his raising anger as Bulma stepped between the two, "Guys! This is not the time…" She scowled at her husband to back off, then faced Gohan, "You're in luck, Habas is working at dad's menagerie at the moment, tending to his exotic pets. I called Trunks to bring him here."
Now focusing his full attention back at Bulma and ignoring Vegeta, "Thanks, you are the best. Have you found anything else on Videl?"
Bulma gave him a defeated look, "Sorry Kiddo, I really did what I could…" Then her eyes fell to the ground and raised an eyebrow, "What's that?"
Gohan followed her head gesture and saw that he and Stapler had left some bloody footprints on the white marble floor. "Sorry, we stumbled on a crime scene along the w-"
"A crime scene?" Bulma interrupted him, putting her hands on her hips, "You know you're supposed to be at your apartment right now! What if they find your footprints at that crime scene and the police link two and two together?! And beyond that, make us part of it too, for crying out loud. For a smart kid you really can be reckless sometimes." Bulma irritably put out her hand, "Give me your shoes," and scowled at Stapler too, "Both of you."
Gohan gave her an apologetic look and did what he was ordered, "Sorry, I'll clean it up."
"No, you go and get yourselves another pair of shoes, I'll make sure no evidence is left behind." She walked over to the jock, "Can I have yours please?"
For the first time since he got there, Stapler hesitantly spoke up, "What do you need them for?"
"I'm going to burn them," the blue-haired scientist simply answered.
"But these are-"
"-evidence to a crime scene you two weren't supposed to be. So I ask you again: Give. Me. Your. Shoes." Her firm voice was almost icy; no one dared to go against her commands when she was like this. And even though he didn't want to, the jock took off his shoes and gave them to her.
Stapler watched as his shoes were carried away by Bulma and when she disappeared behind a door he looked back at Gohan, but the nerd wasn't there anymore. There he stood with only his socks on in the living room of the Brief family, and the only person who was left was this angry-looking guy grabbing a Hetap out of his fridge.
In the meantime, a robot was cleaning their bloody footprints.
"So…" the brown-haired teen awkwardly tried to start a conversation, "If I can give you any advice: it's unwise to make the guy angry." Without a word, Vegeta passed by and sat on the couch, throwing his feet on the side table as Stapler was determined to break the silence, "Seriously, the dude looks like a nerd, but he's stronger than he looks." Again he received no reaction and after the unpleasant silence continued, he mumbled as he tapped his hands against his sides to ease his discomfort, "You are a man of few words I notice…"
"I don't associate with weaklings," Vegeta gruffed.
"Weakling?!" Stapler repeated, offended, "I do happen to be the second best boxer of Orange Star High."
"And I can kill you with the flick of a finger nonetheless," Vegeta threatened. "So let me give you some advice: if you want to see tomorrow, shut the hell up and let me enjoy my break in silence."
Immediately Stapler saw the images of today flash by: Gohan did kill someone by only pointing his finger at him… Maybe this guy could as well. And from the sound of it, his threat was probably serious. Stapler swallowed; why did he always need to look for somebody's limits? To push their buttons? Didn't he learn his lesson from that hallway incident?
His thoughts were interrupted as a kid with lavender-colored hair and a lanky guy with a white dress shirt, his sleeves rolled up just above his elbows, walked in. "Who are you?" the kid asked, confused, not having seen the jock before, "And where's mom?"
Stapler fumbled with his hands, still feeling uncomfortable by the threat he just received, "I'm - uh - a friend of Gohan. And your mother is burning shoes."
Trunks raised an eyebrow, "You're weird."
After his comment, again an awkward silence fell, but it was soon broken by Gohan entering the room. He now was dressed in his Gi, one Stapler had seen during P.E. once, but now without the undershirt. The jock swallowed, he knew his nerdy classmates had muscles - his uncovered arms when wearing a short sleeved T-shirt was a dead giveaway - but his neckline on his Gi was so low that he even could make out the guy had some serious abs as well; how he'd greatly underestimated him.
"Habas, nice to see you again, I see that you've grown out your hair a bit," Gohan tried to give him a friendly and open smile, even if he didn't feel like smiling at this moment. "How is your daughter?"
"Yeah, I was too recognizable with my shaved head," The lanky man scratched his still short hair and smiled back, "Bulma has been a great help, Clara had even been able to get out of her bed and into her wheelchair with the new treatment. I cannot thank ya enough for givin' me a second chance." Gohan nodded in acknowledgement but let the herpetologist speak, "Ya look much healthier yourself. I still cannot fathom how ya were able to survive that poisoning."
Gohan smiled shyly, "As you said, Bulma has been a great help. Without her I wouldn't be standing here fully recovered at this point. That said, I need to talk to you about the criminal organization that you worked for."
A serious expression appeared on Habas' face and his eyes darted to the other members in the room, especially the kid.
Understanding his concerns, Gohan turned his attention to the young one, "Trunks, thanks for bringing him here, you can go now."
"Ah! C'mon, now when it finally gets interesting!"
"Trunks!" his mother scowled; apparently she'd entered the room as well, "You should go back and help your grandfather finish feeding his dinosaurs. You know what happened last time; even though he is a genius, he cannot be left alone with those dangerous beasts."
"But..."
"No buts young man; you need to take responsibility and keep your grandpa safe."
Standing up straight and giving her a salute, he shouted, "Yes, Ma'am!" and ran back to where he came from.
"What about your friend?" Bulma asked Gohan, unsure if the guy should be in the conversation too.
"He isn't my friend," Gohan replied harshly, "But he has been through enough to have the right to know as well." Then he faced the former criminal, "Do you know anyone by the name of Carmine?"
Habas' face turned pale, his eyes shot to Bulma and back at Gohan, "Yeah, I've met her once. After I managed to break into Capsule Corp."
Some hope came back running through the half-Saiyan's veins, "Please, tell me everything you know. Who is she, where can I find her, and why does she hate Saiyaman so much?"
A half-hearted snicker left Habas' mouth, "Well, because ya thwarted her shady business; she can't sell shit since ya started fightin' crime in Satan City."
Gohan folded his arms, "Sell what?"
"Mainly drugs. They use their legitimate pharmacy business to cover it - to avoid suspicion - but the main money they get is from the production and distribution of drugs. I think their top product is Heroin. They are really organized and I think pretty much all crime in Sat'n City can be traced back to them."
"So who is Boss in this organization?" Gohan asked, wanting to know how they operate.
Readjusting his glasses, Habas thought for a moment, "Hm, I was only asked to find a way to poison you." He again looked apologetically at the teen, "But from what I understood they had divided Sat'n City into districts, and Boss is the head of one of those districts."
"Okay, I'm confused," Bulma interrupted, "Who's the boss of who now?"
Habas shrugged, "He uses his surname, which is Boss. I do admit it's quite confusin', though he lives up to his name."
"And what about Carmine?" Gohan asked eagerly.
"Don't tell me…" Bulma sighed and replied, even though the question wasn't aimed at her. "Carmine is a neutral deep-red pigment extracted from crushed cochineal insects. Please, don't tell me this pharmacy you're talking about is by any chance Red Pharmaceuticals?"
"That was the pharmacy that led us to Boss," Gohan admitted, "Why?"
Bulma shook her head, "Red Pharmaceuticals is the only thing that remained of the Red Ribbon Army; back then it was the most feared and ruthless militaristic crime organization. Though, it was a long time ago - your dad and I were only kids at that point - that they were trying to enforce world domination. They failed of course, Goku made sure of that," Bulma smirked while she said that, and continued, "Their leader however was Commander Red."
And where is this Commander Red?" Gohan asked intrigued.
"I believed was killed by his Staff Officer," Bulma shrugged, "Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if Carmine is a relative of his, given her name and suspected ties to Red Pharmaceuticals."
Gohan frowned as he digested the information. It kind of made sense that Bulma was on to, but even though this information was useful, it wasn't what he wanted to know, "Where can I find her?"
Habas looked back at him, his face serious, "I'm not sure. When she requested a meeting with me, she was eager to know how I got into Capsule Corp. I didn't tell her the details - only that I used the guided tour to sneak in. Anyway, I remember her talkin' to one of her employees before she turned her attention to me - about a hideout she wanted to build in a desert area near her father's old headquarters - wherever that is - and that she needed something for it that was held here."
"The Dragon Ball," Bulma sighed, "She probably wished herself a hideout."
"Makes sense," Gohan replied a bit relieved, glad that - if it was true - one of the wishes wasn't that bad. "But you have no idea where it is?"
"Maybe I do," Bulma replied and she walked to her laptop and opened the world map. "If what you say is true and Red really is her father, then it might be around the Red Ribbon's old headquarters, which was here," she pointed at the map. " You said she wanted to build hers in a desert area? There's one over the mountain range to the south, so I presume it's somewhere there."
"But that's an awful long way from Satan City…" Everybody looked up when the jock suddenly spoke, having forgotten that he was actually there. "Why would they build a hideout there, when they have their business on the other side of the world?"
"Other side of the map," Bulma corrected him, "The world is round… I think from where we think the hideout is, it's a bit over an hour of a plane flight to Satan City, three by a fast boat. And from there, West City would be a nice addition to expand their shady business, so I guess it's a quite smart move."
Gohan stood up straight, "Thank you, Habas, for your time and honesty," then he walked in the direction of the balcony.
"Where-" Bulma began, looking over her shoulders at Gohan, but was answered immediately by her godson.
"Following up this lead. I'll keep you informed." And with that he ran outside and leaped into the air.
Finally traveling alone, Gohan was able to fly with much higher speeds as he moved Southwest to the area Bulma talked about. With every mile passing, he got more and more the feeling that his destination was the right one; even if it was just false hope, it was at least something to hold on to. If this Carmine wasn't the one holding her, then she probably knew who was, considering her criminal network she had.
"Risot!"
Gohan frowned upon hearing his Saiyan-name. He sighed; not him… He didn't feel like dealing with Vegeta right now. Couldn't he understand he had more important things on his mind then that stupid tournament or any rematch for that matter?
Now flying beside him, Gohan couldn't help but to look at the Saiyan Prince, but he was surprised to see he wasn't alone.
"Next time you visit, take your trash with you." Vegeta gruffly said, and nonchalantly threw the terrified jock in his direction.
"What the-" Gohan exclaimed, firstly shocked Vegeta actually brought him along, but then needed to rush down to catch the now freefalling and screaming Stapler before he would hit the ground. When he came at Vegeta's eye level again - the trembling jock thrown now over his shoulder - he scowled, "Are you crazy?! He was supposed to go back to Satan City! Where I'm heading is no place for him. These criminals mean business, it's too dangerous!"
"I don't care; I don't want this pathetic excuse of a human in my house," Vegeta simply replied, but instead of heading back, he continued to follow. Gohan just clicked his tongue with annoyance, but didn't say anything about it and they continued their journey in silence.
Not long after, they arrived at the desert-like area that Bulma had mentioned and began to search the grounds below. For a while, nothing out of the ordinary was happening, but then Gohan felt it: her Ki. It was just a short moment, but she definitely was in this area. Though, as soon as it appeared, it became muffled and untraceable again.
Confused, Gohan stared in the direction he thought her Ki came from. Then Vegeta raised an eyebrow in surprise, "Is that her?" Gohan just nodded as a reply, as Vegeta continued while smirking, "She got a lot stronger than the last time I saw her, I'll give her that. You've been training her, haven't you?"
"I gave her some Ki-lessons, yes," Gohan answered, still scanning the area her Ki had disappeared to.
"And why are we still hovering? Shouldn't you need to go after that Ki?" Vegeta asked, crossing his arms, "I thought you were so eager to save your precious little damsel in distress."
Gohan frowned; was he mocking him? "I would, but I can't locate it anymore. But I guess heading in that direction is better than staying here." He could only hope he would feel her Ki once more.
The Saiyan Prince snickered, "You're saying you cannot feel her Ki right now? What kind of a Saiyan are you?" But seeing Gohan's confused but angry expression he added, "It's coming from that direction, not that far from here."
"How do you know? To me it's muffled… I cannot locate it at all, though I do feel she's still around."
"Maybe your human side is clouding your basic instincts again. Disappointing; I hoped you would have embraced your Saiyan-side a bit more after your recovery."
Now being triggered by the angry man's words, Stapler intently followed the conversation between the two. What did he mean by 'his human side'? And what other sides could his classmate possibly have? Was he schizophrenic or something? Did he have multiple personalities which he still had to control? And what the fuck is a Saiyan? No, the guy probably meant Saiya, from Saiyaman. That would be it. Right?
Gohan sighed irritably, "Just lead the way." He didn't feel like arguing at the moment, but he did wonder why Vegeta was able to feel her Ki and he wasn't. Either way, he followed the full-blooded Saiyan and when he landed at a strategic point amidst some boulders, he did the same and - after putting Stapler down - they both peaked over the edge.
Gohan was surprised to see some activity in the deserted area and both men observed it for a while. There were a handful of men with weapons protecting the area. Two were guarding the door of a very small building; too small for a hide-out - especially for one of a very big organization. It looked more like a one vehicle garage. But Gohan knew you shouldn't judge a book by its cover; whatever lay behind that door, it was probably worth protecting. Would Videl be in there?
Their attention was caught by a terrain vehicle approaching the entrance. After some communication with the guards, the men from the vehicle transferred their load into a designated container and after some procedures the door was opened.
Gohan's eyes shot wide; there it was again - her Ki! She certainly was in there. Though, strangely enough it still felt like she was at least 10 miles away.
"I guess their hide-out is somewhere far underground," Vegeta answered Gohan's confused expression. "This gateway is probably the entrance of it all." Then he made a head gesture in the direction of a guard closeby. Without warning Vegeta vanished - using his superspeed - and re-appeared with said guard held firmly in his arms, his mouth covered. "He's all yours."
Gohan shook his head to snap himself into reality, understanding what Vegeta was after. Now focusing on the task at hand, he walked over to the guard and with a firm voice he made himself clear, "You're going to answer some questions. If you raise any alarm, my friend here may do what he wants with you. If you comply, I'll make sure he won't." His eyes shot unwillingly to Vegeta, who nodded in support. Now giving their captive his full attention again, he continued, "Understood?"
The man nodded.
Now, tentatively releasing the hand that was pressed on the guard's mouth, Vegeta whispered his own warning, "One wrong move, and you're a dead man."
The guard swallowed, "W-What do you want?"
"We are looking for Videl Satan. Where is she?" Gohan's anger rose now he was this close.
"Somewhere deep below in one of the confinement rooms."
Now grabbing his shirt, Gohan scowled, "And how do I get there?"
"I don't know, I-I've never been inside!" the man's voice trembled, "Look, I've a wife and children. Please let me go."
"Who do you work for? And are they also there?"
"Y-Yes, she is there too; C-Carmine."
"Alright, that's all I need to know," Gohan said and gave Vegeta a sign, who immediately knocked out the guard with a neck jab and let the unconscious body fall to the stone floor.
Looking shocked at the man lying in front of him, Stapler finally dared to speak, although barely audible, "D-Did you kill him?"
"No," Gohan answered him, "He is only knocked out."
"So what's your plan, Risot?" Vegeta asked, curious of what the half-breed would do.
"And why are you calling him Risot all the time?" Stapler continued, although now being ignored.
Gohan stood up straight and without any hesitation he replied, "I'm going in." He was this close, and he wouldn't leave without her. He was done wasting time.
"Are you crazy?! These guys have weapons!" Stapler exclaimed, "Maybe we need to inform the military or something."
Without a reply, Gohan leapt over the boulders they were hiding behind and cautiously made his way to the entrance. There he waited until the doors opened again and, without much effort, he overpowered the guards and snuck in.
And as the door closed - making Gohan disappear from view - Stapler mumbled, "Yep, he really is crazy…"
Important note:
So my Carmine is not the same Carmine as in the movies :) - Sorry about that.
