'Aniue was alive,' was the first thought that went through his
head. The teenager went almost giddy with that knowledge.

Then the elation ended as swiftly as it came. Aniue was alive and
had never come back. His eyes narrowed with that knowledge. Anger
replaced the joy was fast as the giddiness had came.

"Why," he wanted to ask. "Why did you never come back? We waited
for you. _I_ waited for you after everyone else stopped. I lost
Hahaue because of you!"

But he didn't. Not a word he wanted to say passed his lips and what
was left was simply heartache and a sense of acute betrayal.
