Before Emma knows it, she is outside and quickly walking away from Regina's house and down the street, with tears falling down her face.
She then, wipes them away. Whilst thinking, I valued our friendship more than anything and now, it's never going to be the same again. All because I couldn't control myself and kissed her.
I'm such an idiot, she then says out loud and groans. Before, coming to the bottom of the road.
She then, decides to turn left. to head towards the towns centre in need of a strong drink.
However, as she passes the Diner, she hears Ruby call out to her.
"Hey Emma"
She then stops, and takes a deep breath, before turning to face the waitress.
"Hey" she replies back sadly.
"Are you alright? you look sad. Did something happen at your family dinner?" Ruby asks in concern.
"I've done something really stupid" Emma replies with a sigh and puts her face in her hands.
"I'm sure, it's not as bad as you think, come inside. I'll make you your favourite"
"I think, I'm in need something stronger"
Ruby shakes her head.
"That won't help, believe me. Come on" she takes Emma's arm and leads her into the diner.
Where Emma sits at the counter and Ruby makes her a hot chocolate with cinnamon.
And moments later, Ruby places the drink in front of her and says, "This is about Regina, isn't it?"
Emma sighs.
"Did you tell her how you feel?" Ruby then asks simply.
"No" Emma huffs.
"Oh, then what's the problem?"
"If you must know, I kissed her" Emma then snaps and Ruby smiles.
"And what happened after you kissed her?" Ruby asks eagerly.
"Nothing. I ran out"
"Why did you do that?" Ruby frowns.
"I panicked okay. This is such a mess. I've ruined our friendship, because of a stupid crush"
"You don't know that. You need to talk to her"
"I wouldn't know what to say" she then replies and stares sadly into her mug.
Ten minutes later, Regina walks into the diner, and lets out a sigh of relief.
Ruby had messaged her, and told her Emma was here.
She then, walks up to the counter and next to where Emma is sitting.
"Emma" she says quietly and Emma's head snaps op and to the woman next to her.
She looks surprised to see the mayor.
"We don't have to do this Regina" she says anxiously and stands up. "Please, just let us forget what happened" she then adds, and steps back.
Regina then frowns, and she thinks Emma might run away again, so she reaches forward and takes Emma's hand within her own.
"Is that what you really want?" she asks sadly, and Emma sighs, whilst looking down at their joined hands.
"Maybe"
"Can you, tell me why you kissed me?" Regina then asks softly, and Emma looks up, meeting Regina's deep brown eyes.
"Is it not obvious why?" she answers seriously.
"I want you to say it"
"But If I say it, it will ruin everything"
"I promise that whatever you say, will not ruin anything" Regina then tells her seriously and Emma swallows thickly.
"Okay. Well, um, I... I really like you. More than like, really" she bites her lip and Regina smirks.
"Eloquent as always dear" she then replies sarcastically, and Emma rolls her eyes playfully.
"What I'm trying to say, is that I have feelings for you. It's okay, if you don't feel the same" Emma then tells Regina, whilst her heart beats faster within her chest and Regina, then squeezes Emma's hand and brings her other hand up to Emma's cheek and she looks into Emma's eyes.
"You're not alone in your feelings dear. I feel the same" she replies softly with a wide smile, and she then leans in, capturing Emma's lips with her own.
The kiss was gentle and sweet, and they could hear Ruby whopping.
Both Regina and Emma then smile into the kiss.
However, when air becomes necessary, they pull apart and Regina leans her forehead against Emma's.
"Wow" Emma whispers and Regna smiles.
"Wow indeed"
"What does this mean for us?" Emma then asks, as she leans back to look into Regina's deep brown eyes.
"I think, we should head back to mine and have a talk in private"
"Yeah" Emma smiles "I'd like that" she adds and before she knows it, they are back at Regina's house, and they are standing in the kitchen.
"Jeez, that's the second time today you've done that, and It doesn't get any better" Emma huffs.
"Maybe, a kiss would make you feel better" Regina smiles, as she steps into Emma's space and takes her in her arms.
"Yes please" Emma grins and Regina pecks her on the lips.
"Feel better?" Regina then asks with a smirk, as Emma pouts.
"A little, but I was expecting a kiss, kiss"
Regina chuckles.
"You're such a child sometimes" she then says and leans in, giving Emma a passionate kiss.
Which then, leads to more kisses and touching, and as soon as Emma places her hands on Regina's ass the mayor pulls away.
"Sorry, too much too soon?" Emma asks, whilst biting her lip.
"A little. I don't want us rushing things, when we haven't talked about what we want from each other, and we have Henry to consider.
Emma smiles.
"I understand Regina. We've got all the time in the world and I'm sure Henry, will be happy for us. I'm sure of it"
"I hope your right because if he doesn't agree. I don't know what we are going to do" Regina frowns.
"It will be okay. I just know it" Emma then wraps her arms around Reigna and as she's leaning in for a kiss. They are interrupted by their surprised son.
"I knew it" he says rather proudly and both Regina and Emma pull away from one another and snap their heads towards him.
"What did you know?" Regina asks, anxiously.
"That something was going on with you two. I couldn't figure it out at first, as you both were both acting weird around each other and kept staring at one another. So, I spoke to Violet about it, and she told me you two really liked each other and it all become obvious. Why didn't you tell me?"
Both Regina and Emma swallow thickly.
"We didn't know, we had feelings for one another, until like ten minutes ago" Emma then chuckles and Regina asks, "How do you feel about that?" whilst holding her breath.
"It's great"
"Really? your cool with me dating your mom?" Emma then says with a smile.
"Yeah, you both deserve to be happy and it's pretty obvious that you make each other happy, So..." he trails off and Regina then steps forward and hugs Henry.
"Can't breathe" Henry then splutters out and Regina pulls back.
"Sorry, you're just growing up so fast" she kisses his forehead and Emma smiles at the scene in front of her.
"Can I get ice cream?" he then asks and suddenly, Emma remembers that Henry had been at her parents.
"Why are you not still with my parents?" she asks.
"Things out awkward after you both left" Henry explains.
"How?" Regina asks with a frown.
"Well, Killian wasn't happy that mom came and took you away" he gestures to Emma and adds "he said some pretty bad stuff about you mom, so I told him to shut up and I think, grandma got upset about it as well, because she started defending you and David ended up chucking him out of the house"
Both Regina and Emma stood dumbfounded, at what Henry had just told them.
"He is an ass" Henry then says seriously and both Regina and Emma, couldn't agree more.
"I would normally say, watch your language young man, but I'll let it slide this time" Regina then says with a smile and Henry grins.
"Thanks mom. So, can I get some ice cream?" he then asks eagerly and Regina sighs.
"Okay. But after you've changed and tidied your room"
"Mom" Henry then whines, and he turns and walks off, leaving Regina and Emma alone.
They then, turn to one another.
"That went better than I expected" Emma says happily.
"Yes, we have raised him well"
"Don't you mean, you raised him well"
"Well, you've been raising him with me, these past few years dear"
Emma smiles at this and reaches her hand out to hold Regina's hand.
"Will you be staying for a while?" Regina then asks softly, as she squeezes Regina's hand. She doesn't want Emma to leave just yet.
"Yeah, I'll stay as long as you want me too"
"Thats good, because I plan on opening my best bottle of wine in celebration"
"Celebration?" Emma quirks an eyebrow.
"Yes. To us, to our new beginning" she smiles widely at Emma and the blonde, can't help but gather the woman up in her arms and kiss her.
