Megan and her boyfriend Sylvester just pulled up to the garage and parked when he started to panic.
Sylvester- "Oh my goodness I can't do this, what if he hates me?"
Megan- "You will be fine he's not a mean guy. He may be a little stand offish but that's because of his IQ. He loves facts and numbers and computers so you should be fine."
Not 15 feet away inside Walter is doing much the same thing and Paige is doing her best to calm him down.
Paige- "First things first once you meet him find out what the issue is and see what you can do break everything down logically like I know you will and just worry about that once we start supper Megan and I will be there to help you both out."
Finally Megan and Sylvester walked in and after all the introductions we're made Walter lead the way to his desk to try and figure out what is going on and what he can do. Sylvester explained that the owner of the accounting firm is having him syphon a fraction of a sent off of every account and transfer it through a few different banks to a final account that totalled around 8 million dollars. As Walter was going through everything he said" You did a very precise job with this if it wasn't illegal it would be great and so far everything looks like you have set up the perfect crime. None of the account holders would see anything out of the ordinary as the syphon takes place after any transactions." Sylvester replied with "Thank you, I tend to get lost in the numbers and I really need this job so that's why I have been doing it. I don't want to but I have a lot of issues with OCD and phobias and he was the first one to not look at me has a freak, he is also my uncle." At this time Paige and Megan were over at Paige's desk getting to know each other and Paige said "Sylvester, you are not a freak everyone has some degree of OCD and phobias, when I get to doing a deep clean in my apartment I'll be at it for hours and it when I'm done it looks cleaner than it was when I got it. Megan added "And you know my fear of spiders."
Walter- "So Sly, I figured out a way to fix this what we can do is reverse your code so that it syphons off the end account and transfers the back to the original accounts."
Sylvester- "That's great thank you but what did you call me?"
Walter- "Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you I just thought that this code you wrote was pretty sly and thought it was fitting to shorten your name because the first 3 letters are the same."
Sylvester- "It's alright I kind of like it."
At this time Ralph and Abigail had come down and while Abigail went over to Megan and Paige, Ralph ventured over to Walter and Sly and asked "That would work but as soon as the owner sees the money going away so you would have to transfer the money to another account so the code will syphon the money back but you will always have to create a code to show ghost transactions to continue to deposit in the bosses account. If he notices the money not coming in as much it will raise suspicion. Also you would have to create a bonus fund and title for the money to go back otherwise people will question why they are getting more money in their accounts so you would have to make like a cash back or a loyalty program." Walter looked over with so much pride at Ralph while Sylvester looked over with shock as someone so young who is so smart.
Paige called them over for supper and everyone was at ease. To an outsider it looked like a comfortable family dinner, Walter and Sly were getting along great. Ralph took to Megan and Sylvester like an aunt and uncle Abigail was loving it because she felt like she had a big brother that loved and looked out for her and for the longest time she didn't have a mother and her dad seemed so sad and would not interact as much as she hoped. Now Paige had stepped in as the perfect mom because dad was so much happier and played with her more. Paige had always wanted a sibling for Ralph and a father who loved and adored him. Ralph's real father was no more than a sperm donor as soon as he found out Paige was pregnant the plume of dust behind him would put a tornado to shame and any other guy she dated was never interested in Ralph as more than a hindrance or an obstacle to getting her in bed.
After supper Ralph and Sylvester went to play some chess, Abigail and Walter were sitting at his desk coloring while Megan helped Paige clean up from supper. As it was getting late and the kids needed to get to bed and everyone was getting ready to go their separate ways to go home. Walter pulled Sylvester aside and asked "I know that you are working for your uncle but once this new code goes into effect he will start to suspect you so if you would like I would like to offer you a job at Scorpion Computer Services. You are more than qualified and the way you are with numbers and abilities you would fit in perfect here." Sylvester who was surprised never expecting this stuttered and said "I would love to work for you. You and Paige and the kids have made me not focus on my phobias and I have never felt this relaxed." Walter replied "Well tomorrow I'll have Paige get all the paperwork done and over to you so you can start on Monday!"
