Naomi texted Jeremy to meet her at the park before placing her phone in her front left pocket and teleorted to the park crossroads. While waiting, Naomi eyed an evergreen sapling around 4 inches tall. After touching it, the sapling seemed to grow by 2 inches. Naomi drew her hands back and stared at the sapling in disbelief.
"It is pretty weird to imagine something that small can get to be so big huh?" Odd remarked.
Naomi jumped up at the sound of Odd's voice.
"Y-yeah, 'specially when ya touch it for a few seconds and it grows a couple a inches." Naomi stuttered.
"All that fighting's really gotten to you, maybe a video game might help." Odd assured.
"Watch." Naomi ordered.
As she touched the sapling again, the plant grew 3 inches in height this time. After turning around, Naomi saw the others were baffled just as much as she was a second ago. While walking to the Hermitage, the Einstein couple was holding hands, along with Ulrich and Yumi. Odd was whistling with his hands behind his head.
"You do realize you broke him right?" Yumi commented.
"No, he hasn't moved onta another girl yet?" Naomi queried.
"He's been thinking about you so much he hasn't thought about anyone else." Yumi confirmed.
"That much? Ugh, I just feel like I should find someone with Septima's or somethin so they won't get in trouble." Naomi stated.
"So you'll take him back?" Yumi hoped.
"I'll think bout it. I mean, he's not the first guy's heart I broke." Naomi teased.
"So you'll take me back?" Odd smiled.
"I said I'd think bout it. Well, since you're workin with me 'gainst the Sumeragi so I guess." Naomi surrendered.
Odd jumped as he pumped his right fist in the air before placing his right arm around Naomi's shoulders while walking next to her. Naomi rolled her eyes as she ruffled Odd's hair with her left hand before putting his hoodie over his head and laughing.
"My sanity's just a sick game to you isn't it?" Odd noticed.
"Aw, cheer up man, maybe you'll win next time." Naomi joked.
Odd pouted.
"It's not as if she beat your monster count on Lyoko." Yumi mocked.
"Ya know, now that I think bout it, Xana mighta been tellin the truth." Naomi pondered.
"How so?" Jeremy asked.
"Xana said Viper was revived. The Sumeragi has revival tech. Not ta mention they took over the supercomputer along with Lyoko itself. It's likely they somehow revived Viper through the supercomputer." Naomi theorized.
"That could explain it. We'd better hope that's the answer. Otherwise, Franz is most likely going to delete Xana." Aelita commented.
After entering the Hermitage, everyone entered the living room.
"Hello everyone, is there a problem?" Franz greeted.
"Um, actually we think there is." Naomi guaranteed.
"We think the Sumeragi used the supercomputer to revive Viper." Aelita added.
"I see, I'll check the supercomputer later. It's possible Tyron may have had a hand in Viper's revival." Franz pondered.
"I wonder which a those theories would be worse." Naomi muttered to Odd.
"Well, since we've got some time to kill, does anyone have an idea as to what we should do?" Yumi wondered.
"If anyone needs me I'mma be thinkin bout where I went wrong in ma life." Naomi notified.
"You didn't go wrong anywhere in your life Naomi. The circumstances and conditions people are born under vary. Yours, well, yours just so happened to be a little worse than usual." Odd assured.
"But I coulda done things different. I coulda ran from S-FIT, assumed a new identity an all sorts aother stuff. Heck cuttin maself off from all this mess sounds awesome right bout now." Naomi sighed.
"You didn't know what you were doing was wrong." Jeremy stated.
"Besides, it's not worrying about the past that's important but what you can do in the future." Odd quoted.
"Wow Odd, that was deep." Ulrich commented.
"Thanks, I saw it on a movie." Odd grinned.
Naomi rolled her eyes as Odd fixed his hair from her ruffling it earlier. After spotting what appeared to be a container of hair gel Odd removed from his backpack, Naomi got an idea.
"Ya know Odd, I saw some a that expensive Kasara brand hair gel at a mall not too far from my place on sale; I could pick ya some up." Naomi offered.
"Now that you mention it, I am running out. Sure, I'll take some." Odd agreed.
Naomi teleported in an alley and walked to the mall. After buying a container of the hair gel, she bought a bottle of clear glue and a box of plastic zip bags. naomi teleported to the girl's bathrooms at Kadic, placed the hair gel in one of the bags, put the clear glue in the hair gel container and went back to the others. After handing Odd the container, he tried out the "gel". Naomi appeared to be having a tough time trying not to laugh so she bit her lip.
"There's a weird residue on my hands, is that normal?" Odd worried.
"Maybe it expiered, it was on sale after all. Weird though since it's an expensive brand." Naomi lied.
"Aw man, now my hair has that film on it too." Odd complained.
Naomi couldn't keep quiet anymore and started laughing.
"Gotcha! I replaced the gel in the container with clear washable glue! Haha! Aw man, I dunno which looks funnier, your face or your head!" Naomi laughed.
Yumi, Aelita, Ulrich, Jeremy and Naomi were all laughing.
"That was so wrong, remind me not to trust you with my grocery list." Odd huffed.
"Well someone's gotta keep ya in line." Naomi commented.
"And who better than an ex Sumeragi worker herself." Odd muttered.
"Bingo." Naomi smirked.
"I suppose now would be as good a time as any to check on the supercomputer." Franz supposed.
"I'll stay back an guard Ms. Anthea. If anyone so much s blinks the idea of harming her, they'll get a taste a defeat, times ten!" Naomi added while making a forward punching motion in the air.
"Huh? Did I miss something?" Odd wondered.
"I've got ten Septima's now actually. I've got that unnamed plant Septima." Naomi stated.
"What!? But how did you figure that out?" Odd queried.
"Come on, I know ya got at least one brain cell in that gap between your ears. The sapling earlier, remember?" Naomi retorted.
"So the Septima must've been implanted recently." Jeremy stated.
"But my thing is, who the heck did it?" Naomi pondered.
"What about your dad?" Yumi queried.
"I wouldn't put it past him, I'll have ta look inta that." Naomi rambled.
The Sumeragi might'e had a hand in it too." Odd added.
"Aight, so that's two possible theories." Naomi muttered.
Naomi teleported back to the sanatorium. After finding Dr. Kamizono talking to Nori, she stood to his left, knowing someone would eventually notice her.
"Do you need something Naomi?" Nori asked.
"Um, yeah I do actually. It turns out I have that plant Septima too. I got it recently, but that's all I know." Naomi replied.
"I'll handle the corrupt data." Nori informed.
"It's most likely that the Sumeragi implanted the Septima. Nori was just telling me she believes there's a Sumeragi worker here that's trying to infiltrate the sanatorium." Dr. Kamizono notified.
"So that's why you two were talking about handling corrupt data just now." Naomi realized.
"It seems they managed to plant some malware into the database and it's causing the systems to shut down slowly." Dr. Kamizono explained.
"I have a friend that can help, I'll be right back." Naomi added before going to her room and video calling Jeremy.
"Hey Einstein, there's another prob that needs fixin here." Naomi greeted.
"What is it?" Jeremy asked.
"Apparently there might be a Sumeragi worker here. It seems they messed with the data here by implantin some malware inta the database. It's slowly causin the whole system ta shut down. That means we'll be exposed ta attacks an stuff by the Sumeragi. They could use our own systems against us." Naomi worried.
"I'll see if I can fix the firewall, can you let me in?" Jeremy answered.
"Sure can." Naomi agreed as she allowed Jeremy to access to the database.
"That's a lot of data, what's it for?" Jeremy pondered.
"There's other patients here rather than just Mytyl. We have wifi runnin here too, mainly for equipment like Lola an Mytyl's tablet." Naomi stated.
Just then, the lights went out.
