At nine o'clock the next morning Carmen walked up to the front desk of the police station

"Hey Carmen." The man behind the desk said.

"Hi Bobby." "I'm here to file a complaint."

"Against who?"

"Max."

Carmen gave a statement. She said he unlawfully obtained her address. He was called into the sheriff's office.

"Is there any truth to what Carmen is saying?" The sheriff asked.

"No." "We've been talking again but she's seeing this other guy." "This is all a story for him."

Max was sent out and Carmen was called into the sheriff's office

"We can't do anything." He said.

"Of course you can't." She said annoyed.

"That's not how is it." "We have nothing to go on."

"Whatever." She left.

Later that night Randy walked through the door of her apartment. She was sitting on the couch.

"Hi." He said.

"Hi." She said frustrated. He sat down next to her on the couch.

"I'm sorry things didn't work out today." They kissed.

"I can't say I'm surprised." She looked at him. "Randy, I don't know how or when, but Max is going to approach you and he's going to tell you lies." "I don't know what lies, but they're lies." "Please don't believe anything he says." "I don't want anything to do with him." "I'm in love with you."

He smiled. "I love you too Carmen." They kissed. "I would never believe anything he says."
