Chapter 2: Getting Ready

"So you want to have a Paris themed party?" asked Mrs. Milligan.
"Yeah. It's a great city, and it'll be classy." Bessie explained.
Her parents looked at each other, and then back at her.
"Well I guess we'll be making a trip to the party store." said Mr. Milligan.
"Awesome, thanks guys."
First thing was first, Bessie had to make the guest list. She would be inviting all her friends from school, but she would also be inviting some of the people from Growing Lives. Her mom took her to the party store, and they picked up some party invitations.
They found some Paris themed invitations that were white with a black Eiffel Tower on them. Back at home, Bessie got them written out and addressed. She would be mailing the ones going to Growing Lives, but the ones going to her friends, she'd hand out personally.
The following day at school, Bessie gave out the invitations.
"A Paris themed party?" asked Lincoln.
"Yep."
"That sounds like fun." Liam replied.
"Be sure and tell your parents, and let me know as soon as possible."
"Don't worry, we will." assured Stella.
Once school was over, and the kids went home, they asked their parents. Liam, Stella, Rusty, and Zack all got their permission. Lincoln and Clyde just had to get their permission.
"So can I go Dads?" asked Clyde.
Howard and Harold looked at each other.
"Uh, I don't know. Will there be proper supervision?" wondered Howard.
"Her parents will be there."
"And what about safety?" added Harold.
"It's just a birthday party."
"Well all right, you can go."
"Yes!" Clyde cheered.
At the Loud House, Lincoln was asking his parents.
"So Bessie's having a birthday party?" asked Rita.
"Yep, she says it's her first one ever." Lincoln informed.
"Oh, how great for her." added Lynn Sr.
"So do I get permission?"
"Of course, Lincoln. You can go." Rita told him.
"Yes, thanks guys."
Lincoln quickly went upstairs to his room.
"So I'll be taking a trip to Pairs."
Lola, Leni, and Leni quickly hurried up to him.
"Did someone say Paris?" asked Lori.
"As in the fashion capital of the world?" wondered Leni.
"And you're going. You better be taking us with you." Lola demanded.
"Guys, guys, I'm not going to Paris. Bessie's going to have a Paris themed birthday party."
The girls looked a little disappointed.
"Can we go with you?" Leni wondered.
"Sorry, guys no plus ones." But I'm sure they'll be goody bags, I'll bring you back something."
And then he went to his room.
The next day, Bessie's friends told them they could come to her party.
"Glad you're all able to come. This party's gonna be great." Bessie said.
"I'm sure it will be." Stella told her.
"So what's gonna happen at this party anyway?" Liam wanted to know.
That made Bessie freeze, she hadn't thought of that yet.
"Uh, it'll be a surprise." she replied.
That seemed to make the kids even more interested. Bessie knew she was going to have to kick things up a notch.
