Harry was walking past the library as Tawny accidentally ran into
him; straight away his heart was set aflutter.
"Oh, Hello Harry, I didn't see you there," she said in her charming Scottish highlander accent. "That's alright Tawn," Harry said with a smile. "Where are you headed?" He prayed she was heading his way so they could walk together but nobody knows. Harry first met Tawny on his first train ride to Hogwarts and immediately he fell in love with her charisma, wit and atypical beauty. But every time he thought of Tawny, he had to laugh at himself for even thinking she'd like him. What was he in comparison to her? He wasn't a bad looking guy, but wasn't anything special. The only way my name is known, he thought, is because of the ridiculous accident that happened when I wasn't even old enough to remember.
"To the common room," she replied.
"Cool," Harry said, trying to fit the statement. "Mind if I join you?" Please, he thought, Oh please don't mind!
"Sure," Tawny said, "go right ahead." Harry felt as though he could fly, but instead settled on walking with Tawny and engaging in random topics of conversation. After a while, the conversation awkwardly ended. Tawny then sighed, sounding quite unhappy with herself.
"Something wrong Tawny?" Harry asked worriedly. 'I hope it's not me.' Harry thought to himself.
"No, nothing," replied a melancholy sounding Tawny. Harry was worried. "You sure? You know I'll always be here for you to talk to," he told her, hoping he wasn't being intrusive.
"Yeah, everything's alright," said Tawny, sounding a bit cheered up. "I'm just a little tired, I guess."
"That's good," Harry said with a smile. "Well, I have to be off, I promised Ron I'd help him with his D.A.D.A. homework. I'll see you at dinner then Tawny."
"Yep, that you will," Tawny assured him. Harry smiled to himself and left to help his friend.
