Weirder Things: Patrick's Camera
Chapter 5: Epilogue
SSSHH!
When the camera turned back on for the first time in years, the person holding the camera, Dipper, looked it over. Having grown much taller, he still had his same hairstyle; only it was cut shorter. And on his chin was a goatee. He was wearing a black and white suit with a black bow tie, the same as all the other men there.
"Okay, I think it's on!" Dipper exclaimed with a big smile.
"Come on, bro! Get the camera ready!" Mabel exclaimed, rushing over in a pink dress. She quickly took the camera and set it up on its stand. And just in time for the processional of the wedding to begin. Considering just how big this wedding was going to be, he and Mabel were lucky that they had enough seats for this wedding. However, they wanted to make this special, which is why they decided to have it be set on the shores of Gravity Falls' lake.
After all, this was Patrick's wedding.
"Alright, make sure you capture everything," Dipper said to the person that would be manning the camera.
"Shmebulock," Shmebulock said, standing on a stool.
"Alright, great!" Mabel pulled Dipper behind her as they quickly rushed to join the others for the ceremony.
Once the guests were all seated, the processional began. Being the voluntary officiant, Soos was the first to walk down the aisle. Then it was the groom's turn. Wearing a suit and bow tow tie, Patrick took a deep breath. This was it. This was the moment he's been waiting for since he decided that it was time to take their relationship to the next level. For seven months, he's waited for this day, and it was finally here!
Steeling his nerves and holding in his excitement, Patrick started walking down the aisle towards the altar. As he did so, he passed by many of the townsfolk, all of whom owe him their lives thanks to his actions during Weirdmaggedon. Soon he was passing by the first roles, where his family was sitting in the right-hand roll, while Wendy's brothers and distant family were sitting in the left-hand roll
He walked up the steps of the altar and took his place at Soos' left. He was then followed by his best man and maid of honor, his two favorite cousins, Dipper and Mabel, who walked side by side. Then can the groomsmen and bridesmaids as they walk side by side. The first was Pacifica and Gideon, Robbey and Tambry as they looped their arms, Nate and Candy, Lee and Grenda, Thompson and Soos' wife Melody, and finally, Mabel's boyfriend, Joshua. Together, all of them took their positions, with Dipper and the groomsmen on the left side of the altar and Mabel and the bridesmaids standing to the right.
Then came the ring bearer and flower girl. The ring bearer was none other than Soos' son, Miguel Jesus Ramirez, and the flower girl was Patrick's little sister, Sally. Miguel walked in front of Sally as she happily threw the flower petals all over the aisle as she skipped down it. When they reached the altar, Miguel walked over to join the groomsmen, and Sally walked over to join the bridesmaids. Glancing at her friend, she waved at him, making the Hispanic boy blush and wave back.
Everyone waited in silence as Patrick stared at the white stone archway. Its path was blocked by white curtains. Anxiously and excitedly, Patrick waited for the love of his life, the woman of his dreams, and his life partner to emerge from the other side.
From behind the curtains, Manly Dan, who was starting to show some gray in his hair, stuck his head out. "WE'RE READY!" He yelled.
"Dad!" Wendy hissed.
"Oh, right. We're ready." He said in a normal voice.
Reel-to-Reel was sitting at the piano when he heard the father of the bride. He turned around and started playing 'here comes the bride' on the instrument. This was the queue for the curtains to be pulled back and allowed Dan and his daughter to walk through.
Upon seeing his soon-to-be wife walking down the aisle, Patrick felt his heart and soul swell up with pride, excitement, anxiousness, and, most of all, joy and happiness. She looked like a goddess in mortal form, who has come to find herself a partner for life and had chosen him. The dress that was personally made by Mabel herself fits over Wendy's voluptuous body in all the right places as it's dragged across the sandy ground. Her arms were covered with white gloves that went up until they nearly touched her shoulders. Her beautiful red hair glistened as the sunlight touched it. Wendy looked absolutely gorgeous, and Patrick could almost feel tears in his eyes as he gazed upon her.
He stared at her as Dan walked his daughter down the aisle, up the stairs, until she was standing on the altar with her groom. As the father walked back to sit with his sons. Patrick then gently reached out and pulled the veil over Wendy's head, revealing her gorgeous face to him with her lips shining red with lipstick, her eyelashes standing out, and her cheeks blushing. Wendy stared lovingly and full of passion at Patrick as she held her bouquet in her hands.
The bride handed the bouquet to Mabel, who had to contain her squeal of glee. Soos cleared his throat and held his officiant book. "Alright, dudes! Please be seated." He said, and the people did as they were told. Once the people were seated, Soos nodded. "Thank you." Opening the book, he began his speech as Patrick and Wendy reached out and held hands. Smiling only at each other with all the love they felt for one another.
"Welcome Friends, Family, loved ones, dudes, and dudettes! We are here today to celebrate as we watch Patrick Pines and Wendy Corduroy join hands in marriage. Uh…" He had to take a moment to look at his notes. "We're here to laugh with them. Some of you are here to cry and are likely starting!" He pointed to Manly Dan.
"I'M NOT CRYING! I'M SOBBING! It's manlier!" Dan yelled, as his sons comforted him. "My baby girl's getting married!"
"But most of all, we're here to wish them well as they begin their new life together. I'd like to say, on behalf of Patrick and Wendy, thank you all so very much for being here. I know it means a lot to them. But…uh…" he had to pause for a moment to find his next line. "Before we begin, let us bow our heads and ask the lord's blessing for this rad couple."
He held his head down, as did everyone at the wedding. He then started the prayer. "Heavenly Father, We ask your blessing upon Patrick and upon Wendy. We come to you knowing that you have created them—Uh, and of course Father Time—for a purpose, and we're confident, oh Lord, that your will for their lives contains some amazing triumphs for them as they walk together in your name. We ask that you bless them and keep them with you, and that you hold us accountable to do the same, Lord. In your Holy name, we pray, Amen."
"Amen." Said the Pines, Corduroys, and the many guests at the wedding.
With the prayers over with, Soos cleared his throat and began his speech as he looked at the guest, the families, and of course, Patrick and Wendy, who couldn't keep their eyes off one another.
"Marriage is one of the most sacred things we hold dear. It is not just, like, the ultimate final evolved form of one's relationship, but the union of two people who are committed to loving one another and spending the rest of their lives together, faithful to each other, and to their journey together. But marriage isn't something that we can just do and be down with. It requires deep commitment, faith and trust in your spouse, and a lot of patience to make it work."
"Patrick, Wendy, I've watched the two of you since the first day of summer. The love I've seen the two of you have for one another is unlike anything that I've seen before. Supernatural, even!" Soos exclaimed, throwing his arms out. This got a chuckle from everyone. "I've seen your commitment to one another, your faith and trust, and your patience. And above it all, I've seen the love that you two wonderful people have for each other. Even after spending time away from one another until Patrick is able to come back, you two never stopped loving one another. And I know that you two will have a wonderful life together."
Patrick and Wendy smiled at their old friend, happy to hear him say that. Soos then looked at Patrick. "Patrick, do you take Wendy to be your lawfully wedded wife from this day forward—to have and to hold, in good times and bad, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health; will you love, honor, and cherish her for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." Patrick nodded.
Soos then turned to the red-headed young woman. "And Wendy, do you take Patrick to be your lawfully wedded husband from this day forward—to have and to hold, in good times and bad, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health; will you love, honor, and cherish him for as long as you both shall live?"
"You know it, Soos," Wendy said with a smirk.
"Patrick, Wendy, it's now time to say your vows," Soos said, stepping back to allow Sally to walk over in front of him. She then held up the pillow that had the rings on it.
Being the groom, Patrick went first. He took his ring for his gorgeous wife and held up her hand. "Wendy, when we first met that faithful summer, you became my best friend. But as time went on, my love for you blossomed." He said to his love. Wendy could feel tears building up in her eyes as she listened to his words. "You became my first and only girlfriend, and eventually my lover, even when we were states away from one another. I love you so much, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So, with this ring, you become my wife, and as your husband, I promise to love, honor, and cherish you, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part." He slipped the ring on her ring finger.
Now it was the bride's turn. Picking up the ring she'd picked out for her handsome husband, Wendy looked at him as she held up his hand. "Patrick, when you came to town, my whole world changed. Metaphorically and literally. The moment you came into my life, everything changed for the better. In you, I found a boy that would not only be my best friend, but my soul mate. You loved me for who I am, with all my perfections and flaws. I love you, Patrick Pines. I love you so much that I would give my life to you, and that is what I want to do. I can't imagine a life without you in it. So, with this ring, you become my husband, and as your wife, I promise to love, honor, and cherish you, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part." She proclaimed to Patrick as she slipped the ring onto his ring finger.
Sally moved back to her position as Soos came forward again with a big smile. Sobbing for a moment, he quickly whipped his tears away. "Patrick, Wendy, having proclaimed your love for each other, and made your commitment to one another in the sight of Almighty God, Time Baby, and these witnesses, it is my pleasure to pronounce you, by the power vested in me by the town of Gravity Falls, the state of Oregan, and…likely the multiverse, married! You may now kiss your bride, dog!" Soos said as he started crying again.
"Get her! Get her!" Tyler Cutebiker shouted from the audience, with tears pouring down his face.
Patrick and Wendy looked at one another, before the redhead jumped into his arms, and the two laid upon their lips their first kiss as a married couple. Everyone at the beach erupted into cheers and celebration as they stood up. The bridesmaids and the groomsmen were clapping together as their hands and cheered for their friends and cousin, with Mabel and the girls squealing and jumping up and down.
Pulling himself together, Soos said to the crowd. "You heard it from me, Gravity Falls! It is with great pride and pleasure that I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Pines!" He exclaimed. "And you all know what that means! Reception party at the Mystery Shack! Thank you so much for joining us today. God bless you all."
As the Guardians of Obsolete Formats rang the bells and released the doves into the sky as Patrick walked down the aisle, arm in arm. Confetti was blasted from cannons as they ran to the car that was waiting for them.
"Wendy! The bouquet!" Mabel called out to her.
Wendy turned to her with a look of confusion. But then she realized that she was given back the bouquet and was still holding it. Smiling, she turned her back to the girls and then threw the flowers over her head and high into the sky.
"Grenda!"
"ON IT!" Grenda yelled, picking up Pacifica and running forward.
"Hey! Grenda, what are you doing?!" The blonde beauty yelled, but Grenda was looking at the falling bouquet.
"Thank me later!" The strong girl exclaimed, before setting Pacifica down and backing up.
Pacifica was confused until something hit her in the chest, and she quickly caught it before it could fall down. To her surprise and shock, it was the bouquet. This earned so many squeals and cheers from the girls that it made her blush brightly. Wendy laughed and clapped for her as Patrick smiled and turned to Dipper.
"Hey, cuz! Let us know when the wedding is gonna happen!" Patrick called out to Dipper. Instantly both Dipper and Pacifica, who were both just becoming a couple, looked at one another with wide eyes. Their faces instantly flared up, and they looked away with embarrassment.
Patrick chuckled before opening the door to the passenger side of the car. Wendy smiled and let herself inside, with her newly wedded husband helping her with her dress. Closing the door behind her, he turned to the crowd. "Well? What are we waiting for? Come on! Let's get back to the Mystery Shack and party!"
Everyone cheered and quickly ran to their cars for what was no doubt going to be an epic party.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Wendy let out the loudest scream she'd ever made as she lay in her hospital bed, squeezing her husband's hand as she pushed with all her might.
However, it was finally over. They'd waited 9 months for this very moment, and the wait was finally over. As Wendy rested herself, she heard the sound of an extra voice making its way inside the room. It was a small, crying baby. As much as Wendy wanted to pick herself up and see, she was exhausted. 12 hours of labor, but all that pain and suffering was worth it. Those weren't just the cries of any baby. That was the sound of her very own child's voice.
Patrick looked up from his wife as he held her hand, and gasped in excitement and joy as he laid his eyes on his healthy son, and he teared up.
"Honey, you did it!" Patrick said excitedly. His tired wife looked down, and the nurse held her son.
"Congratulations, Mrs. Pines! You've just given birth to a healthy baby boy," she said. Patrick and Wendy were beyond happy to see the new life they had brought into their lives. Their very own son.
After cleaning the baby up and Patrick cutting the cord, he happily carried his son over to his wife, and the couple embraced their baby with love and care. "He's so precious," Wendy said, crying tears of happiness as she held her baby.
"Yeah...he has your eyes," Patrick replied. He couldn't stop himself from kissing his precious little boy on the forehead. This made the baby stop crying as he reached out for his parents, which they laughed at. "What should we call him?"
"Well, how did you get your name?" Wendy asked.
"I was born on Saint Patrick's day."
Wendy thought for a moment before an idea came to her. "Is today a day named after a saint?"
Patrick pulled out his phone and looked it up. "Actually, today is Saint Thomas Day." He said, before turning to his son, who cooed joyfully. From the smile he had on his face, it seemed like he was fond of the name. "I think he likes that name."
"Ok... Thomas Pines it is." Wendy said with a happy smile. And now that their child was given a name, the happy family embraced each other one more time. "Welcome to the world, Thomas."
When the camera turned on again, 7-year-old Thomas was the one holding it up as he pointed it to his mother. Wendy was pregnant again and was now 5 months away from her second child. "Okay, is the red dot blinking?" She asked, helping Thomas with the camera.
"It's blinking, momma," Thomas said. Now at the age of 7 years old, the bright young boy was sporting the same red hair that defined the Corduroy family, as well as his own little lumberjack hat.
"Alright," Wendy said, before looking at the stage. "Oh! Your father's up there!" Thomas quickly pointed the camera in the direction of the stage.
Today was a big announcement for the town of Gravity Falls. Today, the next sheriff was about to be announced, and Blubs and Durland, who've been married for years now, picked their best officer to be their successor. Now sporting a beard and mustache, Patrick stood before the two on the stage that was set up in the town square. Everyone had come out to congratulate the man that had kept the peace in town and helped people with the supernatural things that happened. His wife and son were in the front row seats, recording this vital moment.
"Patrick Pines, you have shown outstanding dedication to the town of Gravity Falls, and have shown time and time again that you're willing to go beyond the call of duty and go out of your way to help the people of this community," Blubs said, before his husband opened a small case to reveal Patrick's new sheriff's badge. Walking up to the black-haired man, the old man pinned it to his uniform. "I'm proud to have had you as an officer, and I'm proud to have you be Gravity Falls' newest sheriff!"
"Woo! Woo!" Durland cheered, blowing air horns in each hand.
"Hehehehe, he still loves his noises," Blubs said, shaking his head with a smile.
Patrick walked up to the podium with a smile. "Thank you, Blubs. I'm honored to be chosen as the next sheriff. I promise to everyone that I will continue to serve the people and the community that I love so much."
"New mayor cannon!" Durland suddenly said, standing next to a rusty old cannon. He pulled the cord, and the cannon fired, sending a cannonball flying into a shop and smashing the sign of it.
"MY SHOP!"
A few months after Patrick and Wendy's daughter was born, Stacy was filmed as she walked for the first time in her life. "Oooooh, my baby girl's walking!" Patrick cheered as Wendy filmed the little black-haired girl with a ponytail walking towards her daddy. Squealing happily like a little girl, Patrick knelt down and held out his arms to her. "Come here, baby, girl!"
However, Stacy didn't go for him, and walked right past him. "Hey, where are you going?" Wendy asked, following her with the camera.
Stacy walked to her brother, who was playing with toy dinosaurs. She then surprised him by giving him a big hug. Thomas smiled and laughed as he hugged her back.
"I would have liked a hug." Patrick pouted.
Patrick laughed as he looked at that picture. Stacy's first few steps were a great memory. One of the many in what many people would consider to be a very excellent life Patrick Pines has lived. Now at 47 years old, he was sitting in the living room as he looked over the scrapbook that he'd made for his family. There were so many photos in it, like his wedding, his promotion to being the new sheriff, the birth of his children, and many other moments that he recorded.
There was the time that his father-in-law, Manly Dan, passed his lobber company to his sons. Wendy, even though she was the oldest, didn't mind. She let them have the company, while she went to college and got her degree in architecture, and went on to being the best in the country that specialized in lumber. Graduating alongside her husband, who received his own bachelor's degree in criminology.
There was also the time when the family took a family fishing trip, only to have to solve the mystery of a haunted fishing house. It was the first time that Thomas caught a fish and his first ghost. That was the moment he started becoming infatuated with the supernatural, just like his father and uncle were when they were kids.
Stacy had her chance to shine in her all-girls rock band. From a young had, Patrick's daughter loved to sing, and Wendy and Tambry helped her find that passion in her to make music. And at her school's talent show, she showed the town her gift and rocked the house.
The last picture taken by the family was of Thomas' graduation from college. Patrick looked at that image with a bright smile and closed the scrapbook. He sighed and leaned back on the sofa when the doorbell rang.
"Honey? Can you get the door?" Wendy called from the kitchen.
"I've got it!" Patrick walked over to the door and opened it. On the other side was the daughter of Robbie and Tambry Valentino and Stacy's girlfriend, Jessica.
Just like how his own daughter was turning out to be, Jessica was a beautiful young woman who was a spinning image of her mother. She had the same light brown skin as Tambry, with long purple hair. The only emo/goth she had on was her purple eyeliner and her black lipstick. Other than that, she dressed smartly, with an orange button-up shirt with a white collar, and blue skirt, and pink earrings, and in her hair on the right side was a pink hairpin in the shape of a musical clef.
"Hey, Jessica! You looking for Stacy?" Patrick asked with a smile. It was no secret that Stacy really liked Jessica, especially whenever she was over to study with her. Patrick even walked in on them kissing—twice. Stacy eventually worked up the courage to come out as bisexual to her parents, which Patrick and Wendy were both very supportive of. Wendy was especially supportive, given that she was bisexual herself. Stacy was even more shocked when she learned that Mabel, who had a husband and a few kids, was bisexual as well.
"H-Hey, Mrs. Pines. Is Stacy home?" Jessica asked. As a 16-year-old young woman, she was still getting used to the idea of dating someone, much less another girl. She hadn't even told her parents that she was pansexual yet, even though she was confident they knew about her relationship with the punk-rock girl.
They weren't exactly good at hiding it at her house either. But Jessica really liked Stacy, just as much as Stacy was certain she was in love with the Valentino girl, and despite their rocky start, Jessica wanted this relationship to work out.
"She's just getting ready," Patrick said, before turning his head. "Stacy! Jessica's here!"
There was the sound of a crash before Stacy's voice called out to him. "Uh, just a minute! I'll be right there!"
"She'll be here in a moment," Patrick said to Jessica. "So, where are you two heading off? Gonna see the Woodstick festival?"
"Uh, yeah!" Jessica said, still apprehensive. "So...you're not mad at me for dating your daughter?"
Patrick was confused by the question. "Why would I be mad?"
"Well... you know."
It took a moment before Patrick realized what she was talking about. "Oh. Hey, don't worry about that. I've seen my daughter date a bunch of guys in the past, but I can say that you're the best person she's dated so far." Patrick said, waving his hands at her. His wife even compared her daughter's luck with guys to herself before dating him. "And do you want to know something? My wife and cousin are Bisexual."
"Wha...really?" Jessica asked, completely shocked.
"Yup."
"...Woah…"
Patrick leaned against the doorframe and smiled at her. "But that changes nothing. I'd still accept you, with my daughter being the sole reason. It's clear to me that Stacy really likes you, and that's what's important to me. That my daughter finds someone that loves her just as much as she loves them, and I can see that you both like each other very much." He said to his friend's daughter, making Jessica blush brightly. "You take care of Stacy and treat her right, then as her father, you have my permission to date my daughter."
Jessica stared at the man with wide eyes, amazed by his words. She then smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Pines. And I will."
"Oh please, call me Patrick." Patrick chuckled.
"Alright, I'm ready!" Stacy as she ran out of her room and down the stairs. She came to a skidding stop in front of the door and smiled at her girlfriend. At 16 years old, Stacy was a beautiful girl with a punk-rock style to herself. She had black hair, which she had dyed pink at the end and tied in a ponytail, which was held back with a scrunchy in the bisexual colors. She had pale skin, and black eyes, and on her hands were elbow-length fingerless gloves. Stacy was wearing a black tank top with a teal alien head, green shorts with a teal sweater tied around her waist, and black boots.
"Hey, babe! You ready to go!" Stacy asked, excited to go on her date with Jessica.
Jessica blushed brightly. "Uh, y-yeah! Let's go!" She said nervously.
"Don't wait up, dad!" Stacy said before grabbing Jessica's hand, and the two of them ran off to the Woodstick Festival.
Patrick smiled as he watched his daughter and her girlfriend running off to their date. He closed the door, before looking to see his wonderful wife standing behind him, looking at him with a proud smile and a loving look in her eyes.
"What?" Patrick asked, chuckling.
"Nothing. Just remembering why I fell in love with you." She said, walking up to her darling and planting a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you for not scaring her off."
"I think you're mistaking me for your father," said Patrick with a joking smile.
It was then that Thomas, who was 23 years old, came walking into the room with grey sweatpants and an orange shirt. "Hey, mom, dad?" He called out to them, getting his parent's attention.
"Hey, buddy, what's up?" Patrick asked his son.
"Well…" Thomas hesitated for a moment, before speaking up. "Can I talk to you two for a moment?"
This confused Patrick and Wendy, but both were eager to know what their son wanted to say. Especially when it looked like what Thomas wanted to say was something really important. "Of course," said Patrick, leading the family to the living room. Patrick and Wendy sat down on the couch together, and Thomas stood in front of them.
Taking in a deep breath, Thomas exhaled before beginning. "So, as you know, I've just graduated from college."
"It was only a week ago," said Wendy.
"Right, and you know how I've always wanted to be a paranormal investigator like how Great-Great Uncle Ford was?" Thomas asked the two of them. Patrick and Wendy nodded, smiling as they remember all the times Thomas would run into the woods to see what strange things the forest had to offer as a kid before he got older and started taking on mystery-solving in town. "But, the thing is… I just don't think there's really a place here for me."
This took the parents by surprise, and they immediately became concerned. "What do you mean?" Wendy asked, leaning forward.
Thomas walked over to a bookshelf in the living room next to the tv. "Well, think about it. Our family has been in this town for generations now. My great-great uncle, great grandma, and you two, Uncle Dipper and Aunt Mabel, have been exploring the town and its weirdness for a long time and had pretty much documented everything that happened in this town." He said, picking up one of the books and showing it to his parents. It was one of Patrick's own personal journals, one of five that he's written in over the years. His journals had golden cut-outs of his six-toed left foot with a black 4 on it. "There's nothing left for me to really leave my mark. So, I thought about going someplace else where I am able to leave my mark. A place of weirdness that's completely uncharted."
"Do you know of a place like Gravity Falls?" Patrick asked, raising an eyebrow.
"As a matter of fact, Ford's ghost told me about a special place that had the same anomalous reads as the town," said Thomas as he pulled out a piece of paper with a map printed on it. He handed it to his parents, and Patrick and Wendy looked at it.
"Trolberg…in Scandinavia?" Patrick asked, looking at his son with a surprised expression. "That's one the other side of the world."
"I know, but that's where I plan to go," Thomas stated with a determined smile. "I love Gravity Falls, and I'll always consider this place my home, but it's time for me to strike out on my own. Make a name for myself, you know? I want to be just like you guys, but I…I just don't want to be in your shadow."
Patrick and Wendy stared at Thomas with wide, astonished by his genuine words. After a second, the father stood up and placed his hands on his son's shoulders. "Thomas, you will never be in our shadow, but I just need to know one thing. Are you completely sure about this? This is a big commitment, you know. You're moving to another country after finishing college. Is this what you really want to do?"
Thomas stared at his father, the man that he's looked up to for years, and nodded his head. "Positive, dad."
Patrick smiled. "Then we'll tell your sister when she gets home," he said as Wendy stood up. She had tears in her eyes before she came over and hugged her son. The mother will miss her son, but she knew that he will be okay. Just like her husband, she will support him.
About a month later, Thomas turned on the camera and faced it towards himself. Having arrived in Trolbery, he'd moved into his new apartment house and was settling for the night. Tomorrow was a big day for him. It'll be the first day of exploring the wild outside of the city.
Coming to Scandinavia, Thomas wore a brown leather jacket with a Mystery Shack's jade greenish-gray shirt with a large dark green question mark on the front. He had a black belt that slung across his chest, black cargo pants, and large grey boots coated in dirt. And on his head was his mother's own lumberjack hat, which she gifted him.
Sitting on the floor in front of the camera as it sat on the couch, he smiled at it. "Hey everyone, my name is Thomas Pines, and this will be the first of hopefully many recordings that I do over the time that I'm here in Trolberg. As of right now, I'm officially a paranormal investigator, and I'm going to be beginning my exploration tomorrow." He said to the camera before pulling out a journal written by Ford, before he died. He turned the journal over to show a map of the woods surrounding Trolberg. "Before they died, my great-great uncles explored the woods, and noticed a lot of strange and wonderous creatures and anomalies that take place here. So tomorrow, I'll be going out to see it."
Thomas turned his head to the window of his apartment and smiled. This was it. His first real adventure. He turned to the camera and said, "I wonder what I'll find out there."
