Team Fantastic merged their Gears to form this one awesome Gear! Spider-Man was able to go even faster on his Gear and helped his team win the race! I was on the edge of my seat! Can't wait to see who else will go to the Finals!

BGM-Sonic Battle OST-Eggman Plots

'I can't believe this! None of your Drones made it to the Semi-Finals! I'm disappointed in you, Hammer!' scowled King Doc Eggman through a holographic chat, berating his business partner inside his own office after learning his teams of Hammer Drones failed to participate in the semi-final races of the Grand Prix.

"I can make up for this! I mean, don't we still have Team Supreme racing?!" A nervous Hammer asked.

'Not against the Babylon Rogues! Their race will be starting soon and I still need their legendary data to complete the Ultimate Gear!' Eggman retorted.

"Okay okay!" Hammer then presses a button on his remote control, summoning a horde of flying robotic drones into his office, "I'll just send out my spy drones to get you the remaining data you need!"

'Makes me question why you didn't do this from the start?' Eggman questioned.

"Just wanted to have fun like everyone else. We still got this, Doc. No need to worry." Hammer sheepishly assured the egg conqueror.

'Just don't fail me again or you can see your seat in the Masters of Evil be THROWN out the window!' threatened Eggman, ending the chat to leave Hammer alone to worry about his future with a gulp.

Later…at Mount Fuji, Japan.

BGM-Sonic Free Riders OST-Get Ready for the Big Event

Some of Hammer's Spy Drones have arrived at what is quite possibly the craziest place to ever host a race: A volcano. And not just any volcano, but the most famous mountain in all of Japan, Mount Fuji. Burning magma surrounds this volcano pass as it winds around giant colossi carved in the image of ancient gods. Another set of semi-finalists will race on this volcanic racetrack in just a few short moments, starring the famous mobian Teams of Heroes and Babylon. Beside them there is Team Branwen of Remnant, consisting of the Branwen Twins, Qrow and Raven, and their mutual mutant friend, Wolverine. As well as Team New Avengers of Earth, consisting of Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Daredevil.

"GOOD LUCK, SONIC! CRUSH THOSE BIRDBRAINS!" Amy loudly cheered, sitting alongside Tiki and the uncostumed Team Spiders at bleachers being blessed with the best air conditioning Stark Industries could build that can withstand the volcanic heat.

"Is Team RWBY not joining us?" The curious Tiki asked Peter.

"They're warming themselves up for their next race." Peter answered.

"Where is a better location to train than inside a volcano?" Tiki snarked.

"That's what I told them." Peter quipped.

Behind the starting line, members of the four teams are engaging in some pre-racing banter. "Surprised you two tolerated each other to get this far." Captain Marvel joked around with the Branwen Twins, knowing of their strained relationship.

"The promise of winning money and treasure can balance a relationship." Qrow quipped.

"Is that all you guys care about?" Knuckles frowned tiredly at the adults.

"And just exactly what's wrong with being in it for the treasure, hmm?" Wave snarked.

"Regardless of why we're here, this Grand Prix is ours, Sonic the Hedgehog!" Jet smirked cockily at his eternal speed rival.

"Not happening, punks! If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!" Knuckles retorted angrily.

"Didn't surprise me you made it this far, Jet!" sonic confronted his rival.

"I hope the fastest thing on land upped his game a bit." Jet taunted.

"It's time we finally settled this food! Er, I mean feud? …Yeah, that." Storm sheepishly corrected himself.

"Wow, tripped over a monosyllabic word, Storm. Good for you…" Wave grinned sarcastically at her dumb teammate.

Just before the race begins, Commentator Jocasta has this to comment, "Sparks are flying from both Team Heroes and Team Babylon, and the race hasn't even begun yet! I'm eager to see how this epic food plays out! I-I mean feud!" Embarrassed, she mutters, "Man, now he's got me doing it…"

BGM-Sonic Free Riders OST-Theme of Magma Rift

From Team Heroes to Team Branwen. From Team Babylon to Team New Avengers. Each team is looking as mighty eager as the other, speeding off into the racetrack as soon as the electric gate was down. "Now we'll see if the Rogues are more than just talk." Kaine commented stoically from the bleachers.

"Believe me, very few can beat them, let alone rival their tricks on the track." Amy responded as she speaks from personal experience with the Babylon Rogues, "What Storm lacks in smarts, he makes up for in raw power. Wave's knowledge and experience with Extreme Gear surpasses even Tails and Eggman. And Jet's skills are simply legendary. Sonic would've beaten him in the last Grand Prix if his board didn't explode out of nowhere."

"So they're not just thieves, they're cheaters too." Kaine noted.

"And alien genies." Amy added.

"You're making that up." Kaine snarked.

"Their ancestors created the first Extreme Gear. Their Babylonian blood gives them an unique advantage that will be difficult to surpass. Let us have faith that Sonic and others can complete this challenge." Tiki said wisely while they watch the beginnings of this heated race.

Just like any volcano, there is lava, caves and large volcanic rocks that follow the perimeter on most of the racetrack. Tails is using his Gear to air ride through a secret passage that helps him get ahead of other racers, like Raven and Captain Marvel tearing above molten rock as they are fearsome in struggling to overtake the other. Knuckles is up ahead when he notices Storm pursuing him into a cave for a fierce fight, bumping into him multiple times until the echidna rages and trade with him powerful punching blows that ends with a stalemate from being blasted away by dash panels.

Doctor Strange was cruising on his mystical Gear when the Mobian Powerhouses flew over and zooms ahead of him. Annoyed by them, he mutters, "Getting serious from the start. Alright, I'll play along.", before casting the spell, "HASTE!", on himself that grants him a magical speed boost that near instantly helps him catch up with Knuckles, Storm, and a few other racers.

After tricking off a ramp, Wave is mad to see Tails ahead of her on Gear that she will always view as pathetic. She nabs a Target Torpedo and laughingly uses it on her rival, who is desperately trying to ride away in vain. But as the fox cub braces for impact, his buddy Sonic comes to his rescue with a Spin Attack that deflects the torpedo.

"Stupid rat!" Wave scowled at the hedgehog for interfering.

Shortly after, Sonic and some others find themselves racing around some ancient temple ruins, erupting steam that briefly obstruct their vision. "AGH! I can't see!" Sonic exclaimed, quickly rubbing the steam off his eyes.

"Ironic that I can." Daredevil quipped, forever blind but has enhanced senses that ignores the steam in his eyes and helps him ride his Gear so perfectly that he overtakes Sonic. After tricking off a ramp to ride on a path built in the image of an ancient dragon, Daredevil senses Jet throttling down from the sky above him, with terrifying speed generating an impressive amount of wind that sends the blind superhero spiraling through the air and far back on the track. This clears a path for a steam-free Sonic to engage his ultimate rival on the dragon road, clashing quick Spin Dashes with swift swings from his Bashōsen until they zoom into the second lap.

"Second lap already? Unsurprising when four of these speedy racers were finalists in Mobius's EX World Grand Prix! Jet the Hawk was the winner of that tournament and he is eager to defend his title as Sonic is to win it from him!" Jocasta commentated as the race continues.

"Your Gear is still as amazing as ever, Wave…" Tails complimented his fellow genius.

"Is that supposed to be sarcasm, shrimp?" Wave snarked, believing he was mocking her.

"Wh-What?! No! I didn't mean it like that!" An apologetic Tails retorted.

"Well you're keeping up. It looks like you're starting to get a rudimentary grip on the Gear yourself." Wave mocked the young fox.

Racing alongside his sadden teammate, Knuckles assures him, "Don't let her get to you. It takes a lot more than just Gear specs to win a race."

"Wow, you guys got good at this. If we ain't careful, you really might make it to the championship!" Storm noted.

An annoyed Jet scoffs, "Ugh, the both of you are useless. Looks like I'm going to have to get serious if we want to win this."

"How about you get serious and just admit that we've got you beat, Jet!" Knuckles snarked.

"The competition's just getting started! Let's go, Sonic the Hedgehog!" Jet confronted his rival with a cocky smirk.

"Hey, I'm ready when you are!" Sonic retorted with a cocky smile of his own.

With simultaneous seamlessness, the Mobian Wind Masters draw up wind around themselves not unlike what Spider-Man did in his last race against Team Fantastic and propel themselves far beyond the sound barrier, leaving behind massive twin turbulences and causing fires to erupt around the track that take the other races by surprise.

"They can go that fast?!" Qrow reacted with a look of surprise.

"They're getting serious! Better kick things up a notch myself!" Captain Marvel retorted before using a Kick Dash to speed herself up.

From the spectator seats, a shocked Mayday comments on the sudden boost of speed Sonic and Jet granted themselves, "They're going Extreme Speed like you did, Dad."

"They're the experts after all. No one knows the wind better than those two." Peter responded.

At crazy supersonic speeds across the racetrack, Sonic and Jet continue their fight to prove to each other who is faster. They exchange a few blows until Sonic swerves around the green rider, getting ahead of him to try and trip him up with a powerful tornado that Jet swiftly blows away with two Bashōsens. Captain Marvel nears the speedsters and fires at them a high-speed barrage of photon blasts, with most failing to slow them down a little thanks to their unstoppable wind boost.

"Strange, take the wind out of them!" Carol ordered her teammate.

"By the Winds of Watoomb!" casted Strange, reversing the airflow on the mobian speedsters and returning them to their normal speeds so others could catch up with them.

"Magic!" Sonic grunted in annoyance.

"No fair! I'm the only Master of the Wind!" Jet exclaimed in anger at the sorcerer.

"ONLY the Master of the Wind! I am the Master of ALL Mystic Elements that has the tricks to trip you up!" boasted Strange, casting a lightning spell that causes both Sonic and Jet to shrink and ride slowly for a short time.

"What's the deal?! We're GEAR RACING, not GO-KARTING!" The tiny Jet complained, comparing his trick to a trick from a famous racing video game starring a red plumber.

The Gear-racing fun keeps escalating even while Qrow rail grinds and Wave air rides. As Knuckles is riding over lava, he is swiftly met by Wolverine after jumping off a ramp and morphing his board into a hoverbike. "Not afraid to slam you into the lava, Logan!" threatened Knuckles, throwing a punch that is deflected by his metal claws.

"Keep tryin', bub!" snarked Wolverine, using his claws to slash out a frightening wave of lava that Knuckles deflects with the winds from his boost.

While they clash over lava, the Branwen Twins fly over them to support their mutant teammate. With Qrow, he magically transforms into a black crow that latches onto Knuckles and annoys him with constant pecks to his face, "AH! GET OFF OF ME!". With Raven, she uses an explosive fiery sword to obliterate cliffs with single slashes that rain down molten debris to spin the distracted Knuckles and other unfortunate rivals out of control so Wolverine could race ahead of them toward the final lap.

"What's up, Doc?" Suddenly surprising Dr. Strange from behind is a normal-sized Sonic smacking him with a stronger Spin Dash that disorients him. The other two New Avengers try backing him up, only to be twisted by the equally sudden Jet's Bashōsens.

"Take it you didn't like being tiny." Captain Marvel taunted.

"Yeah, never do that again. It was as embarrassing as your haircut." Sonic mocked her new short hair style.

BGM-Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 OST-Theme of Dr. Strange

Now annoyed, Carol retorts, "Alright Fur-Face, prepare to be demolished by our trump card!"

"Somebody's ticked." Sonic joked.

"Bring it on! I can outrace ALL your magic tricks!" Jet proclaimed arrogantly.

"Not this one." Daredevil argued, as Strange casts a spell that will add an all-new mystical dynamic to the final climactic moments of this fiery race.

An invisible gateway opens at the starting line and as quickly as the racers pass into it for the final lap, everything changes. The entire volcanic racetrack is warping, twisting around them. The ground is the sky, the sky are the walls. Lava is erupting from all angles that instantly affects the high-speed performance of Sonic and Jet, and many other racers as they struggle to adjust to this sudden parallel dimension.

"I HATE MAGIC!" Jet complained angrily, crashing throughout the distorted racetrack falling inside a large dragon statue mouth and other fiery structures while Sonic freefalls through the dimension.

"Unbelievable! It would appear the final lap will take place in this parallel dimension!" Jocasta commentated, with the audience also, yet safely, stuck in this distorted dimension.

"When did this become a magic show?" An annoyed Kaine commented.

"The Mirror Dimension." Peter recognized this place, "Where Strange is at his most powerful. He controls everything in here."

"Expected no less from the Sorcerer Supreme. Breaking free from this realm will be troublesome." Tiki noted.

"Hated this place when Salem trapped us here." Raven scowled to herself amidst her intense racing.

With Doctor Strange in full mystical control, the Mirror Dimension continues warping to the point that it was unrecognizable. His rivals are forced to adapt, refusing to let this strange world stop them from reaching their end goal. No matter how messed up this realm is, the finish line is still in their sights and they are racing with everything to make it there. Speedsters like Sonic and Daredevil grind on floating rail-like structures that makes it easier for them to traverse here. Fliers like Tails and Raven dash through midair dash rings under weird lava arches. And powerhouses like Storm and Wolverine smash through molten rocks erupting from everywhere around them.

"They are adapting. We must hurry to the goal!" Strange informed his teammates.

"All aboard the Binary Express!" quipped Carol, transforming into her Binary Form and infuse its energies into her hoverboard to immensely increase her speed to marvelous proportions, unleashing a slipstream for her teammates to ride. And with Strange constantly warping the dimension to his team's advantage, they are getting close to winning the race.

"Jet!" Wave shouted at her nearby leader with a plan that will help them win, "If we push our Gears to the absolute limit, the energies should cause a spacetime distortion that will shatter this dimension like glass! Create us an exit!"

"Okay!" Jet agreed to the plan.

"Were you thinking the same thing, Tails?" Sonic asked his buddy.

"We did it before in Remnant!" Tails retorted, recalling when their super teamwork broke free from Salem's Mirror Dimension during the Spider-Dimensions incident.

Sonic smiles, "Then let's do it again!"

BGM-Sonic X OST-Sonic's Solution

"GEAR CHANGE: MAX SPEED UP!" Both Sonic and Jet shouted, simultaneously activating the Gear Part that increases their speed to the next sensational level. And upon harnessing the wind for that extra boost, the legendary Wind Masters unleash a combined speed so immeasurable that it seamlessly shatters the Mirror Dimension like glass and causes a distortion that returns everyone to the normal Mount Fuji.

"Remarkable…Their speed broke through the Mirror Dimension. The ancient technology of the Babylonians astounds me." Strange complimented his rivals' speed.

"Still won't help them win!" Carol arrogantly believed.

"I'll prove that wrong here and now!" retorted Jet, with him and Sonic suddenly appearing beside Team New Avengers in a final clash for the finish. The Bird Rider hits the superheroes with a massive gale of wind from his Bashōsen, severely blowing away all but Captain Marvel before she struggles to deflect Sonic's Spin Dash for a raging moment. The Hedgehog, the Hawk, and the Cosmic Captain. All three neck and neck as they race toward the finish line. And at their top speed, all three cross the finish line at what appears to be the same time.

"Was that a tie?!" A surprised Amy wondered from her seat.

"I WON! WHO WON?! ME RIGHT?!" The frantic trio of Sonic, Jet, and Carol asked Jocasta, who feels nervous around their arguing.

"Remember that this was a TEAM race." Jocasta snarked, "But we can look at the photo of the finish to determine which individual crossed the finish line first."

A large holographic screen is projected for everyone to look at. The image it is displaying is of the trio that looked to have crossed the finish line at the same time. But, after a very zoom-in inspection at their Gears, Jocasta can confidently announce that, "And by an INCH of his board, it was SONIC THE HEDGEHOG that crossed the finish line first! And after adding his points to his teammates', I can proudly announce that TEAM HEROES won the race!"

BGM-Sonic Free Riders OST- Get Ready for the Big Event

"BOOYAH!" Sonic exclaimed ecstatically whilst celebrating his victory with his best friends.

"We're going to the Finals!" Tails stated happily.

Hopping up and down through sheer joy, Amy laughs, "WAY TO GO, TEAM HEROES!"

"YEAAAAAAAAAH!" yelled both Team Spiders and Tiki, congratulating them with smiling fists at them that look pretty humorous.

Frustrated at her team losing the race, Raven growls, "I blame your Semblance we lost.", at her little brother.

"We were lucky we got this far." Qrow quipped.

"Excellent race, everyone." Captain Marvel smiled at the winners and losers, "Man…that was TOO close! Wonder how the Rouges are taking it?"

"Jet's probably off crying someplace right about now." Knuckles mocked.

"Speaking of, where is Jet anyway?" asked Sonic, noticing Team Babylon have suddenly disappeared.

"The three of them already left for home." Jocasta answered, "But we still may be able to get them on for a comment! Let's try to track them down!"

After a quick moment, a holographic screen is projected displaying live footage of the Babylon Rogues riding away from the volcano on their Gears. 'Waugh! Boss! There's a camera followin' after us!' A startled Storm noticed the camera drone.

An annoyed Wave scoffs, 'Ugh, what do you people want? Was there really any need to follow us?'

"Hey, Jet! Thanks for the great race! I had fun." Sonic smiled gratefully at his speedy rival.

'Yeah, well there's gonna be payback for this. You just wait, Sonic the Hedgehog!' Jet retorted, extremely bitter from his loss and vows to get faster for their inevitable rematch.

"Man, I'll look forward to that!" Sonic proclaimed with a thumbs up, already looking forward to that rematch.

KFX Here: A Sonic-focused chapter in time for the release of Sonic Frontiers. If I find anyone spoiling the game, I'm gonna ban you! Somehow. My copy won't be delivered by the end of the week. HOPEFULLY, I'll finish this story before it arrives so I can spend a week playing it then start on the God Mission remake story.

Braewriter of Rewriting: Elements from RWBY Arrowfell into this series? It's a possibility, but I gotta be impressed by the full game first.
