Sorry that it's been a while since I've updated. I've been busy with so many things. I've also had Covid-19, which was absolute hell and I've been having problems with my asthma, but I've started seeing a lung doctor. And unfortunately since I'm still having arthritis in my knee I've been taking more physical therapy.
I've also been to the emergency room twice these last couple of weeks, one was for an asthma attack and the other was for a bee sting, because I'm allergic to bees, but thankfully my mom was there with me, which really helped me.
A New Plan
Hava was walking back to her dorm after she finished her last classes and she was ready to explode. In fact, she was surprised herself that she managed not to burn the whole school to the ground yet. When she finally got to her dorm, she was surprised to see Jane was there too with Mal and Evie. Hava also noticed that Jane's hair was longer and looked pretty.
"Mom said, "If a boy can't see the beauty within then he's not worth it," Jane quoted her mother in an unhappy tone, "Can you believe it? What world does she live in?"
"Auradon," Mal answers, who was lying on her bed drawing.
"What are you guys talking about?" Hava asked as she came into the room.
"Jane is talking about boy trouble," Mal answers.
"Ah," Hava exclaims and then goes over to her own bed and lies down on it.
"Mal, Hava, do you like?" Evie asked showing them a blue leather dress she was working on at the table.
Hava nods, "Yes it's definitely your color."
Mal looked up from her drawing. "Yeah, it's cute, really brings out your eyes."
"I know." Evie said smiling big.
"I'll never get a boyfriend," Jane complained as she sat on Evie's bed.
"What's wrong with that?" Hava asked, who never cared too much for dating, but also because of the fact that her father never approved of her dating anyone.
"Yeah," Mal agreed, "Boyfriends are overrated."
"And how would you two know?" Evie asked with a smirk, "Neither of you ever had one."
"Because my father is all that I need," Hava answers.
"And I don't need one, E," Mal said, "They're a waste of time."
Evie gasped the smirk coming off her face. "I forgot to do Chad's homework. Oh, no! Oh, no, no no," Evie said as she got up from the table she was sitting at and ran over to grab a backpack.
"You're doing homework for someone else?" Hava asked frowning.
"Yeah Chad Charming he is so dreamy," Evie said as she brought the bag back over to the table. Hava shook her head at her friend.
"He is using you Evie. Guys like that are too stupid to do their own work so they have someone else do it for them," Hava replies.
"And that is exactly what I mean," Mal said. Before Evie could respond there was a knock on the door. A girl with short black hair came walking in.
"Hey guys! I'm Lonnie," the girl said. The three VKs were silent. "My mom's Mulan," she said. Hava's red eyes stared blankly, so did Mal's green eyes and Evie went back to working on Chad's homework. "No? Anyways I love what you have done with Jane's hair. And I know you hate us, and well you're evil, but do you think you could do mine?"
"I'm sorry," Hava sat up on her bed and glared at Lonnie, "But you come in here, into our dorm, and call us evil. And then you want us to do your hair? Who do you think you are?"
Mal nodded in agreement as she looked at Lonnie like she had lost her mind. "Yeah, why would I do that for you?" she asked.
"I'll pay you 50 dollars," she said holding a money bag. Evie piped up.
"Good answer. I need to buy more material," Evie said taking the money. "Let's see, I'm thinking, we lose the bangs, maybe some layers and some highlights-" Evie continued. She was interrupted by Lonnie.
"Yeah, yeah," Lonnie said. "I want it cool like Mal's and Hava's," she added.
"Really the split ends too?" Evie asked looking at Mal. Mal glared at her. Evie smirked in return and shook the money bag. Mal growled and went over to her spell book.
"Okay," Mal said flipping through the pages, "Beware, forswear, replace the old with cool hair." Mal recited the spell moving her finger along. Just like that Lonnie's hair changed from short and black, to long, curly, and brown. Lonnie went to take a look and was speechless.
"I know, I know," Evie said from behind Lonnie. "It looks like a mop on your head. You know what? Let's cut it off layer it-" Evie continued. Lonnie stopped her once more.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Lonnie cried. "I love it!"
"You do?" Evie asked sounding surprised.
"It's just..." Lonnie trailed off then ripped her skirt. "Now I'm cool." Hava raises an eyebrow questionably. How does tearing your skirt make you look cool?
"Like ice," Mal said with smirk.
Jane walked over to Lonnie and ripped her skirt as Lonnie had done. Then she gasped seeming to realize what she has done.
"Oh no!" Jane gasped, "What did I just do? My mom's going to kill me."
Lonnie laughed and dragged Jane out with her. "Let's go show off our new looks."
Hava closed the door and groaned, "I hate them, hate them both, and I really hope there aren't more girls like them."
A minute or two later, Carlos came in holding a small dog, "Hey guys," Carlos greeted.
Hava gasped and smiled happily. "Carlos! You've gotten over your fear of dogs? Oh, I'm so proud of you!" Hava hugged her friend and gently petted the dog. "What's his name?"
"This is Dude, the campus mutt." Carlos explained.
A few minutes later Jay came into the room proudly showing off his new jersey for tourney. He felt a sense of accomplishment for making the tourney team and his player number was 8. Carlos whistled from where he sat with Dude and Hava on the floor, looking at something from his laptop. Jay then went over to Mal.
"Did your plan work with Jane?" Jay asks Mal, "Are you going over to see the wand?"
"Do you think that I would be going through every single spell in this book if I hadn't completely struck out?" Mal snapped looking through the spell book.
"Oh, someone's in a bad mood," Carlos comments.
"She's not the only one," Hava mutters.
"My mom is counting on me," Mal said giving Carlos a flick on the head, "I can't let her down."
"We can do this," Jay said getting everyone's attention, "If we all stick together."
Hava nodded agreeing. "The sooner we get that wand the sooner we can get out of this nightmare."
"And we won't go back until we do," Mal adds, "Because we're rotten."
"To the core." They all said together.
Evie then spoke up. "Oh yeah, I found out that Fairy Godmother blesses Ben with the wand at the coronation and we all get to go. I have nothing to wear, of course."
Before anyone could yell at Evie for not saying that sooner there was another knock on the door.
"What?" Evie asked, not understanding why everyone was looking at her.
"Hold that thought," Mal told her, as she was getting up to answer the door.
Mal opened the door to reveal Ben with a smile on his face, "Hey, Mal. I didn't see you guys today, I was just wondering if you had any questions or anything that you needed."
"How about adding some competent teachers?" Hava mutters.
''Not that I know of," Mal replied unsure looking at her friends.
Ben nodded and started to walk away. "Okay, if you need anything just..."
"Wait is it true that we all get to go to your coronation?" Mal asked quickly.
"Yeah, the whole school goes," Ben answered.
"Wow that is beyond exciting," Mal said, "Do you think it's a possibility that the five of us could stand in the front row next to the Fairy Godmother just so we could soak up all that goodness?"
Ben frowned sadly, "I wish you could, but up front it's just me, my folks and my girlfriend."
"And your girlfriend?" Mal repeats with a nod.
"Yeah, I'm sorry," Ben apologizes sounding genuine.
"Okay, bye thanks," Mal then slammed the door on Ben before he could say anything else.
"Seriously Mal?" Hava groaned rubbing her temples. "Could you be anymore conspicuous?"
Ignoring what Hava said, Mal turned to her friends and said with a mischievous smile, "I think it's time that Bennyboo got himself a new girlfriend."
Hava threw her hands up in a gesture, "Well I'm out, because my father said no dating and I promised him no dating while I'm here."
"That's not going to be a problem," Mal said to the immortal princess, "But I am going to need a love spell."
I don't know when my next chapter will be up, but there will be some more Hava/Emrys interaction that will be coming.
