Psychic Pals Part 1
"Hang ten, y'all"!
"Woohoo"!
"Trollskabunga"!
"Oh my guh"!
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"!
"Surf's up"!
That was the sound of some of the Trolls that were having fun out on the waves, surfing.
On surfboards were currently Poppy, Smidge, Sid, Cooper, Prince D, Rhythm, Blues, McJagger, Val, Demo, Melody, Holly, Gust, Buckaroo, and Dante, while Synth, Stereo, and Laguna were surfing the waves on their fins.
"Yeehaw," Gust declared while he tossed his hat up as he surfed on a little wave.
Synth was surfing on the edge of a really big wave, cheering while he did so, and Stereo was right behind him.
Melody and Val were having a little surfing contest, playfully bumping into each other to try and get one another to be the first to wipe out their surfboard. Then, Demo's surfboard slid in and accidentally bumped into both girls, making them fall into the ocean. Demo looked over, saw what he had done, and grinned, chuckling a bit.
Sid was curled up on his surfboard, his eyes squeezed tight, and he was panicking, screaming in fright, "I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die! I'm goona die"!
"Uh, Sid," Buckaroo's voice asked him, adding, "We're only at the shallow end ov the ocean."
Sid slowly opened his eyes and saw that he and Buckaroo were only at the shallow ends of the ocean, making him look at them nervously, sheepishly grinning out of embarrassment.
McJagger was surfing on a tall wave and decided to perform a fun trick: balancing on his front paws. Laguna caught sight of her boyfriend performing the fun trick and blushed, blowing McJagger a kiss.
McJagger smiled and lifted one of his front paws to catch the kiss and placed it on his chest, locking the kiss at his heart.
Prince D surfed up next to his best friend and gently tapped him on the back, causing McJagger to lose his balance and wipe out on his board, falling into the ocean.
Dante was sitting on his surfboard, gripping the edges of it tightly and screaming while he rode the waves.
"Woohoo," Holly cheered as she, Cooper, Rhythm, and Blues rode their boards through the tunnel wave.
Under the water, Trollex and Aggie were having their own fun: they were riding the force of the waves pulling them forward underwater hand-in-hand. When a wave was forming, Trollex and Aggie swam up to the base of the wave, and they rode the currents produced, being projected forward.
"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE," Aggie cheered as she and Trollex rode another current, laughing together and having fun.
Poppy was surfing a wave on top of the ocean water, while everyone back on the beach was watching and/or busy having their own fun on the beach.
Poppy cheered as another wave appeared under the surfboard, and she rode it to a nearby part of the ocean, laughing and enjoying herself.
Suddenly, Poppy felt something coming as her eyes became wide, and a vision played in her mind.
The vision showed Synth floating helplessly in the air, shouting, "Yo, don't just stand there-," but then, the vision seemed to just...pause mysteriously.
And it wasn't only the vision that was paused, but Poppy herself appeared frozen in place.
This was noticed by Biggie back on the shore, as he was busy making a sand sculpture of Mr. dinkles, as he commented to Branch, who was sunbathing nearby, "Uh, Branch, does Poppy look...frozen to you"?
Branch looked up from his foil tanning fold and saw his wife just standing on her surfboard, looking off somewhere and not moving.
Concerned, he placed the tanning fold down, walked over to the ocean's edge, and called out to Poppy, "Poppy."?
When he didn't get a response from her, he tried a little louder, saying, "Poppy? Poppy"?
Then, Branch saw that a massive wave was heading right towards where Poppy was, and there was no way that, unless she moved now, she would be able to escape its impacting presence in time.
"Poppy" Branch shouted at the top of his lungs.
Finally, Poppy seemed to snap back out of the vision trance and had just enough time to turn her head and see the massive wave that was about to envelop her, and screamed in a panic as the wave tossed her off her surfboard and into the water.
"Poppy," Branch shouted, worried his wife had gotten hurt, while the other Trolls back on the beach gasped in concern.
Underwater, Trollex and Aggie noticed the way Poppy fell in and became worried when they saw that she wasn't moving under the water.
"Oh no; I think something happened to Queen Poppy," Trollex commented worryingly.
"Don't worry, Poppy! We'll save you," Aggie declared as she and Trollex quickly swam up to the Pop Queen and helped bring her back up to the surface of the water.
The couple broke the surface together to get Poppy back onto the shore.
The Trolls that were out surfing saw Aggie and Trollex bringing Poppy to the shore and, worried Poppy was hurt, surfed over to the shore to see what happened.
Aggie pulled Poppy onto the sandy shore and laid her out while Trollex asked the incoming Trolls that arrived on the surfboards, "I think she might be unconscious; does any Troll know CPR"?
"I do, your Technoness," McJagger replied as he jumped off his surfboard and ran to Poppy's unconscious body, placing his paws on her chest, and doing chest compressions, while everyone watched in concern.
Just as he did his 19th compression, Poppy woke up, and the first thing she did was spit up a large gush of seawater, splashing the first responder."
"Ew," some of the Trolls said, cringing a bit in disgust, but were relieved to see Poppy alive.
Poppy coughed harshly, asking, "Am I...alive"?
"Poppy, thank goodness," Branch commented while hugging his wife close, happy that she was ok.
"What happened out there, y'all," Delta asked curiously.
"We don't know; we just Poppy standing there, floating, and then BOOM! That wave came straight out of nowhere," Demo answered.
Branch picked up Poppy, saying, "I'm gonna bring her back inside our cabin and help her recover."
"Good idea, Branch. I'll get some water from the dining room; she's probably thirsty after drinking some of the salty ocean water," Aggie said as she flew into the resort, with everyone else entering the resort and heading to their rooms.
In Poppy and Branch's room, all the leaders and ambassadors, who had changed out of their beach wear and were in their regular clothes, were in the room with the Pop couple, while Branch was sitting on his bed next to Poppy, who was wrapped in a big fluffy towel and had an ice pack on her head.
"Man, you had us worried there, Popsqueak," Barb commented.
"Yeah, y'all looked laake ayy lifeless stick out on the watuurr; thank goodness Aggie ayn' Trollex saved y'all," Holly added.
"Are you okay, Queen P," Quincy commented.
"What happened," Essence asked the Pop Queen.
Poppy coughed a bit before saying, "I don't know. It was really weird."
"What exactly was weird about what happened," Trollzart inquired.
"Did something catch your eye," Synth asked.
"Yeah, y'all looked laake y'all was starin' at somethin' befawe that there wave hit ya," Delta added while raising her eyebrow curiously.
"Poppy, what exactly did happen out there? What did you see," Branch asked his wife.
Poppy bit her bottom lip, unsure if she could tell Branch or the other leaders about what she truly did see, but Branch held her hand gently and gave her a reassuring smile, saying, "Hey, we just want to help you out, Poppy. We're your friends; I'm your husband, and we all care about you. If there's something you know, you can tell us."
Poppy smiled before she took a deep breath in and out, saying, "Actually, yeah, I did see something. See, this is gonna sound weird, but...I...had a vision."
All the leaders and ambassadors were shocked to hear this.
"Wait, you...had a vision," Val asked, stunned.
"Like a real psychic vision like Aggie has," Dante inquired.
Poppy nodded, saying, "I don't know how or why, but I'm...able to have visions and...today, this vision was...different."
"Different? Different how," Trollzart asked curiously.
"I had a vision, but it froze," Poppy replied.
"What'd you see," Trollex asked.
"Synth was floating in midair," Poppy answered.
"Floating, yo? How'd it end? Do I fall? Do I get hurt," Synth asked, anxious to know how Poppy's vision ended.
Poppy shook her head while saying, "I don't know, the vision froze. I don't know how it ends."'
"Well, you can't just tell a guy he's floating and leave him hanging," Low-Note Jones commented.
"Yeah, yo! It's more suspenseful than finding out the ending of a really good movie! I need to know," Synth exclaimed, whimpering nervously like a timid puppy.
"How did this become your problem? Popsqueak's the one who just had a frozen vision," Barb commented while crossing her arms.
"You're right. Sorry. My brother's just the one who's life is on the line. But sure, let's make this all about you," Trollex commented in an annoyed tone of voice towards the Rock Queen.
"Everyone, calm down. What matters most is that, for now, we figure out what's causing Poppy's visions to freeze like this and fix it," Essence addressed.
"How do we fix it," Delta asked curiously.
"More importantly, Poppy, how did you end up getting psychic visions," Dante inquired.
Poppy replied. "I honestly don't now how; it just happened one day when I was with Trollex at the radio station."
"If we're coming clean about this here," Trollzart started to speak up, saying, "It appears Poppy is not the only one with this similar inquiry; I, too, have experienced a psychic vision during our Grudgby match."
"Whel, ay ken't keep it in eithuurr; ay had one too! It was on the day we went lookin' faw jobs," Delta confessed.
"Eh, I had one also the day that the Harmonious Land leaders came to our condo for the meeting when our friends were afflicted with those pesky potions," Barb replied.
"We both had a vision too the day we were giving Aggie her driving lessons and she crashed the ship into the restaurant," Quincy admitted.
"Even I had one on Picture Day when I saw Synth come all painted," Trollex mentioned.
"Wait, you all had visions all this time? How come none of us knew about it," Val asked, stunned, along with the other shocked ambassadors, to hear this.
"Whel, Gust, Buckaroo, ayn' ay knew about Delta's visshuns since sh told us 'bout 'em, but we didn't know the rest of the leaduurrs were havin' 'em too," holly admitted.
"Same here, except I knew about my bro's visions when he told me on Picture Day," Synth added.
"Branch, baby, what about you? Have you had any visions yet," Low-Note Jones asked.
Branch answered, "Actually...no. I haven't had any yet."
"That's kind of odd," Barb commented.
"For now, though, I think we should put our questions aside about why we all appear to have visions, and focus on helping Poppy out and fix whatever is happening with her visions," Essence stated.
Meanwhile, in the resort's dining room, Aggie was getting a cup of nice, cold, fresh water, so Poppy could drink it and rehydrate.
Suddenly, Aggie felt a vision coming as her eyes widened, and she looked off in the distance, feeling the vision coming.
In her mind, the vision that played showed a beaker sitting on a table in what looked like a strange laboratory, and inside the beaker was some strange, cloudy, murky, foggy air, but there was something off about the air.
After the vision ended, Aggie snapped back into it, saying, "What was that"?
However, Aggie's vision face did not go unnoticed as an elderly male Magic Classical Troll with a white medical coat approached her, saying, "Um, excuse me, miss, but perhaps I could have a minute of your time"?
Aggie turned around and saw the male MMT, saying, "Oh, hello, sir. Yes, I'll spare a minute; is everything ok"?
"Oh, yes, everything's grand. I, uh, couldn't help but notice you seemed to have something on your mind," the male Magic Classical Troll replied.
Aggie, worried that he saw she had a vision, tried to play it off, saying, "Oh? Um, y-yeah, just uh...was worried about a friend of mine. She had a surfing accident earlier, so, I'm just getting her some water to drink."
The male Magic Classical Troll understood, replying, "Oh, very understandable. Well, I sure hope that your friend gets well. And if you're interested, you might want to stop by where I work; here's my card," and gave Aggie a business card.
Aggie looked at the card, reading, "Dr. Quisenberry's Center For Psy-," before she saw something that made her surprised, asking, "For Psychic Research"?
The male Magic Classical Troll nodded, saying, "I am Dr. Quisenberry himself. Perhaps you might want to visit my research center someday, in case you want us to help you better understand your visions."
"Wow, I'll definitely keep this in mind, Dr. Quisenberry, and you can call me Aggie," Aggie replied, surprised the scientist seemed to know that she was psychic, as she watched the male Magic Classical Troll soon take his leave.
Aggie couldn't believe it; there were other MMTs that were psychic like her? She already knew that her grandfathers were psychic, but she didn't expect any other MMTs to be psychic too! She had to show this to her friends and tell them the exciting news!
As Aggie flew over to Poppy and Branch's room, she opened the door and declared, "I'm back, guys. Poppy, I've brought you some water."
Aggie gave the Pop Queen the cup of water, as Poppy smiled, saying, "Thanks, Aggie," and carefully sipped on the water.
"How's she holding up, guys" Aggie asked the leaders and ambassadors.
"Popsqueak's getting a bit better; she's almost not dizzy anymore," Barb reported.
"A little rest should help Poppy be better in no time," Branch added, hugging Poppy close to him, making the Pop Queen blush and smile warmly.
"Though, Aggie, we got something we need to tell you; it's kind of important," Low-Note Jones told Aggie.
Aggie turned around, saying, "Perfect timing, Low-Note Jones, because I also have some news to tell you guys too! You're not gonna believe what I came across"!
"Wel, you're not gonna believe what happened; the reason why Poppy froze on the surfboard earlier was that she had a frozen vision," Trollzart told Aggie.
Aggie, at first, smiled, saying, "Oh cool, a frozen vis- wait, WHAT," before her jaw dropped in shock, and her eyes widened in surprise.
"Hold the beat drop; Poppy, you had a vision," Aggie asked the Pop queen while turning around to face her.
Poppy nodded, saying, "Yes, truth is, I've been having visions for a little while now."
"All the leaders had each had a vision, well...except Branch," Val pointed out, with Branch frowning a bit when Val called him out on being the only leader who didn't have a psychic vision yet.
"Wait, really, guys? You all have had visions? I mean, Trollex, I already know about your vision during Picture Day, but for the rest of you, sans Branch, you guys had visions," Aggie asked the leaders, who all nodded in response.
"Sorry we didn't tell you right away, Aggie; we didn't know how these visions were happening," Quincy replied.
"Or why. They seemed to appear as mysteriously as our magic did," Essence mentioned.
"We were keepin' it ayy secret faw ayy whaale...'till now, when Poppy revealed 'bout huurr visshuns, ayn' we wound up admitting when we got 'em too," Delta added.
"Some of us knew about one or two of the leaders having visions, yo, even before you just found out," Synth added.
Aggie smiled, saying, "Hey, it's ok, guys. On the plus side, this is actually pretty cool! But back to the topic at hand, Poppy, what do you mean your vision was frozen earlier"?
"Based on how she explained it, she said she was having a vision, and then it froze in the middle of it, just like that," Branch replied, just before Poppy could even speak.
Poppy frowned a bit, saying, "Branch, I could've told her myself. I may be a bit ill, but I'm not totally bedridden."
"But Poppy, you had an accident earlier because of this frozen vision, and you should rest a bit before you do anything else, in case you get any dizzy spells," Branch informed his wife.
"Branch, I'm not dizzy at all," Poppy retorted back.
Then, the Pop rulers argued in some unison, saying together, "I am not! Knew you were gonna say that! Quit it! Stop saying what I'm saying! Troll Louise, why do we always have to think so much alike"?!
"Guys, arguin' ain't gonna fix this," Holly declared.
'"Yeah, guys. I know what happened earlier was very crazy, but at ease," Trollex instructed.
"Yeah,, ever since we got to the beach, you both have had these "Acting in unison" moments which break into pointless arguments over nothing," Val addressed.
"Honestly, from my perspective, it appears to be the most you've both ever been in sync," Dante pointed out.
"That's what we're fighting about," Poppy and Branch declared in unison.
"Well, I think you guys are lucky to be like each other. As they say, great couples think alike," Quincy addressed.
"Plus, ya both were great friends long befawe ya hitched together ayn' got married, ayn' good friends often have similar maands," Delta added.
"But we're not that much alike; we're individuals," Branch replied."
"Yeah, we're different Trolls with different ideas," Poppy added.
"Well, then you should respect each other's ideas. After all, understanding one another's differences helps you to bond closer, as friends, and as romantics as well," Aggie commented.
"Perhaps we should continue our discussion over some food. Anything you two want for lunch," Low-Note Jones asked the two Pop Trolls.
"Pizza," Branch and Poppy looked at one another when they saw they answered in unison again.
"Pork chops with string beans and apple sauce," they both declared in unison again, trying to break the synchronicity cycle.
"Spanakopita," they both declared in unison again.
"You don't even know what spanakopita is," both Pop Trolls retorted back in unison, failing to break their cycle of thinking and speaking in unison.
"What's spanakopita, yo," Synth asked curiously, adding, "I might have that for lunch"!
Suddenly, Poppy felt another vision coming, as it was the same one she was seeing earlier, but once again, it froze, and Poppy was seen sitting on the bed, frozen still.
Everyone saw that Poppy was frozen, as Branch gently shook his wife in concern, saying, "Poppy? Poppy"?
"Poppy," aggie asked while clapping her hands in front of Poppy's face, but got no response.
"Poppy, snap out ov it," Delta declared while snapping her fingers.
"Poppy, baby, are you ok," Low-Note Jones asked while waving a glowing neon band in front of Poppy's face, but got no response.
"The same thing happened on the beach today, just like this," Val commented.
"Aggie? Has this ever happened to you before during times we weren't around while you were doing your music lessons," Trollex asked his girlfriend curiously.
Aggie looked really confused, replying with, "No, this hasn't happened before, but I'm sure it's nothing. Branch, how long was she stuck earlier"?
"Not this long," Branch replied worryingly, seeing Poppy was frozen a lot longer than before, adding, "Does this mean the love of my life is frozen"?
"Maybe we should throw water in her face," Synth suggested.
"Fish boy prince, calm down, all right? That only happens in the movies," Barb commented.
Branch held his wife's hand, saying, "Poppy, if you can hear me, don't worry, we're gonna find a way to help you."
Aggie suddenly got an idea, saying, "Guys, this might sound crazy, but I know somebody that can help. Based on his career expertise from first impressions, he seems to have seen it all."
"Who are you talking about, Aggie," Trollzart asked curiously.
Everyone looked at Aggie, who pulled out the business card she got from Dr. Quisenberry to show her friends and explain the place to them.
"Is this the place," Essence asked as Aggie, the leaders, and the ambassadors were all standing outside the front of a giant white building.
"According to the GPS on my phone, this is it," Aggie replied while looking at her phone.
Poppy, who was still frozen in place while being carried by Holly and Val, still didn't show any sign of reacting.
Aggie led everyone inside the building and went up to the floor where Quisenberry's office was. It was labeled thanks to the door with Dr. Quisneberry's name.
Aggie hesitantly knocked on the door and waited for someone to open it.
The door soon opened, revealing to be Dr. Quisenberry himself, as he said, "Ah, it's you, Aggie! Welcome," before he noticed the Normal Trolls standing by her and said while bowing, "And an honor to meet you, your Majesties, and your proud ambassadors."
"It's nice to meet you as well," Dante said as he and Trollzart bowed towards the male Magic Classical Troll.
"Dr. Quisenberry, we need your help; something happened to one of my friends, and it's in regards to...psychic visions," Aggie told the doctor.
Dr. Quisenberry was surprised to hear this, saying, "Oh my! a Normal Troll possessing psychic abilities is quite a surprise, but I'm sure I can be able to help. Which one of your friends is in need of help"?
Val and Holly came forward, carrying Poppy, while Branch stepped forward, saying, "It's my wife: Queen Poppy. She said she was having a vision, and then it froze, and it caused her to freeze like this."
Dr. Quisenberry wrote this down on his clipboard before taking a look at the frozen Normal Pop Troll, saying, "This is quite peculiar. Bring her inside the research center; I can perform an examination inside."
Val and Holly helped to bring Popp inside the room, as everyone walked inside, following the scientist.
Inside, the research center was an absolutely amazing sight to see! The first thing you could see were a lot of different machines at play. Some were aiding the Magic Musical Trolls in the development of their psychic powers, others were mainly the battery source for those machines and were connected by a lot of wires. Scientists were busy typing away on the computers and studying the fellow MMTs through a series of different trials and experiments to collect data for the research they were doing. In between two battery generators were the office where the main head scientist was, doing the paperwork about his research on the different psychic abilities each MMT had.
"Wow," Aggie and the Normal Troll said in unison.
"This place is so *imitates airhorn noises*," Synth declared in excitement.
"So groovy here," Essence mentioned in awe.
"Hot dang! This oughta be the best psychic research centuurr ay've evuurr seen," Holly commented in amazement.
"Impressive, isn't it? Welcome to the Quisenberry Research Center for Psychically Gifted Trolls," Dr. Quisenberry announced.
"So, doc, there are really more psychic Trolls here," Barb asked curiously.
"Yes, indeed. Many MMTs with psychic abilities come here so we can examine their abilities, develop their psychic skills, and test what they are capable of doing with their skills."
"Amazing," Aggie said in awe, impressed to see a lot of other MMTs who were psychic just like her.
Soon, Dr. Quisenberry ushered Val and Holly to lay Poppy on a flat table, which they did, and he carefully pulled a lever to lift the table so, while Poppy was laying on it, it was moving upright, so he could examine her.
Once Poppy was in the right position, he pulled out a flashlight and shined it in Poppy's eyes, taking a closer look into them before he announced, "Well, in all my years, I've never seen anything like this in my life."
"What," everyone said in shock.
"Does this mean you can't help her," Branch asked worryingly?
"Don't worry, your majesty. I can help her, I just need to see what I'm exactly working with," Dr. Quisenberry replied reassuringly.
He walked around Poppy, taking careful note of all her frozen details, commenting during his examination, "Interesting. Fascinating. Intriguing."
"Well, we tried everything to snap her out of it, but she's still frozen solid," Dante commented sadly, ushering to Poppy's still-frozen body.
Dr. Quisenberry gave it some thought before suggesting, "Have you tried throwing water in her face"?
That question made Synth reply, "No. 'Cause, apparently that only happens in movies, according to Barb."
Barb saw some of the leaders turn their heads and give her disapproving looks, making the Rock Queen sheepishly grin, saying, "I was only joking when i said it."
Dr. Quisenberry then picked up a cup that was full of water and poured it onto Poppy's face, which made Poppy snap out of it, and return to reality, asking while trying to wipe some of the water off her face, "What's going on?
"Poppy, you're ok," Aggie replied happily while Branch ran up to his wife and hugged her, saying, "Oh Poppy, I'm happy you're not frozen anymore"!
Poppy hugged Branch back, but was also confused at the same time, asking, "Branch? Aggie? Guys, where are we"?
Aggie reassured Poppy, saying, "We're in the Quisenberry Research Center for Psychically Gifted Trolls. Poppy, this is Dr. Quisenberry," and introduced the male Magic Classical Troll scientist to her.
"A pleasure to meet you, your Popness," Dr. Quisenberry replied.
"Not to worry, Poppy, this man here's gonna help figure out what's going on with your visions and help fix them," Low-Note Jones commented.
"You can fix them, right," Trollex curiously asked the scientist.
"Of course," Dr. Quisenberry happily replied before he asked Poppy, "But first, Poppy, would you like a glass of water? To drink, of course, not to throw again."
Poppy nodded, saying, "Sure, I'd love a glass of water."
Dr. Quisenberry then turned around and called for a Troll, "Darna."
A female Magic Pop Troll with yellow hair tied in two pigtail buns and yellow eyes stood up from her seat and said, "Coming up," and made a glass of water levitate from the table she was sitting at and brought it right into Poppy's hand.
Everyone was very surprised to see this, especially Aggie, because she knew it was telekinesis, but the MMT who was using it had no aura surrounding the item she picked up. It was epic!
"Woah," everyone said in surprise.
"Oh-ho," Holly chuckled in awe.
"That was so cool," Val declared.
"She just levitated that glass, and there was no aura surrounding it," Trollex pointed out.
Darna walked over to Dr. Quisenberry, who explained, "Some Trolls have visions, like Aggie, or your friend Poppy. Others channel their psychic energies differently."
"Psychic energy? What's that," Branch asked curiously.
Dr. Quisenberry explained, "Well, Trolls who are psychic are able to perform many elemental, spiritual, and even mental feats with the power of their mind. Some are clairvoyants, which refers to those who are capable of seeing the future."
"Just like you, Aggie," Trollex replied while kissing Aggie on the cheek, making Aggie blush and giggle.
"And then, there are those who are able to use their psychic energies in different manners. For example, Darna here is a telepath, meaning she is able to read your thoughts, but she also has a special telekinetic skill that allows her to use the common MMT ability: telekinesis, but without having/producing an aura surrounding the object," Dr. Quisenberry explained.
"Now that is awesome," Delta commented.
Dr. Quisenberry saw Poppy drinking the cup of water that was levitated to her and asked, "How's the water"?
"A lot warmer than the one thrown at me earlier," Poppy replied.
"Not to worry: Fluga will cool it down for you," Darna commented.
A male Magic Pop Troll that wore black glasses, a blut t-shirt, jeans, and a light blue ski cap on his head, came over and moved his hand over Poppy's cup of water, where cold energy surrounded the water and made it cooler, surprising everyone again.
"Dude! He just almost froze that water," Barb stated in disbelief with a happy chuckle.
"Wow! and I thought only Magic Yodeling Trolls could control snow and ice since eit's their magic ability," Aggie commented in amazement.
Dr. Quisenberry explained, "Kevin can freeze things with his mind."
"Whoa! That's cool! Literally, yo," Synth replied, chucking.
Then, a male Magic Techno Troll walked over to Darna, saying, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kevin freezes stuff, and Darna levitates stuff, but we all know my telepath powers are way more impressive."
"No, they're not," Darna replied.
"Yes, they are," the Magic Techno argued back.
"I'm guessing he, too, can read minds like Darna can," Trollzart asked curiously.
Dr. Quisenberry nodded, saying, "This is Neon. Sometimes he gets a little psychically competitive."
"I can't help it when I know I'm at the top of the psychic chain," Neon admitted proudly.
"The only thing you're at the top of is the list of biggest pains in the butt," Darna retorted back.
"And over there is Carlita, who can do materialization," Dr. Quisenberry explained while showing Aggie and the Normal Trolls a female Magic Funk Troll who did circles with her hands in front of her and made a star-shaped pinata appear from nowhere.
"Woah! Instant pinata making?! That's incredible," Poppy commented in awe.
"Trust me, you haven't seen nothing yet, Trolls. Check out my friend Bello," Darna commented while pointing to a male Magic Rock Troll who was focusing on a marshmallow that was held on a stick, and then, he shot a beam of energy from his forehead towards it, roasting the marshmallow.
"Holy fire! He just roasted that marshmallow with his mind," Val commented in excitedness.
"Now that's rocking," Barb commented while making the Rock hand gesture with her right hand.
"His ability is combustion bending, being able to explode things with his mind," Darna explained.
Delta then saw a young Magic Country Troll with brown hair tied up in two twisted buns, who wore a silver short sleeve shirt with flowers on it, and blue overalls over her shirt. The little girl reminded her of Clampers, making her say, "Awww, ayn' what does this lil cutie does"?
Then, to the Normal Country Troll's surprise, the little Magic Country Troll's hair started to spark, and she made electricity come out and zap them at the tips of Delta's hooves, making the mayor quickly move her feet back and forth to avoid getting zapped while saying, "Ow! Hey, hey"!
"Hey, don't go zappin' my boss," Holly told the little Magic Country Troll, who soon stopped and walked over to Dr. Quisenberry, who said, "Sara Lee is electro-kinetic."
"Those are some powerful buns," Delta commented in surprise.
"Yeah, I've never seen a psychic ability where you could launch electricity like that before," Essence commented in surprise.
Branch, however, was getting frantic about wanting Poppy to get better again, and spoke up, saying, "Uh. Dr. Quisenberry, this is nice and all, but can we get back to focusing on helping poppy's visions get better"?
Dr. Quisenberry saw Branch made a good point and replied, "Oh, right. Yes. Well, I'd like to run some tests. And get to the bottom of what's causing your wife to glitch, Branch."
"How are you gonna do that, Dr. Quisenberry," Poppy asked curiously.
A few minutes later...
"By using this V-Activator 4.0, we can induce a vision, thus allowing us to measure Poppy's psychic energy," Dr. Quisenberry explained while Poppy was seen wearing a silver robotic helmet on her head that was wired to a large machine beside her.
"That's some helmet, Dr. Quisenberry," Quincy commented, adding, "Did you make it yourself"?
Before the doctor could answer, "Poppy asked nervously, "Is it gonna hurt"?
For fun, the scientist thought it;d be fun to do a little joke, and replied with, "Ever been stung in the head by a thousand bees"?
"No," Poppy frantically replied, worried it was gonna hurt.
Branch quickly rushed to Poppy's side, saying, "He's joking, Poppy. He's joking," before he turned towards Dr. Quisenberry and asked, almost in a threatening manner, "You better be...you better be joking"!
"I'm joking," Dr. Quisenberry replied.
"Okay. You joking," Branch asked again, just for extra clarification to know that it was a joke, a genuine joke.
The scientist nodded again, saying, "I promise you, I'm joking. This... this won't hurt a bit."
"Probbaly not smart to joke around machinery, Dr. Quisenberry," Aggie commented with a raised eyebrow.
Then, Dr. Quisenberry flicked the switch to turn the machine on so it'd start monitoring Poppy's psychic energy. But...nothing happened, no running engine, no flashing lights, not even one little response.
This made the scientist confused, commenting, "That's curious. This machine usually sparks something."
"Oh, you want to spark something? Put Popsqueak and her husband in a room together, and they'll spark something special together," Val commented.
"Not that kind of spark, but what I mean is that the machine doesn't appear to have a connection with Poppy," the male Magic Classical Troll explained.
"You want to see a connection? You should see Popsqueak and Branch when they argue in synchronicity," Barb added with a chuckle.
Hearing this, Dr. Quisenberry came up with a thought and asked, "Say, would you two happen to be close friends"?
"Yeah, Branch is my best friend," Poppy replied.
"And Poppy's my closest companion," Branch added.
"Psychic friends? Fascinating," the scientist commented while writing in his clipboard.
Branch then clarified, saying, "No, no. Poppy's psychic, as are the other leaders, and Aggie, I'm not."
Dr. Quisenberry was amazed, writing it down while saying, "Even more fascinating"!
"What? What's amazing," Aggie asked curiously.
Dr. Quisenberry explained, "There's a theory that suggests close friends are connected on a deeper level than most friendships. So, although Branch may not have visions, his psychic energy may be connected with that of Queen Poppy since they appear to be the closest with one another. This could be just the thing that sparks a vision."
Another few minutes later...
Branch was now lying on an upward table wearing another helmet just like Poppy's, and both Trolls were right next to each other. But, once again, no response came from the machine.
"Well, this sparked nothing," Dr. Quisenberry commented, a bit disappointed that nothing had worked yet.
"Well, since there's no spark, what do you say we get out of here," Barb declared, stretching her arms up tiredly.
"Barb, we are here to help our friend, remember," Essence told the Rock Queen.
Barb groaned, saying, "But this is taking forever! It's already noon"!
"But Poppy has a condition, and we have to help cure her of her condition," Branch informed Barb.
Poppy then commented, "You know, maybe this whole "vision freezing" thing isn't so and. It's probably not so worrisome."
"Poppy, your health and well-being is on the line for this. What if you freeze again in the middle of the street or worse? You could get seriously hurt or who knows what," Branch told Poppy.
"Branch, do you always have to assume the worst for me? I can handle things fine, thank you," Poppy retorted back.
Before the two Pop leaders can go back to bickering, Aggie stepped in, saying, "Guys, stop! Why do you have to argue at s time like this? You're supposed to be best friends."
"Dr. Quisenberry, is there a way we could maybe pick this up a little later," Quincy asked curiously, wanting to help cut any residing tension.
Dr. Quisenberry then replied, "Actually, if you want, You're free to go outside if you want to, I only just need to see Poppy."
"But then, you won't need Dubstep anymore," Synth inquired.
"Nope, and we'll be able to gather his data remotely. He'll just have to wear a mobile device. You won't even know you're wearing it, your majesty," Dr. Quisenberry answered.
Branch was curious, unsure of if the helmet was gonna work.
"Uh, Branch, why are you wearing that glowing helmet," Smidge asked curiously.
Branch and the other leaders, and the ambassadors were currently on the beach, trying to relax, but Branch was struggling, as he had to wear a very glowy, high-tech helmet on his head. When the others asked what happened and why he had the helet, the leaders explained Poppy was "unwell" and visiting a doctor so she could get better, and the helmet was something "Poppy" made for him to wear as a confidence booster for once she "gets well" again.
"It's for Poppy, and it's only for a few hours," Branch replied as he relaxed in his beach chair, reading a book.
"Hey, Branch! We're gonna go catch some curls! You in," Prince D, who had a surfboard under his front leg, and was standing with Cooper, Synth, and Gust.
"Sure! I'm in," Branch said while getting up before he remembered he still had on the helmet, and remembered he couldn't;t take it into the water, or else it'll get wet.
"Are you really gonna wear that while you're out surfing," Dante, who was building a sandcastle, asked Branch when he saw him stand?
Branch sighed and answered, "No. I'm gonna take it off, go surfing out on the ocean, and then put it back on. Dr. Quisenberry will never even know."
But when Branch took the helmet off, it started to glow red and blare a siren, speaking in a robotic voice, "Please put the helmet back on. Please put the helmet back on."
Branch tried to bury it inside the picnic basket, but even inside, it still repeated, "Please put the helmet back on. Please put the helmet back on."
"Trollex, what do I do," Branch asked the Techno king, who was sitting with Aggie on a beach blanket next to him.
"Uh, I'd listen to the helmet and put the helmet back on," Trollex advised the Pop king, who grumbled while putting the helmet back on his head.
But back at the research center, while Poppy was still lying on the table, she discovered something she could do: apparently, somehow, she was able to move her limbs, and it caused Branch to, against his control, move his limbs just like she did, thanks to a technique called Limbulation, because of the connections through each other's helmets.
Seeing this, Poppy had a great idea and smiled, saying, "I always thought this day would come. Time to have some fun with Branch."
Back on the beach, Branch saw that his arms and legs were moving, out of his control, as he shouted, "What's happening to me"?!
Poppy skipped around the table, which made Branch skip around the beach, much to everyone's confusion.
When it was Hug Time, Poppy decided Branch would lead it, doing an air hug, which caused Branch to give a hug to Biggie, who was touched, saying, "Branch, how nice of you to lead Hug Time"!
Poppy lay on her back and mimicked making a snow angel, which Branch was forced onto the ground and made sand angels, with Cooper giggling and joining beside the startled Pop king, saying, "You sure are more fun today, Branch"!
Poppy even decided that she was gonna make Branch dance and played some music on a nearby radio, and while she danced, Branch was dancing the exact moves she was dancing, as everyone watched in confusion at first, while back at the research center, the MMTs were watching Poppy and laughing, thinking what she was doing was funny.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ice Ice Baby Glee Version~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Poppy: Yo, VIP! Let's kick it!
Branch screamed as he was forcefully dancing due to the Limbulation, and while everyone was confused at first, when they saw Branch dancing, they couldn't help but watch and cheer Branch on.
Poppy: Ice ice baby!
All right, stop! Collaborate and listen! Poppy's back with a brand-new invention!
McJagger and Cooper even wound up joining the Pop King's "Dance session" as his backup dancers while everyone cheered Branch on and bopped their heads to the supposed "Beat" Branch was dancing to, despite no music playing by him.
Poppy: Something grabs a hold of me tightly! Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly!
Will it ever stop? Yo, I don't know! Turn off the lights, ha, and I'll glow!
To the extreme, I rock a mic like a vandal! Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle!
Soon, Holly and Smidge ended up joining the two boys as additional back-up dancers, while Aggie started to play th same exact song Poppy was playing on her keytar, despite not knowing the simultaneous music playing at the moment.
Poppy: Dance! Go rush the speaker that booms! I'm fillin' your brain up with the music that zooms!
Catchy when I play a sick melody! Anything less than the best is a felony
Love it or leave it, you better gain way! You better hit the bull's eye; we Trolls don't play!
If there was a problem, yo, I'll solve it! Check out the hook while DJ Suki revolves it!
Meanwhile, back with Branch and the others, the dance session was becoming so much fun, a lot of the other Trolls were soon joining in, following Branch's dance moves, and even singing the song, while Branch was still a panicked mess, dancing against his will, the same moves Poppy was dancing, absent to his knowledge.
All: Ice ice baby, Vanilla! Ice ice baby!
A little while later, Poppy was chatting with Darna, Bello, Neon, and Carlita, talking about earlier.
"Wow, Poppy. That was pretty funny the way you limbulated your husband," Neon stated.
"She is gonna be so mad at you," Darna commented.
Poppy chuckled, saying, "Ha! How's he gonna know it was me? He's not psychic."
Poppy was about to get her answer when she saw the Aggie, the ambassadors, and the rest of the leaders come into the research center again to visit Poppy and check up on her, and greeting Poppy was a very frustrated Branch, who stormed up to Poppy, saying, "You made me dance against my will"!
"Well, you've been so uptight about me lately, I thought you could use some fun," Poppy retorted, adding, "You dance very well by the way."
"Only because I have to wear this dumb helmet because of your "condition," Branch sharply argued back.
Poppy felt offended, saying, "It is a condition"!
"Is it? Because if you ask me, I think it just seems like it's more of an attention-grabber," Branch remarked.
"It's a condition, Branch," Poppy argued back, the two Pop Trolls exchanging heated words to one another.
"It's attention," Branch shouted.
"Condition," Poppy shouted back.
"Attention"!
"Condition"!
"Both ov y'all, shut it down," Delta declared.
"Yeah, Poppy and Branch! There;s no need to argue," Aggie told both Pop leaders.
Dr. Quisenberry then noticed that the machine both Trolls were connected to seemed to spark something due to the argument, making him comment, "Wait, wait, wait. We're finally getting some psychic activity. I didn't think I'd ever have to say this, but you two: more arguing."
"No problem," Branch commented before Poppy interrupted her husband, saying, "I'll kick it off"!
Poppy started to list, "You're an overprotective, detail-oriented, sayin' everything I'm sayin' in absolute synchronicity, weird rations eatin'..." before suddenly, Poppy felt a vision coming, but once again, she froze.
Branch's frustrations quickly melted away when he saw his wife frozen again, asking in concern, "Poppy"?
"Uh-oh, she's frozen again," Low-Note Jones commented in worry.
Dr. Quisenberry wrote down the data he collected, saying, "This can only mean one thing. It appears that both of these leaders' arguing is causing a viscosity in Poppy's psychic prismatic field, which manifests itself as a catatonic mid-vision condition."
Aggie and the Normal Trolls were confused, as Dante asked, "I don't know what you said, but can you cure our friend"?
Dr. Quisenberry nodded, saying, "Yes. All I have to do is clean out the visions. But in order to do that, I'll have to remove them."
"Wait, you can...remove visions," Aggie asked, surprised to hear this.
"Yes, we'll transfer them out of Poppy so we can be able to clean them," Dr. Quisenberry explained.
They seemed to understand, while Holly asked, "Oh, well. Only temporarily, raheet, doc"?
Dr. Quisenberry looked at them with a hesitant look, explaining, "Well, that's the hope. But I should warn you there's a possibility she'll... lose them forever."
Aggie and her friends looked at one another in worry: should they take this risk? On the one hand, if it succeeds, Poppy's visions will be cleaned, and they'll work like normal. But, on the other hand, and if it doesn't...Poppy might not ever be psychic again.
"Is there any way to clean his visions without having to remove them," Essence asked on behalf of everyone?
Dr. Quisenberry sadly shook his head, saying, "I'm afraid there isn't," before saying reassuringly, "But don't worry. My associate, Dr. Jasmine, will oversee the procedure. She's the best in the field. Ah, here she is now."
The group turned their heads and saw a young female Magic Disco Troll with purple hair up in a ponytail, and brown eyes, who wore a pink turtleneck weather with brown-and-white square designs on them, and a white medical coat over it, was speaking on her cellphone, saying into it, "OMG, I totally over-conditioned."
Then, she looked up and saw Aggie and the Normal Trolls looking at her, making her say into the phone, "Oh, I have to go. I have a patient," and placed her phone away before she told the group. "Hello, I'm Dr. Jeweline. Your friend is in good hands."
Aggie and her friends were definitely surprised, to say the least, to see that the "Best in the field" was a girl who looked probably the same age as Aggie herself!
"Let's see these hands," Barb said while approaching the Magic Disco Troll, looking at her hands, saying, "Uh-uh. These hands are too tiny."
"Uh, normally, ay ain't one ta judge from first impresshuns, but are y'all sure about lettin' huurr handle Poppy," Holly asked the male Magic Classical Troll.
Dr. Quisenberry chuckled, saying, "Don't let her age fool you. My associate is a genius."
Dr. Jeweline walked around Poppy's frozen body, saying while examining it, "Interesting. Fascinating. Intriguing."
Dr. Quisenberry gave Dr. Jeweline a quick hug, adding, "She's also my granddaughter."
"I concur with your initial diagnosis, doctor. Prepare for ocular vision extraction," Dr. Jeweline declared as a few scientists around the room prepped some things for the procedure.
"Yes, everybody. Let's just prepare for what Dr. Tiny Hands said," Val commented sarcastically, feeling unsure about this.
"Guys, look if Dr. Quisenberry says she's the best in the field, then we should trust her and let her do the work," Essence said reassuringly.
"Don't worry, guys, it's gonna be okay," Trollex added, trying to help the group be positive.
"Let's go wait over there, so we can watch how to procedure goes," Aggie suggested as everyone started to walk towards the direction Aggie was pointing in.
However, Branch stayed back a bit, asking Aggie, "Aggie, can I have a moment with Poppy"?
"Yeah," Aggie happily replied as she went to go join the others, leaving Branch with the still-frozen Poppy.
Branch stood by Poppy's frozen body, saying softly and gently, "Hey, Poppy. I don't know if you can hear me, but I'm sorry for all our fighting. I promise I'll try really hard not to always argue but just please wake up and... And be you, my special, beautiful, fun-loving wife. I love you, and nothing can ever change that," and sealed the deal by kissing her on the cheek.
He then noticed Darna using her telekinesis to levitate him a tissue, in case he was gonna cry, as Branch said, "No, thank you, Darna. I'm good."
However, the tissue wasn't for him, as it was for Dante, who had watched what happened and had happy tears in his eyes, declaring, "No. That's for me. These two happy Pop Trolls truly love each other! They do"!
"Come here, I can't take it," Dante declared while pulling Branch into a very uncomfortable hug.
In a matter of minutes, everything was all set for the ocular vision extraction procedure.
"Now, the ocular vision extractor will remove Poppy's psychic energy, travel through this tube, and if all goes well, it will be deposited into this beaker," Dr. Jeweline explained while gesturing to the long tube that was connected to a pair of goggles that was over Poppy's eyes, and the tube was connected to a beaker on the table beside her.
"And if all doesn't go well," Trollzart asked nervously.
"I'm gonna have some strong choice words for her," Barb replied intimidatingly, earning some strong looks from the leaders and ambassadors.
"I hope this goes well, yo," Synth commented nervously.
With a turn of a special knob, the machine began to work, as the lights around the research center flickered, and everyone watched in anticipation to see how the procedure would turn out.
Then, they saw that in the beaker, a white, foggy, murky air-like substance began to enter the beaker.
Aggie gasped when she saw this, as Dr. Quisenberry noticed the look, asking, "I assume this was your vision from earlier, correct"?
Aggie nodded in reply, while Dr. Jeweline commented, "It's working."
"Working? It's disgusting," Dante commented,
"Yeah, y'all, it looks laake ayy white puffy fart cloud," Holly commented.
"If Booker's psychic energy was clean, that light would not be cloudy. It would be vibrant purple," Dr. Jeweline mentioned.
"Purple? Visshuns have ayy color," Delta asked curiously.
"well, when we had vision,s the divulge into it was purple, so it makes sense for purple to represent the vision colors too," Quincy replied.
Dr. Quisenberry removed the goggles off of Poppy, who was no longer frozen, as she rubbed her eyes while asking, "What's going on"?
"Poppy, you froze again but it's okay. They found a way to fix the problem," Branch told Poppy reassuringly, holding her hand while he told her.
Poppy smiled, saying, "Great! How"?
"We had to remove your visions," Dr. Quisenberry explained while taking the helmet off of Poppy.
Poppy was flabbergasted to hear this, shouting, "What? My visions are gone"?
"No, they're right here," Jeweline answered while pointing to the murky beaker.
"Who are you," Poppy asked curiously.
"Your doctor," Dr. Jeweline answered happily.
Poppy was visibly confused while Aggie told Poppy, "Don't worry, Poppy. Your visions just need to be cleaned before they can put them back."
Poppy noticed the beaker and was so stunned to see what the "visions" looked like, saying, "Wow. So, that's me? Why is it so dirty"?
"Well, that's what happens when you and your husband argue excessively," Dr. Quisenberry replied.
Poppy looked back at Banch, who looked down in guilt, as she too, felt guilty, approaching her husband, saying, "Wow. Sorry, Branch. I guess arguing isn't good for either of us."
Branch lifted Poppy's chin up with his free hand and offered a warm smile saying. "Look, I'm just glad you're back to being you."
Poppy smiled back, asking, "So, we're good"?
Branch and Poppy shared a romantic kiss together before Branch happily answered, "We're good."
"Good. Now, let's clean this sucker," Dr. Quisenberry declared.
The scientist pressed a button on the machine to activate the cleaning process, saying, "While the prismatic recalibrator is cleaning his visions, Dr. Jeweline and I have to check some data on the mainframe," before he and Dr. Jeweline went to go run through some data.
"So, what do we do now," Trollex asked curiously.
"We wait for now," Branch answered as everyone watched closely and waited to see what would happen.
While waiting, Synth saw some little tubes and containers filled with different levels of liquids and went over to inspect it, running his thumb over the top. When he saw it produced a sound, he started to do it with some of the other containers and tubes, making symphony of sounds play.
Aggie and the Normal Trolls turned their heads and saw what Synth was doing, with Synth saying, "Haha! Look, yo! I'm making sciency music"!
The group happily listened to the sound of the glass music, before Aggie saw that the visions inside the machine were changing color, saying, "Guys, it's turning purple."
"It's working," Trollzart commented as everyone watched the new cleaned visions be poured back into the beaker.
"My vision power is clean; I'm back," Poppy declared, with everyone cheering happily.
Then, Dr. Quisenberry came running to the room, saying, "Stop the music"!
Everyone turned their heads to see what was happening, and they saw that Sara Lee's buns were sparkling, with electricity seemingly building up in them.
"Sara Lee," Dr. Quisenberry said, seeing the state of the Magic Country Troll, before he told Aggie and her friend, "The musical vibrations can have an adverse effect on her electromagnetic frequencies."
"Darna, we need help," the scientist told the Magic Pop Troll.
Darna immediately used her telekinesis to lift up Synth, who floated in the air, laughing while saying, "Look at me, yo! I'm floating! Yo, don't just stand there; yet a camera"!
"That was my vision," Poppy pointed out.
"Let's hope Sara Lee wasn't affected," Dr. Quisenberry mentioned as he saw the electricity build-up getting bigger and stronger and looked ready to snap.
"That doesn't look good," the scientist said to himself before he turned around and warned the group, "She needs to release her energy; stand back from anything metal"1
That was easy since no one had anything metal on them...except for Delta, whose badge was made of metal, making her gasp and shout, "Oh, zap"!
This resulted in the mayor having to frantically dodge left and right to avoid getting zapped, but during her escape, she accidentally bumped into Darna, whose telekinetic hold on Synth made her swing him around and bump him into the machine, knocking the beaker up into the air.
"My visions," Poppy shouted as she dove to try and catch the beaker in time, shouting in slow motion, "No"!
But, she wasn't quick enough, and the beaker landed on the ground, and it broke, setting the visions free.
As Poppy got back up, everyone watched worryingly as the electric spark where the visions were zoomed around the room for a bit before it...disappeared somewhere.
"Where did it go!? Where are my visions," Poppy asked frantically while looking around?
"I think they're gone," Aggie replied, looking around with the others but finding no sign of where the visions were or had gone.
"Gone? But where," Poppy asked, visibly upset that her visions had disappeared.
Branch walked up to Poppy and pulled her into a comforting hug, saying, "I don't know, Poppy. I don't know. But we'll find them; I know we will."
But no one saw that while Branch was comforting Poppy, there was a special purple twinkle in his right eye; perhaps the visions were a lot closer than they thought they were.
