The day began. To be honest, I feel completely at peace and calm. Frankie and I had the best date we could have asked for, despite Moanica's attack. Honestly, the date was a lot of fun.

It was noon. The whole team was at Frankie's house to do some details on tonight's patrol. My friends didn't have their uniforms ready but they assured me that tonight they would be ready to patrol.

"Alright team. Listen up, this will be our first patrol. I need everyone to listen carefully." They all looked at me while I show a map of the city.

"As you know, Waps can pop in and out of our dimension as many times as he wants and bring any villain from Gotham City into this city. So, in case one of you run into Bane or any other villains, I need you to communicate it urgently and we will all go to fight together. We will be strong apart, but united we are invincible." I said seriously before looking at Ghoulia.

"Now. I asked Ghoulia this morning to make communicators for everyone. I need you to communicate with everyone in case of any emergencies, as this is the first night we're all going out. I need you to be prepared." I said while giving everyone a communicator each.

"Umm, why don't I use my Icoffin?" Cleo asked as she shows her cell phone.

"Cleo, although it's not a bad idea. You should keep in mind that in case your cell phone breaks, you will need an alternative to be able to communicate with some of us in case of an emergency." Frankie said as she looks at the girl.

"That's right, Frankie. But, if Cleo wants to take her Icoffin then she's free to do so. But don't forget to talk to us if an emergency arises." I said while looking at the girl but at that moment my Icoffin started to ring.

"It's Vandala. I wonder if she was alright." I said before answering.

"Hello Benja. Hey I need you to come to Monster High soon there's something I need to talk to you about and I can't wait." Vandala said with great emotion in her voice.

"Oh well umm okay. I'll go as fast as I can I can't take too long, today is our first patrol as a team." I said with some concern.

"Shit, I knew I forgot something. Don't worry, if everything goes well then it will be very fast. I'll wait for you in the catacombs, I already asked Operetta to wait for you at the entrance. Goodbye comrade." Vandala said before ending the call.

"Guys, I have to go to Monster High. In the meantime, I need you to finish your hero outfits before nightfall, I'll wait for you in front of the maul when it's over." I said while looking at my friends.

"It's okay Benja, don't worry. We're not going to let you down." Clawdeen said with a smile as I walked to Frankie's driveway.

"I'll see you guys later, team." I said smiling before leaving and then flying off to Monster High.

When I got to Monster High, I walked in only to see Operetta standing by the door to the catacombs with a banjo.

"Benja, good to see you." The girl said with a smile as I walk over to where she is.

"Hello Operetta. Vandala called me and said she wanted to see me, she seemed very excited." I said while looking at the girl making Operetta laugh.

"Trust me, you'll like this a lot. Come on." Said the girl before taking me to the catacombs of Monster High.

Minutes passed, Operetta and I walked until we reached a certain part of the catacombs where I saw a huge pirate ship standing on the shore of a lake.

"Arrr, Operetta and Benja in sight!!" Vandala yelled before coming down to where we are from the top of the ship.

"Vandala, nice to see you. But, I thought your ship was going to need some more repair work." I said while looking at the ship but the ghost girl started laughing.

"It's because that's not my ship. I found this ship beached but inside it, I also found this." The ghost girl said before showing a map which caught my attention.

"This map. It was in the captain's room on the ship and what do you think, it's the first map of the Monster High catacombs." Vandala said before floating to a stone and opening the map.

"According to this map. Deep within the catacombs, there is a hidden pirate treasure. One that has been hidden for centuries." The ghost girl said with a smile which surprised me a lot.

"But how is it possible?" I asked in surprise making Operetta laugh.

"Oh Benja. These catacombs are centuries and centuries old. According to Bloodgood, she told me that before Monster High was built, there was a rumor that caught the attention of many. It is said that years ago, some fearsome pirates committed the biggest robbery of the century, their heads were wanted and they knew they didn't have much time left."

"With time running out for them, those pirates decided to hide their riches in a chest they hid here. However, it is said that the captain was not going to give up the treasure and decided to venture alone into the catacombs to retrieve his own, leaving his men on the gallows."

"But. It is said that the captain disappeared without leaving a trace. Many say that he went mad trying to find the treasure, and others say that he managed to find the treasure but it cost him his own life." Operetta said with a smile which surprised me a lot and moved Vandala even more.

"This map as well as the captain's journal are intact. I could easily go and search for my treasure myself, but I need you to come with me." Vandala said as he looks at me making me surprised.

"Me? But why?" I asked surprised making the girl laugh.

"Why? Come on Benja, that's kind of a silly question. You're a wizard, the most amazing hero this city and monsters could have. Besides, I never got to explore these waters on my own with the help of my crew. But I'm afraid for the safety of everyone in these uncharted waters, and I think I'd feel safer having magical help with us." Vandala said with a smile.

At that point I was going to speak but I remembered what Frankie said and I also thought that maybe this could be a way to do something new besides being a hero.

"Okay. I think maybe it would be fun." I said smiling making Vandala jump due to his happiness.

"That's good. Now, let's get you something more comfortable." The ghost girl said before taking my hand and leading me to the ship.

"I'll see you guys later, I'm going to keep tuning my banjo." Operetta said before going back to school.

Vandala's crew was very busy. The skeletons were taking care of the ropes and that the cannonballs were in place and their weapons ready in case they were needed.

"Clean the floors, check that the powder of your weapons is completely intact and the ammunition in its place. I don't want anyone to be in danger." Vandala said seriously but at that moment she felt something on her shoulder only to notice a small octopus.

"Our new crew member is ready, Aye?" Vandala asked with a smile making the little octopus nod his head.

"Perfect. Get on with the job!! I must see my friend." The ghost girl said before walking to the captain's dressing room.

Now I'm wearing black pirate boots, black pants and a formal white shirt, a somewhat dusty blood red pirate jacket and on my head was a pirate hat just like Vandala's only something old and broken.

"Hmm, not bad. But, it's like being a captain after a drinking party." Vandala said with some seriousness before smiling.

"Got it!! You can use your magic to upgrade your clothes." The ghost girl said with a smile making me look at myself.

"My magic? I've never used my magic to design my clothes before, do you think it will work?" I asked curiously making Vandala laugh.

"Probably. Also, you use your magic to make your hero clothes appear. Maybe if you think you're about to wear your hero outfit you could change the design of your clothes." Vandala said with a smile making her look at me.

"Well, I think it might work. I'll give it a try." I said before closing my eyes and starting to accumulate magic.

Vandala noticed how slowly I began to be covered in fire and some vines would grow to begin to cover me. The girl suddenly saw how the vines began to come down and now my clothes looked different.

The hat seemed to have more life with a sun and moon design on the front, my jacket was now shiny with a navy color, the edges were an amber color and on the back there was a kitsune logo, my boots They were cleaner and brighter and the pants were black but in perfect condition.

"Hahaha, arrr sailor. Now that's a decent pirate outfit for someone like you, Benja." Vandala said with a huge smile while Aye seemed excited as well. I looked at myself in a mirror and I couldn't help but be very surprised when I saw myself.

"Wow, it's beautiful. I love it." I said in amazement before seeing Vandala walk over and stand next to me in the mirror.

"Welcome to my crew, Benja." Vandala said with a smile making me smile.

"Captain!!. Everything is ready and prepared, we can now leave the port." said a skeleton making the ghost girl laugh.

"That's music to my ears. Come on Benja, it's time to go!!" Vandala shouted with joy before going up, I looked at myself one last time before going up too and looking around.

Skeletons mopping the floor, others training in sword combat and some competing in power fights, notice how the flag was placed and how some skeletons raised the anchor. I quickly ran to help them but realized the skeletons would manage to lift it before I heard a laugh and looked at Vandala on top of the mast.

"Raise the sails my friends. Raise the anchor and get ready to go, because this day we are going to make history." Vandala said excitedly before jumping up and grabbing a rope to get down quickly.

"Yes captain!!." They all yelled before hurrying off to their duties as I walked up to the rudder with Vandala.

"Benja. Since you're our biggest help on this journey, you'll be second in command. I know this isn't like leading a team of heroes but I'm sure you'll know what to do." Vandala said with a smile making me smile shyly.

"Okay, I'll do my best not to disappoint you." I said smiling making the girl laugh.

"That's the attitude!!. We're leaving right now!!" Vandala shouted with a huge smile as the sails lowered and the wind made the ship start to slowly move forward.

The atmosphere was calm. The skeletons continued their work while Vandala continued to control the rudder, I on the other hand decided to read the diary in search of information.

"Dear diary. The night has come, and it will possibly be the most difficult and challenging night I will have with my crew. We are about to steal some gold from those rich humans, I am not afraid. I have as second in command a werewolf and a group of gargoyles willing to fight without fear."

"However, even though it looks like we won't have any problems. I fear for the safety of my comrades, but they are sick of seeing their families die of hunger and cold. I know that perhaps I should have said something to my second officer in the time that the reveal of this mission took place. However, the vote has already been taken and everyone agrees on this."

"As captain, I know that I must take roles in the matter and prevent this from happening, but my little princess and my wife also need help, my family is going through a serious illness and the alchemists say that the medicine is extremely expensive despite the alternatives. I don't think they're a bunch of greedy bastards, after all. The ingredients are dangerous to find."

"I only hope that everything goes well in due time and I hope that my crew and I are up to the task to achieve our goal. I am not afraid of death, we are pirates. This is what we do, it is our job. Gods be with us, it's time to take what belongs to us."

"Hey Benja. You have to see this." I turned around and walked over to where Vandala is.

"Look." Vandala pointed ahead and I could see a thick mist ahead.

"It's a blanket of fog. I'll get closer and check to make sure there's no danger." I said before starting to fly and enter the mist.

When I entered I couldn't help but be very surprised and scared at what I saw. It was a graveyard of ships, each one was completely destroyed and shattered, the skeletons of monsters and some of humans were seen on the ships with wounds from swords and some parts of the ships seemed to have gaping holes.

"Gods. This is bad." I said in horror before returning to the ship just as Vandala was entering.

"By the seven seas. What happened here?" Vandala asked with shock looking around her.

"I don't know. But I guess we weren't the only ones looking for the treasure." I said in surprise but Aye noticed something and made Vandala quickly turn around.

"Benja, be careful!!" Vandala yelled before jumping on me just as a cannonball was going to hit me.

"Benja, are you alright?" The ghost girl asked with concern but she blushed a lot as I did when she noticed how close we were making her stand up.

"Yeah, I'm fine. But what was that?" I asked with surprise but we all noticed something that caught our attention but also impacted us.

The skeletons seemed to be slowly getting up and some were removing the swords that were stuck in their bodies, other skeletons were raising their weapons and some were laughing darkly.

"Everyone to your battle stations!!" Vandala yelled before going to the deck of the ship. Suddenly the skeletons began to attack with cannonballs causing Vandala's skeletons to quickly return fire.

"Fire Element: Fireball!!" I screamed before launching a fireball but I was surprised to see that the sphere was surrounded by multiple small green fire spheres and upon impact they would generate a large explosion.

"Get on the ship..." Suddenly we were shocked to see how giant harpoons went through our ship and we saw how some skeletons got on our ship.

"This ship is mine, stowaways. And you are not welcome!!" Vandala yelled before wielding his sword just like the rest of the crew and I would do the same with my fire sword but I noticed it was different now. The sword despite looking the same, the flame was turquoise green and the head of a kitsune was carved on the hilt.

The enemy skeletons roared with wrathful fury and attacked us causing everyone to quickly start fighting. The fight was very even but Vandala's skeletons were slowly tiring causing Vandala and I to be surrounded as we both try to keep everything at bay.

"Hahaha, in the name of pirates. I've never felt so alive in all my unlife!!" Vandala yelled with emotion in her voice as the two of us were now back to back fighting.

"Even though we're at a disadvantage and these skeletons keep coming. I can't lie, this is fun." I said with a small smile. The adrenaline, the emotion and the fact that this fight was impressive. They made me feel like a real pirate.

"That's what I wanted to hear, comrade. But it's time to end this once and for all, there's a treasure waiting for us." Vandala said with a huge smile as the girl kept fighting.

"In this case, I'll take care of it. But I need everyone to hold on tight." I said seriously before taking a big jump and starting to fly over the enemy skeletons.

"Everyone take cover!! Hold onto your bones!!" Vandala yelled before sticking her sword into the ground causing all the skeletons to do the same.

The enemy skeletons noticed that my hair began to defy gravity but at that moment my tails did the same.

"Air Element: Compressed Air!!" I yelled before launching a strong blow but noticed that the gust of wind was very powerful causing the skeletons and harpoons to fly but to my horror the mast was destroyed by the power of the attack.

"Hahahaha, by Poseidon's beard that's what I call ending a battle!!" Vandala yelled in amazement as I returned to the ship but I couldn't help it as my magic was almost completely exhausted before I looked at the place where the mast was.

"Shit...I'm so sorry Vandala, my attack destroyed the mast." I said with embarrassment but was surprised when the girl lowered my pirate hat causing me to cover my eyes.

"Don't worry about it, Benja. I'm sure with the parts from these old ships we'll be able to repair it in no time. But first..." The ghost girl with a smile hugged me before raising her fist in the air.

"We have to celebrate our victory!!" Vandala yelled causing the entire crew to get excited and raise their swords into the air.

"Comrades. Prepare everything, my second in command and I will go to inspect the area in search of materials to repair the ship." Vandala said with a smile before starting to fly with me to where the ships are.

Vandala looked around all the abandoned ships, however at that moment the girl noticed my kitsune tails which made her think of something.

"I didn't realize…" I turned around and noticed the girl staring at me.

"Benja. How long have you been a Kitsune?" The ghost girl asked causing me to be surprised.

"Vandala but. How do you know I'm a kitsune?" I asked in amazement making the girl look in one of her pockets.

"Simple. First of all, your tails gave you away. And second of all." The girl at that time showed her icoffin and I was very surprised by what I saw.

"Unexpected twist. Benjamin Escudero, known to all of us as an elemental magician at the beginning of the school year at Monster High, we knew him as a simple normie until his hero identity was revealed two months after the attack of the villains. Now, surprisingly our hero is a kitsune monster."

"The sudden change in appearance of our hero is unknown. However, it is said that Benja had an encounter with a Kitsune and the fox fused his magic with Benja's magic making our hero now a monster like us. The only question is, what will happen with this sudden change in Benja and how will it affect his life as a hero?"

I was very surprised by this and noticed this was posted on Spectra's ghostly gossip.

"But... how could Spectra have realized that a kitsune attacked me!?" I yelled in surprise but that surprised Vandala a lot too.

"Wait. So it's true!? There is a Kitsune on the loose in the streets of New Salem!?." The ghost girl yelled in surprise making me nervous.

"Yes. There is a kitsune on the loose, he attacked me when I finished my concert with Tash and he is responsible for my change in my magic. I don't understand what his intention was, but he called me master and mentioned something about training." I said while looking at Vandala.

"Well. This is something unique. Kitsunes are unique creatures from fairy tales, legends, and ancient monster stories of the past. For a kitsune to be on the loose in our town is something unique and very rare. Especially if he referred to you as his master and that training. It's strange." Vandala said with a hand on her chin.

"I need answers and to know why that kitsune was looking for me. However, I will need to interrogate him at the right time. I read that kitsunes are good at camouflaging themselves in their surroundings and their magic abilities are very powerful which can cause me problems due to my lack of knowledge ability in the use of magic for what he did to me." I said while looking at my hands.

"Don't worry, benja. If that kitsune bothers you again, then he'll take on my sword and my crew." Vandala said with a huge smile making me smile.

"Thank you Vandala. You are a great friend." I said smiling making the girl laugh.

"A captain must always take care of his crew." Vandala said with a huge smile before looking at a mast in the distance and flying to the ship where he is.

"Benja, check this out!! It's perfect, it doesn't appear to be chipped and it's in mint condition!!" Vandala yelled with a huge smile making me go to where the girl is.

"That's right. It looks amazing." I said surprised while the girl laughed.

"I'll call some of the crew to take this to the ship. Let's go back." Vandala said with a smile. But as we both walked back, something moved from the shadows.

"Comrades!! Benja and I have found a new mast for the ship. I need someone to go and get it here as soon as possible." The ghost girl said with a smile but then she noticed some huge barrels.

"Captain. We will take care of the job, you and Mr. Benja have fought tirelessly for us. Everyone, long live the captain!!" a skeleton yelled as he lifted a jar making the other skeletons do the same.

"Long live the captain!!" All the skeletons shouted making Vandala laugh.

"That's my crew. Now, let's celebrate the victory!!" The girl yelled making everyone excited.

At that moment I saw how some skeletons were bringing wooden jars to the table and I noticed how they seemed to serve something, I didn't know what it was but I couldn't help noticing a somewhat sweet but strong aroma.

"Here Benja, this one is for you." the girl said before handing me a mug making me look at the drink curiously.

"What exactly?." I asked curiously as the girl calmly drank her drink.

"It's Rum. It turns out my comrades and I found barrels full of Rum in the ship's vault." Vandala said with a smile causing me to be surprised.

"Rum? But, Vandala. Are you sure you're drinking this? I mean, it's amazing that this can still be drunk and above all. Doesn't Bloodgood know about this?" I asked with concern making the girl laugh.

"Don't worry Benja, my comrades and I only drink this in times of celebration. Come on, drink it. I guarantee you'll like it." Vandala said with a huge smile.

"Okay. I guess I can try it." I said with some concern before looking at my jar of rum. At that time I started to drink it a little and suddenly I felt a nice and very sweet taste.

"Well? What do you think?" Vandala asked with a smile as the girl helped herself to some more.

"It's a very nice flavor. I like it." I said smiling making everyone celebrate hearing that and let's start celebrating.

"My loyal crew. This is a beautiful thing, but music is never lacking at a celebration party, right?" Vandala asked with a smile and I saw some skeletons holding some instruments.

Wellerman (By Nathan Evans.)

At that moment I saw Vandala hit the ground with one of her boots, and then they all started doing the same rhythm before the skeletons started playing the instruments

( Vandala. )

There once was a ship that put to sea

The name of the ship was the Billy of Tea

The winds blew up, her bow dipped down

Oh blow, my bully boys, blow (huh)

At that moment the skeletons raised their jars and swords before starting to sing as well.

( Skeletons. )

Soon may the Wellerman come

To bring us sugar and tea and rum

One day, when the tonguing is done

We'll take our leave and go

Vandala smiled upon hearing that and without hesitation drew her sword as well.

( Vandala. )

She'd not been two weeks from shore

When down on her a right whale bore

The captain called all hands and swore

He'd take that whale in tow (huh)

At that moment he smiles, I couldn't help but hit the ground with my boots too before singing.

( Skeletons and Me. )

Soon may the Wellerman come

To bring us sugar and tea and rum

One day, when the tonguing is done

We'll take our leave and go

The skeletons smiled and stood up before giving each other a one-handed group hug and raising their jars with delight.

( Skeletons. )

Da-da-da-da-da

Da-da-da-da-da-da-da

Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da

Vandala then took a long drink from her jar of rum before hitting the table and walking to the edge of the boat.

"On the move, comrades. We have work to do!!" Vandala yelled making me finish my rum before leaving with her and the rest of the skeletons as the song seemed to continue.

( Vandala. )

Before the boat had hit the water

The whale's tail came up and caught her

All hands to the side, harpooned and fought her

When she dived down low (huh)

We were all taking heavy footsteps that made the catacombs resound as we sang on our march.

( Skeletons and Me. )

Soon may the Wellerman come

To bring us sugar and tea and rum

One day, when the tonguing is done

We'll take our leave and go

When we arrived, I saw some skeletons walking around with some old saws before starting to cut the mast still following the rhythm of the song.

( Vandala. )

No line was cut, no whale was freed

The captain's mind was not of greed

And he belonged to the Whaleman's creed

She took that ship in tow (huh)

Despite the work. The skeletons did not stop singing and continued.

( Skeletons. )

Soon may the Wellerman come

To bring us sugar and tea and rum

One day, when the tonguing is done

We'll take our leave and go

"Out below!!" At that moment the mast fell but before it fell into the sea, my vines quickly caught it before pulling hard with the help of Vandala and his crew before catching it.

"Come on, my friends!!" the ghost girl yelled before starting to march back to the ship with the new mast.

( Skeletons and Me. )

Da-da-da-da-da

Da-da-da-da-da-da-da

Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da

As we arrived at the ship, the Vandala crew quickly began clearing away t

he remains of the old mast in order to fit the new one.

( Vandala. )

For forty days or even more

The line went slack then tight once more

All boats were lost, there were only four

But still that whale did go (huh)

We all pulled hard getting the mast into place, the skeletons quickly started adjusting the new mast to prevent it from falling.

( Skeletons. )

Soon may the Wellerman come

To bring us sugar and tea and rum

One day, when the tonguing is done

We'll take our leave and go

At that moment I smiled excitedly before holding tight to the ropes to hold the mast while Vandala and the skeletons prepared the sails to set sail.

( Vandala. )

As far as I've heard, the fight's still on

The line's not cut, and the whale's not gone

The Wellerman makes his regular call

To encourage the captain, crew and all (huh)

The skeletons raised their brooms and swords in happiness as Vandala and I approached the helm of the ship and the sails parted.

( Skeletons. )

Soon may the Wellerman come

To bring us sugar and tea and rum

One day, when the tonguing is done

We'll take our leave and go

"Benja. We need wind here." Vandala said with a smile making me smile.

"At your command, captain." I said smiling before starting to use magic and make some wind blow the candles.

( Skeletons, Vandala and Me. )

Soon may the Wellerman come

To bring us sugar and tea and rum

One day, when the tonguing is done

We'll take our leave and go

The hours passed. It was already nine o'clock at night, the crew was tired from the party so everyone was resting. There was no danger so everything was fine.

"Vandala. How is everything?" I asked curiously while the girl was on top of the mast.

"Everything normal around here. It seems that there is no danger ahead." The ghost girl said with a smile.

"Okay. I'll go through the captain's journal to find out where the treasure is." I said before walking to where the table is while Vandala went down and took the helm.

"Very well. I'll let you know if I find anything." the ghost girl said with a smile making me smile and nod before looking at the map.

"Dear diary. We made it, I don't know how the fuck we did it but we fucking made it. Hahaha, the look on those lazy useless guards' faces were priceless when they realized how useless they were to leave things to us so easily. Now we are rich, even more than we could have imagined."

"Right now my crew is celebrating our glorious victory knowing that we have been able to free their families from poverty and nurses. Finally, after years of hard work, sacrifices and multiple fatal injuries, we have been able to achieve what we have always wanted Being able to bring bread to the table."

"However. Despite our victory, it still doesn't take away my worry. It's amazing that this has been so easy for us, but what really makes me wonder. time that we stole, but. I feel like maybe we made a mistake."

"I just hope I'm just delirious from the effects of drinking. I'll be back with my crew right now to continue celebrating with the rest of my comrades. Right now, my only concern not only as a pirate but also as a man of my word is to give my people what they deserve for their effort."

"Benja. Check this out." At that moment I turned around only to notice something in the distance. It seemed to be some kind of gate that was near a port.

"It's a door but. What are you doing here in the middle of nowhere?" I asked curiously as the two of us approach the port.

"I don't know. We'll have to find out what that is." The ghost girl said before we stopped at the port and released the anchor.

"Vandala. I. I feel that this place, it's. dangerous." I said with concern. My kitsune senses seemed to be tense at the atmosphere of the place.

"Don't worry, Benja. I assure you we'll be fine, we just have to stick together." Vandala said with a smile as the two of us approached the door before opening it only to see a deep dark hallway with a ladder leading down into the depths.

Our footsteps were heard resoundingly as we went down, drops of water falling and a deep silence was present which only increased my insecurity.

"Vandala. What do you think is at the bottom?" I asked curiously looking at the girl. Vandala kept walking but in his hands she had the treasure map.

"I don't know, benja. But let's keep our eyes open, these corridors don't give me a good thorn." The ghost girl said with concern but at that moment we both stopped as we found two different paths.

"Now what are we going to do?" I asked with concern causing Vandala to look at me.

"I'll take the left path, you can take the right path. However, I highly doubt our Icoffins have a signal to call us in case something happens." The ghost girl said with concern but then she noticed that I held out my hand with a communicator.

"I asked Ghoulia to make communicators for everyone. I wanted to give you this when you were with us at Frankie's house. I guess this is the perfect place to try them out." I said as the girl took the communicator and placed it on her ear.

"Perfect. Now, if anything happens. We'll leave quickly and try to alert the crew." Vandala said seriously making me nod.

"Very well. Be careful Vandala, please." I said with concern making the girl laugh.

"Don't worry benja, I promise I'll be fine. You take good care of yourself too." The ghost girl said with a smile before we parted ways.

I walked slowly with my hair on fire to light my way. At that moment I noticed something in the background causing me to hurry up and walk faster. At that time I found some curtains and when I opened them I noticed that it seemed to be a room.

"But what...what is this place?" I asked surprised. The room seemed to be almost a pirate room, there was a makeshift table and barrels as well as multiple notes around the room. But I stopped when I noticed a skeleton looking like a sea monster.

"But..." At that moment I noticed some kind of notes on his skeletal hands making me walk slowly to grab them. When I took the letters I was surprised to notice that the handwriting was the same as the one in the diary.

"The captain...but how did it end like this?" I asked surprised before reading the notes.

"I'm a coward. A miserable, mean, filthy coward. I knew it, I always knew it. But none of these damn sons of bitches heeded my warnings or my concern!? No, they just believed that I I was already crazy."

"It was all a fucking disaster. I remember, I was celebrating with my crew until all of a sudden we were attacked by the fleet of those bloody humans. I knew we could easily fight back and force those bastards to turn around. However, part of my crew suffered from side effects of the rum that none of them were able to fight."

"I know how, Captain, I should have faithfully defended my crew and even fought even if it meant fighting alone. But the safety of my crew was more important to me than anything else in the world. So I announced our surrender, and we let Let the humans arrest us."

"At the time of our interrogation, we were required to know the location of our treasure and our intentions. We explained why we did so, but we didn't say a single word of the location. But as usual, those disgusting, smug humans laughed and even They said that we monsters could take care of ourselves without the gold."

"The judge had no mercy on us, and ordered our execution. Just as we were to be taken to our cells to spend our last hours as a family, my comrades in a swift move knocked down the guards before releasing me. I demanded an answer before this, but they didn't respond and just said, 'Do it for our family...'"

"I quickly understood what she wanted, but I refused to abandon my crew. However, my second-in-command explained to me that they had no intention of surrendering or retreating, that they also knew what was happening to me and understood me perfectly. My friend, He told me that he knew that if this day was going to come, please take care of his family for him."

"With time disappearing and a heavy weight on my heart. I listened and ran away so as not to fail my crew's last request. It doesn't matter if I crash, lose an arm or die trying. I will not fail in my promise."

"Wow but...what happened?" I asked in surprise looking at the captain's skeleton before starting to search the room for any part that might explain what happened next. But I did not find anything.

"Benja, are you there? How are you?" Vandala asked curiously making me stop looking.

"I'm fine Vandala. I just found the chapter room and. I found something incredible, it seems that the captain intended to distribute the treasure to his crew, his comrades sacrificed themselves for him in order to achieve it. However, his corpse is here. I wonder what happened to him." I said with concern causing the ghost girl to be shocked.

"By the seven seas, that changes the story completely. I also found something, it's a wooden door. You won't believe what I found, come quickly." Vandala said with a huge smile making me just nod before leaving. But I never noticed a red eye that looked at me from a crack in the room before disappearing.

Vandala stood at what she saw. The girl had a huge smile and her eyes were shining like stars, she was clearly surprised at what was in front of her making her happiness only increase.

"Vandala, I'm here. What's going on?" I ask curiously as I walk over to where the ghost girl is.

"Benja. Check this out." said the ghost girl with a smile making me look forward just to be impressed. In front of us was a room filled with gold, precious jewels, and multiple precious stones.

"Unbelievable, it's the treasure. We found the treasure!!" Vandala yelled with a huge grin before running off and starting to play with the gold.

"It's amazing. I never thought I'd see something like this." I said in surprise as I walked around the room before noticing something in the center of the room.

"Vandala. I think you should see this." I said as I turn around to see the girl. Vandala looked at me curiously before walking over to where I am.

"What did you find, comrade?" The girl asked with a smile but her smile disappeared when we both looked at what was in the room. It was a huge circle of gigantic size, we could see water inside but when we got closer to see the depth only darkness.

"A pool? What's a pool doing here?" Vandala asked in confusion as I take a closer look at the water.

"I don't know. But I don't like this." I said with concern but suddenly I let out a scream of terror making Vandala and I back away.

An eye. From the darkness of that pool, a red eye was seen which left me completely terrified. Suddenly a strong earthquake shook the entire room and what we saw left us clearly shocked.

In front of us there was a giant blue squid, its tentacles were gigantic purple with blue details and its head seemed to be transparent. Suddenly the huge squid let out a loud and powerful roar that made me back as well as Vandala.

"Vandala, run!!" I screamed in horror before running for the exit but the girl was clearly petrified.

"Vandala, come on!!" I screamed in fear but at that moment I saw that the giant squid was going to attack the girl causing me to quickly launch a fireball, that quickly woke up the ghost girl.

"Benja, let's go to the boat!!. We have to go!!." Vandala yelled before quickly floating over to where I am and we both started running. But the squid started hitting the walls causing part of the ceiling to start falling.

"The ceiling is falling. We have to hurry!!" I yelled before running faster but at that moment Vandala noticed that part of the roof was going to collapse on the way out.

"Benja, be careful!!" At that moment Vandala pushed me causing me to fall out of the room while the rubble fell on the girl causing her to scream.

"Vandala, no!!" I screamed in horror before I started clearing away the debris as fast as I could.

"Vandala. Please tell me something please. Are you alright!?" I screamed with tears due to fear but I was very surprised when I heard a laugh and I turned around to see Vandala behind me laughing.

"Hahaha, I'm fine benja. I'm a ghost, we're immortal. Something like that can't kill us." The ghost girl said with a smirk but she was petrified when she noticed that I had tears and fear on my face.

"Ummm. Sorry Benja, I didn't mean to scare you that much." Vandala said with embarrassment and shyness while I calmed down and smiled before hugging the ghost girl which surprised her.

"It's okay. What matters most to me is that you're okay." I said smiling making Vandala smile as she accepted the hug.

"A captain never abandons his crew, never forget that Benja." The ghost girl said with a smile but at that moment we both felt an earthquake.

"We have to go and alert the others to this huge beast." Vandala said seriously making the two of us quickly leave the place.

The two of us quickly started to run to the boat and when we got there we felt how the earthquake got stronger causing some rocks to start falling and blocking the entrance to the cave.

"Benja, we need wind!! I'll tell the others, you get us out of here!!." Vandala yelled before starting to wake up the crew while I quickly started flying to try to move the ship to leave but it was hard.

"Everyone to your battle stations right now, this is not a drill!! Prepare for a showdown!!" The ghost girl yelled causing all the skeletons to quickly begin to take their battle positions while I quickly used my air element to generate a strong current of air causing us to begin to leave the place.

We all prepared to fight as the ship slowly left the scene. A silence was present in the place while we all had in our hands swords and revolvers ready for any attack as well as cannons. But everything seemed to be calm.

"I think we're fine." Vandala said seriously while Aye was fearfully hiding behind the ghost girl.

"Yeah, I think we made it." I said seriously but at that moment we all felt a strong earthquake and watched in horror as the place where the cave was was destroyed and the squid started to come out before letting out a loud roar of anger.

"Everyone shoot the huge beast. Don't let it get to the ship!!" Vandala yelled seriously causing everyone to start attacking with cannonballs and gunshots, Vandala also started shooting while I was shooting fireballs.

The squid let out a stiff rage before swimming into the water and approaching us slowly as we continued to attack, but no matter how hard we tried to keep trying the squid backed off. It seemed like we were only making him angrier.

"Captain. Our attacks are useless against the creature, what do we do!?" a skeleton yelled as we all kept attacking. Vandala looked at everything with concern before getting angry.

"Fuck it. Everyone, retreat!! Go to the rafts and abandon ship!!" The ghost girl yelled earnestly making the skeletons look at this with shock.

"Captain but. What will happen to you and the second in command?" The skeleton asked with concern. Before Vandala could reply, I quickly stepped forward.

"I'll stay with the captain to buy you more time. In the meantime, all of you get out of here and find somewhere safe." I said seriously before launching a larger fireball causing the squid to roar in fury due to the attack.

"But..." The skeleton was going to speak but Vandala looked at the crew with a look that showed complete seriousness.

"You heard Benja. Give up the fight and find a safe place, right now!!" The ghost girl yelled making all the skeletons start to leave the place.

At that moment Vandala and I saw the squid while the huge creature glared at us making us get serious.

"This may be the hardest battle I'll ever have in my life. Are you ready, Benja?" Vandala asked as she held her sword tightly and with a determined smile making me smile.

"A hero never abandons his friends. Much less a captain." I said with determination as green fire spheres surrounded me making the ghost girl smile.

"In that case. Let's give this creature what it deserves for messing with the wrong monsters." Vandala said with a smile. At that moment the squid roared in fury causing the two of us to take a step back from the gust of wind before smiling determinedly.

"Very well, Aye. Stay with Benja, mommy is going to teach this beast manners." Vandala said before quickly flying to where the giant squid is.

The squid, noticing Vandala, quickly attacked with a tentacle, but the girl quickly turned in the air before starting to run for the tentacle, the girl smiled before starting to cut the tentacle causing the squid to try to attack but Suddenly a ball of fire hit his face making him look at me.

"Keep it up, Vandala!!" I yelled before continuing to attack with fireballs which made the squid annoyed but it also seemed to back off a bit.

The fight slowly started to go in our favor. The huge squid couldn't attack us due to the multiple difficulties the beast had to stay focused. Vandala was generating slashes on the tentacles and I kept throwing fireballs causing the huge creature to only get more and more enraged.

"Fire Element: Great Flame!!" I yelled before unleashing a large blast of fire causing the squid to roar in fury before grabbing the boat with its huge tentacles causing me to fall to the ground as the creature lifted the boat out of the water.

"Benja!!. Grr, you disgusting creature of the deep. You're not going to hurt my friends!!" Vandala yelled before making a big jump and thrusting her sword hard into a tentacle causing the squid to let go of me causing the ship to fall sharply.

"Benja!! For the love of monsters, are you alright!?" Vandala yelled with concern as I slowly got up.

"I'm fine but. I feel like I don't have much magic left." I said with difficulty while the squid glared at us.

"Shit, besides that beast doesn't seem to be tired, not even a little bit." Vandala whispered with concern before gripping her sword tightly.

"Benja, I want you to get out of here. I'm going to buy you more time dealing with that thing." Vandala said seriously causing me to look at this in horror.

"What!? I'm not going to abandon you, you're my friend and I won't let you get hurt!!" I yelled with concern while Aye looked at everything with tears, but the ghost girl looked at me with a smile full of confidence.

"I have to. After all, a hero never stops fighting and always fights to protect the people he cares about." The girl said with a smile before flying quickly and starting to attack the squid.

I slowly started to get up only to see Vandala fight the squid. The girl had trouble fighting because the creature wouldn't stop attacking causing her to dodge the attacks with difficulty.

"No… I must not give up…" I slowly felt electricity covering my body. My kitsune eyes began to shine and slowly my tails began to emit electricity and a turquoise aura began to cover me.

"I have to end this...now...I won't let Vandala get hurt." I said seriously as the electricity increased and slowly my hair began to defy gravity.

Vandala continued to struggle but at this point the girl quickly had to dodge another tentacle before looking at the huge creature with exhaustion. She was about to continue fighting when she noticed from the edge of her sword that I was gathering magic causing her to look at me.

"Electric Element: Electric Shot!!" I yelled before firing a large electrical blast causing the squid to roar in pain from the attack and begin to back away.

I slowly started to use more magic causing the squid to back away further and further before returning to the huge pool and escaping.

"We did it!!. Benja, you did it!!." Vandala shouted with joy but her joy disappeared when she saw me pass out causing her to quickly return to the ship.

"Benja! Benja, are you alright!? Talk to me please!!" the ghost girl yelled in fear before taking off her hat and laying her head on my chest. To the girl's relief, she managed to hear my heart still beating.

"What a relief, you just passed out..." Vandala smiled before putting my head in her lap as she looked at me.

"Rest Benja. Everything will be fine." The ghost girl said with a smile before seriously looking at the place where the giant squid was.

The hours passed until midnight. Vandala was rowing a raft with me and the rest of the crew. The ghost girl looked at me with a smile while I was still sleeping until we reached the port where we set sail for the first time where Operetta was.

"Vandala!!. What happened to you!?. I've been calling you all this time!!." Operetta yelled seriously making the ghost girl laugh.

"I'm so sorry, Operetta. But there were complications and we were very late due to a little problem with the ship." Vandala said shyly until she heard some moans and turned around to look at me.

"Ugh, my head." I slowly started to get up before sitting down.

"It's good to have you back, Benja." I turned around only to see Vandala, the girl had a smile as she shook my hand. But when I took her hand, the girl quickly pulled me back and hugged me tightly.

"I'm glad you woke up." Vandala said with a smile while I hugged the girl with a smile.

"Guys. What happened?" Operetta asked curiously as the crew moved the rafts onto the beach.

At that time we told everything to Operetta which the girl was very surprised but...

"Just when we found the treasure. In the room there was some kind of giant weird pool and suddenly a huge squid came out of nowhere. Wraiths, I'll never forget those horrible red eyes that thing had." Vandala said with fear but we noticed that Operetta was petrified.

"Operetta, is everything okay?" I asked with concern making the girl giggle sheepishly.

"Hahaha, yes yes all good. And ummm, what happened after when they found that squid?" The girl asked with a shy smile causing Vandala and I to look at each other before looking at Operetta.

"Yes, although I had to use all my magic to be able to do even an electric attack. However, I still can't perfectly awaken my electric magic, that's why I fainted on top of exhaustion and energy consumption." I said while looking at my hand until I noticed that Vandala put a hand on my shoulder.

"The important thing is that no one was hurt and we're all okay. You fought very well Benja, and what matters is that you're okay." Vandala said with a smile making me smile.

"Thank you, Vandala. I promise I'll help you finish the ship you're building and we'll go back to find another treasure." I said with a smile which surprised the girl a lot.

"Do you want to go find another treasure with me?" Vandala asked in surprise making me laugh shyly.

"Yes. I have to admit this being a pirate is fun, I'd love to look for another pirate treasure with you when the ship is ready." I said with a shy smile making Vandala laugh before she hugs me.

"That's the spirit I wanted to see!! Benja, you will always be welcomed into my crew and I promise you that when our ship is ready, we will go after whatever treasure is hidden anywhere in the world!!" Vandala shouted with a huge smile.

"Thank you, Vandala. I promise I won't let you down." I said smiling but the girl at that moment smiled before taking the sword out of her.

"Spectral Captain." Operetta and I looked at the girl while Vandala had a smile.

"Call me, Spectral Captain. I want to use this name when we fight crime together." Said the ghost girl with a smile making me smile just like Operetta.

The three of us at that time returned to Monster High before leaving while continuing to talk. But someone else seemed to be listening.

"Operetta. Are you sure you don't want to come with me and Vandala to our patrol night?" I asked curiously making the monster girl laugh.

"Sorry Benja, but I think I'd rather get some sleep. I've been rehearsing all day and I think I'd like to relax now. Maybe next time." Operetta said with a smile as the two of us continued walking.

"I can't wait to start fighting crime. This is going to be exciting." Vandala said with a huge smile but at that moment the three of us saw how the wind began to blow strongly which caught our attention.

"Something is not right." Operetta said seriously as the three of us prepared to fight but...

"I see you still haven't gotten used to your new abilities, Master." Vandala, Operetta and I turned around only to see a kitsune that I recognized while the girls were shocked.

"Master. We need to talk." The kitsune said seriously as the fox stared.

So far today's chapter. Sorry for the delay, I was busy and didn't have time to create a new chapter.

I'm very sorry for the delay and I hope you liked today's chapter just as I hope you're also liking the story so far.

A user asked me about the history of Skullgirl and if I abandoned her. The answer is no. It's just that I didn't feel very satisfied with the story I was doing, so I decided to start from scratch to improve the chapters.

I hope you liked today's chapter and I also hope you are enjoying the story so far. I wish you all a good day, afternoon or evening. See you later. Goodbye dattebayo.
