Author's Note: Hey guys! Just a quick note. I don't normally do Author's Notes at the beginning of the chapter so don't expect these very often. I went through the last two chapters and did a little more research and fixed a few things. One person mentioned to me a little mistake I made at the beginning of the first chapter and I fixed that along with a couple of punctuation errors. Another person mentioned to me about a British wizard of prestige wearing a T-shirt and jeans so I changed it to an undershirt with a button up made of Acromantula silk as well as a pair of Acromantula silk trousers. I kept the dragon hide coat and boots though because that is very wizard. I also showed this FanFiction to a friend and he suggested I use Charlus and Dorea as Harry's grandparents instead of Fleamont and Euphemia and also preferred Potter Castle to Potter Manor. I think those requests were reasonable enough so I made the changes. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. P.S This will probably be one of the longest chapters. Let me know if you like this length or if you like them shorter.
Harry listened to Trickster's explanation of wizarding portraits calmly but after he heard that he'd be able to talk to his grandparents he bolted toward what Trickster told him was the door to the hall of ancestors. Harry slowed with a huff as he came up to the door and hesitated for only a second before slowly turning the doorknob and gingerly walking into the room.
The room was very dark and there were no windows. Harry looked around and the moment he passed through the door frame hundreds of floating candles lit up all along the ceiling. The hall was very large and had portraits of men on the right side and women on the left. Each portrait had their significant other exactly opposite them in the room.
"Hello there young man!" the man in the very first portrait exclaimed excitedly, "Haven't seen another Potter since Charlus's boy! Who might you be?"
Harry looked at the portrait who spoke and all the other portraits who were listening in before answering, "Hi there… I'm Harry Potter, son of James Potter."
"Oh… is that so?" the portrait asked, receiving a head nod in return, "I am Linfred of Stinchcombe also known as 'The Potterer'. I founded the Potter clan nearly 800 years ago."
"Wow! You're the very first Potter?" Harry asked awestruck at meeting the founder of his family.
"That's right!" Linfred nodded proudly, "If you're looking to talk to your grandfather he should be down all the way at the end of the hall. Nice chatting with you my young Potter and don't forget we Potter's were born to conquer!"
Harry nodded to his ancestor before proudly exclaiming, "Thank you and thanks for the words of encouragement!"
Harry slowly walked down the hall and looked over his different ancestors. Some of them said hi and others were seemingly asleep in the portraits. He read all the plaques that had their names engraved on them as he walked to the end of the hall and came face to face with his grandfather. The portrait's plaque read 'Charlus Potter' and he was sleeping in his portrait. Harry turned around and looked at his grandmother's portrait and her plaque read 'Dorea Potter (Née Black)' and she too was sleeping.
Just then the portrait next to his grandfather looked over at him and said, "Come here lad so I can get a good look at you…"
Harry walked over to face the portrait and read the name Henry Potter, "You are definitely a Potter. What's your name, young man?"
"Harry James Potter, sir." Harry replied nervously, "I believe you're my great grandfather."
"Am I now? So you're my son Charlus's grandson then?" the portrait of Henry replied with a charming smile.
"Yes sir." Harry nodded as his shoulders visibly relaxed.
"Charlus dear, wakey wakey our grandson has finally come to visit!" a soft almost angelic voice replied happily from behind Harry.
Harry turned around to see a portrait of a beautiful woman with long silky black hair styled up, high cheekbones, and pale skin that accentuated her stormy gray eyes.
"Grandmother?" Harry asked in awe of his grandmother's unrivaled almost angelic beauty.
The woman in the portrait nodded and smiled gently as she said, "I'm Dorea Potter my dear. I come from the Black family, another old and powerful pureblood family much like the Potters. You seem to have inherited my cheekbones as well as my skin tone."
"Ah… Now who do we have here?" a strong and deep voice sounded off Behind Harry once more as he turned around again.
Harry smiled brightly and looked into the warm chocolate brown eyes of his grandfather before answering, "Hello grandfather. I'm Harry James Potter. I'm your grandson."
"Are you wearing my jacket lad?" Charlus said, barking with laughter.
Harry looked at the floor sheepishly and mumbled something. Charlus strained to hear and said, "Speak up son. I can't hear you."
"I said I didn't have any clothes of my own grandfather." Harry said with a teary eyed sniffle.
"Why ever not? Where is your father and mother?" Charlus asked, scared to know the answer.
Harry proceeded to tell his grandparents about how he was orphaned when he was one and how he had lived his life up until now. As the story progressed his grandparents got angrier and angrier until his grandfather went off shouting about how if he was alive all the things he'd do to those horrid muggles. After Dorea calmed him down they assured Harry that he'd be okay now and that the elves and they're portraits would take care of him.
The threesome had talked so long about Harry's life and the lives of his parents that Mimsey had to pop in and give Harry a tray filled with food and three brightly colored vials of a nasty tasting nutrient potion. Eventually the sun had set and it was getting very late so Mimsey popped in again and told Harry that he needed to sleep and rest. Dorea told him they should talk by the tables in the library tomorrow morning and they could get started working on his health and devising a plan of things that needed to get done.
Reluctantly Harry left to have a shower and got ready for bed by having a nice warm bath in his grandparents ensuite. Harry climbed into bed wearing his grandfather's shrunken silk pajamas and fell asleep content he would wake up tomorrow safe and sound and very well rested.
The next morning Harry woke up to the incessant crowing of a rooster at the crack of dawn and mumbled into his pillow before turning over. Apparently his parents' bedroom was right next to the tower of the owlery and there was a rooster inside. Trickster and Mimsey popped into Harry's room and started getting ready. Mimsey went to pick out Harry's outfit for the day and draw Harry a bath. Trickster tried to coax Harry out of bed and into the bathroom.
After a relaxing bath and almost falling asleep in the bathtub Harry felt instantly refreshed and awake and excited to start the day with his grandmother. Harry put on the outfit Mimsey laid out for him and looked into a full body length mirror next to the desk. Harry was wearing a forest-green V-neck and a dark purple silk button up shirt overtop of it. He also had on a pair of black silk trousers much like the gray ones from yesterday. Instead of his dark red and gold dragon hide jacket and boots he was wearing a black dragon hide jacket and boots with a purple fade in the scaly leather and silver trimmings.
Harry immediately dashed to the other end of the hall and up the stairs into the library on the third floor and went over to see his grandparents talking with Trickster in the portrait hanging over the desk and chairs set aside for reading books. As soon as they noticed Harry and what he was wearing they smiled warmly and gestured for him to take a seat at the head of the table facing them.
"Good morning darling. Did you sleep well? Have any nice dreams?" Dorea spoke softly.
"Good morning grandmother, grandfather. I slept like a baby last night and no I didn't have any dreams." Harry replied contently.
Charlus nodded with a smile and told Harry the first order of business, "Alright Harry the first thing I want you to do is go into the study and into the vault to the primary ward stone. When you get there, put your hand on it and close your eyes until you can feel the wards. After you feel them shout out lockdown. Then come back here."
"Okay." Harry replied.
Harry then went to do as his grandfather told him and went into the family vault in his study. He pricked his finger on the vault door to open it and walked into the vault and towards the pedestal with the primary ward stone on it. He put his hand on the stone and closed his eyes to focus on feeling the wards. After about a minute he felt two different wards, a big one that stretched out for what seemed like miles and a smaller one that seemed to encompass the castle and its immediate grounds.
"Lockdown!" Harry shouted, feeling the wards suddenly clam up like a stiff muscle. Harry immediately felt more secure instinctively, kind of like a sixth sense.
Somewhere in Scotland in the headmasters office at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry several silver trinkets stopped giving off sound and smoke. Albus Dumbledore wouldn't notice until much later as he was in Amsterdam for the week at an I.C.W conference doing his job as supreme mugwump.
"While you're in there make it so the floo in here works too. You'll just have to feel like you're flicking on a light switch." Harry heard his grandfather's say from in the study.
Harry did what his grandfather said and focused on the floo in the study and thought about flicking a light switch on and felt it activate and connect to the floo network. He then went out back into the study and looked around for his grandfather.
"Up here Harry. Above the door frame," Charlus said from another wizarding portrait that hung above the door, "Sometimes my father or our ancestors would help me from this portrait. Now I get to help you."
Harry smiled at his grandfather and asked, "Is there anything else I should do in here before we go back to the library with grandmother?"
"Actually now that you mention it there is something you should get from the vault. There should be a golden ring somewhere on the back shelf. It should have a great big ruby on it. Its engraved with the Potter family crest which was a griffin in flight over a sword encrusted with gems and a phoenix rising from the ashes. It also had the Latin words 'Natus Vincere' meaning Born to Conquer. Go get it and bring it out here." Charlus said seriously.
Harry did as he was asked and produced the ring for his grandfather, "Now put on the ring on your right ring finger and repeat this phrase; I, Harry James Potter, do hereby call upon magic to claim my birthright as Head and Lord of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Potter. So say I, So mote it be."
Harry put on the ring and it shrunk to fit his finger. He then repeated the phrase. Harry himself glowed gold for a moment as a surge of intoxicating power washed over him and his mind flooded with information. Harry felt empowered and stronger and very much enjoyed the feeling. Also the feeling didn't feel like it was going away.
"Wow!" Harry murmured softly, "What is this feeling grandfather?"
Charlus looked at Harry intensely as if studying him and asked, "Interesting… Harry, you said you've never met another wizard before?"
"That's right! Why is there something wrong?" Harry asked, a bit concerned.
"No not necessarily… It's just that it wasn't supposed to be that bright or powerful. It makes me wonder if you had a block on your magic that broke when it was overpowered with the family magic allowing your own magic to come back and add to it increasing the power." Charlus imparted his suspicions succinctly.
Harry relaxed a bit, still tense and asked, "Well should we go see grandmother in the library now?"
"Huh? Oh yes we should. I'll meet you there." Charlus said as he snapped out of his reverie.
Harry then walked back down the hall toward the stairs to the third floor library. When he arrived back in his chair he heard his grandparents talking in hushed whispers and was back to being concerned.
Harry raised an eyebrow as he looked at his grandparents who just shrugged and said, "Nothing you need to worry about right now."
"Okay, so what's next on the agenda for today." Harry asked.
Mimsey popped in with a tray of snacks and a pitcher of the juice from yesterday and Harry couldn't help but ask, "Mimsey what kind of drink is this?"
"This be pumpkin juice Master Harry. It be the favorite drink of many wizards and witches." Mimsey stated matter-of-factly.
"Thank you Mimsey. Any chance you can prepare some BLT sandwiches for lunch in a few hours please?" Harry asked politely with a charming smile.
Mimsey nodded her head up and down super fast and said, "Can do Master Harry. Mimsey can do that."
"I love that elf." Dorea said kindly.
"She is a very loving and caring elf." Charlus agreed.
Dorea giggled lightly and continued on, "Harry the next thing you should do is head over to the section in the far right corner of the library and pick out two books. I want you to grab the book with the title goblin culture and etiquette as well as a copy of the Potter family charter. One should be green and the other should be big and red."
After finding and grabbing the two books Harry returned to the table and opened the books to the table of contents, "What do you want me to look at in these books?"
"I only want you to read from the goblin culture and etiquette book honey. Just learn how to treat a goblin with respect and greet them properly. Goblins run the wizarding bank Gringotts and handle all our money and investments so you should always treat them with respect." Dorea said.
"The Potter family are commonly known to produce powerful warriors and astute businessmen. Goblins are a warrior race turned bankers and our family have earned their respect and even friendship which is uncommon for goblins because most wizards treat them as lesser creatures." Charlus added.
"Okay so you want me to read up on goblin culture and etiquette so I can go meet the goblins at the bank?" Harry asked to confirm.
"Yes. You'll need to bring the second book which is the Potter family charter so you can claim your lordship with the goblins and enact the end of the line clause." Charlus continued.
"What is this end of the line clause?" Harry asked.
"The end of the line clause can be enacted whenever there is one Potter left and we're nearing extinction. It enables you to be emancipated so you act as head of the family. This grants you many boons within our wizarding laws because it makes you a lord. After you've done that and asked the goblins to continue investing our money we'll start teaching you how to be lord of the family. Make sure you ask for Barchoke. He's our family's account manager." Charlus concluded.
Harry nodded and began reading the first few chapters about goblin culture and etiquette. He read about how to treat goblins with respect and how to go about earning and keeping their respect. Harry also read proper formal introductions and goodbyes as well as what emotions to avoid like fear and weakness.
After 30 minutes of light reading Harry looked up at his grandparents and said, "I think I know enough to properly meet with goblins now. How would I go about getting there and what should I wear?"
"Remember when I asked you to activate the floo in the study?" Charlus asked.
"Yeah. So I grab a handful of floo powder from the mantle and get in and throw it down saying Gringotts. Right?" Harry asked.
"Not Gringotts dear. You should say Diagon Alley. That is the main wizarding shopping district in Britain. Gringotts is toward the back of the alley. It's a big white marble building that towers over the other shops." Dorea answered.
"Diagon Alley… Okay so just to confirm you want me to go to Diagon Alley and then to Gringotts and use the info I learned from this book to meet with Barchoke to enact the end of the line clause listed in the Potter family charter. Then you want me to ensure they're still investing our money. Then come straight back here so I can start learning how to be a Lord of an old pureblood family." Harry recapped.
"Yes," both Charlus and Dorea confirmed.
"Oh and while you're there you should do an inheritance and magical ability test. Goblins use old goblin blood rituals that can trace your family history on your mother's side and check you for powerful magical abilities. Also ask for a goblin healer to check for any magical blocks and charms that might be placed on you." Dorea added.
"Anything else I need to do, like change into something formal?" Harry asked.
Harry's grandparents both shook their heads and he got up and picked up the red leatherbound book saying, "Alright I'll be safe so don't worry. Wish me luck."
"Good luck son." Charlus added.
"Good luck dear." Dorea added.
Harry then walked out of the library and down the stairs to the second floor and into the study. He tucked the Potter family charter under one arm and grabbed a handful of floo powder with the other and stepped into the fireplace before throwing it down and shouting, "Diagon Alley!"
Harry felt as though he was being pulled through a hall with a bunch of closed gateways while spinning until he came to face an open gateway and he stepped through falling flat on his backside. Harry was grumbling about how horrible floo travels were as he got up and dusted himself off.
Harry then took a long look around Diagon Alley and his eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. Everywhere he looked there was something new and exciting that caught his attention. Harry saw witches and wizards of all ages and sizes walking around in increasingly more odd clothing of various bright colors.
As Harry walked down the Alley he looked into several different shops. There was Eyelop's Owl Emporium that had a bunch of different kinds of owls in cages. There was Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor with a bunch of kids sitting and eating ice cream with their parents. There was a store called Quality Quidditch Supplies with a presumably flying broom on display in the window with a bunch of teenagers staring at it, completely mesmerized chatting amongst themselves.
Harry continued to look around the alley and at all the people and exciting new things before he saw what looked like a goblin walking in a business suit talking to a wizard about stock exchange and decided to focus on the mission. Harry looked for the giant white marble building and found it. He walked up the stairs and bowed to the goblin warriors guarding the doors which shocked them before they bowed back. This got Harry some odd looks from people passing by but he didn't care and continued into the bank.
Harry walked up to a free teller and spoke the formal goblin greeting he read in the book, "Well met, Master Teller, may your gold flow and enemies perish. My name is Lord Harry Potter of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Potter. I'm here to meet with Senior Account Manager, Master Barchoke."
Everyone in the bank froze and slowly turned to stare at Harry. The goblins were stunned into absolute silence. Harry stood tall and firm for a moment before coughing into his hand to snap them out of their shock.
The teller goblin shook his head dumbly and said, "Well met, Lord Potter. May your enemies perish and gold flow."
The teller goblin then turned and shouted at a nearby waiting goblin in a raw guttural language which Harry knew to be Gobbledegook, the goblin language. Another goblin walked up to Harry and said, "Well met, Lord Potter. If you'd follow me I'll take you to see Master Barchoke."
Harry followed the young goblin out of the main hall and into the back until they reached an office with a solid gold plaque that had Senior Account Manager - Master Barchoke' engraved on it, "Head on in Lord Potter."
"Thank you. May your coffers never empty and enemies fall." Harry said to the young goblin.
"And your enemies fall and coffers never empty Lord Potter." The goblin replied back.
Harry didn't knock because knocking would be a waste of time and to goblins time is money. At least that's what he read in the book his grandparents picked out for him. The goblin looked up at a 10 year old boy and snarled, "Who are you to just walk into my office child!"
Harry didn't show fear at the harsh and feral welcome but instead sat down in the chair with the family charter on his lap and gave a goblin greeting while flashing his Lord's ring, "Well met Senior Account Manager, Master Barchoke. May your gold flow and enemies perish. My name is Lord Harry Potter of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Potter. I'm here for business."
Barchoke's eyes went wide as he gave a wide eyed look before backtracking and apologizing, "Well Met, Lord Potter. Please forgive my rudeness, you were simply trying to save time."
"Yes I was. Apology accepted Master Barchoke, it's our first meeting and I didn't make an appointment. That being said, don't let it happen again." Harry threatened with a feral grin of his own showing Barchoke he wasn't a kid to be trifled with earning a modicum of respect from the elder goblin.
Harry continued confidently and opened the family charter to the page with the end of the line clause and handed it to Barchoke, "On to business my friend. I've come to enact the end of the line clause and ensure my emancipation. I also need a goblin healer to check me for charms and blocks. I'd also like to take an inheritance test as well as a magical abilities test. Please ensure you reactivate and maintain the family investments as well, after all you can never have too much money."
Barchoke smiled which looked positively feral and said, "We can do that Lord Potter. That we can do."
Barchoke then took out a stone bowl from his desk. The bowl had runes engraved on it and he poured a silver liquid in it and put a brown quill in the liquid. Barchoke then took out a ritual dagger and handed it to Harry, "Seven drops of blood into the liquid Lord Potter."
Harry then slit the tip of his finger and put seven drops of blood in the silver liquid turning it a deep blood red making the quill glow gold for a moment and all without wincing, earning even more respect from the goblin. Barchoke then took the quill and positioned it on a special scroll of parchment and it began writing. Once it was finished it read,

Noble and Most Ancient House of Slytherin (Maternal Ancestors - Claimable by Magic)
Heirships:
Heir Apparent - Noble and Most Ancient House of Black (Right of Succession as Lord Apparent's Heir)
After the quill was done writing it floated itself back into the stone bowl covered in runes and the red liquid turned silver again. Barchoke then picked up the parchment and began to read, his grin becoming larger and more feral as he continued on. He then handed Harry the scroll so he could read it himself and wrote something down on a piece of parchment and slipped it into a slit on his desk.
Barchoke clapped his hands together and said, "This is incredible news Lord Potter. You might very well be the richest wizard in the magical world. Possibly even the richest person in the muggle world. The houses of Peverell and Slytherin are very wealthy not to mention the house of Black, however their vaults were closed so no one could claim or use their contents. The house of Gaunt however, hasn't a knut to their name."
A few moments later a goblin came into the room carrying three small ornate wooden boxes that he handed to Barchoke. Harry put down the inheritance test scroll and looked curiously at the boxes. Barchoke opened the first one and took out a small platinum ring with an amethyst on it engraved with a family crest and motto.
Barchoke handed Harry the ring and said, "This is the heir ring to the Noble and Most Ancient house of Black. Put in on your right ring finger and it will merge with your other ring. The Black family crest is three ravens perched on crossed wands and their motto is 'Toujours Pur' meaning Always Pure."
Barchoke opened another box and took out another older looking ring made of platinum and obsidian engraved with a Thestrals in flight and the Latin motto 'Memento Mori' meaning Remember Death, "Place the ring upon your right ring finger and repeat after me; I, Harry James Potter, call upon Mother Magic to judge my worth as I lay claim to the Lordship of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Peverell. So say I, so mote it be."
Harry stopped studying the ring and put it on his finger and repeated the phrase. After he said the final word Harry felt a cool chill creep up his bones from the ring and felt a wave of dark power wash over him. The ring then shrunk and merged with his other two rings.
Barchoke shivered as the ambient magic washed over Harry and he then gazed intensely at the ring as it merged with the other rings. He then let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and grinned ferally saying, "Congratulations Lord Peverell."
"Thank you Master Barchoke. Shall we move onto the next two?" Harry said confidently.
"Forgive us Lord Potter but there is only one other ring. The Slytherin lordship ring was never given to Gringotts. Many searched for it in the past but it was never found. It remains lost to this day. Perhaps you'll be the one to finally find it." Barchoke stated.
Harry nodded at that and looked to the final box as Barchoke took out an ornate ring made of sterling silver shaped in the form of a serpent with an emerald on it engraved with a giant snake for a crest and the motto 'Semper Purus' meaning Forever Pure and handed it to him saying, "Same phrase as before Lord Potter."
Harry slipped the ring onto his finger and said, "I, Harry James Potter, call upon Mother Magic to judge my worth as I lay claim to the Lordship of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Gaunt. So say I, so mote it be."
Again Harry felt a dark sensation wash over him and heard hissing coming from the ring. Harry looked down at the ring and saw the snake head moving animatedly before it spoke, §Are you worthy, speaker?§
Harry thought carefully for a second, the snake watching him the whole time before replying, scaring Barchoke into flinching, §Of course I am. I was simply born to conquer.§
The snake hissed again before going back to normal, §Very well speaker. I find you worthy to carry on Salazar Slytherin's legacy.§
"Absolutely sublime Lord Gaunt! Congratulations! I never would have suspected a Potter to be a Parselmouth" Barchoke grinned even more ferally if that was at all possible for a goblin.
"What's a Parselmouth Master Barchoke?" Harry asked confusedly.
Barchoke let out uproarious laughter banging his fist on the table before chuckling out, "You didn't even know you were speaking Parseltongue and the ring still accepted you."
"Parseltongue?" Harry asked, still confused.
"Yes Lord Potter, Parseltongue. Parseltongue is the magical ability to speak the language of snakes. You spoke it when the ring was talking to you. Being a Parselmouth means you have the ability to speak Parseltongue, read Parselscript, and perform Parselmagic. Truly Sublime Lord Potter!" Barchoke answered excitedly.
Harry had a huge shit eating grin on his face and said, "Excellent! I shall be requiring an accounting of all my holdings for each house to take home with me as well Master Barchoke."
"Of course it shall be done. However I should mention there was one other person who tried and failed to claim the Lordship of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Gaunt about 50 years ago. His name was Tom Marvolo Riddle, more commonly known as Voldemort. He is a dark wizard and psychotic terrorist. He was the one who killed your parents and gave you the scar that made you famous." Barchoke said all traces of laughter and happiness were completely gone from his visage.
"Did you say famous? Why would I be famous for such a thing?" Harry asked while touching his scar absent mindedly.
"You don't know?" Barchoke asked, confused himself.
"No, I've only just reentered the wizarding world from the muggle world a few days ago." Harry replied.
"Oh gronk nuggs!" Barchoke swore loudly before huffing and gruffing and telling the story, "Just after you turned 1, Voldemort was waging war on the wizarding world and winning. He attacked you and your parents on Halloween. After he killed your parents he tried to kill you but rumor has it his curse rebounded and killed him instead, ending the wizarding war once and for all. Some say he's gone for good but we think he's still out there."
"So that's why I'm famous? Because my parents were murdered. My muggle relatives always told me they died in a car crash." Harry said looking down disheartened.
Barchoke growled and then spoke softly, which is odd for a goblin to do, "Not necessarily Harry… It was because you survived the killing curse. The killing curse is said to be unblockable and is guaranteed to kill 100% of the time. From then on the entire wizarding world gave you the moniker The-Boy-Who-Lived. There isn't a witch or wizard alive who doesn't know your name."
"That's an awfully terrible thing to call a war orphan." Harry mumbled before letting out a huge sigh, "This is a lot to take in. Let's just continue on to whatever's next."
Barchoke took out another quill, this one gray and white and replaced the brown quill with it. He then handed Harry the dagger gingerly and took out another scroll saying, "Another seven drops and we can see if you have any other magical abilities, Lord Potter."
Harry once again slit his finger again and dropped another seven drops of blood into the silver liquid turning it back to a dark blood red. Barchoke positioned the quill after it glowed silver and it began writing. Once it was finished the magical abilities test read;
Magical Abilities and Affinities Test:
Subject Name:
Harry James Potter
Biological Parents:
Father - James Charlus Potter
Mother - Lily Marie Potter (Née Evans)
Magical Power on the Emrys Scale:
731 - Class: Mage
Magical Affinities:
Battle Magic - Charms - Transfiguration - Potions - Dark Arts - Alchemy
Magical Abilities:
Parselmouth - Animagus - Metamorphmagus - Natural Occlumens - Storm Elemental
"For the love of Gringott! Not even a Hogwarts student and you're already a powerful Mage!" Barked Barchoke.
"I take it that these results are extremely good." Harry said pompously with a shit eating grin
"Potter, you might be the second coming of Merlin. Most wizards who take this test have one or two affinities and a singular common ability like the Animagus transformation. You have 6 powerful affinities and 5 powerful abilities, three of which are extremely rare." Barchoke practically shouted in uproar before cackling madly.
Harry didn't know if goblin mood swings were a thing but Barchoke became all serious again and said, "You also need to be checked by one of our healers to see if any of these abilities have been blocked, yes?"
"Yes and if possible who blocked them. My grandfather's wizarding portrait watched me claim the family magic and thinks one block might have been broken or overwhelmed." Harry replied seriously.
"Alright well let's go to the healers chamber while I have someone fetch a summary of your account's holdings." Barchoke replied, getting up and walking out from behind his desk.
The duo walked deeper into the hall and out into a larger chamber where they met a healer who had Harry take off his jacket and shirts. After he'd done that they sat him down in a goblin ritual circle and they scanned him for blocks and charms using goblin magic.
The healer goblin snarled after writing down his findings and then told Harry he had a block on his magical core that was broken earlier that day that returned more than 50% of his magic to him. This would have caused severe issues later on in life had it not been removed. The magical signature residue belonged to Albus Dumbledore.
There was also a block on his Animagus ability which the goblin healer removed and was also placed by Albus Dumbledore. This meant he would have never been able to become an Animagus, it would have appeared as though he didn't have the ability.
There was another block on his metamorphmagus ability which was removed. Three guesses who place that one and the last two don't count. The moment the goblin healer removed this Harry's hair laid flatter and turned a bright crimson, not a natural red like a certain light family with too many kids and blind faith in all things Dumbledore.
There was a fourth block on Harry's Storm Elemental ability. The goblins removed this one and got zapped lightly for their efforts which Harry couldn't help but giggle at a bit which in turn earned him a low snarl which didn't even faze him as he continued to smile cheekily which earned him the healer goblin's respect.
There was a fifth and final block on Harry's Natural Occlumens ability which when removed made his head lighter and thoughts clearer and more sharp. After this block was removed Harry started to get blurry vision and was worried he was going to faint but what was actually happening was his magic which was unblocked and the block on his mind which was just lifted were working double time to heal his vision that had suffered from the horcrux in his head.
Harry told the goblins about his vision and they recommended he take off his glasses. The moment he did his vision was crystal clear which he gasped at in complete and utter awe. His crappy old second hand reading glasses never made his vision as good as it was now in fact it probably made it worse. He threw out his old and broken glasses on the way out of the healing chamber.
Harry and Barchoke talked for a bit about his finances and Barchoke ensured Harry that his investments would start back up again now that he was an emancipated lord. Harry said his goodbyes with the respectful goblin etiquette he learned and Harry walked back to the floo station in Diagon Alley. Harry floo'd home with a shout of Potter Castle crash landing in his study in a heap of folders and soot.
"Bout time you got home lad. Your grandmother was worried sick," Charlus Potter exclaimed, "What happened to your hair?"
Before Harry could reply Dorea had pushed Charlus out of the frame and started firing off rapid questions. Harry simply got up and collected his folders, placing them on his large dark stained oak desk and sat down before saying, "Grandmother, I'm fine. Now would you like me to start talking?"
Dorea smiled sheepishly before saying, "Yes please."
Harry then proceeded to talk about his meeting with the goblins and about his multiple lordships. He mentioned his magical affinities and magical abilities and Dorea gasped when Harry told her he was a metamorphmagus. She looked so proud of him after he said that which had him positively beaming. Harry continued on about his abilities as a Parselmouth and Dorea gasped again before apologizing and asking him to continue.
Harry then mentioned the blocks on all his magical abilities and how it was a man named Albus Dumbledore who placed them which made her growl and yank Charlus back into the frame asking him to repeat himself. So Harry retold the story to his grandfather and by the end Charlus was smiling proudly and then snarling angrily. Charlus proceeded to tell Harry about Albus Dumbledore and who he was and where he would come into Harry's life.
At some point through all of the talking Harry did get to eat the BLT sandwiches Mimsey prepared for him earlier. Harry and his grandparents talked about his training to become a proper pureblood lord and in basic magic. They also talked about doing Occlumency meditation exercises before bed every night so he could start organizing his thoughts and strengthen his mental faculties. Eventually Harry could start working on a mind scape which would come easier to him because he was a natural Occlumens.
Harry eventually needed something to finish off the day with and decided to check on his familiar. Garuda came to him when he called in a flash of lightning and berated him for not calling him sooner. Garuda also mentioned that Harry could talk in his mind and use telepathy to talk back to Garuda instead of needing to talk out loud. After a thorough tongue lashing from the giant Thunderbird Garuda lowered himself for Harry to climb aboard and they flew over the grounds and passed the mountains.
The duo of wizard and familiar were eventually joined in flight by a herd of griffins that formed a V formation with Garuda at the front and center. They flew for about an hour and then went back to the castle for dinner. Harry promised to talk to and go riding with Garuda more often and that he would seek advice from his familiar should he ever need it. Garuda also mentioned if he was ever in distress or in need of an emergency getaway all Harry would have to do is call to him and he would appear in a flash of lightning.
Harry started his evening routine and did the meditation exercises with his grandmother in the study who also tried to help him control his metamorphmagus powers and turn his hair back to normal. Harry then had some dinner with another disgusting round of nutrient potions that would help his magic accelerate the healing process and undo some of the damage the malnutrition did over the past 9 years. It would also help Harry put on some much needed weight, preferably muscle.
Before Harry went to bed his grandfather had him go down to the armory and use his magic to feel the wands of his ancestors that were mounted on the wall and see which one worked best. Harry ended up picking an ornate white 11 1/2 inch wand made of yew with a spiraling twist at the base for a handle and a core of Thestral tail hair. With both the Peverell and Gaunt family magic surging threw his magical core and an affinity for the dark arts the wand was thrumming warmly in his hand and gushing with power.
His grandfather wanted him to master the Lumos charm before bed, Harry proceeded to blind his grandfather and himself partially with a super overpowered Lumos charm. Charlus then shouted at him the spell to turn the charm off 'Nox'. Before Harry tucked himself into bed his grandfather told him they'd work on power regulation in the morning.
Harry fell asleep the moment his head hit the pillow. After such an overwhelming day and a relaxing cooldown before bed he was sent off to visit the land of Morpheus and dreamt of a future where he added his own legacy to the Potter name and had many children to tell his tale after he was gone.
Author's Note: Hey guys! Thanks for reading another chapter! There is a lot of content in this once and it's kind of a major cliché chapter but there is going to be a one year time skip to the final month of training and a summary of said training before Hogwarts in the next chapter. For the dragonhide coat I invented I imagine it to be 3/4ths an inch thick, slippery, leathery, and to hang down to where the back pockets of pants would end on your backside. The coat would also have silver and gold buttons on pockets and zipper respectively though it would remain unzipped. For the boots just imagine any old leather combat boots but they'd be red and gold or black and purple scaly leather with a color fade as well as gold laces for the red and gold boots and purple laces or the black and purple boots. In this story my goblins from Gringotts are somewhat based on the goblins from Harry Crow by RobSt. Be sure to check that story out. I highly recommend it. Another thing I want to put in the story maybe around first year is Harry apprenticing under Nicholas Flamel for his Storm Elemental ability. Let me know in a review if you'd like to see me right that in. Next Chapter we get to go to Diagon Alley and make a dramatic reveal as well as see Dumbledore panic about Harry's location and finally get going to Hogwarts. Might do up to the Hogwarts Express, the sorting, and maybe Snape's first class. Thanks for reading and Don't forget to leave a review.
