Chapter 7- Real friends

Bang Bang Bang! "BPD! Open up" Hiccup yelled but no response came. Hiccup kicked in the door and threw in a Flash-bang Grenade. After the Explosion he went in. Pistol and lamp drawn.m ready to shoot.

"Here 10-20 SWAT. I'm going in send me air support" Hiccup called over his radio and at the same moment multiple Police officers arrived at the scene. Rifles drawn they went to Hiccups side and they slowly made their way into the House clearing room after room.

Suddenly two shots fell. All officers went into a prone position. "Here is 10-20 shots fired, shots fired" Hiccup stated over his radio and pulled a second Flash-bang grenade. He looked back at the Officers which stood behind him and they gave him a nod. He pulled the pin and threw the Flash-bang into the living room where the shots came from.

In that moment when Hiccup barged into the room he saw a figure disappear from the Window. He shot two times but missed and made his way to the to bodies which laid on the floor.

He gasped as his thoughts where proven to be right as he saw Ingrid and Ivan Hofferson laying on the floor. Ivan, Astrids Father was announced dead at the scene because the bullet had penetrated his Heart and killed him on the spot but Ingrid was still alive but the Bullet had penetrated an artery and she threatened to bleed out. Hiccup jumped to her side and pressed at the wound.

She grabbed his Arm with her bloody hand and pulled her up to him. "Watch for her" where the last words she said then her grip on Hiccups arm loosened and her Heartbeat had stopped. Hiccup's eyes started to tear up and then Astrid came in. She saw Hiccup's hand still on her mothers Chest. But her Mother didn't move. Hiccup noticed her and stood up and walked up to her. "Astrid... i'm sorry" he said. "No No No No" she yelled in disbelieve and then she started running to ther dead mother and father. Hiccup caught her and higged her tightly. "No No No she can't be gone NO!" She yelled between her sobs. "It's okay Astrid it's okay let it all out" after that said he hugged him back and burried her face into his shoulder and Hiccup gently rubbed her back to comfort her.

Astrid cried even more as they went out and Hiccup placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and highed her again tightly.

The bravo Squad arrived at the scene watching Hiccup comforting Astrid. They watched in Horror as two body bags where transported out of the house. Hiccup instinctive turned Astrid to the other side so she didn't have to see this.

"Please don't tell me this happened" One of the off duty SWAT officers asked Hiccup.

"Ho look for your self" an annoyed Hiccup said and pulled out his radio. "Air-15 you got something?" Hiccup asked the Helo Pilot. "Negative 10-20 i'm afraid your suspect is gone for good luck, over" Came the replie from the radio and Hiccup lead Astrid to his Car and then drove home.

After they reached his house he went in with her in his arms. Stoick shot up looking worried. "Astrid less. I heard about it and i'm so sorry for you. I want to tell younthat you are welcome here anytime" Stoick stated reassuring and Astrid nodded and smiled somehow. Hiccup took her and they went upstairs to his room.

"Okey Astrid you can sleep in my bed. I'll go downstairs and sleep there" He stated and wanted to go out of his room as Astrid grabbed his arm and spun him around.

"Hiccup you can't be serious. I can't take your bed" She protested.

"Astrid this is the least i should do after what happened today" Hiccup said and took her hand.

"Okey than i'll share it with you. I hate it anyways to sleep alone when i'm this low" She said leaving a completely shocked Hiccup.

"Astrid i-" He began but was cut off by her as she pressed her index finger onto his lips.

"Hiccup share it with me or i'll go downstairs" She said in a threatening voice and Hiccup gave in.

He opened his wardrobe and handed Astrid a fresh T-shirt and some shorts. She went into the bathroom and took a shower. When she came back Hiccup was already asleep and she smiled at the site of a sleeping Hiccup. She lifted the blanket and cuddled her self to Hiccups side who woke up at the feeling that something was pressing against him. He opened his eyes and saw the cutest smile of Astrid she could offer and he wrapped his Arms around her and they both fell asleep.

The next day Hiccup woke up only to find that Astrid wasn't laying on his side anymore. He put on his clothes and went downstairs and saw a black figure standing over a two bodies. The figure had a Pistol in his hand and then he pulled the Trigger twice shooting the bodies. Hiccup flinched and rand to the bodies and recognized them instantly. His Father and ASTRID both with a whole in their head. Suddenly Astrid woke up still with that whole in her head. "Why didn't you come earlier. You could have saved me" she said and with that Stoick woke up too and said the same thing. Then the masked figure took off his mask revealing Ingrid's face who said exactly the same and Hiccup backed away. Completely in shock he pulled his Pistol and aimed at the walking dead people. They got closer and closer. Suddenly Hiccup took his Pistol and aimed hit at his head and he met out a loud scream as he pulled the Trigger.

He jumped up from his bed sweating completely and breathing heavily. Astrid jumped up to his side and hugged him. "Only a Nightmare... Only a Nightmare..." He managed to say. "Everything is okay Hiccup calm down" Astrid said reassuring. Hiccup shook his head. "They where right" He said. "Who was right?" Astrid asked curious. "They... you. If i was any faster i could have saved them" He said and threw his head in his arms. "Hiccup it wasn't your fault" Astrid replied rubbing his back.

Suddenly Stoick barged in seeing his son completely wet from the sweat and breathing heavily he sighed. "Again a Nightmare?" He asked and Astrid looked bewildered. "What do you mean by again?" She asked. "He has got those Nightmares since civilian was killed during one of his operations and now he had them the whole time. Sometime he can't even go back to sleep and other times he cries himself to sleep again" Stoick explained and with that he went back out seeing that Astrid got everything under control.

She laid him back into the bed. She took his arms and wrapped them around her while she pressed herself against him. "Everything is okey" She said a last time and kissed him on the lips.
