Once the numerous heads disappeared we had reached our destination, an abandoned Commons factory.
All the heavy machinery had been disposed of so there was no inherent danger of getting injured. But the smell of rusting iron wasn't very pleasant.
I let go of Ruri's hand as she stepped backwards before bumping into Yuzu.
"Wait Yuzu?" Ruri asked in surprised
"I didn't want to let you go alone" Yuzu said
"And Sawatari?"
"I had to leave him behind"
"Oh"
Ruri turned towards me as did Yuzu.
"I'm guessing you're wondering where we are. Let's just say this is a place where nobody will interrupt us" I said as I activated my duel disk, "So then which one of you two will be my opponent"
"I'll be your opponent, Yuzu stay back" Ruri said
"Do you really believe that you can defeat him? I know Sawatari isn't the best duelist but he was beaten so easily, do you believe you can win?" Yuzu asked
"I- I need to win. For Yuto, Shun and Raizen. I can't give up now" Ruri said as determination returned to her eyes
Now that's a good look, I can feel the rage behind her stare. I'll enjoy tearing her down.
"But-"
"Are you two done yet? If you're still undecided I'll just take you two on at the same time, I don't have any problemsdoing that. Let's get this duel started" I said interrupting Yuzu
"After all I know I won't lose" I said with a smirk
"You will, I'll make sure you do!" Ruri said as she activated her duel disk
"I don't how much help I'll be but I'll do my best to support you" Yuzu said activating her duel disk
"One more thing I've had certain technology implemented in this factory that will prevent your action fields from being activated courtesy of the fusion dimension of course, so say goodbye to those action spells" I said as I activated my duel disk

"Guess we're dueling normally, I'll go first" Yuzu said

"I normal summon Aria the Melodious Diva"

Aria plays the harp on her back which sends forth musical notes towards me.

"We're not done yet, Ruri!" Yuzu said

"I activate the spell card- one for one. I send Lyrilusc-Beryl Canary from my hand to the grave and special summon Lyrilusc- Cobalt sparrow"

"When Cobalt Sparrow is special summoned I get to add a copy of it from my deck. I now normal summon the Cobalt sparrow I just added"

"I activate Recital Starling's effect, if this card is Xyz summoned I can increase a face up monster's attack and defense by 300 points for each overlay unit it has. I use it's effect on Aria the Melodious Diva increasing it's attack and defense by 600 points"

"Guess it's finally my turn, I draw" I said

"Since you control a monster special summoned from the extra deck, I activate the spell card-Shaddoll fusion" I said as I showed it to the two of them
"Looks like he's going all out from the beginning" Yuzu said
"He's a tough opponent we can't let our guard down" Ruri said
"Using its effect I can fusion summon using monsters from my deck. I send Reshaddoll Wendi and Lightpulsar Dragon from my deck to the grave for a fusion summon."
"I combine the light of life with my shaddoll to bring into existence an inorganic anomaly! Fusion Summon! Come Forth El Shaddoll Construct!" I said as I joined my hands
My Construct appeared surrounded by her numerous strings and her signature dull expression as she stared at my opponents.

"I activate Construct's effect to send Shaddoll dragon to the grave from my deck. I also activate the effect of my Reeshaddoll Wendi in the grave allowing me to special summon a shaddoll from my deck"
"I special summon Shaddoll beast face down. Now my Shaddoll Dragon's effect activates allowing me to destroy a set card you control, I choose to destroy Yuzu's set card-"
"I activate my trap card-Melodious Song of divine punishment. It's effect allows me to deal 800 damage for each Melodious monster I control, since I control only one you'll be taking 800 damage" Yuzu said interrupting me
An Aurora appeared above me from which a single strike of lightning descended and immediately struck me.
"Urgh"

"Good job Yuzu we've almost got him down to half his life points, you're not going to make it past this duel Shad" Ruri said
"Don't start celebrating just yet, we've got a whole duel remaining. I summon Nehshaddoll Genius'' I said

"Battle Phase! I attack your Aria with my Construct. At the beginning of the damage step Construct's effect destroys a monster that it battles with"
Aria was constricted by multiple strings and eventually destroyed.
"Now Nehshaddoll Genius attacks you, Yuzu, directly"
Nehshaddoll Genius struck at Yuzu, throwing her to the ground.

"Gahh" she winced as she attempted to get up
"I set two cards and end my turn, Your move" I said
"I draw!" Yuzu said as she managed to stand up

"I normal summon Soprano the Melodious Songstress. I then activate her effect to fuse her with Tamtam the melodious diva in my hand"
"Angel's song! Supreme genius! With the guidance of the baton, gather your power! Fusion Summon! Now come here to the stage! Sing the song of victory! Bloom Diva the Floral Melodious Saint!"

"That monster of yours is pretty annoying I'll be honest" I said
"I can say the same for yours but let's leave that aside. Battle Phase! Bloom Diva attacks El shaddoll construct"
Our two monsters approached each other.
"At the beginning of the damage step your bloom diva is destroyed" I said snapping my fingers
El shaddoll constructs threads immobilized Bloom diva and destroyed her.
"My Bloom Diva isn't the only that's going to be destroyed, since she battled your Construct your construct will also be destroyed at the end of the battle" she said
Petals began to bloom on construct spreading until they encapsulated her entire being and she shattered.
"When El Shaddoll Construct is destroyed I get to a Shaddoll spell or trap from my grave to my hand, I choose to add Shaddoll fusion back to my hand" I said showing it to my opponents
"Seems like you should have played more defensively your field is completely open for a direct attack from yours truly"
"Well I'm not done yet. I activate the spell card-Re-fusion by paying 800 life points, I special summon my bloom diva back to the field. Then I equip Re-fusion to it"

"I activate the effect of Lyrilusc-Sapphire Swallow since I control a Lyrilusc I can special summon it and a level 1 Lyrilusc from my hand. So I special summon Sapphire Swallow and a copy of it from my hand"

"Using my two Sapphire Swallow I Xyz summon another Lyrilusc-Recital Starling and using its effect I increase the attack of Bloom Diva by 600 points"

"Was that your grand plan? Summoning these two 0 attack monsters, I'm just kidding. I know better than to underestimate weak monsters. So come on show me what you've got" I said clenching my fist
"You won't survive past this battle phase. Recital starling attack his Nehshaddoll genius"
Her Recital Starling began to fly towards my Genius.
"Why are you attacking my Genius? That starling of yours has to have an effect" I said
"It does. When it attacks your monster you also take the battle damage that is inflicted to me" she said
"So this is all a gambit then, you'd hurt yourself to take me out, not a very wise choice" I said
"I won't be taking any damage luckily, I activate the trap card-Waboku which negates all battle damage I take"
"So if you attack me with both of your starlings I'll be taking about 3600 damage"
"That's right and with only 2400 life points you're not going to survive this" she said, "This is for all the pain and suffering you've caused us"
"It seems my time has come…-You thought. I'm not going anywhere. I activate my trap card Rainbow life, I'm sure you're familiar with its effect, now every time I would take damage I would instead gain and equivalent amount of life points"
Recital Starlings attack connected with my Nehshaddol but the shockwaves from her attack that were arriving towards me were transformed into rejuvenating rays of light.

"Thanks for the life points, why don't you go ahead and attack me with your second Recital starling too? Hahaha" I smirked
"Go ahead and end your turn"
"I change my Recital starling to defense position, I then activate both my Recital starling's effects grabbing Lyrilusc-Beryl Canary and Lyrilusc-Celestine Wagtail, I now end my turn" she said somewhat defiantly
"Then I'll begin my turn, Draw!"
Turn 6-Shad (4800 LP) Hand-4
"I'll begin by flipping my face down, Shaddoll beast face up. When it's flipped face up it's effect activates allowing me to draw two cards and send one to the grave"
I drew two cards from my deck and sent one from my hand to the grave.
"The card I sent to the graveyard was shaddoll falco, I activate its effect and special summon it face down on the field"
I crack my knuckles.
"Now it's time for an encore. I activate Shaddoll fusion and send shaddoll dragon and Nehshaddol Genius from my deck to the grave"
"Dark horrors that give birth to fantastical tears in reality. Merge with the earth, the very soul of existence itself and create a being that negates its own light of life. Fusion Summon! Reveal yourself, El Shaddoll Shekhinaga"

"Now the effects of my Genius and Dragon which were sent for Shekhinaga's fusion summon activate. Dragon's effect destroys your re-fusion" I said pointing to the card
A corporeal Shaddoll dragon slashed at the spell destroying it.
"When my Re-fusion is destroyed my equipped monster is banished" Yuzu said
"But I'm not done yet, my Genius's effect activates. I'll use its effect to target your attack position Recital Starling and negate its effects"
"Battle phase! This is the end Yuzu, there won't be any action cards saving you. Shaddoll beast attack her directly"
Shaddoll beast leaped into the air and slashed at her with its long claws.
"Aghh" Yuzu shouted out as she was knocked back

"Yuzu!" Ruri shouted out as she ran towards her and bent down
"I'm fine just tired, I believe in you Ruri, finish this duel and defeat Shad" Yuzu said as she closed her eyes and went unconscious
"I'll be sure to win, Yuzu" She said as she stood up and turned her enraged stare towards me.
