I don't own Disney or its characters, but only my OCs.
The Disneyland Adventure Chronicles
Chapter 1: New Friends
The Grimaldi family arrived at Disneyland, Paris in the early morning.
They were staying in at the Hotel Explorers Marne La Vallee which was 1.2 miles from the theme park and to their liking.
It had a nice swimming pool and indoor playground with lots of opportunities for kids to spend their superfluous energy. Including lots of different food opportunities at various price levels.
All of the guest rooms came with a TV with international channels and offer tea and coffee making facilities. Family rooms which can accommodate up to 6 guests in one room were also available at Explorers Disneyland Paris.
The trip to Disneyland Paris for the Grimaldi family was so far going smoothly.
Alexandra sat in her bed, texting on her iPhone.
Unlike her younger sister, she only found the hotel a bit thrilling to her taste since its theme was more for young kids than teenagers.
Jordan then came into the room to talk to his older daughter.
"Hey, Alex."Jordan greeted.
"Hey, daddy."Alexandra answered, not taking her eyes off her phone.
Jordan cleared his throat causing Alexandra to place her phone down before looking at her father in the eyes.
"Yes, daddy dearest?"Alexandra asked with a small grin.
"We need to talk."Jordan said.
Jordan sat on the bed as Alexandra sat on her knees.
"What's there to talk about?"Alexandra questioned. "You and Raine are busy with Millie. I'm not that important to any of you."
"Yes, you are."Jordan replied with a small frown. "Alex. If you think I married again, just so that I can forget your mother then you got it all wrong. I just didn't want you to feel lonely without a mother and being an only child."
Jordan placed his hand onto Alexandra's.
"Raine maybe not be the one who gave birth to you, but she is trying her best to treat you like she was her own. She loves you as much as I and Millie do."Jordan exclaimed. "Can you at least try to get along with her and be more of a better older sister to Millie?"
Alexandra closed her eyes before letting out a sigh.
"Fine."Alexandra responded and smiled a bit. "I'll try my best."
"Thank you."Jordan answered with a hint of pride. "Hey, tell you what? When we go to the theme park tomorrow, we'll try and go to the rides you like. Perhaps visiting the Magic Kingdom area?"
Alexandra looked down.
Her father didn't know everything.
But when he was right, he was right.
Alexandra loved the Disney parks. So did her little sister. Even though she and her father previously lived in Orlando in the past, they all went to the parks whenever they could afford it.
"But the Magic Kingdom, dad? It's for little kids."Alexandra retorted. "Animal Kingdom would be awesome. But the Magic Kingdom?"
"It's just that…you are growing up so fast."Jordan admitted. "And someday you won't be interested in this sort of things anymore. I just want to make more time with you before you head to college."
Alexandra smiled, now understanding her father's intentions.
"Alright, dad."Alexandra said, hugging Jordan. "I'll make sure we have the best summer holiday ever. Because you can only be young once."
Jordan gives Alexandra a kiss on the forehead.
"Thank you, sunflower."Jordan thanked.
The next morning, Alexandra went to the Disneyland theme park accompanied by her parents and Millie.
Like other families and guests, they first watched a parade of amazing floats that represented Mickey Mouse and all of his friends.
Millie squealed excitedly when the horse-drawn carriages carrying the Disney princesses appeared.
When the parade was done, the Grimaldi family then went to have fun on the rides.
They went to Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Alice's Curious Labyrinth, Flying Carpets Over Agrabah and various others.
After coming out of the Annette's Diner, Jordan and Raine decided to leave the girls by themselves.
"Girls, your mother and I just have to go and check a few things back in the hotel."Jordan declared.
"Make sure to stay together at all times."Raine added. "The theme park is very big and we wouldn't any of you to get lost."
Alexandra nodded. "Okay."
"We understand, mum."Millie responded happily.
Jordan and Raine walked off as Millie suddenly grabbed Alexandra's hand to drag her away.
"Whoa!"Alexandra said in surprise. "What's the rush, Millie?"
"I wanna go to the Princess Pavilion and meet the princesses!"Millie giggled. "Let's go now!"
Millie lead Alexandra to the Princess Pavilion, only for them to a huge line of children waiting in the cue with their parents.
"Aw!"Millie whined in disappointment. "There's no way we can get a turn after so many people!"
An idea came to Alexandra's mind.
"I've got an idea, Millie."Alexandra remarked. "How about we get ourselves some treats to eat. We won't have to get peckish, if we satisfy our sweet teeth."
"Yippee!"Millie cheered, clapping in delight.
Alexandra and Millie headed off to the Main Street to go to Cookie Kitchen to buy some treats.
"Can I have one Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie with Chocolate Dipped Ears."Alexandra suggested. "And one Mickey Shaped Marshmallow with Chocolate Dipped Ears Sprinkled with Coconut, please."
The owner of the bakery gave the half-sisters the donuts that they wanted before they headed out.
On the way out, a thirteen year old accidentally bumped into Alexandra, but she was able to catch her paper bags of donuts before they fell to the ground.
The boy had spiky black hair, fair skin and dark brown eyes. He wore a red shirt over a white t-shirt along with blue jeans and white-red sneakers as well as a red and white cap. He also carried a brown backpack with a light black strap.
"Oh, sorry about that."the boy apologised. "I didn't hurt you, right?"
Alexandra shook her head.
"Nah. I'm totally fine."Alexandra replied and held up the doughnut bags. "What's also important I didn't drop the tasty treats that I paid for."
A light chuckle escaped from the boy's mouth.
"Right."Samuel responded. "Hello, I'm Samuel."
"Hi. I'm Alexandra. But you can call me Alex."Alexandra exclaimed and introduced Millie. "And this is my little sister, Millie."
"Hi!"Millie greeted with a bright smile.
After introducing themselves to Samuel, the Grimaldi sisters met their new friend's companions (Bridget and Ryan) in Adventureland.
Bridget was a twelve-year-old girl with caramel blonde hair that framed her face with a loose strand on each side of the head. Her eyes were turquoise with magenta glasses. She wore a pink long-sleeve shirt with a purple buttoned one-piece over it, short magenta socks and white sneakers with pale blue detail.
Ryan was a thirteen-year-old boy of French and Japanese descent, making him something of a rarity among his peers due to his bright blonde hair, peach complexion and cold blue eyes. He wore a black shirt, a yellow jacket with a pocket on each side, a green metallic shaped ornament around the neck, dark green pants, yellow socks and green sneakers with dark green stripes and white soles.
The five kids sat together eating their doughnut snacks while talking together.
"So, are you guys here in Disneyland for the whole holiday?"Ryan asked.
"That's right."Alexandra agreed with a nod. "It's all about making memories."
"Well. That's nice."Bridget complemented as she typed a few things on her purple laptop. "My dad is mostly busy in the holidays and barely has time for me or my siblings."
"Which is why my aunt asked Bridget's parents, if she could stay in the holidays with me."Samuel stated. "Just like Ryan."
"Are your parents busy working too, Ryan?"Millie suggested.
Ryan shook his head before taking a sip from his can of fizzy water.
"They're actually working here as hosts."Ryan commented. "You know like guides in Walt Disney World."
Bridget placed her laptop back in her silver-coloured backpack.
"If you're parents are busy working here that means we'll get permission to go any rides we want."Samuel assumed.
Ryan frowned. "I doubt it."
"It still would mean good news if they're working here, Ryan."Samuel commented. "My aunt could use some extra money."
Alexandra looked at Samuel.
"What do you mean, Samuel?"Alexandra asked.
"Yeah."Samuel said with a nod. "I live with my aunt. My parents…They aren't around."
Millie looked at Samuel with a sad expression as Alexandra suddenly felt awful for asking her question.
"Sorry for asking."Alexandra apologised.
"It's okay."Samuel assured in a soft voice. "My aunt's cool. She took me in after my parents were killed in a car accident when I was not much younger than Millie. She has been like a real mother to me."
"You must be happy being with her."Alexandra remarked.
Samuel smiled. "I am."
Bridget looked at Ryan.
"Which attraction did your parents say are working in, Ryan?"Bridget asked.
"The Phantom Manor. They're going to be playing the voices of the ghosts."Ryan admitted. "The ghosts that move with technology."
Millie shivered at the mention of the Phantom Manor.
It was her least favourite attraction in Disneyland Park.
"But ghosts are not real, right?"Millie asked.
"Of course not, Millie."Alexandra scoffed. "Ghosts only exist in scary storybooks."
"What is scarier than ghosts are the Disney villains."Ryan chuckled. "Imagine the disasters that would happen if they ever existed."
"Eesh, you said it."Samuel sneered.
An annoyed scoff escaped from Bridget's mouth.
"Don't say stuff like that."Bridget pleaded. "And there are people who say be careful what you wish for."
"Of course."Ryan said with a sheepish smile. "My bad."
Alexandra placed Millie on her lap.
"Don't worry, Millie."Alexandra said kindly. "I'm not going to let anything scare you. Not as long as I'm around."
Millie continued eating her doughnut, feeling less scared at her older sister's words.
The Grimaldi sisters have met new friends, but what will happen next? See you in the next chapter!
