Prologue

AN: Please don't hurt me people, I don't know a whole lot about the Dream Valley structure n stuff and don't know a whole lot about the ponies themselves, which is why I brought in original characters. Trying my best not to screw all of it up, lalalalala! ^_^

Night had fallen over the small town of Dream Valley, the normal silent skies swiped up beneath itself, and replaced with a foreboding tone that pended warning. The winds were erratic, bouncing back and forth like some twister striving to touch down, the lightening flashing across the sky, silhouetted by the rolling thunder that accompanied it. Rain had yet to spark into such a dreary night, though remnants of the air told anyone wise enough that it would only be a matter of time. Yes, the usual contagiously happy town of Dream Valley became a torrent for the savagery ahead. No one dared out side their homes on such a night, the small ponies huddled to one another close from fear, desperate for comfort.
However, the chaotic night was soon to meet its equal. Everything was peaceful in the small hospital clinic located within the center of Dream Valley. There were to be no injuries today, for there would be no ponies outside to romp and play… or at least that's what the doctor Wigwam thought..
The doors to the clinic suddenly burst open, there standing before them a pony like no other. His skin was a pitch black, radiating with the vibrant colors that melted like fire around him, including that of his tail, hooves, and symbol. His hair was a fire red, his eyes an orange that beat well with his colors, a cross-shaped scar covering over his right cheek. As lightening flashed, one could better see the condition of the pony, which was not good by any means. His body was inflicted with cuts and scrapes of many kinds, blood gashing from a wound on his front right leg. His breath came out harsh and raged, and he looked on the verge of collapse.
"Oh.. my.." Wigwam took a step forward, his features wracked with complete and utter shock, fear streaking across his normally delicate eyes.
"I need.. some help.." the exhausted pony let out his simple cry, haggard by the stress of his body before he suddenly pitched forward and his whole world went black.
