Disclaimer: Again, all this is the wonderful J. K. Rowling's. Although the
Giggle Squash is my own invention.
There was an inane giggle, "The train's red..."
Parvati just sight and patted the giggler on her hand, "Yes, we know Hermione. Now you just sit there while Lavender tries to find Harry and Ron."
Hermione giggled again at that statement, her eyes looking vacantly out of the window, watching the countryside rush past at an alarming rate. "It's so fast..." She bounced and turned to the Asian girl, "I want to stay on here forever and ever and ever." A slightly worried look crossed Hermione's face. "You won't let anyone take me off, will you? No one would mind me staying on here, will they? I won't cause any trouble..."
"Care to wager on that?" Parvati muttered, thinking back to the wreckage of the sweet cart that had caused the problem in the first place.
Hermione was about to reply when suddenly two figures burst into the room, "Out foul fiend! Leave your vessel and return her to her natural state!"
The other of new occupants of the compartment, Ron, blinked and turned towards George - who'd shouted the first words. "What's with the melodramatic nonsense?"
George shrugged, "It worked with Ginny when she was like this," he motioned towards the brown haired girl in the corner of the compartment, who was currently watching unseen things float about and laughing as she did so.
"Yes, but Ginny was three and all you did was upset her. Hermione's just overdosed on Giggle Squash; it'll wear off in a couple of minutes."
Just as he finished, there was a small 'pop!' which resulted in the giggler looking round the carriage, a much more focused, if an extremely bewildered, look on her face. "What's going on?" she asked.
