Chapter One- Freak Show
People were rushing past each other, quick to claim their seats, like audiences at a freak show at the circus.
Only, I was the freak they came to watch today.
"All rise for the members of the Wizengamot Wizard High Court." As the crowd rose with silence, I caught a glimpse of Harry and Ron who had gotten a seat at the second to the last row of benches. Harry looked lifeless- his emerald eyes did not shine with their usual brightness, and Ron just looked sad.
"We are here today to examine Miss Hermione Granger's case, as she has been accused of murder and manslaughter," announced the Head of the Wizengamot, Cornelius Fudge. A scribe in the corner of the room was busy taking down notes.
"Why did you do it Miss Granger?" Fudge asked, leaning forwards to look down at me, with curiosity written all over his face.
"Why did I do what?" I brought the question mark back to him even though I knew exactly what he was going to say next.
"Why did you murder Mr. Draco Malfoy?"
