Chapter One: Jamie Nutersim
It was Lily's first year at Hogwarts. She had just been sorted into Ravenclaw and they were all getting ready for the big annual Hogwarts feast. Foods of all kinds appeared. Mince meat pies, deviled eggs, steak, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and about a million other famous dishes. Lily quietly tucked in, for she didn't know anyone. Soon, a girl who introduced herself as Jamie Nutersim, came and sat down by her.
"Hi, are you a first year too?" asked Jamie.
"Yeah," replied Lily with a friendly tone and with the hope that she might make a new friend.
"Yeah, same here. You're in Ravenclaw too? Have you seen the prefect? He's a hottie!" said Jamie looking to the left of Lily.
Lily looked to the left as well and saw who Jamie meant. He was rather attractive. Brown hair with some obvious blonde highlights. Very lean. He also had a very shiny badge pinned to his robes, which had the letter "P" on it.
"What's his name?" Lily asked awed by his looks.
"Not sure. I think somebody called him Malcolm. I don't think the name suits him well. He's more of a Josh or a Joe."
"I don't know, Malcolm's okay. He looks really old though! He must be a fifth year since he's a prefect," Lily answered still looking to her left at Malcolm.
"Yeah, oh well! There must be some good looking first year guys too!" Jamie exclaimed with high hopes. "Hey, you never told me your name," Jamie continued.
"Lily. Lily Evans."
"Cool. Well I'm about done eating. You ready to go follow the prefect up to our dorm rooms?"
"Just about," Lily replied. She ate her chocolate pudding up real fast and dashed out the door with Jamie.
And from then and on, Lily Evans and Jamie Nutersim were best friends.
