~Gabriel's Mourning~

It was the eve of All Hallows,
And the noight was consuming day in gaping swallows.
I was lounging around on my master's bed.
The place I would learn she'd lay dead.
No hope left for her strugglimg soul.
After this night Hell would take its toll,
And victims would suffer.
Angry has the world grown, harsh and tougher.
My master lifted me into her embrace.
Yearning more attention, I began to paw her shirt lace.
Her laugh was soft and light,
And shimmering was her brown eyes, alive and bright.
Only one word could describe her, angel.
She lifted her finger to me, alone and single,
And batted my pink nose playfully.
I purred gayfully.
I was happy and at peace,
Though deep down I knew this couldn't last long and with a sudden release,
It ended right before my eyes.
I could sense something, somthing I'd despise,
There at the door.
I hopped down skillfully to the floor.
My fangs and claws bared.
Contents of the room were now tattered and teared.
I hissed sharply as they seized my master,
My heart beating ever faster.
I was kicked across the room,
Only to watch her oncoming doom.
Evil was heavy in the air.
My sharp eyes drifted to her, now shivering and bare.
They cut her, raped her.
Lower than any bastards ; they were.
I tried to walk,
But couldn't and for once wished I could talk.
Then I heard a muffled worried voice.
I made the choice.
I yowled as loud as I could,
Though they kicked me, as I knew they would.
Then the door stood ajar,
As my master's friend stood not to far.
I howled again this time in panic.
I squirmed, my tail swishing and my eyes frantic.
My master's friend lay across the floor.
I hissed loathingly , though they never payed heed to me nor,
My master as the dragged her friend away.
Still I lay,
And watched helplessly as they beat him.
I couldn't stop them.
Suddenly two loud explosions alerted me.
They were forceful and sharp as could be.
He stumbled back,
Breaking the window and falling into the black.
As so my world turned that way,
And I rested where I lay.
