Dance with Me

How did I get here?
I never even saw this coming. I mean Yama and I standing in the middle of a dance floor making out like we were the only two people in the room. To tell you the truth I never even thought of doing this before. But now that I've tasted him, I can't believe that I haven't.
I mean Yamato is the most attractive person that I know and I've always openly admired his beauty, so it's only natural that I should think of kissing him. But I didn't. I guess you're wondering how the hell we ended up in the middle of the dance floor in the first place.
Yamato called me up earlier this evening and told me that he wanted me to go with him to check out a club that had opened a few weeks ago. I declined--clubbing really wasn't my thing--And suggested that he go with his band members as usual. He said that he was but he wanted me there. In the end I relented because I hadn't seen him in a few days.
A couple hours after we talked Yamato and his band showed up on my doorstep and it was off to the club from there. When we got to the club I was assaulted by loud techno music as I walked through the door. Yamato and his band were greeted by almost everyone we passed on the way to a table and I wondered why the hell I was even here--I felt very out of place. I hate clubs. They're too loud and have too many people in them.
We were at the club for a couple of hours and I had relaxed quite a bit. I had worked up a buzz and was generally having a good time talking to people--I didn't dance. My dancing is a disaster waiting to happen. Yamato always seemed to think otherwise, but I think he just says that because he enjoys watching me embarrass myself.
I hadn't seen Yamato in a while. The last time I saw him he was being dragged off to the dance floor by some groupie--He had this really pathetic look on his face. It was quite hilarious to watch him try to pry her off of him.
Anyway, I was in the middle of a conversation with one of his band members when he showed back up. He tapped me on the shoulder to get my attention and when I turned around he grabbed my hand and hauled me out of my seat. The action was unexpected so I crashed into him knocking him back a few steps. Yamato helped me regain my balance, holding me flush against his body and looked down into my eyes. He had a weird expression on his face. But he spoke before I could figure out what it was.
"Dance with me, Chi." He said in a low sultry sounding voice. This took me so much by surprise that I had no choice but to comply. He dragged me out on to the dance floor, all the while wearing that weird expression.
We had been dancing for quite some time--me still trying to figure out what the hell that expression was. When I realized that I had yet to fuck up, dancing wise that is. Then next thing I noticed was Yamato lowering his head. And then I felt his lips brush against mine.
I froze in shock, the mass of people still moving frantically around us to the beat of the loud techo music the speakers were blaring. And then I kissed back. I never knew how something so small--seemingly insignificant--could have such a great affect on me.
But I shouldn't be surprised. Yamato and I have been so close for so long now. This is only a natural progression of our relationship. So as I stand here in the middle of the dance floor kissing my best friend amid a mass of bodies I smile.
Who would have thought that this would come about simply because Yamato asked me to dance?
