"3018 from Holby control", the radio crackled into life. "3018 all ready and received." Nikki said into the radio. "999 call. 3 people involved in car crash. Police at site. A404" "3018, ready and mobile", Nikki stated the usual words and told Josh, "There's been an accident, on the A404" "Okay then, lets get going" Josh replied. They buckled up and started the ambulance and siren.
"Oh, great. Look at the queues. It's going to take ages to get through. Turn up the siren, beep the horn!" Nikki told Josh. "I'm trying my best, but I can't get through", Josh was angry now. "Look, over there," Nikki said, pointing at a path that the cars had made. "Oh yeah. I can probably get through there and drive up the hard shoulder, towards the police lights up there." Josh drove through the path and up the hard shoulder. They got to the crash and had a shock.
