"Innocence"- 2:51 p.m., October 19, 2003
Dedicated to my Meryl-loving split personality . . . Bob.
Murder is a crime. Homicides occur every day in every city on Gunsmoke, and it's a crime. The rest of the planet doesn't seem to realize this.
People are innocent. Milly believes that every person on Gunsmoke deserves a chance to live, to have another opportunity in life before they are judged. I know that her beliefs seem foolish, and no one would agree with them . . . but there is that small hope.
Some people do actually have a softer side, apart from their rough one. Humans are creatures of habit, and after a while of killing on the planet they have adapted to it. If something happens, not only do they ignore it, but they encourage it as well. Sounds odd, I know, but they would willingly take the life of another as quick as they turn their ears away from the sound of gunshot elsewhere.
And then . . . there are some people who go toward the sound of gunshot like a magnet, and I'm thinking of one right now. Vash the Stampede. Death, destruction, chaos . . . they seem to follow him everywhere, and at the sound of screams or gunshots, he'll be there. Foolish. Ignorant . . . stupid . . .
I couldn't think of as many bad words to say about the falsely accused outlaw as I could good. Yes, he can be foolish at times, but he is good-natured and loyal.
But . . . he can also be fierce. When innocent lives have been taken, I can assure you he'd come at you like a battering ram. That's kind of how he got his name. Or, well, it'd only seem right. But there is one real thing that anyone knows of him . . .
He is not innocent. Yes, he has killed, yes, he has blown up a town, yes, he put a hole in the moon, and yes, he has destroyed private property. It wasn't a crime to blow a hole into the fifth moon, but murder and destruction of private and public property is a crime, and for that he has been dubbed the Humanoid Typhoon, or more commonly known as Vash the Stampede.
For all that, and even through his loyalty and kind heart . . . his innocence is non-existent.
Author's Notes: This needs to be tweaked . . . I'll tweak it later. I was joking about the dedication part at the top ^_^ My split personality is Bill ^_^ I might add another chapter at Milly's POV, I dunno yet . . . r/r!
