it with them in mind.

A/N: This just came to me…as do all the others…I hope you like it.
I've been the one
Who took care of you.
I was simply the doctor,
Then later a friend.
You were often injured,
So you spent
Much time with me
As I learned more about you,
I found myself falling for you.
I thought I would die
When I lost you,
And you ascended.
You had become very dear
To me and others,
But they didn't realize
How I felt.
I cried the night
That you left us all behind.
I was really missing you.
Somehow you came back
To me, to them.
I was so happy
I could have kissed you right then
In thanks for returning.
How I wanted to say
I love you.
I wish I had.
It would have been wonderful.
Then you would have known I loved you.
Now it is too late.
Our roles are switched.
Now I can't tell you
About the feelings I have
You lean over me
And I feel what you do.
Now I see
You love me, too.
All I can do now is hope
We'll be one on the other side.
