I hold you in my arms
Yet you pull away
"Wait, Inu Yasha"
Don't run away

Every day I look at you
And I see the pain in your eyes
I know now what you're going through
I feel the pain you cannot disguise

I walk towards the god tree
Knowing what ill see
You and Kikyou embracing
The site is too much for me

I cannot compete with your past
For that is only a memory
I'm here now and I cannot wait for an eternity

I run home feeling sad
You follow unknown to me
You watch while I cry in my bed
Then decide to leave me be

My feelings still have not changed
And my heart is still in pain
Leaving me with tears that fall like the rain

I wait for you beside the old dry well
I hope my voice don't fail
You come soon after
And we hold hands going back down the trail

Every moment I think of you
And it tears me apart inside
