I was thinking up a scene for my Anime Realm fic and I just decided to let
Kento and Kousei run loose in my imagination. In the scene, Kento explains
to Kousei why Rowen hates dubbing and why Rowen attends little cult
conventions. In the scene, Kento uses several analogies and references to
food to get his point across. Then, I realized that his conclusion and his
comments about food make absolutely perfect sense!
I'm rather proud of Kento-bear! ^_^ Sometimes when I let characters run loose, they do... unspeakable things...
I truly realized that Kento thinks about everything in terms of food. Anyway, I decided to put Rowen and Kento together in my head and have them discuss a tricky old Greek riddle to see how Kento would solve it with his food-oriented mind.
Here's what I got:
Rowen: Everything that I tell you is a lie.
Kento: Suppose you hate this type of food because it tastes nasty. Then, you're starving and the only thing you can eat is that food. Well, right then you love that food. It is the same type of inconsistency.
Rowen: The problem is, "Am I lying or telling the truth?" It's a paradox. It cannot make sense, so there shouldn't be a right answer. I cannot always lie, because then that statement would be a truth. But that statement cannot be a truth, because I always lie. Do you understand how there's no way to solve a paradox?
Kento: You lie most of the time but not all of the time. You think you lie all the time. A starving person thinks he hates the food in front of him, but he later learns that he loves it. However, when he isn't starving anymore, he hates the food again. He hates the food most of the time and thinks he hates it all the time. You lie most of the time and think you lie all the time.
Rowen: How can you tell if I'm lying or telling the truth?
Kento: I just have to find out. If someone gives me chicken to eat and it is a new recipe, I might not like it. If I want to find out if I'll like it before I eat it, I'll look through the recipe and learn what spices and ingredients were used. If I like all of the ingredients, then I'll know that I'll like the recipe.
Rowen: Because all the facts match up. You'll have to research whatever statement I make.
Kento: Right. Sometimes I like all of the ingredients but not when they're mixed in together. Then, there's only one way to find out.
MYSTIC: Kento is a food philosopher!!!!!!!!
