As you well know, the usual things apply. Premise - Xander and Spike switch bodies
Chapter Five -I'll Take the Sedan
After a long, sweet kiss, Spike raises his head. Looking a bit sheepish, another new look for him, he speaks, "Ahh Buff, I really need to."
He doesn't finish his sentence as she pulls his mouth to hers again. Somewhere in the back of her mind she reasons that Xan won't mind if she takes his body out for a test drive. She'll be careful, she mentally promises her best friend, just as a warm, masculine tongue pierces her lips.
Pulling back, she asks "Your place?"
At that he just smiles and takes her by the hand.

Anya slowly comes awake. The body lying half way on top of hers doesn't feel quite right - all angles and points. While the sex was mind blowing, it was kind of like a sports car, yeah it's fun for a while but when it comes down to it, the sedan has better gas mileage and better leg room. She finds herself missing her big ol' teddy bear, so warm and solid.
As she reflects on these things, another thought comes to mind, she had caught a couple looks of panic while they had been together. Not that he wanted to stop - no, not by far but she had caught those looks of panic. She tries not to move as not to wake him for a few more moments. She anticipates his reaction to confronting having spent an enjoyable day in bed as his worst enemy.
*****************
He has led her to an isolated cove on the beach. It's high tide and there's only so much room between the rocks and the surf. As soon as she sees the spot, she knows. She knows what he wants. And for the life of her, she can't deny him this.
Looking at the unrestrained joy in his eyes, she joins in, eagerly pulling her shirt off in the late afternoon sunshine.
****************
Xander wakes with a start. He immediately senses the sun going down. His movement rouses Anya. The sight of her brings the memories of their day rushing back to him. Oh God, what if. What if he hurt her? Well, duh? To borrow Dawn's favorite expression. Of course he hurt her. He hurt her and used her for food.
She wakes to his cold hands shaking her. An Americanized version of Spike's velvet voice coming out of his mouth. "Oh God, Ahn, are you OK. I am so sorry. I don't know what got into me."
He stops at his words before continuing. "OK, back up, I do know what got into me. It's what I got into - this damned body of Spike's. And now, Oh God, you've slept with Spike! You SLEPT with SPIKE! How could you? He's a vampire," he cries.
After ranting on for several minutes, he finally gets a handle on what he's saying. "Ahn, I'm sorry, double, triple sorry." He looks at her face that looks none too happy as she storms out of the room.
****************
After several wonderful hours in the wet sand, Buffy and Spike decide that it's time to head home. Between the wet clothes, the sand in tender places and the beginning of a sunburn, Spike is actually looking forward to going back to the whelp's apartment for a shower and a clean set of clothes.
Buffy seems to have faired a bit better as she is moving a sprightly as ever. That's his girl, take a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. A few steps in of front of him, she is the first to encounter some icky creature set on destruction.
As usual, he dives into help only to find that his reflexes are way off. Trying anyway, he forges ahead. After several hard blows and such, he feels a stabbing pain in his shoulder and down he goes.
It takes Buffy several minutes to depose of the latest nasty. When she turns to Spike, she finds a copious amount of blood staining his shirt. Plus he is out cold. She remembers she needs to check his pulse. It's least it's steady for now. Realizing that there is no way that she can move his current bulk, she fishes the cell phone from his jacket and calls for reinforcements.
Waiting for help to arrive, she sits on the grass beside of Xander's body. Not animated with Spike's personality, it looks like Xander again. She keeps firm pressure on the wound, feeling responsible for Xander's welfare and Spike's. During the fight, she didn't even think that Spike might get hurt. She was so used to him being able to take care of himself and even lend a hand if need be.
The thought gets her thinking. The sun was wonderful, the ice cream even better, lying in the sand and hearing his heart beat was great too. But all these things are overshadowed by the prospect of losing him. There are some things to be said for having an immortal, superhuman boyfriend. Number one being that he can't go and get himself killed so easily. Feeling tired and damp, she hopes that the spell will wear off soon.
