I do not own Underworld or any of its characters. This is a (very) short little fluff fic that I came up with when I read the novelization of Underworld.

And I'd like to thank Villainbabe for the title suggestion, since I've never been able to think of a good title for a fanfic.

Ok, here it is.

Kraven stared as Selene slowly sunk her fangs into Michael's throat.

To say he was livid would be an understatement. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" he roared at her.

Then the chuckle caused him to turn his head towards the source of the voice.

Lucian.

He was slumped against the wall opposite Kraven, a triumphant look on his face.

"You may have killed me cousin," he began with a smirk. "But my will is done regardless."

Snarling, Kraven raised his gun, aiming the barrel right between Lucian's eyes.

Lucian knew his life was over, but he no longer cared.

Sonja, my beloved, I will be joining you soon. Though I die, my war is over, my vengeance, completed…

Kraven pulled the trigger.

The first thing Lucian noticed was that he was falling.

All he saw was white, and he heard nothing.

Then it stopped, as his back hit something hard. He slowly rose to his feet, trying to see where he was, but all he saw was white, and it appeared that he was standing on air.

"What in the hell…" he began.

"Actually, it's quite the opposite; or so I think."

Lucian's eyes widened at the sound of the familiar voice as he turned around. "Raze?"

Raze smiled. "Hello Lucian."

Lucian looked around confused. "Where are we?"

"We're dead."

That was when Lucian remembered: he had been down in the cavern, dieing from the silver nitrate bullet that Kraven had shot at him. Kraven had shot him again, and now he was here.

"What happened to you though?" Lucian asked.

"Viktor killed me," was Raze's reply. "It'll be a shame not being able to see what Viktor does to that spineless coward Kraven, seeing as how he killed me in less than ten seconds.

Lucian opened his mouth to reply, but Raze cut him off. "Lucian, there is someone here who's been waiting for you."

Lucian looked slightly confused for a moment, but then Raze pointed behind him. Lucian turned…

…and there she stood.

For a moment Lucian wasn't sure what to do, he looked back at Raze, who slowly backed up.

"I'll let you two be alone," he said before turning and disappearing into the whiteness of the mysterious place, but by now Lucian had figured that they were in the afterlife.

When he was gone Lucian turned and gazed back at her; at Sonja, his beloved princess, as she walked towards him.

"I love you," Lucian whispered to her as she neared him and ran one of her small hands across his face.

She smiled. "And I love you."

Their lips met.

And then Lucian and Sonja, lovers who had been torn apart by war for more than six hundred years, faded away into eternity as they embraced each other.

And Lucian's war was finally over.
