Wedding Come True
by Moonlit Eyes
A/N: A personal challenge. The story itself is a perfect 300 word count! Yay! I'm so impressed with myself! It's just a drabble, something spur of the moment.
Taichi POV
Weddings were always such grand affairs. Everyone so dressed up and emotional for the almost newly weds. Roses, and silks, and other various decorations strewn about. The room is hushed right now, paying attention to priest's words. Of course I'm not paying attention to this, Yamato could always do that to me. Who'd of thought it up? Yagami Taichi, practically melting at the alter just by the mere sight of the blond musician.
Tears are pricking my eyes, but I can hold them back. After all, I'm sure people are recording this and I really couldn't handle the embarrassment. I'll just grin my usual way and keep a white knuckle grip to banish away the emotions welling inside of me, emotions that are threatening to kill me.
Y'know, I've dreamt of this before. I feel like an idiot for saying that, but it's true. I dreamt of a wedding just like this one. All my loved ones sitting behind me, the music and laughter, the joy and love, and, of course, Yamato dressed up in a tuxedo that could only look perfect on him. Then add the freshly fallen sakura petals outside and presto, instant Taichi's Dream Come True!
"Sora, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
Of course there were details in my dream that didn't quite match this one. Then again, I suppose not every hero has a happy ending, ne? Sometimes the thief can slip away with the loot, just like Yamato has taken away my heart. Yeah, I know, corny.
Oh well, I suppose Best Man is an honorable title. Besides I should be happy, this is my best friend's wedding. He's taken a chance and captured his heart's desire. He's happy, so I should be too, right?
So why aren't I?
END!
