Author's note: This part is in chapter 8, book 2 of TSUBASA, once everyone
leaves Syaoran and Sakura together to prepare dinner. The song is from
Nickelback titled 'Someday' (beautiful track, you should hear it). This is
Syaoran's POV.
As everyone left the room, I watched Sakura as I held her hand. If only I could've stopped this from happening. If only I'd warned her not to come. If only I could've reached her before her memories were stripped away from her. Then she would be safe, then she would still be the Sakura I knew. My childhood friend, my princess, my most important person in the world.
How the hell did we wind up like this? /And why weren't we able/to see the signs that we miss/And try to turn the tables.
Every time I see her face, stone cold, I feel like screaming. I want her to wake up. Just for a moment I want to look at her smile meant only for me. There was always something in our way. Seeing each other often seemed impossible. Me, the son of an archeologist and she, a princess. I know now how precious those moments we spent together really are. That's why I want her back.
I wish you'd unclench your fist/And unpack your suitcase/Lately there's been too much of this/But don't think it's too late.
That's why I'm going to save her.
Nothing's wrong just as long/As you know that someday I will/Someday, somehow/I'm gonna make it all right but not right now/I know you're wondering when/(You're the only one who knows that)/Someday, somehow/I'm gonna make it all right but not right now/I know you're wondering when.
And when I do, I'll tell her everything before the Witch, who is now helping me go through different worlds to collect Sakura's memories, takes her love for me away. I'll tell her how much I love her and how I wish only for her happiness. And then maybe.
Well I'd hope that since we're here anyway/We can end up saying/things we've always needed to say/So we can end up staying.
But until then I have to collect Sakura's memories. I will never be satisfied until all of her memories returns. I know something uncertain is waiting for us through all of this. I know danger is lurking somewhere, but for what reason I am not sure. Whatever it is, I'll always protect Sakura, no matter what, so that.
Now the story's played out like this/Just like a paperback novel/Let's rewrite an ending that fits/Instead of a Hollywood horror.

Just then Fye enters the room. "We have to go now, Syaoran," he says to me.
I nodded in reply. Still the thoughts swirls in my head.

Sakura, hold on. I promise, I'll save you.

A little too romantic, but I really wanted to catch Syaoran's emotions as possible as I could. The story came to me while I was reading TSUBASA and after a while I heard this song from Nickelback. The idea came instantly to me. It's not that great but I hope you guys like it.
